>this won gold at Olympics>this is the face of a million dollar brandGive me four years, cover all the expenses and I could pull this off
>>153647398prove you're serious and I'll cover the expenses
>>153647456You could probably do it yourself too anon
>>153647398Are you prepared to transition as well?
>>153647398>I could pull this offLMAO in four years you MIGHT be dropping into the halfpipe like this guy but you wouldn't even be able to do a straight air off any of these walls let alone a single rotation or invert let alone any of them together let alone even landing even the simplest of themkeep dreaming tho
>>153647398One thing I've learned in life is to not underestimate pros. If this shit looks easy to you, imagine how insanely precise and perfect you have to be to pull it off at that level. These people dedicate their lives to this shit, so imagine how good they must be.
>>153647549>>153647619>These people dedicate their lives to this shitWhat are you faggots on about? The people who pull that off are 20 max, they didn't train full time from 16, it's a seasonal sport and they're in highschool and taking the SAT while training. You're seriously overestimating what it takes to ride down a slope, it's not gymnastics or figure skating
>>153647704PS stop saying people dedicate their lives to sports, that's cringe, it doesn't happen. Most brutal training regimes max out at 3h per day
>>153647704>>153647718it doesn't matter anon, these "kids have 10-15+ years experience riding 6 months out of the year the northern hemisphere and all of them train in the offseason in the southern hemi (or the opposite depending on where they from). again you would need to 'catch up' to that amount of time to have any chance of competing not to mention overcome being a complete and total spiritual fatass
>>153647398I don’t think you realize how bad the other women were. Like only Eileen, Zoe, and to a lesser extent the girl who got silver seemed like actual pros. The rest of the competitors seemed like they were just taking an intermediate class taught by those girls.
>>153647549>>153647619People severely overestimate how much effort it takes to be better than 80% of people. And people severely underestimate how much effort it takes to be top 1%.
have finland ever won a medal
>>153647398Yes, women's sports are a meme.
>>153647704>I could go to the olympics if I really wanted toyeah
>>153647927I'm top 1% in a lot of things. It's very very hard to be top 0.000001%, which is what Olympians are
Better start on the HRT then
>>153648035Being a faggot isn’t “a lot of things”
>>153647704This anon is right in that freeski and snowboarding are still substantially underdeveloped, especially when talking about the women’s events and if compared to hyper competitive shit like figure skating and gymnastics, but to assume that just any fat spee fuck can come even a fraction of the way to Olympic competition is laughable.
>>153647549>4 years to learn how to drop inLike 1 afternoon, tops
>>153647952they always seem to finnish 4th
lmao it'll take you 4 years just to be able to air out the top - and that's being generous
I don't like the half pipe because it hurts so much when you fall
im top 1% of neets
>>153647398You're not Queen Eileen
>>153647718>>153647704idk how it is in your country but here you start at like 5-6 years old and if you actually have a real chance to go pro you are dropping out of school by 14-16 to pursue it full time. I had friends who were skippign school 3+ times a week at 15 to go hit the mountain and none of them sniffed pro even though they were all incredible. There are 8 year old kids here doing back flips in the park and 1 in 100 of them are going to have a chance at going pro and even less than that are actually going to make it
>>153648541That american guy falling 4 metres on his back/ass had me wincing
If there is a 15 year old lurking here who is above average in skiing, with a little dedication and a couple years of training they could most likely when gold in women's slopestyle or pipe. Eileen can barely do a double cork twice in a row, while men do triple corks by minimum to even get a podium. Most 15yo park rats can pull of a double cork. 2340 vs 1440.
You already got btfo at ylis lil chuddie
>>153647398Skiflip and all of snowboarding are pure memery that should not be olympic sports
Bro are you crazy like qualifying is super hard, only top 0,00001% can gohttps://youtu.be/3e1eh4dk2b4ACK
>>153647398 (OP)>Give me four ye—ACK!!!
>>153647398These meme sports should be dropped off from Olympics
>>153649620That happened once and FIS changed the rules specifically so it doesn't happen again.
>>153647549you have a casuals mindset.1200 days of constant snowboarding, without injury, could get a fit man in his early 20s to a professional womans olympic final qualification level.using the same trick learning equipment the pross use he could master some spins and flips and do them in the pipe. after a week you could do a 360 in a small halfpipe in a regular park.
>>153647619>These people dedicate their lives to this shit, so imagine how good they must be.>18 year olds
>>153649895Dude, they spent two thirds of their lives on skees
>>153647398I agree, if a woman can do it then so can i, with my hands tied even
>>153649442>>153649895This>>153648014Unironically, the bar is in hell
>>153647398>a fucking mario kart track
>>153649442>>153649944>>153649890shut the fuck upyou only have hills in your countries, you don't drive to the alps, you don't skikill all zoomers
>>153649648yeh I don't think that sport out of all that were in the meme Olympics would be a good example to pick. Skelton, luge, bobsleigh are all pretty lame, only one person steering the sled in the bobsleigh, the luge and skeleton is just the running with the tea tray and then it's just steering and maybe altering the position on the tray slightly. I would image a level of proficiency would be achieved by anyone given enough practice. Certainly not all the events are equal as per the summer version as well.
>>153648536>it'll take you 4 years just to be able to air out the topThat's by far the easiest part. Landing in alignment with the bank is another story.
I'm pretty sure I could be come a competent curler in 4 years. Not olympic level, but the same level as whatever the equivalent of a scratch golfer is.
>>153651753Curlers are just amateurs dedicated enough to apply to the national team, it's not as if there was a drastic selection process.
>>153647398Show your tits
>>153647927Just requires a small nudge
>>153647927this. very well said>>153648035lol
>>153648515underrated
>>153647398did you also watch the Kiwi heem himself because he landed too far inside of the slope
>>153649620Someone just needed to get her a sandwich.
>>153650734>Croat talking to the ANGLO about mountains
>>153648119>This anon is right in that freeski and snowboarding are still substantially underdevelopedBecause of the Olympic influence halfpipe has been the same for like ten years. It’s been the same format, the same pipes and you know what the guys are going to do.It’s just so stagnant. Guys know what they have to do to get third or a place. There’s no spontaneous creativity, which was the thing that action sports was built on.Ask Danny Kass. He hates the format where you have to just stick one run. If it was a jam format or a creative session, then he’d get the chance to express himself because he’s a creative freestyle rider – not a guy that spends his time on foam pits and trampolines for one golden run, like it’s gymnastics or something.
Only one Olympian matters
>>153654787now that free-skating is just about doing difficult jumps, any teenage boy is better than all women
>>153647398IF I DIE BEFORE I WAKEAT LEAST IN HEAVEN I CAN SKATE
>>153654717>the same pipesWell you can't change that, it will always be a goddamn stupid pipe. If you try to make it creative it's just the slope style...
table tennis is more respectable than 90% of winter sports
>>153654787>you cant take the village out of herKEK
>>153655837This, at best you can win 3 golds in TT, contrary to most winter sports. And I don't think it ever happened.
>>153655641>>153655641Different-sized pipes, snake-shaped, parallel pipes where you could jump from one to the other.
