I’ve been a fan of MMA for over 20 years, and there's no doubt that the UFC has never been in a worse place when it comes to the onscreen product. The new Paramount deal has turned the broadcast into soulless corporate slop, with a never ending stream of ads that seem to eat up half the show.And honestly, the fighters themselves are kind of shit. There are still a few up-and-comers who throw down and bring real excitement, but a lot of the top guys now str just good at playing the game and grinding out point wins. Many of them have dull personalities and equally dull fight styles—some barely speak English in interviews and go into fights looking to stall things out by holding their opponent down for five rounds. Don't even get me started on how Dana White bringing the orange buffoon Trump to events makes it feel like a MAGA rally. Now he's having an event at the White House. What a shit show.
