now and forever - Arteta OUT
>>
>>153976636
More like eternal faggot op
>>
>>153976636
lets look at the positives, that was pretty much the trophy we want least and i'd much rather us be exposed like that in that game rather than in the CL or PL.

We got a valuable wake up call without hurting our PL or CL campaigns and maybe hopefully Arteta can use this to work on some things and improve us in the long run.
>>
>>153976682
wishful thinking anon, it was the same turgid shit performance, aided of course by some proper comedy keeper moments, we have seen all season long. That’s the worst City side maybe ever since Poop took over and >we couldn’t capitalize on it in a season defining game. Not to mention that everyone injured will be out for weeks if not months, now including Saliba.
>>
>>153976694
>weeks if not months
No, career ending injuries.
>>
>>153976682
I agree, the best positive is that >we won't try that shit again when it matters on the league

But the loss yesterday really was terrible. It would have given so much confidence for the rest of the season.
>>
Remember when Kwabvertz was out for months on end and retards thought him coming back would solve all our attacking problems? Good for him to comeback and remind those same people why everyone else wanted the useless shitter replaced. I see it now with the same mongs and Odegaard, somehow now being the reason why we're shit.
>>
>>153976746
>Remember when Kwabvertz was out for months on end and retards thought him coming back would solve all our attacking problems?
Never been a fan personally but not a hater as well. I agree with you , this fan base needs to stop acting like every attacking player >we have is prime Messi, Ronaldo etc

>I see it now with the same mongs and Odegaard, somehow now being the reason why we're shit.

I get what you mean but I believe you are missing the point.

Rice was dropping so deep yesterday and there was literally no connection between the attack and the midfield. It led to these terrible long balls all day long.

Ode (even tho he is crap this season ) does fill that role.
Gyok and Kai were just playing the same gameplay and no one was behind to glue the attack.

This isn't an Ode apology post. By all means , if >we can get a world class number 10 (which Ode and Eze aren't) it would be a miracle.

But don't let your personal feelings get in the way of what was the problem yesterday.

(Also, Arteta ruins number 10s in general, I would like to see Ode and Eze next season under a different manager)

>>153977011
I wouldn't call it a bottle unless we end the season below 80 points. We can finish with 91 but we will definitely drop 3 points against Man City. That just takes another loss to 85. We could have lost any of our two last games (Brighton & Everton) and no one would claim it was undeserved.

so Arsenal lost the literal Mickey Mouse cup to city? big fucking deal. Surely they will still win the league. Surely.

Right guys?
>>
When we bottled it in 22/23 we dropped 15 points in our last 16 games.

Man City has dropped 15 points in their last 14. Surely they won't find new form and get 85 points (which would mean they dropped only 6 points in their last 16).
>>
Gyokeres really is just a Championship level striker isn't he? Can't believe the scouting team got baited so hard by mickey mouse league stats
>>
I would just like to point out ramsdale isn’t conceding those 2 goals

>>153977584
>Surely they won't find new form and get 85 points (which would mean they dropped only 6 points in their last 16).
If anyone can do it, it'd be City. And they have just gotten a big healthy dose of confidence to go for it too. All the retards going "hurr le micky mouse cup" are just that. Retards. No wonder >we crash out of every fucking competition.
>>
>>153977637
>And they have just gotten a big healthy dose of confidence to go for it too.
I thought they got that from the big win at Anfield. They won their next 3 games followed by two draws.
>>
>>153977584
Another fun statistics, if Man City do end up on 85 points they would only have dropped 6 points in their final 16 games. That is better than their insane finish in 22/23 where they dropped 7 points in 16 games.

>>153977584

>>
>>153977678
His sprint is pretty fast but he accelerates slower than most. He could have had 3 1on1s yesterday but missed the first touch on one and the other two the pass was straight at a defender (instead of threading it through to Gyökeres) from Rice and Havertz
>>
>>153977699
That beating a struggling Livershit isn't really a big deal (and even then the fucking coward Arteta couldn't do it). And Sp*ds have been City's kryptonite so losing points against them isn't a big deal either.
Are you the same anon that kept saying there was no pressure on >us and it was all on City yesterday?

Why is the general sentiment (from Arsenal fans and rivals) that we've already won the league? The last time I checked, we're only 9 points clear having played a game more. Arteta the eternal runner up is more likely to end the season trophy less again.

No, that would be a silly argument.

And Liverpool hasn't been our kryptonite?
>>
>>153977715
Arsenal fans saying it are delusional (might still be right in the end)
Opposition fans saying it is just trying to build up for a bigger laugh when Man City wins it in the end or cope that we didn't become the first team ever to beat Pep's Man City in a title race (it would be the first time Man City lost a title race since 2012/13). If we had already won it it was no title race to begin with.
>>
>>153977773
>No, that would be a silly argument.
Thank goodness
>And Liverpool hasn't been our kryptonite?
No, I wouldn't say so. Other than the FA Cup game from 2? seasons ago and the loss this season, >we've managed to do fairly well against them recently. Plus, they're a good side so dropping points against them isn't unthinkable.
Dropping points against Sp*ds seem more unlikely, especially when you consider City's quality. They obviously don't drop points every single time but Sp*ds are definitely their bogey team imo.

To be fair capie had like one bad game in 10 or some shit. The other 9 he was the best player on the pitch arguabley. Semanyo is actually quality.
Gyok was a bad move for sure as he doesnt really fit in with the haramball. Unironically we look the best while playing merino up top as he can hold up play decent. Gyok would probably go to everton or some other half decent side and start banging.

I keep going back and forth in my mind.

Sometimes I look at how clueless and abysmal most of our forwards are and think Arteta must be a genius to have kept us in 1st place all season.

It is unbelievable how far an insanely talented forward can carry a team, like imagine if we had a single Salah or Bruno or KDB or Palmer (in his purple patch) tier player. We saw a glimpse of this with Dowman of course, coming on and in minutes achieving what none of our senior forwards could, now imagine having a player like that who plays every week, like Salah who solo carried a dreadful Liverpool and a clueless Slot to a title.

He's not perfect, he often makes mistakes, but I think I am Arteta IN, maybe I'm delusional, but I think he is better than we give him credit for.
>>
Arsenal wouldn't give Emery 6 months but have given Arteta 6 years.

I am still Arteta IN. Although I'm moving towards out. I expect us to play like this (shit) until the end of the season and hopefully win the league title and then Arteta will have to make sure we get the right additions to the squad (and some players out) to play more like we did two+ seasons ago. Which means horseshoe but with a clear plan to actually get to the horseshoe. Nowadays we end up in it if the opposition allows us to. Not because we aim for it.

And yes I am not as sad and upset about the horseshoe as some of you guys. It means control, rest with the ball and easy retaking of possession when it has been lost. Although I would want us to have more ways to break down the opponents from the horseshoe (we only had White-Ødegaard-Saka trio back then).

That’s a given, no one can justify another season of Arteta if there isn’t a big trophy well placed in the cabinet. Question is who do >we get in?
Zizou is waiting for the France job, everyone else is either long term bound somewhere else or a massive gamble. But would be very Arsenal like that whoever comes after Arteta wins the league at his first try.

lol
lmao even
Let's look at the negatives, that was a very poor performance under the least pressure and Arteta got exposed as the top fraud that he is. Stinky game plan and no fall back/plan B in case something goes awry. A disastrous wake up call to the grim reality of "not having what it takes" and the fact that the previous 3 seasons were no accidents. We already are at the end (hopefully) of a long run of improvements that, yes, did brought us quite high, but never to the top and never will. Both the manager and the players are out of their depth. The season already crumbled.
Only a matter of who are we going to embarrass ourselves against: all the remaining away games in the Prem? Soton, Port Vale or maybe another shitty final against Shitty? Another hearth break against Farcelona?
Can't even hope for a tit of entertainment there, with the horseshoe bullshit in full swing.
Arteta out!

Got troonchester in the final. Have 3 players saying they'll leave without winning the CL within 2 seasons. Tactical masterclass, team was well rotated in anticipation, players did the business. Troonchester will be hard because I haven't got much data to go off recently but I think we'll win it. On an unbeaten season in the prem with 3 games to go, won the EFL cup, FA cup will be against Bournemouth or something. On for the quad lads.

Is there any additional infomation on this? Because I don't recall seeing Rice or Saka play. I assume Noni took a hit so they've all been recalled and 'medical assessment' is merely an official reason. In my opinion it's foolish to let them go on international duty in a friendly. Their selection is very much implied due to their ability, particularly Noni and Rice's form. I believe they've all got a position in the squad and were there to be with the group to bond more than anything. At this point, if I was Arteta, no player leaves my sight. If they're spotted at a nightclub their first born is sacrificed. If they drive recklessly their partner is branded. Wrap them in bubble wrap and foam.

On a side note, I cannot wait for the world cup and I think Rice is going to flourish. He's such a great character but I hope he has enough of an edge to him. He's no Roy Keane but he needs to be a horrible nasty cunt this world cup. No mister nice guy. This world cup will get nasty at points and your talesman needs to be a gritty warrior. I haven't seen that from Rice so much.
>>
>>154035699
Rice and saka is likely just a handshake agreement between tuchel and arteta where they were brought to the national team to practice but not play.

Lance Armstrong was stripped of his titles. They should be stripped and closely audited for the next 20 years. The board initiated their cheating. The impact on the league is completely unknown. Imagine if they didn't cheat and different results, different winners emerged. This could have created brilliant stories for the league and teams. It would have made the premier league far more interesting than >city vs liverpool but not really. They are a scourge on football. Arabs are a scourge on the west.

He literally does not need anymore confidence. It's always been a service problem. Every single game he gets disappointed and gets back into the right mentality 0.5 seconds later. Confidence is the last of his problems and literally the last reason as to why he's not scoring as much as some people would like.

every (attacking) player needs confidence. and because of how media works he got bashed every week. including by arsenal 'fans'. couple that with a bunch of misses and meh performances settling in etc etc etc and the last game we played - yes, all of them could probably use a lift. so no it's not the last thing he needs. confidence and mentality are different things - you can still be in the right mindset and say go in duels or 50/50s or trying to press or track back so on so forth and you can still see a difference between a confident guy and someone whos not. as for service - he got one shot on target yesterday and tht was the goal. suppose youre still not convinced - which one is better - losing the micky mouse final AND crashing out of the WC or losing the micky mouse cup but becoming a national hero?
>>
>>154085805
Doesn't matter how confident you are if you are not technically gifted enough to play as a striker at a top level club.
>>
>>154085805
I'm not saying he doesn't need confidence. I'm saying he doesn't need any more confidence. He's not running low on it and hitting a slump.
>suppose youre still not convinced - which one is better - losing the micky mouse final AND crashing out of the WC or losing the micky mouse cup but becoming a national hero?
I have absolutely no clue what point you're trying to make. I want him to get chances. He's obviously not going to score every single chance he gets but we've seen enough of him to know that he's the best at it in the club. So he needs to get more fed to him.
>>
>>154086055
>I have absolutely no clue what point you're trying to make
we lost the mickymouse cup. losing a final is not a morale/confidence booster; usually the opposite. him scoring goals is good for him and therefore for us. thats it. i dont want to argue about service because weve done that itt for like the past 8 months

I get you now. The way he's always picked himself up after bad games or not scoring or losing other games, I wasn't really that worried about his confidence after that game, even if it was a final. I think every single other attacking player could have used a healthy dose of confidence though.
