It's all about the tiny details:>the leg touching the rink on each beat during the spin>much more energy matching the cheerfullness, more difficult jumps>nice dance intermission starting from 3:30, each move is deliberately and matches the rhythm of the music, even minor things like the hand bends at 3:50, the split jump at 4:24>she does all of this while staying cheerful and energetic, showing no sign of exhaustion after several difficult jumps>the finale is beautiful too, the final spin starting 4:29 matching the orchestra crescendo perfectly and topping it all offjust pure kino and sovl.(1/2)

My main problem with this is also that she stops any artistry before a difficult jump, just picking up speed and basically doing nothing, this will be a theme throghout the entire performance.The worst part of the performance is when the music switches up to a weird circus beat, and here it starts falling apart. the jumps start matching at 3:00 and 3:14, but it's literally the same hand and skate movements as in the first part just slightly more energetic and with barely any variations. The final jump doesn't even match the end of the music. The lacrimosa part I like a lot, FINALLY she is showing off some soul and the end is kino too.To sum it up, my main issue is that while the difficulty is overall on a a higher level, the ENTIRE performance as a cohesive thing is just not there. It feels like a disjointed highlight reel with a very awkward middle part.

Rewatching Alysa's free skate and she does all the triples in the first two thirds of the routine. While technically this is the strongest part of her routine, I find myself rewatching the final third over and over just for it's creativity with the music. You can tell she was having so much fun by the end once all the tough jumps were out of the way.Even if she'd done a bunch of quads instead of triples I'd still think of the final third of this performance in the years to come.
