And so after being defused at the weekend by a lad whose hand is stuck on backwards, the Darting Dystopia returned at pretty much full power tonight as Luke Littler turned 4 different winners in the first 4 weeks into 3 nightly wins from the last 4 with a truly ridiculous nightly display throughout in a country he despises.Had Stephen Bunting been able to checkout in the first 4 legs of their quarter-final, he would not have been flattened by a 106 average from The Nuke (which included 2 ton plus finishes) despite averaging 107 himself in a rare good PL display. Gerwyn Price did well to hold his throw throughout most of his semi-final with Littler, including a remarkable 152 to go 4-3 up, but was then overwhelmed with an eventual 108.58 average from the World #1. And then the final: Luke only needed 42 darts to go 3-0 up, Michael van Gerwen levelled the match in 37 darts including a 124 on the bull, Littler held for 4-3 before he deliberately left the 170 off 222 and hit it to go one away. MVG broke back after Littler had tried to leave 170 again, missed tops on 96 to level and could only watch on in amused bewilderment as The Nuke detonated the max finish for a second time to win the night and go top of the table.It was a night average of around about 107 and finishing of 45% for Luke Littler and by God it showed. If he repeats this throughout the rest of the PL season, the rest might as well give up. And having conquered Germany in the PL, maybe he'll return to playing their Euro Tour events. I'm sure the rest of the PDC field will love that...Players Championships on Monday & Tuesday with the Manchester PL night next Thursday.
