Europeans r very straightforward n simple in their thinking. >oh we need to score 2 goals so lets throw the kitchen sink at themThe way bayern started the game was very retarded n played right into psgs hands. They were too gung ho, had too many players pushed forward, tried too many 1v1. It created a chaotic and open environment, perfect for psg counter attacks.What they needed to realize is that physically they were not a match for psg. So they cant be going balls to the wall from kick off n expect it to last 90 (and possibly +30) mins. Also scoring 2 goals without conceding against this psg team is VERY difficult. Its much more realistic that they would score 1 goal then the game goes to extra time (n likely penalty).So what they should have done is play conservatively for the 1st 60mins. Slow the pace of the game way down. Frustrate psg. Attack mostly from set pieces. Dont try 1v1. Conserve energy. Just cross the ball n hope for corners. Then after 60mins if they havent scored, THEN it would be the time to turn it up and play with full energy for 30 mins to score 1 goal.Then it goes to extra time n penalties n germans dont lose penalties.In other words, go back n learn how the japs defeated them at the wc.Instead they went out all guns blazing n after 20 mins you could already feel that they were not gonna break this psg team down. Very bad tactical plan from bayern cost them the game.Thanks 4 reading my blog.
