Is she still famous in your shithole? No new tennis players or athletes that have won anything the last 6 years? I just saw snooker has been taken over by the Chinese now, is Sir Luke Littler at least still winning?

>Britain's Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the Italian Open because of the post-viral illness that has kept her off the WTA Tour for two months.
>The British number one had been practising in Rome since Saturday and spoke to the media just 30 minutes before formally pulling out.
>According to the WTA rulebook, players have to fulfil media duties on site even if they withdraw - and can be fined if they fail to do so.
>There was, however, no clear indication Raducanu was about to abandon her comeback, although she did say she wants to return when "100% ready".
>"I feel really good right now in terms of where I am headed," Raducanu told BBC Sport before her withdrawal was announced.
>"I think I have put a lot of good work in the last three weeks, but it's relatively early on in my return.
>"I had six weeks almost of doing nothing, just lazing about the house in my PJs, just trying to recover from the virus, and it takes a lot out of you physically.
>"I'm feeling in a better place - not 100% - and I feel like I have got a great purpose and a way about how I am approaching things right now."

Increasingly less so - she used to be at least famous for losing, but no-one can remember last time she fucking played nowadays.
I'm just puzzled what her gig is here - apparently, she gotta do at least one press conference per tournament, which she uses to announce she's offski, or she gets fined. But I don't know how the economics of this work otherwise, appearance money, has to be registered at a tournament (even if she doesn't lift a racket) for sponsor cash, etc.
Emma's basically retired and just 100% LARP'ing now. Not sure if I prefer this version - more honest allround and she loses less games.

Women want to be her
Men want to breed her

An empire toppled by its enemies can rise again. But one that crumbles from within, that's dead. Forever.
>>
90% of the headlines I see about this girl are stating she's no longer in a tournament
