Holy based. This is definitely more soulful than that World Cup 1982 draw between Germany and Austria or whoever. I kneel.

Ok, which game?

for me it’s the 2010 grand final
absolutely kino last quarter with the goddard mark and the awkward bouncing behind exactly like the one in the 1966 grand final

>which game?
The one that ended in a tie.
Hint: look for both teams to have a record that ends in "-1" that year.

why would you punt on 1st downs?
>>
>>154738206
All of them. Two opponents so evenly matched that you can't even separate them. That's what's sports are all about. Ties.
>>
>>154750829
Weather and offenses were so sloppy it was more likely you'd recover a turnover on the punt for field position than string together several plays to score

Auburn tied Syracuse 16-16 in the 1988 Sugar Bowl
>Syracuse fans were outraged by Auburn's decision to tie the game, while Auburn fans found the choice uncontroversial. In protest of the decision by Auburn to tie the game, a Syracuse radio station mailed Auburn coach Dye 2,000 ugly ties, which Dye autographed and auctioned off, raising $30,000 ($85k in 2026 dollars) for the Auburn general scholarship fund.

Looking at the box score, neither team had been able to score a touchdown since the second quarter. Syracuse wanted Auburn to "go for it" because they were sure Auburn wouldn't get a touchdown. Syracuse kicked nothing but field goals in the second half. If they wanted to win, they should have gone for a touchdown one of those times instead of kicking it over and over again.
