Is Kroenke the greatest sports team owner of all time
>>
>>154756453
He might be
>>
>>154756453
what sport does this jew not have his hands in?
>>
>>154756492
He doesn't have a baseball team but that might change if they implement a salary cap
>>
>>154756574
He's smart not to buy the Rockies, but the Angels would be a good pickup for him, but Moreno has no intention of selling and thinks of himself as the Nonunion Mexican Walt Disney

>no Kiplingcotes Derby victory
lol
what a gimp
>>
>>154756453
Kroenke doesn't spend money on the Arsenal, the club spends money it earns. He's a "genius" who married the billionaire's daughter.
>>
>>154756453
Kroenkes is the richest private sport ownership group in the world by enterprise. So its no surprise they bring teams to promise land. You forgot to account they won a title as owners of the Colorado Rapids in the MLS.

I took a lot of backlash and criticisms for Josh and Stan to change the transfer committee policy. Its only when they abandoned that approach they started to build something and now they've won a title.

Most of the money is in the Emirates and SoFi as venues.
He runs the desired concert megavenues in two of the three largest cities in the English Speaking world. So basically any giant musician or weird convention that needs a 60-80K seat venue in London or Los Angeles is most inclined to speak with him.

If Arte Moreno died, every Angels fan will be celebrating like they got out of prison. Insane what that senile old man has done to our team. We went from a top team in all sports in the 00s to a laughing stock the past 15 years. Dodgers never took over our stadium until that bum went senile
>>

The Emirates isn't even the desired concert venue in its own neighborhood. Tottenham's stadium is state of the art. Emirates is already 20 years old believe it or not. Still a massive mistake to move away from Highbury as an Arsenal fan
>>
>>154758895
Jack Kent Cooke built the Great Western Forum in Inglewood home of the Lakers and Kings until 1999 and still in operation today. It was a state of the art arena and the precursor for all modern indoor venues. It was able to host both basketball, hockey and many other events including concerts and at the time the Indoor Soccer League's LA Lazers and Team Tennis's LA Strings

>move away
inst ti literally next door?
>>
>>154758022
You could argue that the move to the Emirates financially hamstrung Arsenal for a decade and caused them to develop a reputation that took another decade to finally shake off. At the time, matchday revenue was the main source of income for clubs so it made sense to move to a bigger stadium, but eventually broadcasting and commercial revenue would quickly become a lot more important. So with hindsight, they might have been better off delaying the stadium move. Spurs and Everton have both moved stadiums more recently, and it seems to have been much less restrictive financially.
>>
>>154758943
Only mistake was building a stadium in a shape that's impossible to modify. The expansion project is gonna cost the team more than the price of the whole stadium in 2006.
>>
He hasn't won at the cricky, so no.
>>
>>154759201
Basically yes. However, Highbury had a home field advantage that few Premiership sides still enjoy. The small pitch dimensions forced Arsenal to play a very fluid and attacking style which other teams weren't used to playing on much bigger fields. The fans were essentially on the field and you could feel their tenacity as a player on the pitch with such limited space to work with
