What could be done to make Americans care about sports other than football?
I think the biggest problem is there are just too many games. Every football game is exciting because the outcome dramatically changes the course of the season, but if you miss five baseball games and your team lost all of them it's not a big deal

This is something I have been wondering about myself. Why even bother with most of the regular seasons? Who cares about them? The actually important stuff is decided in the playoffs, and it seems weird to have qualifiers lasting >80 games. You cannot get relegated either, so you don't have to pay attention to anything
No offense. I'm afraid some smartass will ask "but why would I watch the 34 Bundesliga games if I know Bayern will win the title anyway?", but this is a different situation altogether

I can watch all my NFL team's games on free antenna TV, the only time the MLB, NBA, NHL teams show up on TV is if they made playoffs (and sometimes not even that because they are on ESPN or TBS).
