Slowpoke still hard at work. Almost done with monsters and able to move onto spells/traps.>Why so slow, Slowpoke?Less vanillas in the set to skip over, also I have too much fun testing. Also, also lots of balancing, flavoring and revisiting things.Lots of super fun toys to play with in Set #4 here, which inspired me to go on a set drafting binge, so I got Set #7 and Set #10 all written up and ready to move onto after 2~4. Set #2 and Set #3 were filled up, but are currently being reorganized with some card swaps. Xyz and Link prototyping is done, which yielded some real fun design rules, more on that when I finish working on the ones I plan one showing off, though.
>>93240459>TQ 1Reasoning. The effect is nice, but more importantly the card artwork looks funny.>TQ 2(Quick Effect): You can discard this card, then target up to 3 monsters with the same attribute in either GY (min. 2); Shuffle them into the deck. If you targeted at least 2 monsters with the same type and attribute with this effect, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's activation.
>>93241570Would this have also countered the Tearlaments Tier 0, or would the Ishizu cards have been able to counter it?
>>93240459>TQi love this guy, back when sekka's was at 3 kaiju ba was all i played
>>93244137Tearlament format put a lot of mono-DARKs in the GY, so as long as it were the case that you could target 2 DARKs, the Ishizu shufflers wouldn't be able to respond.
>>93246306Huh. Wonder if it would have been enough to reduce it from Tier 0 to Tier 1 instead. Probably not on its own, unfortunately.
>>93240459>CaCLevel 6/WATERThunder/EffectNeither player can activate the effects of FIRE or LIGHT monsters. If your opponent Special Summons a monster from the GYs during a turn where they have already Special Summoned 3 other monsters from the GYs (Quick Effect): Special Summon this card from your hand, then, return all FIRE or LIGHT Monster Cards on the field to the Deck. You can only use this effect of "card" once per turn.100 ATK/2700 DEFi actually really hate this line of designing but i felt like giving it a try
>>93249586oh wait>You can Special Summon this card from your hand
>>93249586The attribute restriction isn't really necessary imo. You could just write it as a general anti-cemetery card and reign in the bounce effect a bit, and it'd generally be good in any meta >If your opponent Special Summons a monster from the GYs during a turn where they already Special Summoned 3 other monsters from the GYs (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card (from your hand), and if you do, return all monsters Special Summoned from the GY to the hand. The bounce effect would be just a little bit more fair since it only affects monsters summoned from the GY, but it's also broader in its activation condition which would make it useful outside of this meta. Off the top of my head it would hit Dark World and King's Sarcophagus in particular, though you might not wanna use it against DW.
titaniklad is unaffected by other extra deck monsters effects for the turn that its summoned- if I summon titaniklad after the opponents mirrorjade has already activated its endphase nuke, will titaniklad be protected or not?
>>93252337it will die in the ep.https://db.ygoresources.com/qa#23491
>>93252337it is affected regardless of when in the turn you summoned it; monsters that are unaffected by activated effects are only immune to effs that occur exactly when the they resolve in the chain, any lingering or continuous effs apply normally.
>>93252032i thought of that but i went with this to cover GY effects like flamberge and to bounce monsters in S/T, it also manages to hit any fiendsmith crap in there as a side bonus. it also became more palatable as a concept to me to make it something a FIRE or LIGHT deck wouldn't want to make use of
>>93240459>Thread CaC:
>>93252761It'd probably get used by them regardless since it accounts for the mirrors, voiceless voice, and tenpai in particular.
>>93253778oh right i forgot snake-eye can rip their own floodgates off the board when it's convenientfuck this deck
So, you guys think that this format is going to last to Worlds, or is it going to be slaughtered before then?
>>93254967based on the ocg hits, unless they really wanna fuck up the worlds banlist it'll probably last till then.
>>93255453So...another two months of this format. Here's hoping there's a good amount of brews waiting in the wings so we end up with a really wide format.
>>93256312with fiendsmith basically being orcust 2.0 im sure there's some nasty shit people are working on
