At a dinner with his players, Mikel Arteta secretly hired a team of pickpockets. At the end of the meal, Arteta stood up and asked his players to empty their pockets. A number of players were missing valuable items. It was to teach his squad the importance of being alert at all times.

In LA theres two teams the Dodgers that is owned by Boehly and Angels which are also mediocore they are probably the Fulham of baseball just boring but rich

>>
>>154767583
Beating Bayern felt so good. From the time the draw was announced I was looking forward to that game most it felt damn good to finally slay that beast.

Max Dowman is up there but we'd def won the game already. I think if you asked the players they'd probably pick that one. Eze's hattrick against spurs was class, the stuff of legend.

If I had to pick one moment it's the Martinelli equaliser against city. The mighty city bus parking and him coming on and getting that break and lobbing Donna the way he did it. After the Liverpool loss we knew we could not lose that shit, that goal meant so much.

>>154767658
Of course I'm willing to scratch all that for a Havertz headed 1-0 to the Arsenal WIN in the UCL final.

The one statistic that made me worry is that Raya, gabriel, saliba, rice and zubimendi all played at least 4000 minutes. Only haaland broke that mark for city. Arteta definitely needs to rotate heavy next season, especially everyone minus Raya and calafiori will be key members of their national team at the world cup.

Now that we are a big club winning major trophies, let’s talk about the upcoming transfer window. We need to ship out all the City/Chelsea castoffs/misfits and anyone approaching 30 and buy up all the “an exciting prospect” and “has potential to be special” from the Portuguese, Dutch, French, and Italian leagues. No Bundesliga. Also, we need to play fun football next season. We can keep the core of the team as is and behind every one of them should be a prospect that has a chance to be a top-3 player in the world.

Throw caution to the wind and play MLS. Gyokeres should start but sharteta seems to always play him in big games. Odeshaart might make a moment of magic who knows. In that respect he's no different to eze. Not reliable players but it's whoever can have that 1 in 10 games moment.

I'm watching the highlights of our semifinals against PSG last season, and honestly despite having some big absences in our starting XI (no Gabriel or Havertz in both matches, no Partey in the first leg), we still went toe-to-toe with them and created enough chances to win the game. Donnarumma made some incredible saves for them, and he's obviously no longer at PSG. If the players don't get overwhelmed by the occassion, we genuinely have a solid shot at winning the final.

yeah we really managed to overpower them especially in the second half of the second leg when we had to go for it. they are a very weak team physically, the complete opposite to us. arteta will never do it but we should just play long balls and kick the shit out of them in midfield waiting for the second bounce

The UCL final is going to be brilliant. PSG are extremely high pressing, dribble really well and create disorganisation. Arteta's terrorism is a very good counter to that. In fact thinking about it Bournemouth play a lot like PSG with good dribbles, really nice fluid passing link ups and really high press. If the team didn't play like utter shit that game it would have been an interesting match up. Might still have lost, but they played like utter shit all game, they weren't simply beaten by the better team.

If arsenal win, it'll be penalties or a disgusting dierct counter from havertz or eze. But I suspect PSG will play a few players deeper in anticipation. I can't wait. It's getting near. It'll be brilliant.

Just a quick reminder. If you support arsenal and you're happy about the title, you are obliged to support England in the world cup. A secondary nation is permitted but reduced to your second supported side, with England your priority. Rice, Saka, Eze starring. Rice being the main man, as he was for Arsenal.

I usually enter tournaments with England as my second team. But after a few games I get tired of the slow tempo, diving (I think England has done it the most in the past few tournies) and just playing bad but somehow winning just because they have the best players. That makes me wish they get knocked out. They usually play without passion or identity which makes it hard to support. Maybe Tuchel will change that.

Sweden as 1st team and 2nd is Norway for me. And then we will see who is most deserving of my support from the group games or when 1st and 2nd has been fallen out.

Liverpool's collapse is pretty remarkable. They went from a reasonably likable group of players who went on a long journey to end a massive title drought, to being a bunch of divas that throw their manager under the bus after one difficult season. He was playing much worse before the injury so maybe he was trying to play through an injury. Something I think Rice, Zubi, Saka and Odegaard (probably some other players as well) has done this season at different times. It could have made it worse.
>>
>>154778119
I'd switch ST and RW. Saka in form is excellent but out of form is horrendous. And the injuries are a real issue. Madueke always shows promise but doesn't really deliver. Ethan probably won't even be around next season. For strikers, there's Gyokeres, Kai, and Merino now.
>>
The sale of martinelli, ben white, jesus, norsgard and naweneri look fairly likely. If they go, that's got to be at least 100m. Apparently arsenal are likely to spend around 150 mil this window. That's a good winger and a decent midfielder. They said thy want to get a new striker too. I can't see 150m covering the incoming if they're looking for genuinely good players. Striker is at least 70 million if you want an established striker. Winger at least 80 million. Tonali has requested transfer so someone like his is again 70-80 mil. A RB will probably be something from 40-60 million, likely around 30-40 if they're going rotation option to replace ben shite. They have had enormous revenue this season, next year will be the same if not more because the merch is going to be flying out the store. I understand they're about to announce stadium expansion plans but spend what you get from sales + 100 or so million. That makes the squad better, more rotation options because shitters won't be in the squad anymore. It's not a liverpool style splash out because you're getting significant funds from sales.

If they get this transfer window right I can genuinely see arsenal doing the quint next year. Community shield IS a trophy, don't care.
>>
>>154778167
>Striker is at least 70 million if you want an established striker.

They also signed the best English CB and the most in-form winger in the league in January, and they ended up signing a CL-winning, world-class shot-stopper at the start of the season. Not to mention that they were on for a domestric treble. The notion that this was a weak City team is false, other teams in the league have simply improved to the point where they can punish the title contenders instead of just rolling over for them.

Lets talk about England squad lads since Friday Tuchel will announce his 26 man roster which of our boys will be boarding the plane to Kansas for the World Cup? Pick from the buffet:
White, Lewis-Skelly, Rice, Madueke, Saka, Eze (optional:Dowman).

Gabriel Maghalaes and Gabriel Martinelli have been selected already for Brazil. And William Saliba too for France.

Blanco definitely isn't going because he'll still be injured I think. Myles, Saka, Rice, and Eze are guaranteed I reckon. Madueke has the slightest chance, highly doubt Dowman will go cause iirc Tuchel mentioned being careful with him since he's so young still.
Pretty much everyone except Calafiori and Kepa will be gone I think. Timber depends on his recovery.

What was the game changing fixture for you? Newcastle away for me. Those 3 points were massive.

Villa 4-1
Thought we could do it before but after the loss up there 2-1 I was angry at but still didn't feel that was a real loss, just a fluky late late away goal. When we then smashed them up I thought yep, that's villa's run's done, we're the best team by far, sanity restored this league is ours to lose. Think the City Fulham 5-4 game was before then too and I could see City were nowhere near it and pep went for his panic buys. When we went points clear I thought for sure that's a big enough cushion to seal it even with a bad result at City.
