And so Jonny Clayton survives a remarkable five match darts over the evening to win his third night of the season and return to the top of the table. The Ferret was solid throughout, with a night average of around 97 and 50% on the checkouts, but wouldn't have even made the final had Luke Humphries not blown a 99 outshot attempt, with 84 on the bull sealing passage through to the semis. Josh Rock's doubling failed him as usual in the semi-final, before Michael van Gerwen went 5-2 up and then got Ferreted, with MVG missing 2 match darts each for 6-2 and 6-4 with Clayton countering with 18 dart breaks on each occasion (the latter once again an 84 on the bull) while a 14 darter made it 4-5 and then a superb 12 darter won him the night, and more than likely secured a spot at the O2 in May already.For MVG it was yet another rollercoaster night performance-wise, with his 101 in the final the best out of everyone tonight, but very erratic displays against both Gian van Veen and Stephen Bunting show he's still nowhere close to his best. Oh, and Luke Littler produced arguably his worst ever TV display since getting a Tour Card, but who honestly cares.
