5 of the teams in the top eight are English. If that isn’t proof that the Prem is the best and most competitive league in the world, I don’t know what is. Sure, football is football and anyone can beat anyone, especially in knockout games, but over a longer, mini-season format, the depth and consistency of the Premier League really shows. No other league, not La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, or even the Bundesliga outside of Bayernn, could realistically have multiple teams competing for a top-four spot in the Premier League over the long run.
>>153197047And, even bottom of the barrel ENG teams like Spurs are easily dominating European giants like Dortmund.
>>153197047I don't understand why all of you are pissing yourselves like this is something new.Premier is the best, it has been ever since it started making bank in the early 2000's and serie a fell off
>>153197047I remember last year when PSG raped all of the bong teams, I'm quite courios what will be the excuse when no bong team is in the final this year
>>153197047>>153197151it's worth noting that PSG finished 15th last year. And then they won the Champions league. In other words league phase is almost meaningless
Anglos wonkrauts, Iberians and latinx eternally seething
Awful format. Boring. Sovless. Bring back the old champions league where only the actual champions from each league are allowed
>>153197337>only champions inhow is arsenal supposed to play it then
>>153197342Non-champions would play in the Europa Cup. Maybe we allow the winner of that to qualify for the next champions league
I'm not watching filler episodes.
>>153197235>>153197151UEFA fucked up last year.Arsenal finished higher in the table and should've played the second leg at home, but instead they played in Paris. This season they corrected it, so the team that finishes higher on the table always plays the second leg at home.
fuck dude bayern is truly the best ran club of them all, they play against shit teams 95% of the time and they're still top tierI'm thinking they get the CL this year
>>153197605I'm not sure that would have changed anything. I mean Arsenal lost at home, travelled to Paris and lost again
>>153197615Bayern just know how to beat shitters. Every season is like this for them and they always end up losing to the first good team they face in the knockouts.
>>153197672You always want the second leg to be at home, especially if it's a mist win game.
>>153197151PL clubs have to play two difficult games a week. Other big European teams only need to play one difficult game a week when they reach the latter stages of the competition. That naturally gives other European teams and advantage during the latter stages of the competition when fatigue starts setting in. And Liverpool, Villa and Arsenal all gave PSG a decent challenge, Inter and Brest were the only teams that PSG raped in last season's KO phase (and then they somehow lost to Chelsea in the Chrischan Cup).
>>153197337This.I want OM and OL fags to seethe.
seems it would be pretty easy to solve the problem; don't allow one country to have six teams. not rocket science.
>>153197834But the marketingWe NEED ManU to play every seaso-waaaaaait...
>>153197047The current cope is the following>english teams are good because they have money and depth>they can rotate in champions league>this benefits them in the league phase>because english league is competitive for the entire year, they will be forced to start their best in the champions league knockout phase>farmersliga teams can just play their bench in the league, walk it, and focus on cl>this helps farmersliga teams do better in the knockout phase
>CHAMPIONS League>teams ending the season as 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ... allowed to participatecan't explain that
>>153197871Too bloody rightOnly league and domestic cup winners should be in
>>153197871the thing is... teams ending the season as 2nd, 3rd, 4th in EPL can easily be the champions in Laliga, Bundesliga, Serie A
>>153197887>cup winnersbring it back
>>153197859>objectively correct>demonstrable fact>eh>english cope, they have the most uneven, top-heavy league. The big boys do not bring their A game to Norwich, Watford or Burnley and everyone knows it, that's an excuse to use when they choke either to a portuguese club (oh but we had to play Wolves, that's a tough away day) or choke to a relegation candidate (we were away in Belgium and that's the roughest crown in Europe). It's far more true for italian clubs since Serie A has had a more uniform level for a while>last two are only true for Bayern and PSGAll of that applies for Real far more than it does english clubs.
>>153197948>english cope, they have the most uneven, top-heavy leaguenumber of teams to have won the premier league in the last decade>4number of teams to have won ligue un and la liga in the last decade>3
>>153198024Try 8 different winners in the last decade
>>153197151>>153197235Meme retard narrative that gets repeated constantly, PSG played with many injuries in the first half of the year and then they went and bought one of the best players in the world in Kvara.
>>153198038I actually like the MLS thoughever
>>153198043>one of the best players in the world in Kvaralolthat guy can't finish for shit
It exposed it to dimwits like you
>>153197047It was never a debate and I don't even like the EPL. The last time you could make this sound like new information was the early 2000s when Beckham was still playing for ManU.
>>153197898>teams ending the season as 2nd, 3rd, 4th in EPL can easily be the champions in ... BundesligaNo they could not. They could easily be 2nd place though.
That's not to say that Bundesliga isn't the worst shitter one-team-league though, just to clarify.>the power of 50+1
>>153197948>>english cope, they have the most uneven, top-heavy league. It's far more true for italian clubs since Serie A has had a more uniform level for a whilethe english league is more physically demanding than the other leagues>last two are only true for Bayern and PSGwhich matters a lot because they are consistently in the semi finals and can win it

>>153197871>>153197834have a 16 team CL so that you have less teams from any one country without compromising on quality of competition
