Gee I wonder how those 3 ref decisions in the first half happened when Mendes didn't get sent off, Bayern didn't get a penalty for the handball and Kane didn't get to score an open goal when the ref called it offside for no reason

YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, ANON! FRENCH FOOTBALL NEEDS PSG TO WIN OR MCDONALDS LIGUE 1 WILL COLLAPSE!!

Ligue 1 will collapse no matter what, it's ridden with debts
>>
>>154549365
This is what happens when one team controls the league. They literally get games postponed to suit them.
>>
>>154549453
You sound super mad, you're alright m8?

I'm saying this because you seething makes you say retarded, uninformed shit: the terrible state of the league has nothing to do with PSG and the whole postponing games before continental fixtures is a league wide thing, every team playing European competitions get to do it, not only PSG.
>>
>>154549511
Sorry that the facts upset you, Pierre.

But I'm the one who dropped actual facts about how the league works anon, all you have is some fantasy bullshit about PSG rigging everything.

What isn't in France
>>
>>154549365
They are? I heard French clubs have to pay quite a lot of taxes, but that can't be the full answer? What went wrong, and how serious is it really?
>>
>>154549633
Basically greed. Nothing to do with taxes.
The TV money was overvalued for a while and clubs started thinking the money will flow forever. Then when it was time to make a new deal, NO ONE was interested. Every time someone tried, DAZN, Amazon or the worst of all Mediapro, it ended up in flames.

Still to this day, Ligue 1 is such an irrelevant league no French TV channel wants to pay for it lmao. So the league had to create its own channel, sell subscriptions but no one wanted to pay so they had to basically give them away.

Then, since everyone got desperate, the league sold around 10% of its commercial/media subsidiary to some holding to get immediate cash, while cucking themselves into debt for decades.

There is NO money flowing in right now, the champion will literally get less TV revenue than the last club in the EPL. Basically 80% of the teams must sell for dozens of millions every summer or they're going down, even "big" names. Its going down for sure, we just don't know when.
>>
>>154549299
that's a european (racist) concept

Please stop crying.
>>
>>154549761
Ah, I heard about the TV deal failure. Made everyone here nervous as well, everyone was surprised when they got a deal as good as the one before. Still, all clubs agreed to be careful in this regard. I can't truly say how closely they are sticking to that, but I think they try at least.
But why is Ligue 1 so unpopular? I mean, it's not that terrible of a league. Your clubs produce a lot of talent and make good profit with them many times as well. At the very least, the biggest clubs should be doing fine with their large fanbases

So the country that produces the most talent in the world is forced to sell all their players every season? What a happy cohencidence.
>>
Do you think that the sheikh called the portuguese ref during half time to tell him to calm down because it was it getting too obvious?
>>
>>154549820
It's funny because people here make fun of Ligue 1 thinking it drives the Frenchanon crazy, but we actually find it hilarious as we literally are the biggest Ligue 1 haters.

It just some typical French self hate or something, we love to make fun of out shitty league that'll never be relevant.

But more seriously, football became mainstream here only after 98, at the same time all the good players were beginning to leave the league. So following them meant following foreign teams, and fans here became bandwagonners. I swear in the early 2000s you'd find more Arsenal fans in France than fans of most Ligue 1 team. And the media was all about following Henry, Zidane and shit instead of focusing on our own league.

> LFP: "Holy shit yeah let's do this!"
(4 months later)
> LFP: "So... you got the money? It's august and the league is starting. Where is the channel you promised? We literally put those 1.5b in our provisional budget already so we're spending like crazy"
> Mediapro: "Yeah... about that... actually that's not happening, well good luck!"

Fate of every league outside the prem. Super League was inevitable, now it will be just be Super Prem instead of Europe wide.
