It would work as a comedy, it would be terrible as an inspiration drama.
Would make a good Will Ferrell vehicle.
The details would probably need to be changed, but the concept is ripe for an okay family comedy.
I'd change him to a continuing education elderly retiree (ala Pierce in Community) who worked for some ridiculous series of tech companies that all had ridiculous names
