Uh what?
>>
Reminds me of the nips sounding so arrogant during covid and then they had no choice
>>
>>153818182
nobody wants it postponed tho.
we just want one of the hosts replaced. For everyone's sake.
>>
>>153818225
I tuned out of the '21 Tokyo olympics after hearing it get postponed. Or forgot it actually took place. What was the general opinion from both a viewer, attendee, and athlete perspective of the games?
>>
>>153818226
Yeah, who the fuck wants Mexico to host?
>>
>>153818226
>>153819106
>Expand the World Cup until it can only be hosted by entire continents working together
>Immediately award the World Cup to the worst continent
None of these controversies would matter if it was being joint-hosted by Rwanda-Congo-Central African Republic. Just remember that.
>>
>>153820080
>implying the local warlords and bandits could work together to host a tournament

Kek.
>>
>>153820156
>local warlords and bandits
That's not a nice thing to call the Democrats!
>>
The more omnipresent the internet gets in our lives, the more we're gonna see shit like this.
We literally held the olympics while hyping up the Iraq War right after invading Afghanistan. In 1994 we sent forces into Haiti and Bosnia. A lot more than airstrikes.
A lot of people just want the last bad war event they read about to be the Seventh Seal being broken and their political enemies to reveal their Antichrist status so that Jesus can come back!
>>
>>153820182
Seriously though, like a majority of that cursed continent is like that. To use such terms to describe a situation like that in 2026 is wild but it's all true. Just lots of small rival factions that fight each other and the goverment with the occasional bandit raid. Atrocities from all sides.

you vill watch ze footslop and you vill be happy

it needs to be a disaster. the gods will punish this awful format and the greed of fifa

It's too big UUUU.
>>
>>153818182
I shan't watch this shitshow.
>>
>>153818182
oh wow exactly what I've been saying all along

>global turmoil
lolwut
>>
>>153818182
They're saying its the biggest tournament of all time. I walked in and said wow how big is this thing and they said it was the bigliest they'd ever seen the likes of which. Its very unpostponable, pretty much.
>>
>>153818182
Well, why should it be postponed? The conflict is a local one and the hosts are unaffected
However, I sometimes wish we would move World Cup and Euros back a year so that we can have a comfy schedule like
>2024: Olympics
>2025: Euros
>2026: Confed
>2027: World Cup
With the Olympic tournament also finally being a real tournament again for the sake of its history. Maybe something like a 32 team straight knockout for the best in the world rankings or some shit

There’s been at least one blowback terrorist attack

This is the most obvious falseflag shit, they always have to wear some "Allah is great" merch or carry a quoran or something.
Give the same vibes as when the Russians did a razzia in Moscow against alleged Ukrainian spies and they showed a t-shirt with the swaztika on it, Mein Kampf in pristine edition, a nazi flag, and then the police officer in charge of planting the evidence was dumb enough to buy green and purple wigs (because they were supposed to be undercover spies with disguises) and several copies of the Sims 4 (because the dumbfuck 100% didn't understand he was supposed to place phone sim-cards and not video games).
>>
Just need one look at the ticket prices to understand why they won’t cancel it
>>
Americans are rather litigious. E.g.
>MLS settle suit in missed Lionel Messi game.
>The lead plaintiff, Ho Chun, filed the claim alleging that the league and club exploited the expectation that star Inter Miami CF players like Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba would participate in the MLS match to sell tickets.
>Head coach Gerardo Martino chose to rest the players due to calendar congestion.
>The court ordered the defendants to collectively pay a total $329,000 to settle the lawsuit and must revise their ticketing terms, adding language to state the following information: "Ticketholder hereby recognizes and acknowledges that team rosters and player lineups are subject to change at any time prior to, or during, the Event.
These fans sued their club and mls despite their team facing a weakened Miami. Imagine the amount of legal challenges if WC26 wouldn't go ahead. With the Iran boycott and most tickets having been sold for their games in LA, already might get a big lawsuit.

>>153829303
Huh. I'm a texasfag and had no idea this happened. Probably because the dude was a coon and thus it got no air play.
>>
>>153835695
there's a vast chasm between planting items and taking pictures versus somehow convincing some guy to go murder innocent people. i thought norway was cool why are you dickriding muslims like the swdes now
>>
>>153836595
>WHY ARENT YOU HAPPY WITH 6 DOLLAR GAS GOY!!!
>>
>>153836053
Yeah you can sue for literally anything here, obviously doesn't mean you'll win but it costs money to defend
>>
>>153836642
It's such a frivolous lawsuit. Plaintiffs should have been laughed at and forced to pay the legal fees of the defendants and the costs to access the courts. That's the norm over here. Magistrates cost taxpayers enough already and it has proven to cut down on frivolous lawsuits. I recall Trump advocating its introduction in the US to combat the "law firm industrial complex", referencing European countries. One of his more lucid proposals.
>>
>>153836883
A lot of the time companies just settle because it would cost more to drag shit out, people that sue many times for "getting hurt" get $50k thrown at them to fuck off
>>
>>153836595
Shiite Muslims don't do terrorism. They will fight you like an army (Hezbollah literally means "Army of God" and they have bazookas and tanks, but they have never once done le truck of peace meme in any Western country), and Hamas have obviously done some shady shit against Israel, but every terrorist in the West who got recruited into a terrorist group has only ever been affiliated with ISIS or al-Qaeda. And al-Qaeda were famously funded by Saudi Arabia, but we can't attack them because they let our corporations take their oil. I'm not saying this guy definitely didn't shout "I LOVE HEZBOLLAH" while he was shooting people, but he won't have had any actual connection to them. It would be like saying Jodie Foster shot John Lennon.
