This is, to my knowledge, the first actually complete collection of David Hartwell's fantastic "Year's Best Science Fiction" anthologies. Many collections are available on the web but they were all missing book #12, which couldn't be found anywhere on the web for years. I discovered it on annasarchive a couple of days ago. Sadly those 18 books are all we are ever going to get since David Hartwell passed away in 2016.magnet:?xt=urn:btih:026be0a3dabb72e398e82ac8a7f555b6211be237&dn=Hartwell%20Year%27s%20Best%20SF

>>1290071No, Gardner Dozois publishes a different collection of anthologies. He is still alive and at it AFAIK. Must be at around book #30 or so right now. Hartwell's collection is overall better though.
>>1278350I had a previous iteration of this thread bookmarked for the longest time. Now that I have an external hdd, I started downloading the collection. The 30's one is already seeding, but the 40's stopped at 37,1% during the last night. I'm hoping it is a temporary issue, and anyway started download on the 50's and 60's packs. Hope to start seeding them soon.Thank you, Book Curator. It's one hell of a work you've done here. Thank you too, OP, for keeping the threads alive and easily acessible.

Hello, looking for the SFF Update collection 1-399 (found 400-450) AND 451-459 (found 460-470)Also, any news about 470 onwards? The last update was a year ago, thank you.
Hey, anyone got a compilation of all the Shadow pulps? I've found the Doc Savage ones, but haven't found The Shadow and The Avenger ones yet.
>>1300171Current is 487.Discussion is happening about a potential remaster at 500, but at this rate, that's a year off at least. As for 1-399, you want the 400 remaster. It's 120gb (in 7zip chunks), so you need a lot of space to get it into a usable state, then do the 10atatime updares to get to 480... And then individuals to 487.
>>1300171Search for "sff400 torrent" and be surprised where it is. Same source lacks 450-460, so unsure where to get that.
>>1300508I wonder why weren't they uploaded to archive.org like the rest. Does any of the community members plan to do so in the near future perhaps? Thank you.

Bump, I can't let this thread die
>>1300508where can i find the individual updates? I got up to 470 on IA (minus 450-460 because it's not on there)
>>1306169At some point, 450-460, and 470-480, and the 480s (which are not quite to 490 yet) will be available. The reason this group effort has lasted so long is dedication and staying private: think about how long it took to do 480+ releases, even at 1 a month, that's 40 years, and while early releases were much faster, these days it's not even 1 a month.
>>1290071Yes. He edited a lot of those.
>>1291542Thanks for the message. It's a work of love for SFF, and love to share it.
>>1296643You can load the torrents and only Select one author.
>>1301124Ok. I will maybe include an extensive README on the next. For now: WHAT IS THIS COLLECTION:This is a COMPREHENSIVE collection of Science Fiction and Fantasy books AND magazines, separated by decade because Calibre and Torrents jave difficulty processing such massive numbers of files. If you know SciFi history, you should know that most stories started in the Pulp Magazines. THOSE are not all available on their own. Also, the mags are beautiful and contain first printings with illustrations. The mission is to have them EVERYTHING available in a Searchable and Filterable interface, hence Calibre. Also can order by date and many other fields.I include multiple formats because errors are incorporated when converting, so having multiple assures the best formatting is available. Believe me, it's a problem with a collection this massive.I spent a lot of time and went through a lot of pains fixing: Names, titles, COVERS, dates and metadata. Covers are First Printing, not what came with the file. Check any other collection and it wont be so clean. Most is checked that it's the same as their entry in ISFDB.org, and the ID is included in the metadata. So, I curated everything, and liked it so much I released it. Hope you like it too.

so wait, this is a calibre collection, i tried calibre a long time ago and didnt like it cause it moves my files around, is this collection already designed to work with calibre out of the box? i notice a lot of the files are htmlz format, can calibre just read these directly without moving shit around and converting it into another format? is this how calibre normally organizes its files once they're added to its library?if i can just use calibre to read these directly that'd be great but so far im just manually entering the zip and opening the html in the browser wich is gay
