The TdF production team has understood over the years that a good share of the audience watches for the landscapes so every Tour is kind of a panorama of different beautiful places in the country. And I think it's true, France has an impressive diversity in landscapes and ecosystems, on the same level as huge landmasses like the US or China, which for such a small country is impressive in itself

One feller on "a cycling site" said he uses tubeless tyres with tubes exclusively for their tougher sidewalls.
Interesting argument, especially since nice (read: pricey) tyres tend to have extra delicate sidewalls - as proved by GP4k's I used to run back in the day and how the sidewall ripped for no reason whatsoever, like, 2 months in.
Still put 3 season onto them after the infamous candy wrapper repair, tho.

>poogacar gifting that stage was very blatant
Bullshit. He could have gone earlier, that much is clear, but the plan was obviously for Burrito to win. Then Evenepoel went over the top and the Big Dopeur had to try and catch up and beat him in a sprint from behind. Just keeping up like he did was pretty insane, I don't think he 'gifted' that.

You do not believe poogacar gifted the stage? I'll find a turbo brainletjak for you. It was clear as day. burrito looked like shit on his final attack and clearly wasn't going to win. poogacar followed and didn't even bother sprinting for it.

He said he didn't gift it. I don't think he is lying, there's no shame in saying something like 'I felt he earned it', and giving away bonus seconds to Evenepoel goes against The Plan™. As we all know UAE is quite full of themselves and Le Dopeur hasn't been very generous so far. Giving away the stage after their plan fails purposefully seems strange.
I'm not saying I am certain, I wouldn't bet any money on it, but I don't think he gifted it. Then again I haven't rewatched the finish, so I might just be wrong.

Looking forward to that brainletjak.

Makes some sense, but poogacar did make a point of saying "sometimes I think he needs a boost of confidence" or something along those lines. There is no way Remco beats him in that sprint. I do not think poogacar was going to win the stage regardless. He was maybe hoping burrito wins, and if he doesn't then he allows someone else to win. He did not have the aggressive sprint either. I see what you're saying about the bonus seconds though. But I suspect they don't really give a fuck. If he's been gapped, what's another couple of seconds if poogacar has already decided he doesn't want the stage. I what caused that mentality though because he's been no stranger to grabbing all availabe wins other than last year because he started getting booed by the french. Maybe fan pressure + doping suspicions + wanting to help burrito as a side quest.

>A Turkish governor has been fired after sharing videos and images of himself on social media wearing Lycra.

The governor of Ardahan province, Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli, was dismissed on July 17 without reason following a decree signed by Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and was replaced by Ömer Hilmi Yamlı.

Çiçekli had drawn recent criticism from fellow politicians who had reprimanded him for 'spending all day creating social media content' in recent months and 'wearing cycling tights all day.'

İnan Akgün Alp, MP for the Republican People's Party, said: 'A governor in leggings? That simply won't do. Such governors should be removed from office – or at least issued a fig leaf.'

He also accused Çiçekli of 'abandoning the seriousness and dignity of state office'.

Şamil Tayyar, deputy for the Justice and Development Party, accused Çiçekli of undermining his status as a politician by frequently appearing in cycling gear: 'Neither citizens nor his own civil servants will take a governor in leggings seriously,' he said, adding: 'He has no authority.'

The remarks came as images on social media showed the governor sporting black cycling tights and a red fitted top as he rode on his bike.

Tomorrow is strange, it's a much worse stage for a breakaway than Saturday (so many KOM points) and Pogacar wants to win for sure, so it's just going to be VPP and Carapaz sprinting for the early points and then Mads securing green from a break with no big hitters.
>>
Lenny has been riding pretty well but he seems to have gone under the radar. Jegat is also doing a good ride this tour, basically the same as last year. Something impressive about being on a shitter team and getting a stealth top 10. Voisard must be a little disappointed though. Turder need to start getting results if they're ever to reach their ambitions. Especially with the likes of Q36 knocking on the doors of even WT teams.

>"Adam Yates has stomach problems. He had to vomit, but he was feeling better today. With Brandon, it’s different,” Matxin says, referring to Brandon McNulty , who abandoned during stage eighteen. “He has no fever, he doesn’t have corona, and he hasn’t delivered any positive health tests. But he does have symptoms, especially a sore throat.”
>And then there is also Tim Wellens , who finished last today, 43 minutes behind winner Richard Carapaz . “With Tim, it is different. He is not sick. After he had done his thing and was dropped, it was better to recover. Today was a breakaway stage in which we weren't going for the win. In that case, it is better to recover.”
>A striking statement, because Wellens himself admits that he is indeed sick. “In any other race, a person would give up, but you don't do that in the Tour. I am glad I made it to the finish,” he said afterwards – with a hoarse voice – to Sporza . “Fortunately, Tadej is fine and I hope it stays that way. It is clear that there is illness present in the team, but it is great that Tadej has no problems."

Not my fault lipokwab crashed out after being shit all race. There's been a few fun narratives. Merlier is a boring cunt, much prefer another sprinter winning 3 stages. Otherwise it's been gripping much more so than last year for me. Doping mystery has been fun. Carachad finally got a stage for EF which is all that really matters. If Paul can get his podium we're onto a winner. Hopefully burrito is currently shitting his guts out in a grotty french hotel lounge toilet. Even poogacar wearing black shorts because he's got the squits, this is brilliant.

What is redeeming about him? He looks like a default man for starters, he has zero facial features. He is just a man. Physically he is also the most middle of the road rider in the peloton. Doesn't have big muscles. Fairly narrow frame. Seems to have zero personality. He is just a man that's stealing stages. It's like aliens invented a tour de france sprinter and just picked all default options and he just went out and collected the stage medals for analysis. Jappe, Mads, Kooij even have personality. This guy is a synth from fallout. Don't expect him to have goats and donkeys or cry like a bitch every year like Pinot but come on. Do something.

I was thinking about what would be worst case scenario for the last two days. I don't look for any particular outcome, I just don't want it to be a slurpfest. I think the worst thing would be Seixas dropping early, because his presence puts pressure on del Toro. With Seixas gone, no one would feel pressure to do anything, because unless Remco cracks, del Toros focus likely will be securing 3rd, not attacking 2nd.

Best scenario would probably be Seixas attacking and threatening to overtake del Toro, Pogi helping his mate, and Remco smelling blood and making a tard rage attack, going ahead of Seixas, which forces Pogi to choose between sticking with del Toro or going after Remco.
>>
>>157096500
>I thought you liked Cipollini
He had redeeming qualities which were essentially gimmicks. I don't care for him much. It's just the attitude of the times. Now everyone is a good little goy. Literally every interview is the same. And people wonder why it no longer gets any wide coverage from people who aren't die hard fans. Full of dorks and cucks. Like merlier.

Bernal's rainy raid? Yate's final day drama where burrito had retarded tactics from his mongoloid DS'? Sure Jonas' win wasn't spectacular, nor was poogacar's. But there is so much more aura in those races than the tour in recent years. Even Hindley and Tao's wins were far more interesting. Roglic's win came to the final stage in agonising fashion. You'd be crazy to think the past few years of tour de nonce has been anywhere near as exciting and soulful as the giro.

poogacar wearing black shorts because he's got the suits on the PooAE team is absolutely hilarious. This is meme magic. This is why I will always meme on riders I hate. There is more to the world than people understand. I believe it's energy based. If enough energy is exerted shit(pun not intended) starts happening but it's all based on conviction, which is an expression of energy. This is why controlling your thoughts is vital because you can cause chaos for yourself if the thoughts are so powerful. Did I make PooAE shit themselves? Not entirely. But the negative energy that's focused on that entity did. The PooCI WADA ITA judges, the french public, the disgruntled fans. It's not just a batch of dodgy rotten eggs that was served to them. Well maybe it was, but that occurrence happened because of energy. The future is sculpted by energy. It happens for a reason. It's not just a realisation of previous events.

poogacar sitting himself is proof of this. If you can't see it you are blind. Conviction and cognative power is the most dangerous thing in existence and that's why propaganda needs to be destroyed, like gianetti's grinning interviews where he purposefully comes off as a harmless old man. Or poogacar's nice guy persona. That saps energy in the form of opinion and conviction from brainlet public. Once you see it you cannot unsee it. Coincidence does not exist.

Fucking grim. Then Fishboy crashed, making it even worse. The only interesting things are Memeco being stronger than expected and UAE having to adjust their dopage.

I use this "udder cream". It's very soft and thick layered protection that lasts quite a while, costs me €12 for a liter and works fine for me

I also like that the jar has a cow pattern on it. I like cows so that always cheers me up

I expect a major crowd incident on alpe dhuez today that will rival the froome ventoux incident. When you've got alpe dhuez this late in the race and you've got all those Dutch fans that have been drinking for 20 days straight and camping roadside i fear something bad is going to happen and aso will feel the shame of having included alpe dhuez in their race

It will be even worse tomorrow I bet

I don't think so personally, the Galibier & Croix de fer are dead at the top. Alpe D'Huez is party mountain so expect lots of drunkards, people running into frame flashing their dick to the camera without looking at the oncoming riders etc... just total chaos
