I can only hope Lego head is gone within the next 2 years when max comes to fruition otherwise his growth will be affected. Max could possibly be generational talent under the right direction.
Under this anti football niqqa at 18/19 ? No chance. He’s dead.
Although from his own point of view possibly spending a couple of years In La Liga would be pretty good. It’s will be his call. Because he’s that good.
>>
>>153888915
Nwaneri is already finished at 18 under Arteta. Max should get out while he still can before he is coached out of his talent like Martinelli/Saka. I can already see him in the Real Madrid shirt.

Max Dowman, the secret weapon up arr arsenal in a team of tired legs
>>153887937
Also millimetres had that Everton shot not hit the post, stuff like that and Rayas desperate saves against Brighton (H) and Chelsea, that martinelli goal vs city, refs actually being biased for us has me thinking that God's our side this season. Should beat leverkusen at home, they couldn't beat 9 man bayern
>>
>>153888322
Probably just a familiarity with Simon for the Spain manager
>>
>>153888967
Martinelli will end up elite when he leaves us. That’s a fact. Hes a cf all day and I guarantee he will end up at a ucl big club eventually. Hes made for La liga.
Not sure on nwaneri. But martinellis agent is his old man iirc.
I don’t want us to sell him but I think it will happen
>>
>>153888984
Nwaneri had a good attitude, had many offers to leave permanently but signed a new contract. Was willing to stay as a squad player to learn from the team during a title run instead of being loaned out too. Whatever happened, he was perma benched and sent to Marseille, where is will be surrounded by the worst French primadonnas and criminals with low talent and high expectations. When he comes back then his attitude might have changed since his loan is a clear flop and he will probably be another Gnabry. Max Dowman has to avoid this at all cost.

That is what I'm worrying about as well. I would prefer if they went through the next phase rather than losing.

The defence won the title this year. From Rice tracking back with gazelle like runs from the half way line making clean tackles on the edge of the box. Saliba and Gabriel being unbelievable stopping counters with pace, winning aerial challenges, making crucial tackles. The fullbacks tracking back and preventing cross. Even the forwards and wings have tracked back consistently and played a role, at the expense of counter opportunities albeit. Exception from Calafiori on saturday.

That's apparently a foul if Gyokeres against Brighton and Martinelli or Eze against Everton were anything go by. Someone runs into them, they fall down, and they get the foul.

>>153894979
It does look like Raya probably would have blocked it but that is ridiculous from Calafiori. He just knew exactly where to throw his legs in that position.
That ither save from a corner by Raya's foot was also incredibly good.
>>
>>153895177
Thoughts? I think there's a loss in there for at least one of the two sides but I don't know which fixture. I am erring on the side of arsenal for the city game, can't see them winning that. Pep looks absolutely fucked, demoralised and frustrated. He already said a draw with the hammers would be it. Add to that the morale after the everton win for arsenal, that was colossal. It's looking really, really good for arsenal right now. Dowman's performance basically added a mid season transfer with that performance. He can be thrown in to make a difference and that cannot be understated. That everton game was the best case scenario in every sense. Great team performance, Dowman breakthrough, Gyokeres morale boosting goal, Calafiori having a moment of magic. Everyone was good and everton played well. That scoreline is very fair for the game, maybe everton deserved on but they didn't score at the end of the day.
>>
>>153895192
I've come to terms with that honestly and just accept it. There is clear bias against arsenal because that's a repeated pattern over the season. Then contrast it with tottenham and their very soft decisions and refball. Yesterday was shocking. Should have been multiple corners to liverpool.

I don't know man. Sp*ds arguably should have had a penalty and Van Dijk sent off and they've conceded a couple of goals at least after being pushed harder than Gabi XL was pushed by Muani or whoever it was in >our game against them.
That's what I'm trying to come to terms with. That the refereeing is just unfathomably stupid and inconsistent for pretty much most clubs. Except arguably City.
>>
>>153895198
Hypothetically if City beat us at the Etihad and win their game in hand, they would only be 3 points behind us. So the current 9 point gap is not as big as it seems on paper regardless of how suicidal Pep sounds in his press conferences. Having said that, even if we're not at our best, I don't see City closing the gap because they just don't look good enough (or rather, other teams are actually causing them problems instead of rolling over for them like they would have done a few seasons ago).
>>

>>153895276
They see the weakness. The wolves game reminds me of their performances recently, teams look fearless against them. They are not clinical up front at all. Haaland looks like shit. Pep is down in the dumps, the team is performing poorly, they got smashed by real madrid, they've got a mountain to climb to win the league. It looks very bad for them at the moment.

On the flip side Arteta is showing a lack of composure as you'd expect. He's a noob and this is almost unchartered territory being so close now. Now it is very real. He's been spazzing out on the sidelines recently but it keeps going his way thankfully. I think it's an 80% chance of a win or draw at the etihad. A win or draw there seals the title. Hopefully they go out like they've done recently looking for a goal instead of just parking the bus on city. City need that win more than arsenal though so undoubtebly there will be weakness in them at the back. Once again, Arteta will be able to see how they're likely to play because they've got the second leg against madrid where they've got to go hell to leather to win AND then the EFL cup final. SO really it's all in Arteta's hands right now and I think he'll do it.

I agree the lead is not actually that significant. Brighton was always going to be a tough game, and they did the job in a really impressive manner. It wasn't pretty but it was very impressive. Then Everton had similar feel to it. They are a good side and there were a lot of threats. But once again, magic moments bring the crucial goals. I was concerned about longevity in regards to the 'magic moments' but it happens consistently and that's no fluke. They seem to grind the opponents down, they've got 90 minutes of focus and intensity and most other sides don't. I think that's where they're winning. Just relentless squad wide consistency, intensity, determination and focus.
>>
>>153895313
Crazy that could still win it. City definitely are not winning every game. But even scraping a draw and having a few bumps still brings home the title. What a season.

Feels like 5 assists in one season is damning him with faint praise. Even Eddie had more EPL G&As in 23/24 that Odegaard has managed so far this season. And it's not even the stats, so much as the mentality that feels cowardly this season, how he goes hiding in matches.

If we ignore literally every piece of context, sure. If we acknowledge that he's been injured on and off throughout the whole season? If we remember that he played a match, got injured, came back to play a match, got injured in that same match, came back to play a match, got injured yet again? All through some freak contact injury and not some muscle related or previous injury related issue?
>mentality that feels cowardly this season
My brother in Christ. That goes for fucking literally every single fucking player in the entire fucking squad minus a fucking 16 year old child and maybe Gyokeres. Every single other attacking player has looked fucking wank. They've looked fragile. They've looked unsure. They've looked lost. Gyokeres does as well but the one thing he's got going for him is that he doesn't whinge. He sees the million passes that could go to him go backwards and gets annoyed for 1.25 seconds and then he's straight back to it. Mind you, I'm not an Ødegaard glazer at all. I think he's alright to maybe pretty good. And I certainly think this isn't his best season. But this isn't fucking anyone's best season except the defensive players'.
>>
>>153895047
The defense has been absolutely ELITE. All this moaning about the haram-ball, no one recognizing that our backline makes literally every attacker in the world look 100% BITCH-MADE.
