Anons, maybe this isn't the best place to ask, I know. But I want to learn about baseball, I've already watched various videos about its rules and some games. Could anyone tell me about great games and where to watch them for a total begginer to learn more about the sport? Maybe tell me some weird rules that can confuse me while watching it or share any begginer resource that could be of help?Thank you in advance.

>>156706170watch basically entire 2001 world series, game 6 of 2011 world series. should be on youtube. one weird rule you should know is if a ball is caught in foul territory, any runners on base can still advance as soon as its caught. so sometimes its actually better to let a foul ball drop if catching it on a diving play or something will allow the runner on 3rd to score.

>>156706170The rule that I see confuse newfags the most is that baserunners cannot advance on a flyball out unless they have returned to their base and “tagged up.” This prevents runners from just circling the bases on any high flyball that is caught for an out. Essentially they must wait at their base until the ball is caught, before advancing. (Please watch out sport!!)

Change up is thrown with a three finger or circle grip and is essentially a slower pitch meant to look like a fastball out of the hand. They tend to “break” down and slightly armside kinda like a splitter.

With two outs, they can't be doubled up (only three outs), so on the off chance the ball is dropped they should just try to run as far as they can.
