Spanish Tottenham. Jewish Tottenham. German Tottenham. Italian Tottenham. Which Tottenham is the most Tottenham?
>*blocks your path*
>>154548747Tottenham is the most Tottenham, for sure. They're on a free fall.
>>154548747The one which didn't win a league title this century
>>154548792What kind of Tottenham is this?
>>154549475always been a solid club (besides a crisis in the mid 2000s). the past five seasons they finished 3, 3, 4, 4, 4. made it deep into the cup multiple times. never won any trophies in history
>>154548747We need to define what Tottenham is firstI'd say there are the following key features>general lack of titles>the opportunity to win titles, only to choke miserably>general grandeur of being a big club, primarily based on financial success, when most people will disagree when arguing from a historic point of view>redditor fanbase full of plastics polluting a fairly large original fanbaseAnything else?Dortmund are more of that than Atletico for example, Atletico look more serious than the others despite being very good at choking. Dortmund tick all the boxes except that they can be genuinely seen as a big club, although they are overhyped to death. Their anti-Bayern bandwagoners from the early 2010s are insufferable for sureI'm not sure how Roma and Dortmund compare, they seem to be quite the joke, but I think they don't even come close to the infamous "putting on the pressure", they are too far away from challenging for titles. I also think they have too few bandwagoners, but I may be wrongRoma versus Atletico in this regard is close, I think it boils down to personal preference. One is a bit too serious, the other is a bit too underwhelming. I think Roma takes it all in all, they have less to show for and that's more of a key featureSo among the international brigade, I think it's Dortmund > Roma > AtleticoBut there's only one original, though. And in the end, everyone is insufferable in their own way (though I cannot see much bad stuff on Roma, but maybe I am just misinformed)
>>154548747Surely Sevilla is Spanish Tottenham? and Schalke was Tottenham even before Tottenham was Tottenham
>>154548747Leverkusen is German Tottenham
>>154548747They all won something. Even Dirtmund has a CL. Invalid thread.
>>154549710Its not a fair comparison, because out of these tottenhams, dortmund has by far the widest budget gap between their rivals, which people always tend to forget, the gap between bayern and dortmund is greater than that between Dortmund and Heidenheim and four times larger than that between Dortmund and Leipzig and Leverkusen. They have choked away situations which they shouldnt be in, 2 cl finals and 2 bundesliga titles which were decided on the last match day, but they won domestic cups and their chokes saw them in situations that they theoretically never should've been in. Atletico has a very high wage budget and does 100m transfers, its not entirely fair to judge them by that metric because they operate in this shady agent network that allows them to make deals and pay wages they shouldnt be able to but they are still closer to real and barca than dortmund is to bayern.
>>154551537fuck i hate it when i accidentally repeat a phrase
>>154549852Gladbach has a better case for being German Tottenham. At least Leverkusen won a league title in our lifetimes
>>154548747arsenal
>>154558411arsenal is a tottenham in comparison to Man U and Liverpool
>>154548747Dortmund has no place on that image. They won far too much to ever be Tottenham of Germany. That was Leverkusen, but even then...they won the league recently, so for now they are not meme worthy
>>154548747>Not calling Roma TottihamShiggy diggy.
>>154548747I though Atleti and Dortmund were the spanish and german Arsenal
>>154548747At least atletico sometimes combo breaks the Madrid or Barca dominance, Valencia would be more appropriate but they're probably more like the Spanish Everton cause they've both won more than 5 top flight titles
