7.5/10 for me
>>1536119158.5, very enjoyable distraction from perpetual blackpill suppositories
sovlfvl
background noise/10
>>153611915Depends how the hockey gold medal game goes
>>153611915I'd say probably 8/10?Definitely one of the more comfy Olympics in recent memory. Could just be that my life is shittier now, so it was a nice change of pace, but who knows. I'm actually feeling sad that they're over.
7/10winter olympics are always the better ones for sureunfortunately was away for a week in the middle, bummed to have missed a lot of stuff liveloses points for boring, sovlless genAI slop opening ceremonygains points for good dog
Asterisk/10 for me
10 (gold) / 10 (silver+bronze)
>>153612272>loses points for boring, sovlless genAI slop opening ceremonyIt was just a one minute scene, stop pretending you're mad.
>>1536119158/10
>>153612647not only that, it was also used across official social media channels to advertise the games/sportseither way, the opening ceremony was extremely underwhelming and boring, coming from fucking italy
8.25/10
i miss stefi
>>153612861You can blame journos for that. Ever since all the bad promotion they gave to both Athens (making a lot of people believe the Olympics were the sole cause of the greek crisis) and Sochi (when the costs of hosting those games came out), it was clear the IOC tried to make all future hosts do much subtler ceremonies (starting in Rio) compared to the showbiz we had in the 90s and the 2000s. Of course that didn't stopped the baguettes from trying to do something big. Too bad thei hired a faggot who did the most talmudic ceremony ever (and who I hope is kept away as much as possible from 2030 since the french are hosting again)
10/10 thanks to Racoon.
>>153611915If we win hockey 9.5 of 10 I guess I should be gay about the weak opening ceremony just to be critical. I accept that we might never win another Winter Olympics because of the ski racing spams so second place would be awesome. If we lose hockey than >>153611994don’t think Italy has anything to be ashamed about very first world Olympics they accomplished here well done.
>>15361191510/10I liked our figure skaters, the British skeleton team, and now a kino hockey final to cap it offAnd Italy was comfy
>>153611915OK i fix my score: ok 10/10 Olympics we beat our personal best in golds I had no idea. That is 10/10 11/10 cannot do any better than this.Won in the premiere sports:Ice Hockey and Figure Skating WomensMost Golds for our countryItalian opening ceremony was wholesome who cares fuck it10/10
>>153611915we won both hockey golds so 10
>>1536119157/10bit forgettable but very fun.LA is gonna be a dumpster fire, but we're probably gonna get some excellent memes out of it.
>>15361191518(gold medals)/10Really though 8/10. Good arrangements, great locations, some great sports.Just wish the /fs/ pedos here would fuck off.
>>153620976Figure skating is half the point of the Winter Olympics, and the other half is hockey. You’re only malding because you’re irrelevant. Get over it
>>153621056Yes, you keep ogling your underaged girls, fucking pedo.
>>1536119159/10 only because our curling zoomers blew it
>>153621074They raised the age limit dumb casual
>>153611915Solid 8. No major problems outside cheating Canadians.
>sweet caroline, country roads, titanium and a sky full of stars start playing
>>153621056I haven't watched a single minute of hockey or figure skating but I've watched pretty much everything else
>>153621056>thinking figure skating isn't irrelevantlmao, it's on the level of short track or ski jumpingCross country skiing (50 km), curling, ice hockey. All the last greatest medals on the last two days. That's what's proves the relevancy
>>153621272You’re objectively wrong, figure skating gets the biggest viewership by far and people actually care. Nobody gives a fuck about cross country skiiingAlysa won the gold medal and went from 300k instagram followers to over 3m in like a dayKlaebo won 6 (SIX) gold medals and nobody knows who the fuck he isYou’re just wrong
>>153621272it's the most popular event for winterwhy I have no idea, but it is
>>1536119158/10, great highs and lows.
6/10 barely adequate but not truly badlots of sub par tracks and camera work bring it down a lotthe athletes were not truly next gen and lots of old ppl wonwas still soulful and had a good time watching
>>153621349lmao >wow an American wins a gold and get popularHer instagram followers per capita is nothingIt's perhaps like the Superbowl only popular with gays in America. But I promise you, it's not even reaching the front pages in Europe
>>153621452You can keep saying >nuh uh!! all you want but you’re wrong, get over it. Everything in reality refutes you. Your personal preference is not an objective metric
>>153613068>the Alps region gets to have the Olympics back to backhow is this even allowed
>>153621510Everyone knows Kläbo is the king of these Olympics. These will probably be known as the "Kläbo Olympics" like for Phelps. Figure skaters' names will not be remembered. They're all retired by the age of 18
>>1536119158/10. Better than Beijing and Vancouver certainly. Worse than Pyeong Chang and Sochi. Coverage was weird, a lot of sports happening simultaneously, broadcast failures, opening ceremony just got a passing grade, snow sports are still spin2win, Gala Figure Skating was the second best after Pyeong Chang's. Overall, I don't think I got as engaged/hooked as I wanted to, and I blame it on the sports being boring and monotonous this time around (the level of the competitions felt amateurish). Still, it was very enjoyable and overall I felt highly entertained. Let's see how's the closing ceremony going to look like.
>>153622264Actually, never mind, I just remembered we got Gold, so it was a 8.5/10. I still miss Russlavs, though. Glad they'll be back by the time of the next one.
>>153621349an attractive woman gaining thirsty instagram followers? yeah that's what this is really about, but going by that logic Klaebo getting 8 digit number of views on his uphill sprint means he won the popularity contest too
>>153611915It was a solid 8 for me, but then the hockey gold shot it up to 10/10 and my favorite winter Olympics in my life.
>>153623165Ilia Malinin also mogs Klaebo’s instagramHe’s a nobody collecting meme medals in a sport that nobody rates
>>1536119159/10salty boomer leaf tears make my day.
>>153611915mountaineering sucked saw a few crashes the timing was shit to see live hereso 2/10
>>153613068Sochi was so expensive because Russia had to literally build an entire winter sport complex from nothing, and they saw it as a tool of statecraft. 2004 fucked up Greece but they were insistent on hosting the Olympics (got angry when they didnt win 2000) and also the easy money was flowing in thanks to the EU, it had less to do with the Olympics and more to do with lazy monetary policy.
It was a solid winter olympics but it didn't have special factor like the other winter olympics and had weird stuff like banning russian athletesi give it a 7.5
>>153611915btw since Brazil brought this up NO the closing ceremony will not ever bring down my 10/10 that is gay behavior. All you need to do a good closing ceremonies is things feel misty eyed and they light or snuff a torch I forget.
>>153623534Timing wasn't that bad for me, you either have to watch on the morning to 2PM or prime time and late at night. However you are speaking from YOUR experience I respect that.
>>153611915>canada caught cheating at curling>goes on to blow women's hockey game>then chokes the men's hockey game10/10
>>153612066my wives
did the France presentation for next olympics was really some generic images of people doing sports? i got that right or I missed something?that could have been a powerade/nike ad ffs
>>1536122729/10based doggo kino
8/10. Very comfy. Gutted for our curlers, but between that, the skiing, snowboarding, luge, skeleton and figure skating, it was nice to have something to cheer for on a fairly consistence basis for a change. I hope these games mark a turning point for our country and we start taking winter sports more seriously.Good job, Italy!
8.5/10. It was carried by figure skating and speed skating for me, but I also like curling, the US vs. Canada game, and I learned that I like skiing and snowboarding more than I thought. Overall it was good.
>>1536119159/10. No complaints really. Simply a good Olympics. Italy is cool.
>>153621272coping big time here
>>153611915I'm gonna miss waking up and having alpine skiing, into xc/biathlon, into long track speed skating/germanywinslol sliding into freestyle rigged kino/short track/figure skating
>>15361191510/10 made Canada eat shit and the raccoon girl is cute
>>153611915kino/10, not even in my best dreams could I have imagined they would turn out this well
Luge doubles made me horny. Alysa welled me with pride and joy Canada got completely cucked9/10
>>15361191510/10Curling and hockey. Cheaters got what they deserve at the end.
>>153612066Without the Russians, girls are no longer suffering.
>>153621452salelam aleykum, brother. I think that was his point, no one gives a shit about europoors.
>>153636039Only four more years…..
8,5/10 I really enjoyed it and some of the venues were cool, Bormio is always kino
Instant 2 points knocked off for no Russia. Puts an asterisk on figure skating and hockey. Other than that, mostly good. 7,5/10

>>153645893She doesn’t get credit because she was a lock for gold and then didn’t even podium. That gala skate was more annoying than anything, it shows how good she is, but she didn’t show up when it mattered. This was a very underwhelming Olympics for what our figure skaters were supposed to bring to the table. Alysa’s gold was a good consolation prize, but we’re still peeved
I thoroughly enjoyed it but missed the first couple days some how. Didn’t tune until after the gay superb owl to the news of Lindsay vonn crashing out (which made all the ads with her in them they continued to air stupid and misleading). Bought a month of peacock and got to see most of what I wanted but I didn’t see enough of the big air skiing or snowboarding events which was a bummer. Did get to see biathalon and ski jumping though which I like. I thought the Jamaican bobsled team competed every time but I didn’t see them at all. For Paris 2024 I had dish network so I was unsure how using peacock would fare, it’s ok but there is a better more consistent multiview on dish and being able to swap back and forth with the previous channel button is better than navigating the app with an xbone controller. But it’s far cheaper and I’ll be cancelling soon, having paid less than $15 for the app instead of over $100 a month for garbage satellite tv. I was glued to the tv the entire time and barely left my house, replayed a lot of vidya on my Mac while watching, it was comfy. I just feel like the scheduling was all fucked up despite me being up all night central time. By the last few days though it was all curling all fucking day and night. I feel like I saw that blonde American stone thrower more than I’ve seen my gf this entire month. And the matches go on so fucking long. The USA annihilating Canada in the gold medal match was a great cherry on top though. The closing ceremony was very stupid but Kate Hudson is hot af so even the cringey modern pop version of California dreamin wasn’t total dog shit…just hope the LA Olympics aren’t a total train wreck. I’d give my experience a 6.8/10. Sochi 2014 was top notch for me, but ANYTHING is better than the Beijing disgrace of 2022, which I don’t remember anything from.
>>153612066Damn they are all so hideous. That’s effete the term “moblin “ comes from in Zelda
>>153649525You don’t have to watch just the main broadcast feed boomer, they had different categories for you to tune into whatever you want. And you can still go back and replay any events you wanted to see that you missed
>>153649525Oh and yeah but having Russia not in there made it feel very cheap. It’s bit a true winter games without them and beating them in hockey and figure skating is the ultimate triumph. Beating Canada so badly though was enjoyable. Reminder all this Ukraine bullshit started right after the closing ceremony of Sochi 2014
>>153649536No shit faggot

>>153623543Sochi was expensive because it was used to launder money for the oligarchs and the then-upcoming invasian of Ukraine >>153613068The whining about the Paris opening is so childish. 10/10. Between the emergence of Alysa Liu as the waifu of the decade, and both the US men and women teams thrashing Canada, this was about as good as it can possibly get. Complete US cultural victory. I love watching the Nordics seethe that no one gives a fuck about their bullshit skiing events.
