Wardley is a one trick punch pony that the moment Dubois got up from those knock downs Wardley had nothing else for him. No plan B, nothing.

This is going to sound a little fucked up, but I think Davison could be looking at this a win. If Wardley won he'd have kept his belt. If Wardley lost he would would try to get a fight between Dubois and Itauma to try and finagle a belt for him that way. With how much everyone slobs on Itauma's knob, changing Franklin's ranking from 36 to 15 days before the fight so Itauma could beat a "top 15 fighter" for legitimacy to challenge the belt, its a possibility. Just hope we hear some good news from Wardley, an all clear from the hospital. They had to hold him up walking out of the ring because he couldn't maintain his own balance, that is really concerning. I really doubt they will go for the rematch, if Wardley fights again it won't be for at least a year.

Wardley definently does have more skill than wilder. He reverted to the naked righthand in the later rounds because he was just too fucked to be able to throw anything else. In round 1 & 3 he was outboxing dubois. Wardley is not a GOOD boxer but he isnt terrible like Wilder. He is limited but not that limited. Wardleys timing particularly is leagues above wilder and is much more slick in terms of movement and in the early rounds he even tries to set up his right hand. I think Wardley vs Wilder would actually be a great matchup after this loss (if wardley's nose hasnt been punched off). Wardley would win but it would be an entertaining fight

to be fair to morell he was dominating the whole fight until the 11th round. Chellie had absolutely zero answer to him until that moment. Then he buzzed Morell pretty hard and his legs were done after that. If morell were able to just be on his bike in that 12th and not engage he would have won by a wide margin.

Shouldn't Dubois face Kabayel or Itauma first before getting another shot with Usyk?
