Luke Littler is targeting a record-breaking fourth consecutive nightly win in the BetMGM Premier League on Thursday, as the penultimate night of league phase action takes place in Birmingham.

Night Fifteen of the darting roadshow will take place at the Utilita Arena as the race to qualify for Finals Night continues in the West Midlands.

The league’s top two will also go head-to-head, as Littler renews his rivalry with Welsh number one Jonny Clayton in the evening’s fourth quarter-final.

Littler has celebrated three consecutive nightly wins in Liverpool, Aberdeen and Leeds to create a five-point buffer over Clayton at the Premier League summit.

The World Champion has also equalled his record tally of six nightly wins – set in last year’s competition – and victory over Clayton will ensure he will top the standings for a third consecutive campaign.

Coverage starts at 7:00pm UK time on Sky Sports Action.

>Tonight's matches (7:00pm start, all games best of 11 legs, first to 6)

Gerwyn Price v Michael van Gerwen
Luke Humphries v Stephen Bunting
Jonny Clayton (Q) v Luke Littler (Q)

The biggest news this week saw the confirmation of the pairings for the World Cup next month: https://www.pdc.tv/news/2026/may/11/2026-betvictor-world-cup-of-darts-pairings-confirmed/

The most striking omission is that of Gerwyn Price, who for unspecified reasons has declined to represent Wales and has been replaced by Nick Kenny. Michael van Gerwen makes only his second appearance since 2021 partnering Gian van Veen, while Cameron Menzies debuts for Scotland alongside Gary Anderson. Mickey Mansell becomes the first player to play for two countries at the PDC World Cup with a debut for the Republic of Ireland. Mongolia and Trinidad & Tobago make their World Cup debuts.
>>
Two stories from the Players Championship double-header as well:

>Michael van Gerwen won a Players Championship event for the first time since October 2024 on Monday, recording a 122.34 average in a 7-0 obliteration of Martin Schindler in the semi-final and then defeating Dirk van Duijvenbode 8-5 in the final with a 106.57 average

>Andrew Gilding won a PDC ProTour event at the 442nd(!) time of asking on Tuesday, beating Jonny Clayton 8-3 in the final and ending a streak of seven ProTour events without victory
>>

Mansell is so good multiple countries want him.
>>

Grim. Hopefully we get some comedyjobbing by Toylo and based Kumar, and some hits from da Zong.

>Sowaris Rodman, Juma Said
Good names, though. Also pic related.

Didn't see that coming, hope he can keep it up.

Can both Chuddy and Humpries still qualify? Guess we’d need MVG to win this one.

God I hope so, and I hope Chuddy knocks him the fuck out. Can’t believe they’ve not met yet, want that littler heel turn big time.

Clayton is complacent as fuck and it's why he'll never win a ranking major again in my opinion.

Absolutely solid.

Chud made a mistake in the final leg as well, should have gone bull on 94 to leave at least a dart at bull for a decider where he would have the throw. Some really wayward arrows from him at times, he kept hitting T3.

And so after 15 weeks the reigning Premier League champion FINALLY wins a night, and did it in some style. Luke Humphries lost just 7 legs over the 4 matches, averaging 106 for the evening and a total checkout percentage of 40% to snatch the final play-off place after an indifferent campaign overall. But his standout performance came against the other Luke to gain revenge for last week's Leeds humiliation.

It looked like a straightforward Littler victory as Humphries blew the first three legs, missing a dart at double in each one with the Nuke even having the chance for an exhibition D18-D16 checkout of 74 to go 3-0 up. But this ignited Humphries who ran off the next three legs in 44 darts to level - including a vital 18 darter finished on D1 after the younger Luke missed four to lead 4-2 - and then won the next three in 37 darts to reach the final, averaging 111 in the process. This shows the game is still there with the elder Luke, it's just a matter of him applying it.

Tonight has rendered next week's last regular night rather pointless as the remaining three play-off contenders were all officially eliminated by Humphries' progress. Stephen Bunting was the first to be eliminated, with his 6-0 flattening by tonight's winner ending another poor campaign where he won just a single night and failed to reach another final before or after it. Gian van Veen followed after the semi-finals, with his bright start to his debut season killed by his kidney stone withdrawal in week 7 and crucially never reclaimed a spot in the top 4 after it. And that final victory meant Michael van Gerwen misses out on the play-offs in successive years for the first time ever, with an erratic campaign that featured just a single nightly win not deserving of a top 4 spot. In typical 2026 MVG style, he went from averaging 122 in a ranking event just 2 days ago to not even hitting 88 tonight.

Players Championships on Monday & Tuesday before the final regular night in Sheffield next Thursday.
