The Olympics medal table is nice, but there's a reason the IOC doesn't officially proclaim winners in total. Some medals are arguably worth more than others because the sport is bigger. China winning every water diving medal is impressive, but at the end of the day, more people will watch the 400m final in athletics
Football is the biggest sport and the biggest business. If I had to choose, I'd choose football

Funnily enough, we used to be good at both the Olympics and football. Now we are mediocre at both
