Plenty of them are bandwagoners and don't care that much at the end of the day. They may seethe online a bit, but I think fairly many of them would do it ritualized and for clout. Then they move on and consume something else, some of them also would not return because they'd arrive at the conclusion that they can get more validation elsewhere
There are of course also many genuine fans. These would probably be in real despair in its many possible forms. Understandably so tbqh. That is to be respected, though many of them would be seen as crybabies by fans of other clubs that are not title contenders
