Why are english player so jealous
The english are butthurt about neymar because he chose to never play in the epl
That doesnt happens in any other country the best player of brazil, spain, germany and now netherlands with xavi simmons have neymar as their idol
>>
he was never a top, top player though was he
>>
>>153930099
Neymar jr is the all time most underrated player
>>
>>153930099
He is the only player that could come close to Messi in the last decade.
He was just lazy. So I guess it depends on what you consider top
>>
I rate Kaka higher than Neymar. But Brazil haven't had a best-in-the-world tier player since the days of Ronaldinho and Ronaldo.
>>
Absolute nonsense. Neymar is the closest a player got to Messi/Cristiano level in the past 15 years. Just because his career fizzled out doesn't mean his prime wasn't amazing, we don't apply the same standards for Ronaldo or Ronaldinho who were both finished by 30
>>
>>153930036
He would have been massively exposed in the PL and you know it yourself.
Let's compare an average English player like Harry Kane with Nerman.

>Kane
>Carries a dogshit team who are now on the brink of relegation since he left showing how much carrying he did

>Nerman
>Brazil poster boy which means he can immediately join any club because Brazil had a good NT 30-40 years ago

>Kane
>462 appearances
>319 goals
>0.69 goals per game

>Nerman
>364 appearances (in laughable leagues like Brazil, France, and Saudi Arabia)
>215 goals
>0.59 goals per game

Things aren't looking good so far. I'm sure he had better individual seasons though because he was the most expensive transfer in football history.
Top 5 individual seasons. League only because I'm not interested in Nerman statpadding against APOEL

>Kane
>16/17 - 29 goals
>17/18 - 30 goals
>22/23 - 30 goals
>23/24 - 36 goals
>25/26 (ongoing) - 30 goals

>Nerman (keeping in mind this is in dogshit leagues like Brazil and France and Saudi, and for one of only two relevant teams in Spain being fed chances by prime Messi and prime Suarez)
>2010 - 17 goals
>2012 - 14 goals
>14/15 - 22 goals
>15/16 - 24 goals
>18/19 - 15 goals

Wow. What a fucking rockstar. No wonder he was the new Pele etc.

>>153930158
Yeah that's what it was, just laziness. I should start a thread about how I created a space agency in my garden shed that would have seen us travel at warp speed, but I couldn't be bothered to finish it. It was easily the closest thing to NASA from the last decade though, trust me bro.
Fucking moron.
>>
>>153930451
>Yeah that's what it was, just laziness. I should start a thread about how I created a space agency in my garden shed that would have seen us travel at warp speed, but I couldn't be bothered to finish it
except we've seen Neymar playing at the highest levels and then becoming a lazy bum. We've only seen you fellating the meme that is the EPL
>>
>>153930451
The EPL’s second-highest scorer at the moment is a Brazilian called Igor Thiago, who wouldn’t play for any of Brazil’s top clubs.
There have been loads of shit Brazilian players in the Premier League. Like Firmino and Richarlison.
>>
neymar and gareth bale are the most overrated players of the 21st century

neymar has the talent but basically retired at 25 when he went to psg and spent 50% of every season 'injured' and bale is a moments merchant who gets credited for 5 CLs when he only started in 2 and played 6 total minutes in real madrid's entire campaign in 2022

I was hoping that lamine being the clear top player and getting praise and also a clear suboptimal version of Nerms would open more eyes but they still angry with him. If only greed bag messi had stepped aside in 2016. If only Ney had put down the cards and controller and sleep. If only brasil served universal school lunch with beef and fortified milk. Oh well, I enjoyed it

Kane is a poor player, lacking in skill and technique, who just happens to be able to put the ball in the net.
There have been 500 like him in the history of football.
In France alone, there have been about ten like him in recent years – players like Benzema, Giroud, Giganac...

Neymar wouldn’t be able to play in the EPL, but Igor Thiago is currently the second-highest scorer.
Igor Thiago played in the Brazilian Championship’s Serie B, scoring 10 goals in 64 matches.
Yes, during the period when Cruzeiro FAILED to get promoted.
But Neymar would be exposed, the great Igor Thiago, who has scored 10 goals in 64 matches in the second tier of Brazilian football for a team far better than the average Serie B side can play the EPL and be the second highest scorers in 25-26.

>>153931197
Yes, there are about 50 players like him around today. They run like a tractor in slow motion and then take a shot at goal.
The problem is that this type of player is weak in big games; he doesn’t make an impact, he disappears on the pitch. When he comes up against a quality defence, he can’t break through the line; he just stands there as if we were a -1 in field.

I hate Neymar, but he’s undeniably a player who’ll go down in football history.
And the vast majority of Brazilians hate Neymar precisely because he was one of the best ever and threw it all away.
Kane is a dedicated but poor player who’s good at scoring goals. Every day, 50 Kanes are born and die.
Just another one among many in history.
In Brazil, a player like Kane is called a ‘bad player who scores goals’.
The same goes for Firmino, Richarlison and so on.
A player who takes a penalty with the outside of his foot at a decisive moment in the World Cup has to be thrown into the dustbin of history. No player of even the slightest quality would take a penalty like that, not even in training.
>>
>>153931304
brazil hasn't produced a striker as good as kane in the past 25 years so your dismissal of his level makes little sense
>>
>>153931334
There must be about 10 of them in Argentina right now. We call them ‘Argentine-style 9s’ here.
I’d rather have Flaco López in my team than Kane, and I’m not being ironic. Even so, Flaco López is a substitute for Argentina, and they know that this type of player is a reliable goal-scorer – that’s why they’re champions.
Palermo must have played ten times better football than Kane.

It's a cultural difference is all. In western Europe we have concepts like honour and decency. It's better to lose the right way than to win a cheater.
Thirdies obviously don't have these concepts because they don't have the resources that allow those attitudes to flourish. You're crabs in a bucket, the only thing that matters to you is winning, because losers don't eat.
Neymar is a diving, cheating, whiney little bitch. We don't respect that, not even if he did do some clever tricks and won some trophies.

The weird thing with South Americans is that they have no real rivalry. Brazil and Argentina are supposed to be at each other's throats and it's the biggest NT rivalry in the world...until one of them gets knocked out and they all support the remaining one.
Imagine Scotland supporting England when Scotland get knocked out/don't qualify (which is the usual state of play)? It wouldn't happen. Scotlanders only watch the World Cup to cheer on whoever England are playing against.
Even worse are the lesser South American nations who do it and worse again are the Central American countries who are like the ugly stepchild of world geography. They class themselves as North American because it's richer, but want to consider themselves South American because it's "street" and "rustic", but they want to consider themselves Central American so they can have their own identity. But North Americans don't want them because they bring their continental IQ scores down further and increase their continental crime rate further. South Americans don't know they exist because their only concern is where they're going to get a warm meal from. Still they beg.
It's a sorry state of affairs. Everything from below Mexico is like an experiment that that escaped from a lab, but has thankfully been contained.

alexis sanchez is better than nerman but people are not ready for this.
ney ney is largely a theatrics player, a show off, he thrives in leagues where there's no real "grit" in defense, in the EPl he would get bullied every time he has the ball. the refs won't be slightly interested in protecting him like they did in barcelona which played a major factor in how that barcelona team functioned.

>>
Considering how amazing Neymar could have been, he simply was a disappointment. Yes, he still was superior to the vast majority of even professional players, but all in all, he was a letdown. It’s fair to say that. Take away all of his pointless skill highlight reels that make him look great to kids on YouTube and TikTok … and watch his legacy shrink to that of a guy who never genuinely stood at the top. He could have. But he didn’t
I‘m also somewhat tired of seeing people praise Neymar for his career. Not that it happens super often, but hearing people claim he was/is underrated is beyond ridiculous. He was overrated as fuck - that doesn’t mean he sucked
Rooney saying that still is somewhat weird. Of course he has more authority than an average Joe, but there’s something about him of all people saying this …
>>
>>153938675

>>
>>153950511
Rooney has that british peasant phenotype similar to jd vance so he won't be taken seriously.
>>
>>153950479
What Kane has been doing at Bayern this season is really impressive. Especially at the beginning of the season, he was everywhere on the pitch, shined as a playmaker as well as a scorer. Some amazing deep passes. Made his annoying penalty statpadding much less terrible to bear
People saying he has absolutely no strengths beyond poaching are retarded or baiting
>>
Why are people acting like Neymar is a Pato or Adriano? Just because he didn't last 10 years at the top doesn't mean he didn't reach his potential. He was no.3 behind Messi and Ronaldo for a decent amount of time, some would say no.2 behind Messi for certain periods.
>>
If Neymar doesn't class as a "top, top player" then there's no top players currently playing today. Prime Ney mogs them all, he was just unfortunate to be peaking at the same time as the two greatest players of all time so he got overshadowed. Put 2015 Neymar in 2026 and he would be getting hailed as the new GOAT.
>>
>>153950885
>some would say

some being zoomers yeah. 2015 was only the third best player on his team behind messi and suarez and then went to psg where mbappe was better than him.

Neymar is/was flashy I won't disagree, but whenever it came down to it, it was never effective in big situations. Spamming stepovers like a literal retard is not what "top, top players" do.
>>
>>153951093
What did Kane win? KEK

Players like Kane are extremely dependent on their team and the opposing team; in big, competitive games where the defense is tight, he tends to disappear. Why?
Because he simply doesn’t play if he doesn’t get the ball or if the other team doesn’t make a mistake and leave space.
He doesn’t have the ability to break through defensive lines; he doesn’t have the ability to make brilliant passes; he’s simply a very efficient player at putting the ball in the net, which in itself makes him an average player with high efficiency.
Romário and Ronaldo were prime examples of number 9s because, in addition to both having tremendous efficiency in putting the ball in the net, they both had the ability to break through defensive lines and dismantle highly organized teams. In other words, they were great players who weren’t dependent on the team during the toughest moments—something Kane always will be.
A great No. 9 has to be his own bow; it’s no use being just the arrow.
>>
>>153952260
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4m68r8kWAc

Neymar has been decisive at various points in his career.
He’s 70% responsible for this game.
You could watch Kane play for 15 years, and you’d know he’d never do that because he simply doesn’t have the ability.
If Kane had been in Neymar’s place, this game would have ended 3-1 at best, because Kane would have been standing there in the box waiting for the ball to come to him with 50 guys on top of him.
