One of the isekai jumps that Val made had a perk to that lets you make a non-litRPG system into a litRPG system, so the opposite should also be possible. Iirc it was Weakness of Beatrice.

Here is 1.0 of my Pokémon Trading Card Game (GB). It can be put on the drives.

1.0 Changelog:

>>93462119
Shonen is just a demographic. It covers multiple genres. So there are plenty of SoL and sports shonen. If you mean battle shonen, it's a bit harded. I think Kengan is technically shonen. Ippo if we have a jump for it.
>>
>>93462137
Is that underpowered? I never finished Ranma but the jump seems like it has some strong stuff.
>>
>>93462133
>>93462173
I find authors who do this incredibly dumb. If you want number to not show up in your story then maybe just don't fucking make the central power system of the story revolve around numbers in the first place.

A Elder Scrolls Oblivion system where your super attack is just the scroll duping method to drop millions of gold ingots onto your enemy. Kinda makes me sad there aren’t all that many crack fics like that. Also ones where the MC has access to console commands and I can just turn my brain off for a bit while reading it, both are rare. Or at least I’ve not found many, there’s on fallout one that’s kinda recent but otherwise the last one I can remember reading was a 5k word Gmod tool fun based power insert into Mass Effect
>>
>>93462223
Worm
>>
>>93462223
The TF2 jump itself, or Overwatch for the Mercy perk. Girl Genius might work
>>
>>93462207
the central system of power in most worlds is money, but you dont need to know the characters exact bank account balance.
Just informing the reader about their broad status in comparison to others is more than enough, and focusing too much on the small shit just drags things out in a way that doesen't benefit the story.
>>
>>93462247
This is so wrong headed I don't even know where to begin with it
>>

One of the most successful modern authors is Brandon Sanderson. You might think focusing on shit like the stats of your magic system is dumb, but obviously it makes good financial sense.
>>
>>93462274
having a hard magic system doesn't mean you need to keep track of all numbers relevant to it at all times for your characters.
>>
>>93462247
Focusing on the nuances of the setting is never bad, most authors are simply incapable of doing it which is why they rely on fanfiction-like fallbacks such as litRPG mechanics to carry the backbone of their settings for them
>>
>>93462300
I haven't seen a lot of litRPG mechanics in fanfiction spaces. They might be cliche, but I don't think you can call them "fanfiction-like".
>>
>>93462207
How about not making the power the central focus of the story and more the actions of the MC while the power set does stuff in the background.
>>
>>93462312
NTA, but Valeria is a published author.
>>
>>93462300
>Focusing on the nuances of the setting is never bad
wrong, the most important thing in stories are either the characters or the central conflict, world building is nice, but it should always play a secondary role. Just spending time explaining everything in detail and doubling your word count is an amateur writing mistake.
>>
>>93462311
They're fanfiction-like in the sense that they save the writer the work of having to actually construct a coherent world and narrative or expositing about it to the reader. It just uses societal background knowledge to make the reader fill in the blanks.
>>
>>93462312
Question. who the fuck is Brandon Sanderson and why does one author doing this out of thousands matter compare to all the ones that came before.
>>
>>93462322
Tolkien spent literally 90% of his time worldbuilding. The actual narrative was a very small fragment of his project.
>>
>>93462326
>>93462274
Brandon Sanderson doesn't even keep track of any numbers, none of his magic systems have anything to do with those.
>>
>>93462332
You are the one currently arguing in favour of hard magic system filled with numbers like isekai garbage litRPG's
>>
>>93462326
He's one of the more sucessful modern fantasy authors.
Has both a sizable fandom and a sizable hatedom because of his insistence on hard magic systems. To the point of giving lectures on the topic. A divisive figure if you will.

>>93462347

>who the fuck is Brandon Sanderson
A mormon autist who writes fantasy stories at an incredible pace at a decent quality.
Never heard of anyone finding him particularly great, but in certain circles on the internet people act like hes famous on par with Rowling or GRRM.
>>
>>93462339
I just checked and I've never heard of any of his books while I've heard of Howard and Lovecraft.
>>
>>93462355
>A mormon autist who writes fantasy stories at an incredible pace at a decent quality.
Isn't the dude just averaging a book per year?
>>
>>93462331
worldbuilding outside a book isn't what anyone is talking about, its about what is told within the story.
Wasting time in lord of the rings to elaborate on the magic system or talk about the exact nature of orcs and the way the supply lines work would've killed the pacing.
>>
I feel like doing a lighting/thunder/electricity based jumper for my next chain but i've got a very specific set of powers I want to mix and match together for his power-set and while I could get them from different jumps I do wonder if I could get them from a singular one, so i'll lay out the power's i'd like him to have and if y'all could suggest some jumps where I could pick up a lighting/thunder/electricity powerset/perks that could encompass them i'd greatly appreciate it.
>Cole's electromagnetism from Infamous 2
>Harriet Bree from RWBY's electricity based enhanced speed (Though it doesn't need to be like slow mo levels of fast like hers)
>The ability to do Mikoto Misaka's railgun
>Killua's instant reaction using his bio-electricity
>Sauske's Kirin
I know I can pick up all of the above just by going to the characters related jump and that is the plan but I just thought I would ask before I got started just incase anyone had any suggestions on where I could trim some fat.
>>
>>93462372
Lovecraft is mainstream for basically being the father of cosmic horror

>Reckoners
Superpowers. No bookkeeping or number tracking or stats whatsoever.
>Elantris
Runebased programming language magic, and an alternative based around sacrificing people to carve seals into yourself. No bookkeeping or number tracking or stats whatsoever.
>Emperor's Soul
Also runebased magic. Involves sacrifice or rewriting the past. No bookkeeping or number tracking or stats whatsoever
>Mistborn
16 superpowers triggered by consuming metal, a storage based system where you store a quality to use it later, and metal spikes that let you rip qualities and magic out of people to nail it to yourself. No bookkeeping or number tracking or stats whatsoever.
>Warbreaker
Lifebased system where you get a comparatively higher amount of superpowers based on how much magic you accumulate. The only bookkeeping is a single number, how much breaths you have and how much are stored in a given object.
>Surgebinding
Ten elemental sources. Access two by making a contract with a spirit. Magical items here and there. No bookkeeping or number tracking or stats whatsoever.

Last year he wrote 4 books, and hes at 2 at the moment for this year.

Overall he's written over 70 fantasy books, which is pretty insane for a western fantasy author.

Isn't this perfect for a number heavy system?
>>
>>93462403
>Reckoners
Sidenote but it's interesting how this is basically the plot to Worm. Grimnoir Chronicles is also pretty similar. Wonder why "alien comes to earth to give superpowers for nefarious purposes" is so common in capeshit adjacent media.
>>
>>93462382
could you be more specific about what kind of stuff you want your electric powers to do, rather than just name chracters not everyone is familiar with?
>>
>>93462411
Listen, the only western fantasy authors I know of are Piers Anthony and John Norman. And I only know that second one because I spent entirely too long trying to pirate those mediocre bdsm books for a family member

>>
>>93462416
Yes, but given by how Sanderson knows nobody gives a fuck about that, he wisely does not inform you of how much weight Sazed or Wax have in their storage at any time, of how much life Wayne has in his battery, and the whole conflict of the first Era 2 book was a guy who lucked into an exploit that let him get near infinite regen anyway (while the villain of the first Era 1 book got himself all the infinite stat exploits because he was just like that). Characters refill their batteries offscreen because no one actually wants to see them grind it back up and we only know a character is running out if the story tells us, because again, nobody actually cares for meticulous bookkeeping of statistics. Econ majors aren't a significant part of the novel market.
>>
>>93462382
Battle Through The Heavens, you can make a custom Flame Mantra technique for any element of memory serves, or it might be you can become a heavenly element variant of any element rather than the settings base of flames. You should be able to use that to do everything you’ve asked for at vertical levels of progress. Probably better if the jump maker confirmed but none of those seem outside the capabilities of the setting even if you do need to shift the element, which again the jump allows for the stuff you buy
>>
>>93462437
I take it those twelve thousand pop ups informing you how much EXP you just earned for stepping on an ant is also important
>>
>>93462427
That's pretty weird for someone on /tg/. Like you'd think you'd know Lovecraft, Howard, Moorcock, Dunsany, Vance, and CAS.
>>
>>93462422
I mean, the most popular superhero is an alien. The two concepts are very tied together in the collective imagination.

Commentary: Back to samurai times it is. I quite liked this manga back in the day, and have a decent chunk of the series on a shelf. So Jumper is very happy to explore this world. Well, that and copy absolutely any and all information the Mibu clan has. It would be too much of a waste to let Kyo destroy it all otherwise.

I just know that all the gamer fanfics I saw spend like 500k words on grinding and making numbers go bigger, while the the actual story has progressed like 1 week and isn't even past episode 2.
>>
>>93462460
Yeah, but what about giving people powers for nefarious purposes? It's like a weird syncretism of Superman with The Devil.
>>

It's kinda because of the narrative role Superman has; he's not the First Superhero, but he was kinda the trailblazer. Superman shows up and the Age of Superheroes begins, superpowers start to spring up and society is transformed. Worm kinda leans harder on Superman as the guy who is the herald of the new age, while Reckoners leans on a similar aspect but makes the *comet* (Superman's spaceship) the herald of the new world.
>>
>>93462488
the funny thing is, Martin himself never goes down on elaborating polcies like that unless its somewhat relevant in the story, like when Tyrion made a tax on whoring to pay for Joffrey's wedding, which made him unpopular with the smallfolk.

>that young justice SI whos super fat and ends up in the Amazon Island, again just constantly slaughering stuff in instant dungeons and crafting and shit, but which ends before the plot starts
>that naruto OC fic about the bastard child of a samurai who befriends Ino in the aacdemy gains crazy stats and develops technique, I remember it had like 100k words wort of fanmade omake, and the story ended just after the mc passed the genin exam.

>If you consider each of the origin perks to be 3 separate options, there're a total of 136 perks, 71 items, and 45 companions in this jump.
>In a "basic" jump (4 origins, each having a 100/200/400/600 CP spread of items and perks), you can purchase a bit less than a 1/4th of the document without dipping into drawbacks.
>Even after you take the full length of the time extension drawback, you're still only able to buy about 1/5th of the Generic NTR Jump, before taking other drawbacks, and that's assuming you're spending most of your basic points on the origin perks, leaving you with only the stipend for the location perks and items. [I might be a bit off on the math there, I got sort of distracted partway through]
>While yes, in terms of total number of options you can purchase, this jump does give you a lot right off the bat, I feel that a large jump needs to give you a way to purchase a proportional number of options. It feels unfair to provide you with more choices but not provide a way to actually get a proportional number of them as the size of the document increases.
>I agree with folding Where's the Warehouse into Destitute Douchebag, but I feel like a power loss and item loss are distinct enough to be separate drawbacks... not to mention I'd rather not have a drawback that basically makes chainfail a 50/50 chance. Either one of them is survivable on their own, but a harsh loss; however, losing both of them is suicidal in all but the safest settings. And they are a bit heavy in value, but I feel that since people pretty much never take the power/item loss drawbacks in the first place, pricing them higher incentivizes people to take one of them when they might not normally.
>That said, I would be open to reducing the stipends, but to fairly do that I'd need to increase the number of drawbacks. Which I'm completely open to, I'm just having a hard time thinking of new ones.
Why do SBers think like this?
>>
How much should I powerwank Summons in Overlord if I take every single perk that upgrades Summoning from the jump? Also, what other Classes are the best compliment to a Summoner build?

>There’s that Naruto one where there guy gets dropped in with a Fallout Special system and fucking dump stats charisma and is actually socially retarded for basically the whole thing
right, I remember reading that. It had a plot that moved forward and was capable of using OC Characters when waranted at least, so that was a decent cut above the rest. It still became really shit when the MC gained empathy after leveling his charisma, becoming super preachy, and everyone but him became idiotic when he suggested to use ninja skills for non-military purposes as if ninjas aren't alredy doing that. Making the ROB the enemy was also a super stupid decision.
Looking back, I think the author was just doing the low CHA thing as excuse for him not having any rizz himself, since he really seemed to have struggled with character interactions beyond that.

>740k words

>>
>>93462599
I think the best resolution to that story would have been if he got to the right level, and Almost Perfect just... didn't fucking show up.
I thought that was what he was foreshadowing when he made the system feed the MC ninja-related perks, meaning the schedule and perk rotation would have changed entirely, and the MC was just refusing to see this because he was putting all his eggs in one basket.
>>
>>93462590
I’ve not, nor will I, read the jump but I do have to agree that if it’s not got any item stipend then 136 perks, or 34 per origin line if there’s 4, is a bit too much. Although the fact that there’s an easily abusable time extension kinda makes that irrelevant as it apparently lets you buy basically everything you’d want from the jump without any real drawback danger. Of course you then have to spend probably millennia in a generic NTR universe and would likely go batshit insane without a method to change the universal narrative, but that also invalidates the whole point of going to such a cuckold loving fetish setting

The context of that post is the jumpmaker defending his decision to offer 3000 starting CP and offer thousands of CP in drawbacks (including up to 2000 CP via time extension drawback) when Smut forwarded our criticism of the former.
>>
>>93462646
Before they met, Dio and Jonathan were indistinguishable from each other as kids (in the manga, at least) so that really is a fair point to raise.
>>
Why would you rather talk about another community's GENERIC NTR JUMP instead of a jump we have on our own drive? Are you NTR fetishists? Have SB NTR'd you people?
>>
>>93462593
you could take the necromancy specialty and the orb of death, to stack both for undead summoning, which would benefit both, from undead and summoning skill strengthening.

Worth noting that in setting the Elf King(whos a local child of a player), was able to use summoning magic beyond what is possible in Yggdrasil to summon a Primal Earth Elemental(which is level 87, when the cap of 10th tier spells are level 70 monsters), though unlike normal summoned, it required a constant mp upkeep cost to keep it summoned. this is also notable that the summon was of a higher level than himself(his level was in the 70s).

Personally I'd probably have jumper be a local human with level 100 and realm of heroes(freebie for local), the summoning and magical powerhouse talent, the summoning and necroancy specialty, and the abyss of magic perk, with a caloric stone infused divine tier equipment and the freebie orb of death.

Alltogether that would cost you like 1200CP Or 1500 if you want to be a skeleton instead to boost your magic power and undead summons further.

>>93462674
I mean that they were both complete shitheads, the difference is that Dio developed an inferiority complex (because at no point in his life he was secure in his position and always feared he would be booted back to the streets) while Jonathan didn't (because his position was secure meaning he grew as a person instead of doubling down of social climbing). It is not that difficult to get Dio to not be a bad person; if he had been rescued by a middle class or poor person he would have not had the issues that caused him to spiral into a villain.

I went all in on an Angel build based around summoning the heavenly hosts. I think it was something like Angel (15), Archangel (10), Seraphim of War (5) and then Taxiarch (1) for the fill thematic line. It basically just resulted in a super spell that let you summon an endless hoard of angels and archangels until the enemy managed to close the gate or sunder the banner of heaven that jumper had to carry. Thought it was a pretty fitting in setting role player build. You could probably do something similar and mono focus on one mythology to summon from with the levels. King of the Fae for fairies or Genesis Elemental if you have the right race to summon super elementals just be creative with it

>Alien (Free/200/400/600 UP): Congratulations you’re an alien. A human sized one at that. Do try to be nice since the SSSP tends to default to killing aliens that get too uppity. For free you’re no stronger or different from Humans. Maybe a few extra limbs or blue skin but nothing that puts you above and beyond a human. For 200 UP you have some physical trait that puts you at a superhuman level. Something that can put you on the tier of starting to pose a threat to the Ultra suits would be here. For 400 UP you are really entering the big leagues now. Your raw stats are on par with the mercenary Ace killer. Shinjiro with his limiter removed would be the only threat humanity could pose to you at the start of the jump. For 600 UP you really are a tough cookie. You’d be on par with Mephisto who could fight evenly for a time with Shinjiro with his limiter removed and on the cusp of awakening his Type C suit in the anime.

You think I should change the price a tad? Maybe flesh out what each tier can do a tad too?

Yeah 600 is pretty much the endgame and Bemular with the kiddy gloves off tier for the aliens that show up.

>>93462785
Free is pretty much just human but with different cosmetics,

200 is like Black king and Pigmon (hate that he's an Idolfag in this) where you have a trait that makes an Ultra suit a requirement for dealing with you like super speed or strength.

400 pretty much makes Shinjiro without his limiter, Bemular or Shin with the Zoffy suit the only threats. Ace killer for example is pretty hard to kill and was faster than any ultra suit user save for Shinjiro without his limiter.

600 is pretty much endgame level aliens like Bemular and Mephisto. The former is probably gonna be a perk to reach that level since He's actually a crippled ultraman and the latter is more in line with what you'll get.

The ultraman jump doesn't really fit the pricing for the manga. The price for the ultra suit in it is fine since it's weak for the mainline planet busting going on. The most destructive feats in the Manga and anime are around city block at most outside of Zetton and the Golden fortress (which is totally not King Joe).

summons in overlord anime are way more powerful than summons in D&D typically are. In normal D&D a summon spell will at best summon something that is a tier below whatever you're at, overlord anime however allows summon spells to summon stuff that's actually at the same tier as the summoner. For example a lvl 29 summoner that just unlocked 5th tier magic could use summon monster 5 to summon a creature that's around the same level they are, or 4 summons that are of the tier below them. This makes summoning incredibly powerful, especially since many summons have special abilities like damage reduction or they're also a spell caster or things like that.

We know summoning is super busted from as early as the encounter between Ainz and the Sunlight Scripture but because Ainz is so much more powerful it doesn't really matter and so it's easy to miss the implications. The sunlight scripture for example can effectively summon up angels that are equal to platinum rank adventurers that can also fly and have a host of special abilities as their leader can summon an orichalcum adventurer equivalent that boosts the defense of every ally it can see so long as it isn't moving around. Because of this they can effectively just run roughshod over the vast majority of opponents because they can just throw near endless reinforcements into the battle and if the angels do get killed they can just summon up more. It took a proper fully equipped adamantite adventurer team to force them to retreat in canon, and against Gazef (wthout his equipment) and his entire warrior band they were well on track to wiping out all of them despite Gazef being just below the realm of heroes (and thus higher level than even the leader of the sunlight scripture by around six or seven levels).

A jumper that is a summoner will not have the problems of the sunlight scripture though because you'll have access to 10th tier summons and super-tier summons and that's not even counting the perk boosts.
>>
>>93462823
I like the one from Crackdown. It get's better the more you advance as a super soldier, and there's also a perk there that will make the same thing happen to any vehicle you pilot, and they can stack.

>The sunlight scripture for example can effectively summon up angels that are equal to platinum rank adventurers that can also fly and have a host of special abilities
most notably I think is that the angels are immune to non-magical damage, which makes them able to easily slaughter many platinum ranks. Hell they almost killed Gazef because none of his men could touch them, and he himself was only able to compete because he knows a special martial art to infuse his sword with ki to make it count as a magical weapon, and even he was about to bo fought to exhaustion because he had to keep spamming martial arts.
>>93462985
nta, but worht noting that the Elf King wasn't just a summoning specialist, but also a high level druid and earth elementalist, which all together stacked for the Primal Earth Elemental summoning, which isn't even possible in Yggdrasil.

But yeah, its mentioned that someone who specialises in Summoning Magic can usualyl summon monsters stronger than themselves. In jump this is even much more useful, since the talent notably boosts the stats of the summons furthers.

Necromancy is also pretty busted since they can be made permanent by using corpses. Ainz can make like twelve lvl 35 undead a day, like elder liches and the death series undead. lvl 35 is basically the peak of the realm of heroes in setting which means each one of those undead is potentially equivalent to some of the most power people in any given nation. He can also make like 20 lower level undead a day that are iirc around up to lvl 22 or so, and up to 4 undead up to around lvl 70, or lvl 90 if he uses two of his high tier undead creation uses on a single target.

Given a bit of time to get started he could easily form a permanent army of perfectly loyal created undead, all of which benefit from his necromancy and summoning boosts, that could pretty easily defeat anything in the new world outside of the big outliers like the true dragon lords.

A jumper could easily replicate that but make it even better since Ainz doesn't have the benefit of the summoning specialty perk which gives summons extra abilities on top of making them more powerful in general.
>>

>>93463073
Undead seem to be on the far side of quantity vs quality, so they're a poor benchmark for the capabilities of summons but a decent point of comparison for number of summons you can produce
>>
>>93463082

>Ainz can make like twelve lvl 35 undead a day, like elder liches and the death series undead. lvl 35 is basically the peak of the realm of heroes in setting which means each one of those undead is potentially equivalent to some of the most power people in any given nation.
nta, but the cap of mid-tier undead creation is level 40, though the only undead like that we see him create are the Soul Eaters(which are basically nation slayers by themselves, as they got an instant death author low level humans cant resist and they get stronger with each kill).
Also 40 is rarely reachable by native humanoids in the new world, like Rigrit and Fluder is implied to be close to it. Though the author does mention that level 40 is a wall new worlders cant get past.

Yes, but also no. Their triumphs are great, but so are their failings. They don't whine about humans so much as they generally think humans are unreliable and Teclis is a weird little nerd for caring about them. He's a weird little nerd in general, but he's generally benign (outside of the End Times, but most if not all of that is him doing whatever Lileath tells him, and we all know how shady she is).

Also, the Asur WOULD be much more active than they are, but they take WWI-tier population losses on the regular dealing with Malekith and his Black Crusades- I mean attempts at seizing the Phoenix Throne. They've also never been the same since the whole War of Vengeance/the Beard thing. They lost a lot of things they'll never get back doing that, even if ultimately the Dawi were hit harder by events immediately after that.
>>
>>93463105
nta, but high quality undeads are a thing, like Ainz does have things like Doom Lords and Elemental skulls lying around, he just cant make permanent new minions above level 40, so he's limited to a few high class undead per fight which are temporary.

But yeah the strongest summons in setting are explicitly Angels, Devils and Dragons, who have generally higher stats and access to more spells(typical summons have only around 8 spells).

Death Knights are level 35, though there defensive abilities are closer to level 40, while there offensive abilities are around level 25.
Though necromancy skills can boost those stats slightly further(I think it was like 20%), the level remains.
Likelyy the same for other equivalent undead like Death Warriors, Death Cavaliers, Death Wizards, Death Priests and death Assassins.

Maybe you're confused because the jump for some reason gives you level 60 power as a Realm of Hero adventurer, but in setting level 40 is the hard limit what an outlier among outliers of humanity can achieve.
The Mage did freak out about the Death Knights, because controlling an undead of such a high level is impossible for him(though he keeps trying), and Ainz got dozens preparing picnic tables and shit.
>>
I just dont get why the author introduced the whole concept of Yggdrasil enchanting via the usage of data crystals, but then not actually using it in the new world, and having the new worlders for some reason create their own enchanting system based on DnD.
>>
>>93463186
That's probably it. Thanks for the rundown, anon. While we're talking Overlord, I know it focuses on undead summons, for obvious reasons, but are there any other summons that are really discussed? I know there's the angels the Scriptures summon in the first ep, and I guess the goblins Enri summons -- the squad first and the army later -- count as summons, but I can't think of anything else.

I like nature and fey themed stuff, so I've been thinking about what you could summon by way of fey / fairy high end summons and armies.

Because most creators don't plot their whole series out, do all the world building, and make sure it is internally consistent to run for X number of books / seasons. Looks-wise they are often depicted as such, but Tyrion is canonically jacked (and also might as well be a Khorne worshipper given how he gets in combat, thanks to the mental effect of the Curse of Aenarion), and the White Lions of Chrace are axe-wielding royal bodyguards descended from some woodsmen who saved the Phoenix King from a Dark Elf Assassin way back in the day. Also they kill lions in single combat. They are clearly ripped. Then there's Alith Anar, whose entire reason for existing and being as immortal as he is is that he hates Malekith for betraying him and his dad. He spends his free time thinking of increasingly painful ways to kill Dark Elves. He's part of the two-man "I Became An Immortal Spirit Of Vengeance Out Of Sheer Hatred For Malekith Specifically Club," and the other member is Grombrindal.

Now, Alarielle might seem like a granola girl, but she can purge a Chaos Champion of his dark blessings just by touching him. This usually kills him. Consider also that her true love is Tyrion (except in End Times but let's not talk about that) and the sheer carnage he's willing to commit in her defense, and that she's the most warlike Everqueen in Asur history, willing to command armies on the regular.

Some summons are the five primal elementals, wich shouldn't be able to be regularly summoned but the staff of ainz ooal gown or certain advanced builds in the new world can, they are level 87 except for the star that is at level 90, the dark youngs, wich are at level 90 but requires thousands of sacrifices, a super tier spell, and are temporary, the cherubim gatekeepers wich are level 80 created by another super tier spell, and armageddon evil spawn tons of weak demons. Fae related spells we know sadly are only guiding ones, bless of titania, wich guide you through the less dangerous path.
Nta.
>>
>>93463206
its mentioned that the strongest summons are Angels, Demons and Dragons(though we never actually see anyone summon draogns), who have generally higher stats and access to more spells(normal summons typically only have up to 8 spells each, but the high tier Demon Demiurge summons at one point for example has 20 spells, despite having a warrior build, though that makes his spells pretty weak for his level)

Otherwise worth noting that summons through spell casting are pretty much always temporary, and that you can only have a single instance of summoning active at the same time, as in you can summon one strong monster around your level, or a handful of monsters of the tier below, but both would be one spell each, and using a new one, dismisses the old one. At the 10th tier of spells(which requires 63-69 levels of relevant spellcasters classes) you can use 10th tier summons for monsters up to level 70, which typically means the highest class of mosnters aren't avaiable, though some classes/races get skills that allow them to summon monsters stronger than that a limited number of times per day, like ainz can summon level 90 undead twice a day, or Demiurge can sumon a high level Demon once every 100 hours I think.

The Typical summons for nature themed spellcasters seems to be Elementals as we see with Elven druids or LIzardmen shamans. With the Elf King as mentioned above being able to summon an level 87 primal earth elemental because of his earth elementalist class synergizing with his summoning and high druid classes.

Otherwise animal summons have been mentioned but not shown or been elaborated on.

Anon undead in Overlord Anime can be incredibly powerful. Low tier stuff like skeletons are just that, low tier. Higher tier undead can not only be intelligent but incredibly powerful. The elder liches Ainz can casually create (and in fact did create so many of they effectively form the administration of the sorcerous kingdom in canon) are highly intelligent lvl 35 arcane casters capable of 5th tier magic and summoning up their own undead servants (but not creating permanent undead, as that's apparently summons can't do). And those elder liches are relatively low end themselves. Night Liches are basically elder liches but much higher level and canon also showed us that Ainz can call up what is effectively a demilich that is capable of 10th tier magic and is a really powerful elementalist damage dealer.

Undead are no less powerful or capable than any other type of summon in Overlord Anime, they just have different strengths and weaknesses with their greatest strength being that if you build for it you can make them permanent via undead creation skills.

>>
>>93463295
>Undead are no less powerful or capable than any other type of summon in Overlord Anime
This is so stupid that it offends me. You cannot tell me that a summonable unit can summon more of itself with a variety of specializations that are also objectively strong relative to other beings of the same level of power. That's not 'no less powerful', it's objectively superior in every single metric with no downsides to speak of.
So it's obviously a wrong assertion. Now shut the fuck up.
>>
>>93463141
death knights are lvl 35. It's implied he can make stuff higher than lvl 40 permanent but that it requires higher level corpses to do so, which is a problem because the vast majority of the new world never even reach beyond the single digits. Like the Elf King's corpse for example should be enough to let him make a permanent lvl 90+ undead like an Overlord Wiseman but Ainz probably won't do that in setting because 1) he's dumb and will probably forget he even fought the elf king in like a month and 2) there's no point to him doing it because he doesn't need a high level undead given he can effectively make endless amounts of low tier undead that are just as effective given how most of the world is low level, and the few high tier threats can just get gang-banged by Ainz and the floor guardians.

nta, but Elder Liches are level 22, though there stats are higher if summoned by Ainz. Technically that makes them low tier undead, Ainz can create 20 times per day.

Fluder was losing his shit over the idea that Ainz could just make death knights at will, which as far as he knew was impossible. Ainz's death knight might actually have been weaker than the death knight that Fluder captured on account of the captured death knight being "natural" and not a summon, meaning it has the potential to grow more powerful over time. On the flip side Ainz's death knights have much better stats than normal because of his various necromancy boosts, so it's hard to say whether or not Fluder would have been able to tell the difference between them anyway and ultimately it doesn't really matter because Fluder is basically a non-entity at this point and unlikely to show up in canon again.

Went kill time at locals and it was alright. My melodious are weak af against the top meta but has a fair chance against everything else. Finally found some ragnaraika and Aromage that aren't overpriced af so I'll get them and mess with my naturia deck. Only issue is that the cards can lock me out of my therion cards and shut down my OTK naturia line (mosquito and cliff with Kaiju) which is how the deck wins games.
On that note I finally found a Weiss shwarz group. Cards are more expensive than casual Yu-Gi-Oh but less than competitive Yu-Gi-Oh unless I collect the super expensive collection cards.
There's a bocchi the rock starter deck so I'm thinking of going with that.

NTA, but I think only permanent summons can summon other monsters. The Demon Demiurge summoned for example explicitly cant summon another of himself, because he was summoned himself, despite normal members of his race being able to summon another member of their race once per day or something.
Or maybe its a limit of monsters summoned via skill, only being able to summon monsters via spells.

I think it was a juxtaposition between the fact that the Yggdrasil characters are basically hard locked in what they are capable of while the locals aren't. Yggdrasil crafters are restricted to set recipes which require specific ingredients and materials to make whereas new world enchanting doesn't. This is something brought up in canon on occasion both to use as justification for Ainz's paranoia and also to highlight that certain things are just beyond Yggdrasil characters. For example homunculus maids and vampire brides cannot cook because they don't have crafting classes for making food. As a result no matter what they try anything they attempt to cook will be ruined even if they follow exact step-by-step instructions. NPC's are basically static, as are level 100 players, they're not going to get new spells or skills or abilities and they're never going to grow beyond what they start with. Conversely new world locals have no such limitations but do suffer from the fact that they have to deal with level caps that prevent them from ever reaching the highest levels alongside ignorance of how the system works and thus they don't know they're fucking up their build by pursuing non-complementary vocations / classes and don't even know they have builds in the first place. In theory though if a local could get to lvl 100 and had a properly optimized build they would be far more versatile and capable than anyone from Yggdrasil on account of their ability to continue learning new spells and abilities and further developing their skills.
>>
>>93463332

We see more angels in the Holy Kingdom of Roble and the elf king also uses a super powerful primal earth elemental summon that is actually even higher level than he is. We don't see much summoning focused stuff though because the local nations near Nazarick are punching bags and thus narratively aren't allowed to have cool shit that could potentially show up Nazarick. Re-Estrize in particular is guilty of this as the entire kingdom seems to have been set up from the start to be as awful and mismanaged as possible while also being effectively under the thumb of a criminal cartel that has more military power than the entire kingdom while the neighboring baharuth empire seems to have somehow avoided most of that with all of the empire's powerful people decided to just be neutral for some reason.

The lizardman alliance used Swamp Elementals in their battle against the Elder Lich that Cocytus sent in to attack them, and the elder lich summoned up a bunch of blood meat hulks as bodyguards. Iirc the swamp elemental summoning also showcased ritual casting where they were able to do a ritual to summon up something more powerful than they would normally be capable of, iirc swamp elementals were a 4th tier summon but the lizardmen were only 3rd tier casters at best. Iirc the albino lizardman lady also showed in the same fight the "over magic" meta-magic skill that let her cast spells on tier higher than she could normally cast at the expense of it costing way more mana than normal.

Spell casters have hard limits in regards to how much mana they have which as a result means they have far lower combat endurance than martial types. That said yes magic caster summons that can then call up summons of their own are incredibly strong and dangerous but that's not something limited to undead. Summoning in overlord anime is just really fucking strong, it's the entire reason why the sunlight scripture exists because the theocracy realized that an elite unit of summoners is just fucking unfair.

I also just have tons and tons of reincarnated soldiers that come from those sent to various afterlifes who sign up after they die to get better treatment (ones that would have gone to another god or to oblivion instead of to me basically, they can sign up to my army and instead they go to one of my afyerlives as if they sold me their souls)

They do, the locals just don't know it. It's implied some Player in the past used a world item to basically force the Yggdrasil system onto the new world, probably at the same time the translation mechanism was introduced. Thanks to that the new world is actually deterministic. We also know the system is canon because it is explicitly mentioned that Adherent of Surshana exists. One of the theocracy guys has it and its' a prestige class that came into existence because of the theocracy's worship of Surshana, a Player that was one of the six great gods in the past. The system exists in the new world and the locals just don't know about it because the only people that could tell them are Players and Players come from a dysoptian cyberpunk future where information sharing was explicitly something that was heavily discouraged.

>>
>>93463548
The new world is a real world that had video game mechanics forced on it. How the locals interact with the system is different from how people from Yggdrasil interact with it, but it doesn't mean the system isn't in place. In fact we know it is, we've got canon builds for a whole bunch of new world characters and as mentioned before the Adherent of Surshana prestige class exists.

My argument is that a system so loose that it's basically a social fucking contract is in fact truly nothing but an abstraction which inaccurately represents reality. No they don't. They can't or else Adherent of Surshana couldn't exist, if Adherent of Surshana exists than the system doesn't exist so Adherant of Surshana also doesn't exist as a Class in truth. Classes cannot be real either way, this one case proves that they're completely arbitrary made up constructs that can be invented with whatever qualities and attributes people want to ascribe to them for personal convenience.

Okay, let me put it in succinct terms, since you don't seem to get it. The problem isn't a system that accounts for new variables, it's a system that is adaptable to the point where it obviates its own existence in conforming to the inconveniences of life and the demands of people. If the system can spit out any class at all, and people can learn abilities and skills regardless of classes, then what does the class system even stand for? It becomes misrepresentative of a person's real capabilities, and the idea of a suboptimal build becomes complete nonsense.

I shall one day be able to sell the edgiest of eyes to whoever wants them and am looking to grab all manner of other eyeball types to make a catalogue of eyeballs for purchase and customization.

It classifies and codifies skills and abilities in a way that can be interpreted by a character sheet and also grows or develops along such lines. Im not sure why this is so hard for you to understand. Its not like there arent thousands of litrpg or isekai stoeies where the system contains literally anything as a skill from picking your nose to fighting sharks.

The problem is that people below level 64 can't cast level ten spells, no matter what, if you don't have a divine class you won't cast divine spells. The system adapt but it still exist as a framework.

>So what's going on in your chains today?
Jumper’s time in TinyHammer continues to be a rocky road during the latter half of a decade due to various people taking advantage of toys coming to life around the world to raise teams of “toy gangs” to infiltrate other people’s houses or serve as saboteurs. Surprise deaths due to poisoning/arson are worryingly rising. Jumper’s Getter Robo models trying to get Jumper out of their shell has worked somewhat: they made friends with the owner of a hobby shop whose willing to share some of their various models/spare parts they “won” from the hostile “toy gangs” running around. It honestly felt more like a drug dealer meeting but hey, Jumper now has a steady stream of materials to create more soldiers or build armor/weapons for their toy army.

Under these permissive rules, there is nothing stopping me from simply autistically declaring myself as the Chosen One, getting a bunch of people to agree with me that I am the Chosen One, and getting a special Chosen One class that gives me whatever spells I want at whatever levels I want, because I said so. Also I can simply learn whatever skills I want independent of my levels and classes anyway, because classes are not restrictive for new worlders.

>Why do SBers think like this?
no one will ever know

A Warning:
This jump makes use of a lot of gendered language. But women are perfectly
capable of cucking and being cucked in turn. Every perk/item/companion here can
be used on targets of any sex or gender, the jump just makes assumptions
regarding gender because it’s hard to get the right emotional impact across using
gender-neutral terminology. So it doesn’t matter whether you’re a man, woman,
or futa, or gay, straight, or bisexual; whether you prefer to be cucked by men or
women. Fanwank the specifics of how each perk or item works for you, but
they’re all applicable despite the genders mentioned in the text.
Furthermore, many options have extensive flavor text. If it isn’t a direct effect of
the option, it does not affect you; as a Bull you could take the Cuck version of
Child Care if you wanted to be a good parent, and it would not in any way affect
your relationships.
Many options reference specific types of relationships; you may freely disregard
such things. A perk about cheating on your husband works just as well for
cheating on your boyfriend, and can be adapted to other types of relationships,
such as familial ones.
Do note that this jump does not represent the beliefs of the author; this is made
for entertainment purposes only. Doing this to real-life people would be horrific.

The moment Team Rocket entered the establishment, I was prepared. I was armed. The children's card game-shooting gun was in my hand, I was turning in my seat, eyes blazing with the sheer dedication and will of a man who would NOT have his game interrupted by something as small-time as a criminal organisation limited to one universe. Right as the Team Rocket Goons were gawking at my own Pokemon playing cards at each other, from Blaize to Gar to the heavily mutated Eevee to the Altaria incongruously sat between it and Mewssingno and freaking Arceus just chilling at the bar I was pointing a gun at the first goon's head.

"W-wait!"

"It's time to D-D-Duel Terminal" I said, pulling the trigger.

The laws of reality unravelled, as my syncretisation of ancient Egyptian magic and Shintoism trapped the goons and myself in a pocket reality where THE CARD GAME MANIFESTED REAL MONSTERS and I proceeded to absolutely stomp everyone there by drawing the Blue Eyes White Dragon over and over again.

After taking the goons' money and cards and breaking their spirit from losing a manifested children's card game. I tracked down their bosses' lair. Presumably they thought I was going to challenge their boss to a duel, but I just got Gar to psychically levitate the castle and shake it until he agreed that the true purpose of playing card games was NOT to get splattered on the pavement.

Then I immediately went back to crushing children and Pokemon alike at card games.

Priest is a faith-based class. Priests were looked upon as a magic caster of the Divine type. According to Ainz, resurrection magic is the province of high-level priests.

I don't believe that a system actually exists in the new world. That is the crux of my argument, that the system you're describing is too fucking stupid to be taken seriously and that the setting doesn't actually work like this. If you agree with that point, then I am right. If you disagree with that point, you must concede that making up whatever classes you want is something the system can do, in which case I still win the argument because you've debased yourself and your position.
>>
>>93463953
Wild magic isn't a part of the system of yggdrasil, and in fact you can't take it with a class. Again the powers unique to the new world, like talents and wild magic aren't part of the system and so can break its rules, still nothing ever implied that the system creates stronger classess on demand.
>>

Symbiote jumper got outed as a symbiote during a live demonstration of his new robots. it was one of his two drawback stalker (the one wanting to bond with him) and she attacked all supervillain style. Trying to force a bond by trying too kill his human body. A fight broke out and she was arrested. But now jumper has to have a press conference and hopefully the masses are stupid enough to believe that his blob form is from a neogenetics experiment gone wrong and is now living in a cloned body of his former self. On the upside, he can now tell people what DNA and cells are like from up close.
I wonder if I could spin this as a means to get closer to Rogue. I know symbiotes can turn off transformations and powers of some people, such as Ben Grimm. As a side effect of the Elden Ring and Dark Souls timelines merging, Gwyn and his early allies have ended up in the pre-Golden Order Lands Between while Marika and her early allies have ended up at the moment the First Flame manifested.

Gwyn's reflexive racism has backfired immensely. Due to not even being remotely sympathetic at the start the Greater Will not only failed to manifest for him, but decided to send down the Elden Beast SPECIFICALLY to defeat him AND direct it's fingers to treat with the Moon's adherents as well as the dragons to destroy him. Coupled with the Nameless King deciding dragons are fucking cool as well as Gwyn's allies NOT including Seath (and Bayle the Dread being too crippled and scared to show up) after several early victories Gwyn has ended up abandoned by the Chaos Witches (who decided the Fell God was neat) and Nito (who decided the Deathbirds were neat) long before he faced overwhelming military defeat. Meanwhile, Marika's reflexive racism has been tempered by Godwyn going "Hey, I met a dragon friend! He says that he'll give us scales if we fight each other! Isn't that neat?" and being the literal golden child of the family actually got his mother to listen. After holding off the genocidal impulses long enough to investigate what was going on, Marika has come to the conclusion that 1. archdragons are literally hurting nobody, and that 2. those weird freaky Abyss-dwelling jerky things that by all rights should be WAY more disturbing are perfectly civil and law-abiding unlike the wretched Hornsent of her native land. And thus, against her better judgement and with a lot of grumbling, Marika has ironically decided to settle for knifing the big snakes that are blatantly untrustworthy before founding the Golden Order.

She still wants to enforce Pygmy segregation of course but it hasn't even occurred to her what the point of a seal of fire would be because she hasn't figured out there is a cycle of Light and Dark yet and even if she had she wouldn't care because it has nothing to do with the Golden Order's power source and besides she decided to seal the First Flame off somewhere lest it burn her tree. So it'll likely just naturally fade in time. Also Godfrey likes fighting dragons even if it's unclear if he kills them and with Marika just kind of fucking around society has kind of defaulted towards dragon-themed gladiatorial combat under his reign. He's probably going to be the first dude to get a dragon Stand.

Neither history is at odds with my view of how the final conclusion of the multiverse should play out, so both will probably remain canon|affirmed by the time I'm done gluing all the settings together.

I mean sure, there was a lot of racism and ethnic tensions throughout history, no denying that. But then there's the fact that almost every single soulsborn story has the general plotline of "And then Racism (Wo)Man, CEO of Racism, decided they really really really hated [group]. This caused a truly immense amount of completely needless suffering that continues to this very day because Racism CEO has absolutely no fucking chill."

Considering new worlders who can make magic items have that as a class there may be a minimum threshhold of proficiency before you earn something as a class. Gondo the dwarf was learning rune ceafting for ages and his level is very low.

Even low crafting levels for New Worlders are wastes of their finite potential. They already have level caps, they shouldn't be wasting their few usable levels on skills that they already have as natives.

There are stronger classess like world champion but there is no class that break how the system is meant to function, and it's still up to you to prove that the system will give you an hidden class chosen one, rather than a revamped priest.

...I'm not actually sure if 16th century France is too modern for the sword and sorcery genre or not, but actually yeah add "swashbuckler/plucky token aspirant lady knight" to the Non-Fuckpillow Woman Subclass list because Monza Murcatto, Keladry of Mindelan and Alanna of Trebond are legit. Even if Monza comes from a sword and sorcery setting that is basically written to be contrarian to other sword and sorcery settings.

If the system is not a culmination of everything you can do, then what's on your character sheet doesn't matter, so it's just an abstraction. If it is the culmination of everything you can do, then it's evidently inaccurate and thus, again, mere abstraction.
If the system is versatile enough that it can shit out a class based on what some people think, and it evidently can, there is no strongly established reason in this conversation to rule out that the system can produce a class with [Insert arbitrary characteristics] if the same conditions are met for that class.
Your argument is incredulity at the example and restating the example over and over again, because it offends your feelings. You have yet to actually provide a firm reasoning that can debunk the argument made.
Why can't the system produce a class with [Insert Arbitrary Characteristics] if the people believe it should exist, as it clearly does work? Can you make a counter example or in some way prove that all classes are in some way identical to the archetypical framework of progression you seem to believe applies? Why shouldn't hidden classes be on the table, you just seem opposed to them on an emotional basis.

I know I said I wouldn't bite anymore but this is simply too dumb to ignore: "HEY GUYS character sheets are useless it doesn't matter to know if the level 17 wizard can make meteors fall because it doesn't specify how good he is at badminton".
The rest of the post tries to shift the burden of proving that the system can't do something it's never done or been imploed to do, so it isn't really worth answering, but this part was simply too funny.
>>
>>93464179
Based on the perks and items on offer it seems to be based primarily on the original series, but I very much doubt we have enough autism for Rescue Rangers specifically to make anyone care if you wanna go to the other series.

A character sheet for the dward Ainz meets at the start of the dwarf kingdom arc explicitly shows crafting classes and explains why he will never be able to progress past the beginner level runecrafting because he scuffed his build with the Miner class and iirc one or two other classes and hit is level cap and can't gain more levels. Since he presumably needs to be at least 8th level as a runecrafter in order to put two runes on something (following with the standard progression established by how spell tiers work) he's never going to be able to get there because he doesn't have 8 runesmith levels and can't gain anymore levels.

There's also the explain of Neia who completely blows your entire argument out of the water given she dies and gets resurrected by Ainz and *comes back with different with a different class build*. She ended up dropping her apprentice paladin levels (and iirc a few ranger levels) and gained the evangelist class which she explicitly didn't have before the resurrection. That's hard proof the system exists canonically in the new world.

Princess Renner has the genius class, which by WoG is only possessed by like 4 or 5 people on the continent the story takes place on, which lets her arbitrarily gain the abilities of different classes on a set cooldown timer. In order to hide this fact she ended up picking up Actress class levels that let her fake it while her Genius class swaps around whatever specialty it has slotted so she can actually start talking about subjects with some level of expertise. This is explicitly a function of her Genius class which lets her gain the abilities and knowledge of other basic classes and which could not exist unless the System existed to enable it.
>>
>>93464207

Or, you know, an actually sane explanation is that it's some vague potential nonsense and not game system nonsense. Because it doesn't make a lick of difference if you swap out the words levels for potential.

There is a massive difference between being able to make mundane stuff and being able to make supernatural stuff. A lvl 5 smith will never be able to work with mithril or other higher tier materials and will only be able to work with mundane materials. A lvl 15 smith on the other hand can not only work with mithril but can also consistently make things that are just flat out superior to lower level smiths even using the same materials and methods. Gondo fucked himself because he split his focus between multiple different crafting paths. If he'd focused exclusively on one path, like making weapons or making armor or rune smithing, then he'd have been able to create things within that focus that would be considerably superior to what he can do with his non-focused build.
>>
>>93464219
>>93464227

>>
>>93464227
Nta (yes I don't manage not to bite b8, but if that was the case she wouldn't litterally lose the abilities from the class she acquires. She's got a limited amount of "slots" wich isn't how a genius works.
>>
>>93464219
I literally just gave you a canon example with Neia and how she instantly swapped classes as a result of being resurrected and having her build reshuffled. This is canon. You can pretend it's not true all you want but it proves that the system exists in setting and that you are wrong. Then again the fact that we have canon builds for canon characters written by the actual author should also be proof but you're clearing ignoring that too.
>>
>>93464242
Why don't they just improve in a way that doesn't appear on their character sheet?
>>
>>93464264
Because thanks to world item abuse in the past people are fucked and also blessed by a system. But the system massively favors monster races outside of the video game.
>>
>>93464227
It literally isn't "what genius is". There is the Genius class, which the Author has outright stated exists and that only 4 or 5 people have, and then there is the genius "tag" that can be attached to a class that denotes that a person has an extreme affinity for that particular class, like how Nifrea has the class "alchemist (genius)" on his character sheet or how Brain iirc has "Fighter (genius)" on his. Genius the class and genius the class-modifier are two entirely different things.
>>
>>93464237
No, but I am if that helps.
>>
>>93464263
Anon I'm more inclined to believe that the system doesn't exist because of the build reshuffling, since that's another thing that frankly doesn't make sense under the context of an actual video game system rather than a loose estimation like Naruto data books are.
>>
>>93464288
Unfortunately my questions require the jumpmaker.
>>
>>93464263
Builds in Overlord evidently do not change, once you gain levels you can't get rid of them and are actually stuck once you hit your level cap, so if anything that's evidence against the system being real, lol.
>>
>>93464293
Why? You can use reincarnation as a spell as a high level druid to turn someone into something else after they are dead and that changes their stats.
>>
>>93464306
That's typically how reincarnation works yes.
>>
>>93464304
Nobody said builds cannot change. Only that they dont change naturally. There are ways to change your build either via game items or high tier magic
>>
>>93464264
Because without the support of class levels anything they learn will be limited to what is otherwise mundane. A lvl 15 cook could potentially make food that grants buff or heals people but a regular person without those class levels isn't going to be able to do that. Classes let people do supernatural shit beyond the mundane and specialization is critically important. Scuffed builds like Gondo's are the result of people unknowingly wasting their potential by spreading their levels out across non synergistic classes and thus limiting them to mundane stuff because they never manage to advance those classes far enough to start breaking into the supernatural.

But martial arts exist and aren't part of any kind of class advancement.
>>
>>93464304
Dying causes level loss, that's why low level people cannot be resurrected. Neia died, losing five levels, but then Ainz used true resurrection to bring her back. True Resurrection either reduces level loss or prevents it entirely, as a result when Neia came back the five levels she lost from death were restored and got shuffled into the evangelist class. You have been provided with many MANY examples proving the existence of the system in the new world and keep trying to goal-post shift away. The system is canon to the new world no matter how hard you try to deny it.

They do though. Martial arts only start to be possible around lvl 5 and there's a limit on how many martial arts can be used based on how high a level you are, unless you use the "limit break" martial art that lets you use martial arts beyond what you would normally be capable of in exchange for taking damage. Both Climb and Brain display this.

Immagine that tomorrow 13 monster arrives, with them come a leveling system. The leveling system can give you bonus at abilities, catalogued in classess. your normal abilities aren't a class, so you have them but they aren't on your status, only the special abilities you obtain like this are. Somettime some classess adapt themselves to the context, like the priest adapting to a local religion or the dragons being aknoledged classess related to their special kind of magic. Some of these classess, that appear with harsh requirements, like genius, are pretty versatile, like being able to temporarily mimic other, non combatant classess. You are a new worlder, have fun.

Fuck you, kill yourself. I will explain this to you as many times as I have to, you will either surrender or leave, but you will not win this argument because you are wrong.
Classes that are invented are arbitrary, they do not have established limits and you cannot actually provide a reasoned argument for what they can or cannot be due to the innate versatility of the base class system. Any class can be put on anyone with whatever abilities attached, the concept of suboptimal builds is ridiculous. There are abilities that aren't recorded on character sheets people can't read anyway, and they can change at random for reasons that aren't based on anyone's decisions or actions like being reincarnated.
I'm not joking when I say I will drag this out until you fucking leave and never come back, you're wrong and you don't get to have a pleasant time here when you're wrong and don't want to admit to it.

Sorry for being hyperbolic, I do not have OCD, as far as I know, just obsessions, anyway thanks for the suggestion, I already make a build for many jumps but if I don't know the source I can't imagine well what I would do there, wich made me discover some settings but many other I simply give up on.

JJK (Fate/Stay Night)

Origin - Student

Perks
Jujutsu (300)
Rotten Adults
Special Grade Tactics
Pick Me Up (100)
Throwing Hands (200)
Just That Good (300)

Cursed Techniques (+200)
Idle Transfiguration (800)

Drawbacks
Yandere (+200)
Full Restriction (+300)

I'm having a field day fucking around with souls and Fate crap like Homunculi and Servants. I'll purposefully develop Shirou as sword man (helping him by restructuring his body to be great at magic) to cultivate him so that once he's ready I transfigure him into the ultimate sword to offer up to Gilgamesh as a gift. I'll have also turned the other servants into jailbroken versions of themselves that are brainwashed to be loyal to me.

I started with CYOA, but there is a minimal amount of CYOAs relative to jumps, anyway I still haven't had occasion of using my computer, so I couldn't read the new QQ jump, but honestly QQ is my least favorite community for jumps and this particular case isn't even my fetish.

Bought out PRIDE Fighting Championships, and made sure it remained the dominant fighting championship with ONE as it's closest rival instead of letting that snake Dana and the UFC/the various snakes in the boxing industries, especially the Saudis, get their grubby little hands over a perfectly civilised bloodsport. Also got both sponsorships with Waffle House, the most warlike of fast food chains and an excellent venue to scout new talent from.

>>93464650
Absolutely, because you still have to write out everything and decide on your builds to properly ruin your life with Jumpchain. Otherwise that's just maladaptive daydreaming. The easy, quick way to ruin your life is with drugs (including alcohol) which don't require you to allocate 1000 CP before deciding to open your mouth and swallow something inadvisable.

>>93464659
Wikiwalking has really helped me figure out, like, how much power I need to tip the scales of Moorecock's Balance fully towards Order (no shut the fuck up Moorecock Order Good) or preempt (the entity that subsumed) Lord English in Sburb or figure out how real the entities in Night in the Woods even are. Plus I read widely so I know some stuff like the "weak point" of the Dark One in the Wheel of Time. But I've been told I read faster than most, so it might not work for everyone. And of course there's shit like Terra Hypnagogica that doesn't have a wiki where I just have to eyeball what happens when a pandimensional biblically accurate human with multiple cosmic principles goes up against a void nightmare (before Kirby gets involved)

Can do, thanks anons. I'm not opposed to dupes, I just feel weird and grody doing it myself. Related, my brother (who introduced me to jumpchain originally) is planning to make a Ghostbusters jump since the only one that exists currently is old and fucking dogshit, but he's too thin-skinned for chan culture and will be putting it up on reddit if/when he makes it.
>>93464573
Importantly, PokeRogue is a game in webapp form, completely unrelated to the Pokemon Rogue romhack, and uses some variant rules to standard Pokemon. You pick starters (and any unevolved Pokemon can be a starter in subsequent runs if you've caught it before) and then go on a wave-based roguelike journey that ends immediately if you ever lose (much like Rogue), battling (semi-randomly determined) trainers, Gym Leaders, E4, and an evil Team. After you beat the Champion, though, you emerge into a realm like Astral Chaos from Soul Calibur, filled with Paradox Pokemon; it's implied that the world has already been destroyed and Eternatus (or some even higher power) has been keeping everyone in a simulated time loop for millennia-- for Eternatus' part, in order to cultivate you into a worthy challenge for itself.
>>
>>93464713
Yes, I have wikiwalked many settings, for example both of my builds for destiny the darkness and elden ring were done without having ever played the sources, and I too read quickly, wich helps.

The rival...
>>
>>93464713
Drugs and alcohol require me to have money to spend on it, and I'm too damn tired to put in the effort to steal money for either of those. Jumpchain is my excuse to waste time until I die, which is hopefully going to come soon, painful and or not. Too much of a coward to end it myself, so condemning myself to a painful wasting death seems appropriate. At least in the meantime I can dream of a chain. What a time to be alive.

Well, yes but I happen to have a Kirby build from my own Kirby and the Forbidden Land jump too so it's a question of how quickly we sweep the setting once I signal the actual Kirby to join in on beating some cosmic nightmares + I have some resource generation/terraforming projects I want to complete before I get serious. There is, in fact, a point to the bear-based Dark Tower I want to erect as my means of defeating Viralborgia and it is not just my Chinese genetics defaulting to committing cruel and unusual acts against bears.
>>
>>93464765
It helps that Kirby is a well of infinite power that casually breaks physics and is bent incorrigibly towards comfy (and good as a consequence, because evil is uncomfy). He's an eight-inch-tall babby that elbow drops the physically manifest concept of ontological evil itself for stealing his cake.

Tbh I'd be more afraid of macroceramics and macrosilicates in cyberpunk settings, they're so cavailiar about jamming chips and robot arms and shit in people and the corpos are so universally evil I just have to believe everyone is being slowly poisoned from bits breaking off.

I mean look at what the rippadoc did to David to jam that Sandy into him in Edgerunners, you cannot tell me that is hygienic.

>>93464792
That is also true, and why I don't want to endanger my TACTICAL WAR ASSET until I make absolutely sure every Viralborgian devious enough to hide in a tree and drop galaxy-sized rotten apples on his head until he takes a nap is otherwise distracted.

>>93464790
Unfortunately, there is no jump set in the Carboniferous Period, and you cannot therefore introduce the giant spider chemicals to a population of spiders that are already giant.

However, Monster Hunter does have at least one spider-based monster, so that should probably work.

>>
>>93464779
It's simple. If anon's brother was already into jumpchain and knows that the reddit community exists, then obviously they already lurk at least reddit, if not both reddit and here. It is obvious that this isn't a comparison between 4chan and all of reddit, it's a comparison between /jc/ and the r/jumpchain or whatever it is called. That's why I don't see any point in trying to convince him that we're somehow not as bad as whatever scared him away in the first place. If he likes reddit over here sure whatever, stay over there. At least he knows he's thin skinned.
>>
>>93464789
Are we even sure those sensibilities are actually superior? Just because they're easily replicable doesn't make them logically unassailable.

Kane Pixels had the right idea. (Well, right idea, not necessarily right execution. His new videos were neat right up until the giant showed up)

He was a casual CYOA enjoyer who discovered Jumpchain through SJ's works and told me about it as a neat thing he found and was enjoying. I checked here for a community before anywhere else because 4chan usually has one, reddit is full of fags, and I've always heard that SB is even more autistic than SV (which I only ever went to for a quest and was itself full of autists); he decided he didn't like 4chan after I linked him to a jump update here, both because of the culture and unfamiliarity/dislike for the site interface.

Why do the Japanese seem to be the only ones capable of atmospheric horror anymore? Horror 101 is that the more of the moster you see, the less scary it is, but modern western horror is all gore and jumpscares. These days, it doesn't even seem to intend to be scary, but funny and memeable for streamers to shriek at.
I choose to blame FNAF for all of this. Fucking zoomers.

Hey I'm reading Ricrod's High School DxD jump and Gift Of Jumper looks interesting, Are there any examples of this that any anons that are versed in the series can post please?

>Gift Of Jumper (200cp)
Look it up, almost everything can be alive and obtain a human form. The world
of the supernatural gives life like candies are given on Halloween. Such powers
aren’t exactly rare, but neither are they common even among magic beings, so
you at least have something to boast about. As you are quite capable of granting
inert artifacts the gift of life by pumping some of your magic into them. The end
result will vary depending on the amount of magic you give, from a sentient
sword, an animal alt-form, a humanoid version, etc. Details are up to you
>>
>>93464911
Shut up you retrard.
>>
>>93464904
I do. It was a serious answer, anon. The condition for beating the game is to win, not to win using (weapon I arbitrarily define as being fair for the game but will then seethe about being underpowered when I need a doppelganger AND Igon to distract Bayle long enough to cheapshot him from halfway across the arena)
>>
>>93464893
Malenia isn't a bleed build though, she's a rot build. Which, by the way, sucks and is not meta. Mogh is the chad PvP lord.
>>
>>93464925
Nta, what's the best build for turning Elden Ring into a Final Fantasy 7 style futuristic setting?
>>
>>93464911
>At least in 4chan you can call a retard a retrard.
This is why I can't use any other site. Its all "No I didn't insult you at all. Oh that? That wasn't an implication that you aren't sapient and are undeserving of oxygen, and that you even think that says more about you than me!"
>>
>>93464933
That's true, but Malenia has so many Rot buffs she is effectively playing a bleed build. If Mogh wanted to be truly meta he'd get a spinning glaive or something to do a bargain bin Waterfowl Dance that also benefits from bleed.

Nah the true TRUE degenerate metabuild cancer in Elden Ring is multi-status stacking. Bleed +Frost +Fire +Poison +Sleep is a thing you can do and it's actually like having a living crab shoved up your anus, because the Frost debuffs you and does damage, the fire resets the frost build up so it instantly hits you again, the bleed also hits you for hideous damage, the poison does DoT, and the sleep stuns you for critical attacks.

There is nothing to get angry at a redditfag about. They have the worst jumpmakers, they have obnoxious artists, but most of them don't actually do anything. Like the jumpmakers that people hate, burkess, dirge, trouble and whatnot, when do they actually post if at all? But SB is full of people who spend more time coming up with stupid opinions and trying to act high and mighty about it. To me all the redditfags are the same, they make terrible jumps, discourage people from using their jumps, and they're completely forgettable otherwise.

What's the difference between a Dragonborn and a Draconian in D&D?
>>
>>93465019
Dragonborn are, IIRC, blessed by Bahamut for being good boys and girls. Draconians, on the other hand, are Krynn/Dragonlance-specific and are made by corrupting dragon eggs. The first ones used Metallic dragon eggs, which made the resulting Draconians Evil. However, at some later point, they started doing it to Chromatics, but that made the resulting Draconians Good because you're still corrupting them away from their natural state.

As likely as any degenerate. Modern society does function, more or less, despite the presence of lictors and shit. >If the user makes eye contact with someone they will slowly begin to be encased in crystal so long as they maintain eye contact. Until the process is complete these crystals are simple enough to shake off with physical effort, though once complete the target is stuck inside a very tough crystal. In the crystal, the user is trapped in an idealized fantasy world in their own mind with their memories altered as this having always been their reality. They can realize the world is an illusion through rare logical inconsistencies and should they figure it out they can choose to wake up, at which point the crystal will shatter and they'll be free. They do not age and lack biological needs while in the crystal. They can also be freed from the crystal by outsiders shattering it, though it would take force greater than a tank to get in.

I’m the cosmic principle of tyranny, of course I don’t think it’s based. It doesn’t go nearly far ENOUGH to compel behaviour. Where are the Malfean punishment spheres? Where are the Metropolis-style gulfs in space where stepping one foot can age someone by a century? Where are the Safeguards crawling out of every corner to gravity beam somebody for littering? It’s not sufficiently hostile unless the city can actually eat dissidents alive and repurpose their resources for public works.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much of a dick move is it to cast an illusion on someone to make them think that everything they've gone through before was all of a dream, as a part of a training program to help them counter illusions and see holes in them? Honestly I think that's been my biggest learning curve, just finally realising there is no system just a bunch of buzzwords like "chaos" and "demon" and "geas" in high fantasy. Because while I sort of have an instinct for what's going on when I first started looking at the things my childhood exposure to chinese medicine and folklore made me repeatedly go no, no that's not how it works, there are TWELVE standard meridians not SIXTEEN and they do NOT turn you into a celestial object if you poke at them like that. And just accept that dual cultivation is mana transfer by other means instead of having anything to do with the canon of taoist sexual practices.
>>
>>93465307
>Being massively faster than light as well
That wouldn't have helped. Galeem's light nuke covered the entire universe and the opening IIRC outright states the universe "was crushed by the hands of Galeem". Kirby only escaped because he literally used the Warp Star to temporarily blip out of the universe whilst Galeem destroyed it.
>>
>>93465831
Put quite simply Monarchs should have ascended. They're too strong for Cradle and their very existence on the planet disrupts the natural order. But, they don't give a shit. Because staying on Cradle let's them be the big fish in a little pond instead of relative nobodies in the wider universe. Their greed and lust for power manifests Hunger Aura, which fucks everything up. The Dreadgods were part of a failed experiment to try and harness and control Hunger Aura. There you go.
>>
>>93465884
>Someone listing a Sonic feat where he uses speed to escape the universe in 3...2...1...

>>
>>93465881
There is a canon of taoist sexual practices? Like a taoist kama sutra?
>>
>>93465831
Monarchs NEED to ascend - they're too strong for the planet and should have fucked off to the next rung up ages ago. But because they refuse to for any variety of reasons but mostly so they can maintain their veneer of power by punching down, they disrupt the planet's balance. Their sheer greed, stubbornness, pride, ego and refusal to let go manifest Hunger Madra which poisons the world. The Dreadgods were the result of attempts to harness Hunger Madra and are as strong as/stronger than the Monarchs due to the very existence of the Monarchs creating the thing that sustains them.
>>
>>93465893
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taoist_sexual_practices

Well, in the sense that there are period-accurate accounts of Greek mythology. Which is to say that just like we mostly heard the Athenian side of the story, there are various texts that have been collated and studied for a while until there is a rough consensus about exactly how the mana potions I described ages ago could have worked.

Incidentally, Jumpchain potentially resetting you into a virgin every jump is actually an advantage in the Taoist understanding of sex because it recharges you and your companions' vitality every jump.

>>93465890

>>
>>93465926
Ricrod if you have re spec is there some way to choose for it to be a subspecies?
>>
>>93465945
The former. They shouldn't be fucking around on such a low power world now that they've outgrown it and should have left long ago. Of course, there's nothing saying they couldn't return if they wanted to post-ascension, since the Abidan can interact with Iterations much lower in power than themselves just fine but none of the Monarchs WANT to ascend because they'd lose all the accumulated holdings and power dynamics they've established on Cradle.

The entire problem with the Dreadgods pushing their shit in is entirely caused by the fact that the Monarchs plainly refuse to leave. If all of the Monarchs left RIGHT NOW, the well of Hunger Madra would dry up and the Dreadgods would starve to death without it to sustain them or at the very least would be weakened enough for the other forces on Cradle to finally kill them for good.
>>
>>93465977
Not him, but if you take the Enlightned user perk, you could probably unlock it fairy quickly.
>>
>>93466029
Alright, so the problem is the fact that they are literally too strong for the Realm to withstand their existence anymore and Hunger Madra is basically a symptom of the fact that they're causing reality to crack and rip apart the longer they stay there. Achieving enlightenment or the like wouldn't stop the production of Hunger Madra, only moving to a more sturdy reality will do so.
>>
>>93466085
Basically. Though it's more like "literally just get them off the fucking planet". Cradle's name is VERY literal. The Monarchs or anyone who reaches a similar level aren't meant to stick around on the planet after reaching a sufficient tier of power, they're meant to fuck off into the wider universe and leave it behind. The Monarchs don't want to do that because they've become too focused on maintaining their powerbases and don't want to be small fish in a big ocean.
>>
>>93466131
Would colonizing other planets in the solar system, or nearby solar systems, reduce the Hunger Madra? If I remember correctly they're normally supposed to just straight-up ascend to a higher level reality, but would leaving the actual planet for a different one work as well?
>>
>>93466135
NTA, universes aren't real in this setting. Stars are wallpaper, it's just a single planet and other realities which are themselves just singular planets and wallpaper
>>
>>93466135

Anon is bullshitting you. Iterations vary in size, but the one in Cradle is a full sized universe with galaxies and everything. And most Iterations are the size of full universes, which the Abidan patrol across the Way to keep Fiends of Chaos from corrupting them and destroying them.
>>
>93466181
Why do shitposters say shit like this when it's obviously not true?
>>
Two different thoughts are competing in my mind to deal with the whole "Monarchs break the setting" problem. First of all-if the problem is the fact that Monarchs are too powerful for the setting to sustain, wouldn't it be possible for Monarchs to artificially limit/suppress their powerlevels and thus prevent damage to the setting by their existence? And on the other hand, the fact that Monarchs grow too powerful for the world to endure means that if something were to actively STRENGTHEN the world, then it'd also serve to stop the production of Hunger Madra right?

https://abidan-archives.fandom.com/wiki/The_Way_and_The_Worlds#List_of_Iterations

>Iterations
>Source — Excerpted from Will Wight’s blog
>Any universe that the Abidan recognize as capable of sustaining human existence and living out a complete life-cycle. The Iterations are described as fruits that hang from a vine that links them all together; this vine is known as the Way.

>Every Iteration has a destined progression. A world is born, it lives out its existence, and then it quietly dies, breaking into fragments. These fragments float through the void, crashing and combining randomly until they form into a new universe.

>They are called "Iterations" because the thousands of universes currently in existence are thought to be different versions of the same original world or worlds, spun out in different combinations again and again for eternity. Even the Abidan Judges do not know when this cycle began.

Retard.
>>
>>93466186
Monarchs aren't damaging reality in the sense you're thinking of. If they were, the Abidan would have purged them since that could risk the Iterations stability or lead to Fiends breaking in. Monarchs literally just produce Hunger Madra because they're too strong for Cradle to support anymore. They need to ascend or otherwise leave because that's the purpose of Cradle. Them sticking around is unnatural.
>>
>>93466191
Yeah and the iteration of Cradle is just Cradle. It's just a single fucking planet dude
>>
Good night thread.
>>
>>93466191
Why do you read this and try to fool other people into thinking it means an actual universe exists?
>>
>>93466195
Okay, but that doesn't change the basic proposition. If the problem is they're too strong for Cradle to sustain, then
>Why not artificially lower their strength?
>Why not increase the strength of Cradle?
>>

Cradle, as in the book itself, has characters outright mention galaxies and stars existing. Stop being intentionally retarded.
>>
>>93466191
As an absolute teriary I can tell you that that doesn't seem minimally to imply that the universes have the size of ours, but wikidiving I find this that suggest it.
>An Iteration is a galaxy, or universe in some cases, with an habited planet.
>>93466201
Again I know nothing about the setting but it seems more the cradle doesn't want people too powerful, rather that it cannot handle them, it shouldn't.
>>
>>93466201
>Why not artificially lower their strength?
Because it's a metaphysics issue, not just a matter of power. Cradle shouldn't be hosting Monarchs, the point is to nurture them up to that stage then they leave. Most people at that level of power are 'meant' to join the Abidan at that point.
>>
>>93466218
Iterations are all full-sized universes once full grown. Will's latest series, the Last Horizon, is even set in an Iteration that depicts an entire galactic scale empire of magic users and features intergalactic threats as a major point of the series. The only time Iterations are any smaller is if they're still in the process of developing, such as an Iteration where humanity or sapient life hasn't developed yet or if they're fragments of an original Iteration, since those are smaller due to being broken up. As far as we know, fragments aren't naturally created and only occur when one of the Judges not named Ozriel has to destroyan Iteration. The fight with Daruman also features him splitting an entire universe in half during the battle.
>>
Sounds to me like the Cradle jumps need some chainfail conditions similar to what the Esoterrorists WIP had when it was still based.
>>
>>93466201
Several Iterations have a specific nature to them. Haven's nature was to be a prison for the Mad King Daruman. Asylum (the Iteration where the Elder Empire series is set) is that it acts as a seal keeping the Great Elders, the highest class of Fiends and peers to the Judges in their full power, restricted at a 'mortal' level and prevents them from leaving. Cradle's is that, as Suriel puts it, "it is where they keep the infants". It's not a matter of power, it's that Cradle is meant to only keep you there until you reach the level of a Monarch then you're meant to ascend past it. It is the baby zone, kindergarten for eventual gods basically.
>>
So what comes after Monarch, anyways? How does one cultivate further and get to slicing entire universes in half?
>>
>>93465752
Wait this fag is here too? HA
>>
>>93464476
Glad someone remembers good old Trigun!
>>
>>93466320
Monarchs are the peak of the power system in Cradle's Iteration. Once you reach Monarch, you move onto joining the Abidan, which can push you into the levels of power needed to take on Silverlords and the like, the sort of things who can destroy planets on scales similar to Cradle. All of the founding members of the Abidan who became the Judges (the guys who can destroy Iterations and fight against peers who can cut apart universes) ostensibly started out as Monarchs on Cradle originally, with Ozriel being the strongest of those.

Other Iterations have their own power/magic systems and their own equivalent tiers. Presumably a more well-developed Iteration could allow for a tier beyond Monarch preceding ascension, but that's unverified.
>>
>>93466335
...So what power system do the Abidan have? How do THEY cultivate further?
>>
>>93466320
>>93466335
It should be mentioned that the current Wolf was mentioned to be able to depopulate entire worlds even before achieving her iteration's equivalent of Sage, while Daruman conquered his whole iteration and was capable of fighting against beings called planet eaters. The Reaper Vroshir battle showed powers in use far beyond what any on Cradle could ever hope to achieve. It is also established that even Oz has grown massively post-ascension than what he was prior to ascending, as WoW is that if pre-ascension Oz tried to fight all of the Monarchs at once, hed lose. So it does in fact vary depending on the iteration. Monarchs are just the pinnacle of what Cradle can output.

Abidan don't use a cultivation system. What we know of is that the Abidan is an organization of incredibly powerful individuals that have signed on with what is called the Eledari Pact. We don't know a whole lot of specifics of the Pact, but it seems to tie the member's of the Abidan closer to the Way and also limit their ability to act within the confines of a given iteration in some super vague way. The Abidan itself is split into seven legions, each legion headed by a Judge who is hella strong. The Hounds, The Titans, The Ghosts, The Spiders, The Foxes, The Phoenixes, and the Wolves. Each legion is further defined by their specific role they play in the defense of worlds. From information gathering and communications, to directly fighting Fiends, to advance scouting to track the movements of Chaos and find new iterations. Each role is critically important to helping the Abidan locate worlds in need and either intervene to save them or evacuate the local population.

They are effectively the Willverse SCP Foundation. You get recruited by the Abidan by being a powerful individual from your given iteration they scout and induct into their membership, and you grow stronger due to vague metaphysics bullshit and their hyper-advanced magitek.

>>
Did we hit image limit?
>>
>>93466387
Well that would be the case, but the Abidan have an outpost there to ensure anyone who reaches the level of power where Cradle's iteration starts pushing them to leave has a safety net if the Abidan scout them to be a good fit. Of course, this was before the events of the series since Suriel is genuinely worried Chaos might creep in to Cradle's iteration since they can't focus on keeping it safe whilst fighting the Vroshir, so during your time in the jump, you might not have that safety net. Also the other Monarchs are probably going to try and kill you if you show signs of becoming a peer.

>someone on SB mentioned entertaining the benefactor as a priority
>yet the people here hate it
Damn, we really are no better than SB.
>>
>>93466406
If you want to do that you have fun with it. Being entertaining to some higher being may make sense to you but we have jumps where it would be so boring watching paint dry would be a thrill so either its not a high priority or the being in question can be outright riveted by watching a schinaman sit in a cave till he has a shell of minerals calcified over his entire body to look like a statue.
>>
>>93466451
Or you know, the omnipotent being can skip to the good parts, work on other things, etc. Like happens in any decent narrative. We don't observe the 99% of the time when characters are sleeping, eating, shitting, or just doing whatever between the action. In such a scenario, no media would be entertaining, and your criticism would apply to literally every jump. Watching someone sling a few fireballs at goblins wouldn't make up for thousands of hours of basically nothing if we assume she watches every second.
>>
>>93466451
The exact wording of it, in the Pokemon jump is
>So, I have this hobby of watching people go on adventures. Unfortunately, with the way the Earth is completely mapped out and the lack of space program funding, the last great adventure I saw was James Cameron’s submarine jaunt. Thus, I am beset by an utter lack of good material.
>I am running out of good material. I want to see a story of adventure and excitement. This is impossible in this world. So what I’m going to do is take your life and and send it to a different world!
>>
>>93466406
acknowledging the benefactor inside the narration is always cringe.
>>
>>93466530
So why doesn't she watch the other worlds that apparently exist?
>>
>>93466539
>Why send someone from your world to the world of Pokemon instead of following someone already there?
>Because this way is much more fun.
>>
>>93466451
Because that's the foundation of why you interact with settings instead of sitting in a medically induced coma in your Warehouse. Going through a chain having adventures is an absurdity. No reasonable person would ever act that way. The rule explains both why your benefactor even wants to do this absurd thing in the first place and why you would bother doing anything at all other than waiting 10 years for even more power when death will permanently cripple your overall power level and banish you back to a boring mundane Earth forever.
>>
>>93466451
>>93466588
...you do know that the benefactor is (You), right?

That's who you have to keep entertained, and for that whatever works, works. There can be fun in following the canon story while just fixing a couple things that bother you, and there can be fun in completely ignoring the plot and going out to play in the wider setting. Some jumps you'll want to play each and every day, and others are there just for a single cool fight scene you imagined once.

As long as (You) are having fun with it, the chain keeps going. That's all there is to it, no need to overthink things.
>>
>>93466712
Yes and thats why people trying to rules lawyer it is retarded. It doesnt matter. Trying to put others down for saying they use different rules or dont use the whole benefactor setup in their chains is stupid.

Does anybody know of anything like Waifu Catalog's 1-10 rating system for settings? I'd like to do a chain of escalating danger/power. What time is it where you're all at? This is important for jumpmaking purchases because as The Far Roofs inches closer towards us, I've had a lot of time to dwell on what could potentially be a small yet drastic change to an old jump of mine, and I don't want the majority to feel left out of the decision. A decision I'm 90% sure isn't an issue for most of you but a decision my autism compels me to be fair. Not to mention the conflict of interest from the proposed change making my own build for the jump much, much simpler.

To not be coy: The change I'm considering is for Nobilis: Not limiting you to the set of Divine Attributes you can pick as an Imperator, and just letting you DIY your own Imperator build out of the canon Divine Attributes (and tentatively, since Jenna has mentioned Zu probably getting unique things letting you fanwank your own as long as they're not in excess of the others /and christ yes I know that's an arbitrary statement to make about divine attributes/, so I'ma say: You can, under this framework have your bullshit narrative divinity as long as it's not significantly advantageous over any of the canon ones. AND YES that means you can fanwank away 2 of the listed Zu attributes for at least 2 types of Unique Zu Shit, judging from Strategists as a framework, until such time as Zu get canon divine attributes). This is mainly because Chuubo has a few characters like Jasper Irinka being a little weirdo hybrid of angel and Warmain(?), certain fae canonically being the result of Imperator-mortal breeding, certain Abhorrent Weapons moonlighting as kaiju (as will be made clear in The Far Roofs), that one girl in The Night-Bird's Feather who started off as a regular girl that just happened to have some macguffins as well as a very shitty World-Breaker's Hand who eventually hatches into a Strategist and so on and so forth.

You can still be fluffed as a being of Hell/Heaven/Ninuan/whatever, you just get to set your own statspread.

Thoughts?

It's just that. Well.

I think the tiering system for the worlds would be less of an issue if they didn't affect your starting budget as much. There's a few outliers in the waifu prices as well, but most of them are in the player's favor unlike the worlds which are at least evenly split in how much more/less you have relative to the actual danger one might face if working with a super-light build (danger rating 4~6, or 150~350 credits before modifiers). So if you're going for cheese, then it encourages taking an easy world put in the upper tiers so you can make a bullshit build to start with before going to the world(2) you actually wanted to visit via missions or normal storytelling.

>Found a hidden gem in Fallout Resource Wars.
>The drill sergeant perk in the Soldier line not only lets you teach at training boosted speed, it lets you teach supernatural abilities you possess to people who'd otherwise lack the capacity for them.
>>Drill Sergeant (200cp, discount Soldier) - If there's one person that everyone hates in the armed forces, it's most assuredly the drill sergeant, those wonderful people that are in charge of whipping new recruits into an actual fighting force. Whether you use those same methods, or take a softer approach, you are an excellent trainer, allowing you to quickly pass along any skills you may possess to those under your care, even those beyond what may be usually considered mundane, regardless of if they should even be capable of it.
>Cheapest damn 'teach other people your perks' ability I've ever seen.

I tend to notice it with Exalted a lot because I’m a fan of the setting. Waifu Catalog gives you 2500 points if you go to Exalted, and then being a Solar is only 50 points, the Scarlet Empress is 100, and waifuing/becoming Queen Merela herself is 1000.
>>
>>93467957
I imagine that it's a question of philosophical perspective on what Jumpchain is.
If Jumpchain is a writing prompt, then you want to optimize for what's narratively interesting, which incentivizes you to avoid writing yourself into a corner by becoming too powerful too quickly.
If Jumpchain is a game, though, the natural tendency is to want to win at it, which means picking out what's 'meta' to become as strong as possible as quickly as possible.
Similarly, if Jumpchain is a self-insert experience that you, personally would be going on if you were isekai'd tomorrow, it just makes logical sense to optimize for safety, as you have vast cosmic power and immortality on the line.
For the former, naff jumpmaking with inappropriate or unbalance perks is a problem, while for the latter two, it's an exploit to be taken advantage of.
>>
>>93467948
>>93468041
NTA but it's worth pointing out that more recent versions of Waifu Catalog have a system that cuts down either your ability to earn credits or your starting budged considerably. You can't just buy all the stuff you want with an Exalted (or other high tier world) start if you want to actually earn a good income.

>>93467987
There are some divine attributes, such as Allegorical, that can explicitly yoink others in part or total. And some, like the Deceivers' version of Sealed, that let you perfectly dupe an Imperator including their powers. It really depends on the powerset you have. I am thinking of buying this Item in Forgotten Realms, which comes in 3 tiers.
>Belt of Magnificence
>This sparkling metal belt projects power and authority. The belt adds a +2, +4 or +6 enhancement bonus to the wearer's Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma scores.
>Strong transmutation; CL 18th; Craft Wondrous Item, bear's endurance, bull's strength, cat's grace, eagle's splendor, fox's cunning, owl's wisdom; Price 25,000 gp (+2), 100,000 gp (+4) or 200,000 gp (+6).
So in jump after discounts the +2 version would cost 75CP, the +4 version would cost 250CP, and the +6 version would cost 500CP.

>>93468388
By and large, they don't. A very rare set of mortal beings, by dint of grand achievements on the level of somehow killing an Imperator (Helen of Troy did it by morale boosting Troy, the most glorious city in Nobilis Earth's history, so much they somehow felled a Lord of Dark. Helen was also the most beautiful woman ever. It was a beauty stack overflow error-powered murder, implicitly a hack that leveraged the very Estate of Beauty as a weapon, a chance that would basically never happen again), get offered the chance to become a Noble (according to 2e there have only been 3 times in history where mortals somehow managed to bullshit Imperators to death). The protag of The Night-Bird's Feather was kinda mentored by a Strategist and brought to the Bleak Academy where after studying the void for a while, she cracked open and became a Strategist bird. In some unpublished 2e material the pinnacle of alchemy is being able to alchemically manifest-at great cost and effort-an Imperial Miracle; it's unclear if that's still canon.

Like I said, by and large they don't. But if a miraculous being wants it to happen, it can.

Different kind of bad. Amber doesn't really have the power levels of Nobilis or even Scion, but it says its setting is the "real" center of the multiverse, and it allows people to travel across the multiverse. Apparently adding that it's just the center of the local multiverse and saying that you can only travel the local multiverse but not visit other settings (like you have with MtG jumps, Invincible and probably others) would be nerfing and cause shitpost.

Do you mean legal trouble from infringing on basically all copyright? Because unless THE GACHA brings the waifus to real life, I don't think Foundation / other anomalous groups would care. Maybe they'd try to look where this one guy is getting the money from or something.

Waifus start pouring out of the screens of all devices that have THE GACHA installed. People coming out of screens is obviously not normal, so someone is going to call 911, if even because they know they don't have that many goddamned roommates. From there, the Foundation is told. They send out a lot of kill/capture teams because this is obviously a Keter-level anomaly. MC&D tries to secure at least one device. Depending on whether or not the waifus just look like them or actually have their abilities, the teams may or may not eventually succeed. Some O5 fucker makes the call and WMDs are broken out and SCP-2000 is activated. This may or may not actually work.
Either way, if the Foundation can, they will never stop hunting you.

I will never understand why people get lost hiking unless you count outside forces such as animals or getting shanked. Like you know the general area you are in or presumably have a map, if on a trail its even easier. If not on a trail you can figure it out pretty easy just through landmarks and the direction you are headed. And everyone has a phone now days, keep moving and your signal will eventually work.

His dad killed himself the village ostracizing him over his decision to put his team above the mission. Kakashi starts doing the exact opposite of his dad, and the village starts ostracizing him too. What's your point?
>>
>>93470537
The reason Kumo has the advntage on Konoha is that Hiruzen is a coward who doesn't threaten back after discovering that the diplomatic delegation tried to kidnap the heir of one of their greater clans and Kumo tries to play victim.
>>
>>93470582
Worse, they outright execute members of one of the most important families to appease them.
>>
>>93470572
No you idiot. You're using filler that a rando writer wrote that contradicts the original manga, yes that shit is stupid but it's not like kishimoto wrote it.
Might as well use headcanon to assert shit, thats more honest.
>>
>>93470582
Honestly that's just a symptom of the real problem, which is that Konoha has been unchallenged for so long that they've come to view themselves as invincible. And being invincible, they think they should hold themselves to a higher moral standard and have started to delude themselves about what they really are. Which has put them at a disadvantage against Kumo, who doesn't suffer from the same delusion and are willing to do absolutely anything to increase their own power even if it's horrific and immoral. In turn, this has resulted in Konoha steadily becoming weaker and weaker while Kumo rapidly gets stronger and stronger. Until you reach the point where Kumo pulls that shit precisely because they're absolutely confident that Konoha both can and will do nothing about it.
>>

Speedscaling is the dumbest and most inconsistent part of powerscaling.

When you look at the WoD mage spheres on the wiki are the standard powers mentioned examples of what you can do at that level, what you can do without needing to work any actual magick, something else?

>>
>>93470679
I do not understand. What are you trying to ask here?
>>
>>93470672
Well if you believe the powerscalers somewhere near lightspeed.
If you take a more realistic view we know it took three days for an elite team to run from konoha to suna so since we don't have any good maps you have to make a lot of guesses. I have always assumed they aren't going any faster than 100 mph in short bursts and for sustained travel no more than 50ish mph.
>>
The sad fact of Naruto is that, even if you achieve world peace, you still have to deal with the aliens.
>>
>>93470679
Everything you do with the Spheres is Magick. The powers at each dot are the new things you can do with your Magick when you learn that dot.
>>
>>93470725
Aliens just need biggatons. World peace is a harder thing.
>>
>>93470711
So if I look up the Life sphere on the whitewolf wiki there is a list of standard powers for each dot a mage has in the life sphere; are those examples of the power/limits of what can be done with that many dots in the sphere, basic powers you get for having that many dots in the sphere, or something else I'm not getting?

Asking for reference to the oWoD Mage jump.
>>
>>93470711
He's asking if the standard powers of a WoD mage are magical or not.
>>
>>93470679
Without looking at the wiki: Anything you're doing with Sphere is Magick by definition. You can certainly get creative with (esp. combinations of) them, though; at Prime 10 you're basically a creator god.
>>
>>93470737
Those are what that level of enlightenment can allow you to do in that spheres area of knowledge if you can pass the rolls needed for the spell you are casting. They are examples of spells you can potentially cast. As long as you don't fuck up and botch your roll.

I still think it's pretty dumb but will try to help regardless, Kakashi is notorious for having split a lightning with his raikiri but he did it before the start of the story so we can't truly know how it went, and we know that aa natural lightning is one of the best move of Sasuke, that Itachi could counter only with the Susanoo, since he wasn't fast enough to dodge it. Haku can teleport through his mirror but the attacks are slower, towards the end the raikage is moved through a jutsu that move him as light, showing that normally they're slower, and the best speed feat is Gai bending space through his speed.

I would be absolute dogshit at harry potter magic. I do not like wands, the swish and flicks and inflection of words need to be pretty close or the spell not only may not go off but it can also do different thibgs than you want. Not to mention your wand can just be a tempermental asshole.
