Might be the worst career to talent ratio ever
>>
That will go to McDavid eventually.
>>
He has a championship so that puts him above a lot of guys. He prioritized bussy over rings but he does have one.
>>
>>153989512
if he snaps one he's on par with rodgers in sense of titles
also NFL MVPs are skewed to QB so idk how to even compare the two
>>

Him and Russ
>>
If you can't trust South African /pol/fags to make coherent decisions, who can you trust?
>>
>>153989473
Does this mean he had a very good career relative to his poor talent, or a very poor career relative to how good he was?
>>
>>153990363
the latter. he has been insanely effective as a QB. He throws TDs and does not throw INTS, and he does that better than any other QB in history. His 1.4% Interception rate is the lowest in NFL history. otoh, he has been sacked 600 times, which is also an NFL record.

You could compare him to Nolan Ryan. Ryan struck out batters and did not allow hits, and he did both of those things longer than any other pitcher in history. But there is more to pitching than that. He also walked more batters than anyone ever, and was a lazy fielder once the ball was in play.
Ryan's fans claim he is the best ever because of his strikeouts and not allowing hits, but there is more to pitching than that.
Aaron's fans claim he is the best ever because of his TDs and not throwing Ints, but there is more to football than that, and he was weak in other areas.

Marino? Randy Moss?
>>
Wilt
Kohli
Ballack

This. Dan Marino is the ringless Aaron Rodgers. You could also put Barry Sanders in this category with Randy Moss.
>>

Russ Wilson might be giving him a run for his money.
>start out hot
>win the Owl
>get exiled to Denver
>"let's ride" . . . to the bench
>then the JEST
>then pittsburg
>NY football giants in there somewhere too
Now nobody wants dangeRuss

Marino, yes. Moss and Sanders, no. Rings only define quarterbacks.
>>
>>153989473
nah there's a guy in F1 Rubens Barrichello who was insanely talented but had to be Schumacher's body guard and sacrifice his own accolades to help Schumacher win. The few times Schumacher had to retire early in the race Barrichello ended up on the podium

NGL, I gained a ton of respect for him after this. He fucking humiliated that dude like he was beating his stepson or something. Total domination

People hate acknowledging this but you're right. If the biggest critique you have against someone is they only won one title instead of multiples that kind of takes the piss out of any "worst ever" argument. Plus, he had multiple other deep playoff runs, it's not like he was getting eliminated in the wild card rounds or anything. Not as good as he might have been but Marino or Kelly or Fouts would trade their careers for his in a heartbeat.

Moss in ringless because he was unclutch. He went into the super bowl with an 18-0 team and the greatest qb of all time and had kind of an okay game when he needed to have a great one.

If he was what zoomers think he was then he catches that 70 yard heave from Brady and they finish the perfect season and him vs Rice is at least debatable. But instead he came up short, like he often did in pressure situations. He terrorized people when he had a mismatch but you couldn't count on him to be consistently productive against good defenses. He was a front-runner. If Brady had prime Jerry Rice instead they probably go undefeated for like three straight years

The Bret Favre of quarter backs. Tee bee rich.
>>
>>153990347
McDavid's been dominating the league with scoring titles and has been by far the best player in the past 30 years. Rodgers has at best been maybe a little better than his competition but nowhere near dominant.
>>
>>153989473
He's a good qb, had a fantastic career, put his name in history and became one of the greats, that's the dream of every little boy who dreams of becoming a professional player, leave him be you jerk.
