>come through la masia in 00-02 playing alongside guys like messi and iniesta

>get your start at psg alongside guys like ronaldinho and okocha

>career culminates at wengers arsenal alongside guys like van persie, cazorla, alexis

>spend your post-career at peps city watching guys like kdb aguero etc all day

>go to arsenal, only sign 6'3 bricklayers and play terrorist hoofball

what did arteta mean by this? did he just ignore everything he saw in his career up to this point?

Bodied that freak
>>
>>154555833
he witnessed the pussification of football from the very beginning and decided to do something about it
>>
>>154555833
he played fast, aggressive football in 22/23 but after that league loss he pivoted to a safer, more controlled approach to limit injuries and result variance
>>
>>154555833
He took over a struggling Arsenal team that couldn't even qualify for the CL, and was getting humiliated by the likes of Liverpoo and Shitty year after year.
He realized that EPL is by far the toughest league in the world and competing across 4 different tournaments wears the players out.
He understood that Arsenal team are especially susceptible to long term injuries, with several key players missing simultaneously.
He accepted the fact that in order to build a team full of fresh super stars, you either have to play in a league where just 1 or 2 teams compete (Bundes and Leliga), or you should have a sugar daddy with unlimited money (P$G and Shitty).
He considered all those things and figured playing Haramball is the best way (maybe the only way) that can bring glory to Arsenal.

Whatever happened to that Alonso kid?
>>
>>154555833
you forgot that he also played under shite turgid scotch hoofball managers like McLeish and >Moyes
>>
>>154555904
The players that made the 22/23 fast aggressive football has all struggled with plenty of injuries. Nothing to do with pivoting, Arteta has just played the way he can with the players available. Which has been mostly conservative because lack of creative forward thinking players.
