The thing about bikes is more expensive ones don't make you better. Buy a cheaper one that's in good condition and upgrade parts as they wear out. Outriding people in lycra riding more expensive bikes never gets old. By the time you're buying a bike that's carbon everything, you'll know exactly what you want. Always upgrade the athlete before upgrading the bike.
