Looks like a great weekend ahead with the MX-5 Cup, the Truggs race and IndyCar. Not a big fan of road courses in NASCAR (especially not with SVG having an almost guaranteed win), but I guess I'm gonna watch it anyway.

I'dp wager not one of those guys is happy about how badly they are getting schooled on turn right and they are doing everything they can to beat him.
There might be some shitters in NASCAR, but it is the highest level of one of the most popular forms of racing in the world. The guys that make it there are typically extremely competitive. I just think they have been out classed so far. I also don't think they have been taking road courses very seriously. They have just had to be better than the other oval guys until SVG showed up. It would be extremely cool if he could inspire them up their road course skills. It's pretty clear he is upping his oval skills.

I didn't watch it live but I remember years ago on /o/ someone posting the final laps of one season and it was the most insane thing i've ever seen. Dudes were intent wrecking, getting out and having fistfights in the runoff, overtakes, undertakes, passes on grass, cut corners, 4 wheels drifts, just fucking pure kino.

i was in middleschool
we only had 3 channels on TV, NBC, CBS and PBS...ABC came in but it was super fuzzy (roof antenna)
then mini satellite dishes came out and all of a sudden we had like 200 channels
there was one called Speedvision which had all the motorsport feed from Europe
WRC, BTCC, F1, DTM, MotoGP...US shit like CART, some SCCA Rally...
BTCC was often on right after school...had no clue what the fuck car racing was
but it was instantly obvious how amazing this series was, watched almost every race
watched all the WRC and most F1 too
WRC was kino as fuck
F1 was boring as fuck
CART was cool
