so I think ski mountaineering "sprint" is always going to be an oxymoron meme event, but also it could be better. the uphill part shouldn't have "obstacles" like that initial part where it's impossible to overtake, just go straight uphill. the downhill part should be moguls, add actual difficulty to the skiing. either that or just make it an ungroomed, wider, steeper downhill instead of an easy groomed course. Need to give an advantage to good skiing somehow otherwise the downhill is pointless.
