Just because mahomes had a slow year last year doesn't mean that we aren't winning north of 14 games and making another confereance run. Id be interested in seeing whether our other divisional opponents can keep up with the chiefs now that they aren't crippled by injuries and owl fatigue no more.
>>
I still can't understand why Shanahan/Lynch are so obsessed with drafting RBs when they don't play them and spam CMC to death even when there's a viable RB2, like they drafted another RB in the 4th round last year that played his first snaps in the fucking divisional round. Are they just going to waste a pick every year trying to luck into a CMC replacement?
>>
>>154412473
Lynch doesn't care, it's a Kyle Shanahan specific thing, he's obsessed with chasing after RBs. He's been doing it since before CMC.

They are a terribly run franchise if the trey lance trade didn't give it away. The only reason they win games is because they're offense is super easy to play and their o line is never below top 10.
This sustained success they're having wont last much longer as they are aging and cmc will become a crippled mess like kittle and most of their team currently is.

What fucking team are you watching? Like they're not unplayably bad like the Chorgers or Raiders were (despite what some fans would have you believe) but they're a very mediocre unit and held up by a 40 year old. Purdy also being fairly good at avoiding sacks makes them look more competent than they are as well

I'd like to stop with the narrative this won them the Super Bowl.
They had to put up 3 more points than the Rams in a hard fought slugfight, and previously the Chiefs lost a gunslinging duel between Goff/Mahomes that some dumbasses who watched football for the first time that year to follow Mahomes called "The greatest offensive match ever" and there was no indication KC was ever going to win that Super Bowl making the ring about Dee Ford even more silly

Right now, that stat line doesn’t mean he’s a bust—it usually means he just hasn’t played.
Anthony Mendoza is a rookie quarterback who hasn’t seen regular-season action yet for the Las Vegas Raiders. When a player shows 0 touchdowns and 0 yards, it almost always means they haven’t taken meaningful snaps in a game, not that they’ve failed.
A few reasons for that:
He’s likely buried on the depth chart behind veteran QBs
Coaches may be developing him before putting him in games
He might only be active for practice or emergency situations
Calling him a “bust” at this stage would be way too early. Quarterbacks especially can sit for a year or more before getting a real shot. If he’s still not seeing the field after multiple seasons or struggles badly once he does play, then that conversation starts to make more sense.
If you want, I can break down his college performance and what kind of prospect he was—that gives a much better idea of his long-term outlook.

Also Tom obviously won if Giselle wanted him to disappear from the public football eye altogether like Aaron Rodgers husband does for him. Bradys best career decision was getting 10% of the raiders from Mark Davis. Anyone who shit talks Mark can't see that man loves the sport of football and I'm fan of one of their divisional rivals. Gave 10% of the organization to a football first man. Wouldn't put it past him to just leave the raiders to tom Brady in his will due to the whole no kids thing.

They run the ball a lot, usually trade them or let them go as fa. They usually get 700-900 total yards out of them and pick up 5 or 6ths from comps or trades. It takes rbs time to learn his system, c Mac won’t stay healthy, they use them on special teams non stop, and Guerendo might be a kr/pr/st guy he can return very well. It’s a guaranteed pick basically.
The system needs 2 rbs to run properly and with injuries you need 3 good rbs.
It was ridiculous no one even had him on the board considering Indianas offense ran through him and he’s 5’9 220 running a 4.4 with giant quads

Also tye Simpson met with Mcvay for an entire day pre draft being scouted but the media ignored the report and went full moron in the last 3 days. The meet was “secret” but anyone watching non mainstream crap paid attention.
>>
>>154414968
There’s no reason to trade him. Lemon is a slot and will take time to learn the system. His contract would have to be eaten by the new team. Patriots, Seattle, rams could do it
>>

He was told not to and the meeting was reported before the draft on non major news networks as a rumor.
It was a good pick. Ty is a late bloomer. He will end up weighing around 230 and 6’2 6’3. His father grew an inch and half after 22.
>>
>>154415165
>It was a good pick.
Stop coping
>>
>>154415165
why did it have to stay a secret even after the draft? was mcvay also acting post draft? I thought he wanted plausible deniability to maintain his relationship with stafford
>>
>>154415165
Ty Simpson is 6'1 and 1/8th officially and he's 23 years old he's not growing any taller shit for brains. The Rams drafted Andy Dalton 2.0 at pick 13 and everyone is rightfully laughing at them for it
>>
>>154415209
>Andy Dalton
Too high a compliment
>>
Even if we're generous and say that Simpson is a serviceable QB, it still doesn't explain why the Rams picked a QB instead of an immediate impact player.
I said it before and I'll say it again, not every team is actually trying to win a Super Bowl. The Simpson pick is an attempt to avoid bottoming out in the post-Stafford world, it is not an attempt to maximize LA's odds of winning the Super Bowl. And what if Stafford doesn't want to retire? Whether he wins a ring in 2026 or not, he might decided that he's having too much fun to quit. If he has another amazing year, the Rams aren't letting a top 5 QB walk. So LA is also at the risk of not even getting the benefit of a cheap good rookie QB . And again, that's assuming that Ty is any good. Given that McVay said Ty would be competing with the BACKUP, it means McVay doesn't even have faith in anointing their first round pick as QB2
>>
>>154415222
Just my comp for him personally has been since mid last year. He's didn't start nearly as many games as Dalton did in college but that's who i saw a lot of when i watched him. They have a very similar physical profile in terms of height/weight/hand size and neither are very athletic just okay in that department. Dalton could process well and at his best almost convince you he was a top 10 guy but his physical limitations would always bring him back to the pack. I'd be very surprised if Ty Simpson has a career much better than Dalton did
>>
>>154415209
No, they drafted Kirk Cousins.
>>
>>154415229
Yeah but the thing about that is, it's far more likely that Stafford does retire after this season.
>>
>>154415229
>Why not draft an immediate impact player
Cause the plan was to trade down last year for the QB of the future this year. When the Rams "gave the Eagles their best game", everyone loved this idea cause Stafford had a bad back. Now they're in the exact same position, just as close as they were the year before. But they gotta go all in and abandon the plan? If you think Ty is a bust, that's fine. But all the hand wringing around the process makes no sense to me.
>>
>>154415306
You abandon the plan if your best choice for QB is a sad little gimp like Ty Simpson
>>
>>154415209
Your flag shit is stupid. I said after 22- meaning at 23 and up. His dad grew until he was 26. Most men will “grow” 1/4 to 1 inch due to odd factors but his father was rare and grew a little.
Best comparison I have is a young Brees. If he builds his shoulder up which he will he will be good.
>>
>>154415314

>>154415356
He’s got weird processing power and memory. His father was a coach who raised him to play qb. Only injury will stop him. The physical talent is there. Google him at the combine. He’s a unit already. Easily will hit 230.
>>
>>154415292
Sure, but that doesn't change the fact that the Rams have the best QB in the league and a possible HoFer in the final years of his career and are choosing NOT to go all in to win a ring
>>154415306
>Cause the plan was to trade down last year for the QB of the future this year.
Oh yeah kek, that actually makes things worse. The Rams should've drafted a meaningful player in 2025 to help them win this year. IIRC, Nick Emmanwori was available. Instead, they traded their 2025 pick for a 2026 pick that they used on a QB that won't play until 2027 at the earliest.
Just a baffling series of decisions.

Nah, it had clearly reached the breaking point since he had already retired when he obviously didn't want to. He only did that because she kept harassing him about it but then he decided he wasn't going to let her make the decision for him and unretired. But the fact that he'd been compelled to quit and then changed his mind was a clear line in the sand moment because if she was insistent enough to make him quit going back on that was most likely to be the final straw.

Of course, she could have just waited the one more year but she wanted to pull rank on him right then and there. But taking a situation that would have turned out okay and making it into a dramatic confrontation is a thing women do. They can never just leave shit alone

mass migration is good for the economy. Think about it like this:
more migrants= cheaper labor
cheaper labor=lower cost of goods
lower cost of goods= more consumer spending
more consumer spending=more profits

Face it, no American citizen wants to work half of these jobs occupied by migrants. They’re doing the community a service.

Yeah Mendoza isn’t that good. Indian spent probably 100 million on that stacked roster. They relied on the rb. Played a buttercup schedule to stay healthy. Cleveland is self explanatory same with the jets

>>
>>154416886
What does his height really have to do with it, though? They say it's because he won't be able to throw over top of his linemen and the defenders, but they're the same size as the linemen and defenders he was throwing over in college. That is to say, all of the linemen currently in the NFL were, not all that long ago, playing in the NCAA.

If his arm strength is trash and he's not fast enough to compensate on the RPO, that's a valid criticism, but citing his height seems like cope.

You can’t knock coaches for having great QBs or no great coach counts. As I already said my preference all time is Walsh, I truly believe he’s the greatest of all time, but Belichick would have to be a close second

That would be an excellent pick. Dalton was a middle of the road guy you could build a team around. He won’t elevate them, but he won’t be a liability.

The rams replaced a #1 overall pick with a future HOF QB, then you’re saying they end up with a long term starter. And that’s supposed to be bad?

Andy Dalton never won a playoff game shit for brains. He had 5 winning seasons then when the defence and O line went from great to mid they had 4 straight losing seasons and the Bengals moved on. If you think that'd be a good thing for the Rams and an intelligent use of a 13th overall pick you're very much in the minority
>>
>>154417742
I'm glad the rams are massive fuck up retards that reach for a faggot tranny alabama qb with less than 20 starts. Bama sure is known for it's great qbs (only montana) I'm sure this faggot will work out for them and not be a massive waste of draft capital they couldve used to make their team better at one weaker position.
>>
>>154417758
>That’s planning ahead and it’s not a bad thing.
Not in the abstract, but when you have a possible HoF QB at the absolute end of his career, you need to go all in right then and there. Doing anything else undersells the value of winning a Super Bowl
>Or you end up as the Steelers post Big Ben. You don’t want that
Post Big Rape Steelers should've only lasted 2 or 3 years. Every year after that has been incompetence by the FO. Just look at all the second round and later QBs who are doing well now. Pittsburgh could've had any of them
>>
Simpson was a disastrous pick. New Trubisky written all over him
The Rams were only the team that was going to get swindled by that “no experience but he looked good in the 3 games he played!” gimmick again in the first round, it was nothing but a nepo pick. And they’re gonna feel it when they get bounced in the playoffs again and could have used a Makai Lemon or Reuben Bain

He got Jimmy G and Brock Purdy further than Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and a host of other QBs have gone. Give Shanahan a legitimately great QB and he'd have 5 rings. Give him Jared Goff and he'd have 2.
His biggest issue seems to be evaluating QB talent, that and big game playcall choking are what's held him back. If Shanahan didn't fuck up crucial play calls, something very basic, we'd be sitting here wondering why Mahomes only has 1 ring.
Obviously he's taken advantage of nepotism, but I don't think any other head coach in the league can take a third string, 7th round Mr. Irrelevant QB to the NFCCG. If the niners had made the Matt Stafford trade instead of the Rams then they probably would have won 3 bowls.
Shanahan is such a weird coach. I can't put him up there with the greats, but practically all the greats had generational quarterbacks, and he's a cunthair away from winning it all with Jimmy G and Purdy.

I legit think the Chiefs drafted Nussmeier just in case of the small 5% chance Mahomes comes back and gets injured again and either has to take an extended layoff (like years) or consider retirement. The pick doesn’t make sense otherwise. It’s Veach trying to play 4d chess and be prepared for anything. Coach Nussmeier up with QBwhisperer Andy Reid and at worst you might flip him for a higher pick than you drafted him with. Meanwhile you have a young QB with potential in case Mahomes KWABs for real.

You don’t expect more than Oladokun’s level for QB3 and you don’t spend a real draft pick on a QB3. That’s not a worthless pick, you guys got Pacheco with that pick. They went from having a backup QB that could manage them to a playoff victory in the span of 2 quarters to whatever the fuck Gardner Minshew was doing on the field last year and the Chiefs don't want that again. Justin Fields is a high profile backup that might end up elsewhere next year while the nussgod has no qualms about being a backup for years

>he's gonna be considered a playoff choker, leave my niners, then get a generational talent for another team and win multiple rings
Absolute pain if this happens. This is why I don't want to get rid of Shanahan. Not that he's blameless by any means, but I'm damn near certain he can win a bowl. I only say "damn near" because two choked superbowls have me too gun shy to say outright certain. Those two losses weren't just "damn, QB wasn't good enough". Obviously a better QB would compensate for questionable play calling, but those two bowls were more than winnable with what they had that day right then and there. "Run the ball up the middle and get nothing" a handful of times may be the difference between Andy Reid and Shanahan being flip flopped in who's the better coach.

Possible. Ward is not irredeemably bad, and Saleh knows what he's doing on defense. Their ceiling is in the hunt for the wild card in the waning weeks of the year for this year though. And even that's a stretch.

The Jets could have had picks 1-32 and they'd still be dogshit. If they are 5+ wins it'd be nothing short of a miracle.

Teams are still a business at the end of the day. Being pretty good long term is a better business strategy than being great then being bad. Not saying I agree with that in terms of what to do, but you have to view it that way. Also, lots of coaches have been fired after winning super bowls and then being mediocre. You last longer as a 10+ win coach year in year out.
>Post Big Rape Steelers should've only lasted 2 or 3 years
I definitely won’t defend their FO, but what is the correct move in your mind? They drafted the “best available” QB in Pickett. He got two years, showed he wasn’t the guy, and they moved on. Russ was a veteran with a successful career that they only had to pay league minimum. The move made sense on paper. Even ignoring cost, who was better and available in 2024? Similar in 2025, Rodgers was/is a band aid but he wasn’t the biggest issue with their offense last year. Who else should they have gone after? Darnold?

probably Eli Manning. I'll always maintain that 2006-2012 he was as good as anyone. His two playoff runs were insane as well. That 2011 Packers team were 15-1 and massive favorites yet he went in there and not only outplayed Aaron Rodgers he blew them the fuck out 37-20. Two Superbowls against arguably the greatest QB of all time. I'm so happy i got to see him play in person

That 2011 playoff run was legendary because the Giants beat both of the teams they lost narrowly to in the regular season (Packers and 49ers) and then they went on to beat the Patriots again. It's pretty ironic that a regular season that had the cumulative best QB play that Ive ever seen ended with a dominant pass rush hoisting the Lombardi.

Oh, yeah ok. I was going to say that the art in the second one is much better. I don't hate AI images, but they're so ubiquitous that they give off a low quality vibe. I'm definitely going to play the midnight shifts with femboy with I get a chance
Anyway, go Packers
