Gazoo is on a different level right now with regards to racing development.Rally1-2027 is in itself faster than Rally2 but it will be ballasted in the first few years to produce Rally2 equal times, so basically Rally1 and Rally2 will be both fighting for wins and championships.That means factory teams for:Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, Lancia, Skoda (Toksport is basically factory team in disguise), and that Skoda-Porsche based Project One.And a shitload of privateers as we even saw a Citroen C3 win on monte for example even this year in Rally2 so it's still competitive, and even the VW Polo Rally2 has an eligible homologation (also finally VW is getting back to ICE based racing so they may produce a new one)Lynk&Co is confirmed by their own social to be working on a rally project, and recently this week BYD also announced they are looking into it

Very glad to see Taka get his first win, everything about it is heartwarming. I suppose one big upside to the WRC's lack of popularity at the moment is that it feels more genuine as a result.
