I don't think INEOS care about trophies all that much. Obviously they're a bonus, but mostly they just want to ride on nostalgia waves and keep the MUFC brand's revenue flowing until the new stadium is built, and in the meantime they're happy with a milquetoast, moderately successful "head coach" who won't rock the ship.
