Interview with Vingegaard:

If you were to do it, you would win the triple crown (Giro, Tour, Vuelta) before Tadej Pogacar: is that a motivation?
>"No. [...]"
If we say Italy, what comes to mind?
>"I have so many great memories. I love everything from food to culture, and I'd love to know more about your wines. The whites, especially. Italy has something special, an energy all its own... I think I came to a retreat as a teenager in the Lucca area and fell in love with it. It was my first training camp ever. I've never been on holiday in Italy, but I'm longing for it. I've already talked to my family about it."
And how is it going with our language?
>"Not well. And that's a shame, because it's a musical, harmonious language, and I intend to learn it. For now, I'm stuck with a few words, like 'eat' and 'love'."
Last year, your teammate Simon Yates won the Giro, but he announced his retirement in January. Have you heard from him since?
>"No [...]"
A few months ago, a fan got too close to you during training, causing a fall. Is your relationship with the fans better now?
>"I think so: after what happened, there's more respect. I think so: taking photos is fine, it's not a problem. Following a professional up close for so long while he's training isn't ideal. For me, for us, it's a job. I don't go to someone's office and sit next to them while they're doing something... It takes balance."

As a former 58kg grown man (now 63) at 181cm my diet consists of:
> breakfast: just coffee
> lunch: About 500g of whatever hot meal I made, usually 1:1:1 ratio (meat, veggies, potato/pasta/rice)
> snack (only when physically active): usually a banana smoothie or some shit
> diner: 100ish grams of bread (2 slices, i bake myself and its usually around 50g a slice) with gouda cheese + a salad on the side (leafy greens, tomatoes/cucumber/bell pepper, onion, olive oil, apple/pear, boiled eggs)
> Evening snack: hot carob powder milk and some yoghurt with berries, seeds/nuts

Do pull ups and eat burgers and broccoli for 3 months. How the fuck are you that small? 175cm 75kg is what I sit at almost all year. That is normal. Pack some muscle on, you're not a pro cyclist for fuck sake.

>>154549629
Again, do pull ups. Make that protein into muscle. 30 pull ups a day will pack on muscle fast. Add some kettlebell squats and you'll be 70kg by january. Jesus christ, your a man for fuck sake. Christian Bale got to 58kg by eating an apple a day for a movie role. Looked like a (alleged) holocaust survivor. Angers me that western men are so puny.
>>
Maybe cycling is an unhealthy sport for fans. When I was younger I was obsessed with cutting weight and being skinny. I refused to do push ups. Riders like Wout and Andre Greipel showed you can be elite and not a skinny ill low test faggot. Loved them both 90's and 00's were based. Riders weren't so skinny and gay. Now it's a low test faggot sport. Who's the most low test and has the least muscle mass?? Reflects in interviews. They're all boring and 'humble'. Hinault had a pair of bollocks that actually produced testosterone. Lance had a single bollock that produced more than anyone in the current roster. Anyone ITT below 65kg should be ashamed. Really struck a nerve this faggot bull shit.

Incorrect. The 5kg i gained is already all muscle. The male line of my family is all like this. Can eat fries and pizza all day every day and not gain weight. (did that for many years in my early twinties). I dont keep fat mass. Yet my cholesterol goes through the roof kek

>Did cow dung cause a major outbreak in the peloton? “Half the riders are sick, and De Lie isn't feeling his best either”

>Shit happens. Unfortunately, the riders had to take that literally after Sunday’s Famenne Ardenne Classic. After the race, many participants (including De Lie) suffered from stomach and intestinal issues. Cow dung on the road is suspected to be the cause. But that isn’t 100% certain yet.

>"Not normal, I've been disqualified again," before arguing his case and complaining that he feels unwelcome in road cycling.
>It's not Van Schip's first run-in with the authorities. The Dutchman has faced the wrath of commissaires and the UCI on multiple occasions, including when was removed from the Baloise Belgium Tour in 2021 for using unusual handlebars made by Dutch brand Speeco, and in 2023 when he was disqualified from Heistse Pijl after using a radical new handlebar set-up from Toot.
>More recently, he was removed from the Tour of Holland for an apparently unapproved forward-leaning seatpost.
>The exact reason for his latest disqualification appears to be the unauthorized way in which he holds his handlebars, supposedly breaking the forearms-on-handlebars rule.
Van Schip pointed out that he'd recently raced the UCI-classified Ronde van Overijssel with the same handlebar set-up, without any action from the authorities.
>"How can it be that I'm allowed to race the Ronde van Overijssel with this, while all the other riders [here at the Tour of Hellas - ed.] in the front group are allowed to just rest their arms on the handlebars, and not me?
>"Its very painful. It's really not fun. The bike is completely legal, the seatpost is fine, but they still found a way to screw us over. It hurts a lot," he said, before later adding: "I don't really feel welcome in cycling."
>He also invited the UCI to "have a good talk about it" so he can ask: "How do these rules work, what is actually allowed and what isn't?"
>Aptly summing up his mood, the video ended with the phrase "wat een kut sport," – "what a shitty sport."
