Are you sure this stage is not in reverse?
Surely they would not put the mountains in the front.
>>
I am more worried about a sprint run in that seems to be on a downhill
>>
>>157071807
seems like breakaway stage that fatties couldn't get into, so maybe there won't be much of a sprint there

Given the GC situation, what are we going to see in the Alps? Seixas in front, with Pogi wheelsucking on him, while also piggybacking del Toro? Imagine the French seethe if Pogi counters every Seixas attack by pulling del Toro back, then oversprinting him right before the finish, and then gifting del Toro more stage wins / bonus seconds.
>>

Dont think we will see anything different than last Sunday Pog leads with Toro and Remco in his wheel and the rest gets dropped. Pog takes the first dehuez and I dont see any GC changes.

I saw Mads Pedersen in a Lidl in Holbæk a few weeks ago. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Lidl pasteries in his hands without paying.

The Lidl cashier at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the pasteries and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each pastery and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning and saying "I have an employee discount" really loudly.

>>
>>157074883
I just don't use anything less than 32 anymore, I'm not fast anyways and 32 or even 35 is just much more comfortable to ride on. Also turning is much better on wider tires. The reason you see guys crash in these TTs is because the tires they're using are so fucking narrow.

Also lower pressure is way more comfortable on rough roads too.

Do you use clinchers or tubeless? I just ride 25mm out of habit, I think my bike accomodates up to 30mm, I never really thought about going wider because I don't feel like it's particularly bothersome. I have a 25mm pair in the closet but maybe i'll try 30's for my next-next pair if it's so much better

For me, I like when they catch dopeurs because that is pure evil, but I don't think it's good for the sport when they vilify clean riders by raising the spectre of active doping without any real evidence. My personal theory: I think it's the perception (bolstered by past experience) that whoever dopes hardest and most sophisticated wins in cycling, whereas in other sports there's either a perception of a more even playing field (track and field, long-distance running etc) or even a sense of doping being a minor factor (football). While these might be patently false (it's pretty unrealistic to be at the highest level in any sport without partaking, and there's a reason why nations take turn dominating certain disciplines, but only for a while), cycling has seen multiple wins clearly being driven by doping more than anything else.

TL;DR: other sports don't have Bjarne Riis and other winners that would have been very obviously impossible without doping being a major factor in who's winning even if everyone is doing it

I still think the football equivalent to Bjarne is Leicester City in 15-16. That whole team was moving like supermen

Green without a mass sprint win sure is something

>>157075992
No more sprint stages though, I think Pedersen has done enough & he can go in a couple of breakaways to lock it up

If you find evidence for doping in pro football and try to publish it, you're dead. No way they will let you interfere with their multi-billion-cash cow.

went to 30mm with TPU's and honestly it's lovely, although if I drop the pressure to the most comfiest ride quality, I do tend to get snake bites on some of the gravel sections I like to do, usually because of hitting a stone in a hole at high speed. So to avoid that, my pressure is around 60 psi, which is a bit more uncomfortable than I'd like. That's why my next tyres will be either be 32 or 35mm.

My Giant Propel was set up with them out of the factory and I didnt' really notice much different to be honest. I punctured once and then I had to walk home, so I'm afraid to ride tubeless out on holiday where i'm always alone and far from home; I want to be able to do roadside repair and with tubeless that just seems a big problem (and i honestly don't puncture much, haven't punctured once this year with my conti gp 5000s)
>>
>>157076581
There's huge differences with sealants. I use Orange seal and I've had like one puncture that needed a plug. I have Dynaplugs on my road bike and WTB TCS rocket kit on my gravel bike. It's also possible to put a tube into a tubeless tire even if it's a bit more difficult but I haven't carried one for a couple of years now.

Stay away from inserts if you want to carry a spare tube just in case tho. Because in case you get an unsealable hole in a tire with an insert you're riding with the insert. Impossible to remove roadside.

That said if tubes aren't a problem for you there's no huge benefit in tubeless. The biggest one is if you're (amateur) racing since sealant will often save your race if you get a small puncture.

yeah. another benefit is less flats. everyone racing is now on 28 or 30mm tires that measure 30-33 when inflated because of how wide modern rims are. even the tt bikes are on 28s

here's an article about what widths various riders are running on the tour: https://www.bikeradar.com/features/tech/tour-de-france-2026-tyre-data

Why testing the French, we already know he's clean. Are tested those who come from suspicious coutries, those who have a suspicious name, or suspicious faces etc.

It isn't when taking into account everything that comes with going to Hesburger. It's literally the only fast food burger place where you're waiting forever for your burgers. And it's still a fast food burger that isn't notably better than what you'd get at any other fast food place.

>t's also possible to put a tube into a tubeless tire even
One feller on "a cycling site" said he uses tubeless tyres with tubes exclusively for their tougher sidewalls.
Interesting argument, especially since nice (read: pricey) tyres tend to have extra delicate sidewalls - as proved by GP4k's I used to run back in the day and how the sidewall ripped for no reason whatsoever, like, 2 months in.
Still put 3 season onto them after the infamous candy wrapper repair, tho.
