Kosovar Albanians are completely different ethnicity that waged a war of independence. Kosovo was the original Serbian region in middle ages, that's where Peć Patriarchate was, like proto-Serbain Orthodox Church. It got moved to Austrian lands once the Ottomans made it hard to sustain it in Town of Peć. Kosovo was a multi-ethnic region historically, it's just that countless Serbs moved away because Kosovo was underdeveloped. They lost the demographic war. There was also a Croatian village in Kosovo called Janjevo, but I think all the Janjevo Croats moved here by now. Hence she got her way and the region is Bosnia AND Herzegovina, so she gets to be part of that nation without technically being Bosnian herself.
