The 2026 Yankees have that same stink about them that the Yankees teams have had since 2010. They bully bad teams, they mash bad pitching, and that's it. They are drunks when it comes to running the bases. They are imbeciles when it comes to defense and knowing where the play is. Their default approach at the plate is to simply hit the ball as hard as they can on a 47.5 degree angle, always, regardless of the situation but especially when there is a man in scoring position. And they lack a measure of competitive fire that separates good teams from champions. The Yankees make wins look easy against bad teams and bad pitching but they are incapable of playing the kind of smart, tight baseball that leads to players making big plays in big moments of big games. Same shit for sixteen years now. They will bully their way to enough wins to get to the postseason and then get outplayed and eliminated in humiliating fashion. Same ol' Yankees.
