Ultimately it came down to 3 things, our goalie was amazing, luck(watch closely that save everyone posts, the crazy one, that was just pure straight up luck) but lastly and maybe most importantly, Canada choked. There was easily 5-6 times that by all rights Canada should have scored and put the game away. Any one of those would have done it. Whereas the US had very few chances, but made use of them. So yes, our goaltending was great, we got lucky, but it was canadas game to lose, and they lost it. I wonder if in the future you guys will think differently about roster construction, because I suspect that’s part of what happened.
