There is no reason why the early stuff is in 1080. Not even the early HD episodes. They broadcasted in either 720 or 1080i. It's not like WWE got from stock. Nearly the entire thing should be in 720

i've been reencoding them to 480p AVC and they look just fine to me, almost no quality lost. they come in at around 500mb for the 45 minute shows, and 1gb for the 90 minute shows. these have no reason to be 1080p @ 2.5/5GB a piece from what i can tell, besides the fact that they are (likely) web-dl's directly from the network.you could make them even smaller with HEVC i imagine.

i've been rereencoding them to 4320p and i dont care if they look exactly the same they will fill up as much space as possible and no one can do anything about it.you could make them even bigger with topaz i imagine.
