Basically just repeating others, but the important thing to me is that ogres are degenerate hillbillies with superficial trappings of civilization, while trolls are more savage. Ogres are like the dumbest civilized humanoids while trolls are more like the smartest of the feral monsters.I prefer it when ogres use clubs and trolls use claws/teeth. But 3e Forgotten Realms had a troll fighter NPC that I liked, because he had unusually high int and unusually low str, he's using armor and a sword because he's the smartest weakest and most nerdy of the trolls.
