Tell me /jc/, which way does she spin?
Besides A System of Your Own from Solo Leveling, are there any jumps with options that lets you improve a specific power and/or system from a different jump? Either overtime like A System of Your Own, or just a one time boost from “importing” it? I think it might be neat to do a chain focusing on one thing I keep powering up.
Friendly reminder that Sheev Palpatine is Based.
Reposting the jump. Just fixed the typos that were pointed out in the last version.
>>93483116Gene's merge jump has something for improving powers by combining them. Not sure if that's quite what you're looking for.
>>93483123Thanks for the jump Gene. Time to become an autistic mute powerwasher!
>>93483117Nah, he's cringe and ugly.
>>93483123What setting needs the gentle touch of a fine power wasker the most?
>>93483117Not nearly as based as this dude.
>>93483148The Secret World. You need to powerwash away all the Filth.
>>93483148Doesn't the Magnus Archive have a god of filth? It'd probably help somewhat there.
>>93483148From a certain perspective that's literally the entire plot of Super Mario Sunshine.
>>93483173The Corruption, yes. Though it's also the Power that represents the fear of moral decay, hidden dark secrets, corruption in a philosophical sense and more. Can't exactly wash away that level of grime physically.
>>9348314840k to piss off Nurgle
>>93483186But what if...you could?>MAKE IT ALL SHINE - 600WPIt’s funny how many problems in this world are solved with a glorifiedsuper soaker. Going forward, you’ll find a frankly impossible amount ofproblems can be resolved by cleaning. A family falling apart? Watch theirangst melt away along with all the bird poop on their roof. Crime runningrampant? Just make the city a more pleasant place to live. The destructionof the human race due to forces beyond our control? There’s no promiseyou’ll finish in time, or know what specifically needs to be cleaned, butenough cleaning can theoretically solve even this calamity… somehow.
>>93483201Then enjoy being the unpaid janny for the entire multiverse I guess, sucker.
>>93483148Fallout, those assholes never clean anything even though there are loads of pre-war cleaning products available.

Xenoblade Chronicles X was a fun and cool game. And we have a jump for it.What did you guys do there?
>>93483191Polish that terminator armor until it shines!
>>93483225Never played the game and never read the jump. Don't think I've ever played any of the Xeno-series actually. What's it about?
>>93483148Poptropica
Random thought I had, what's the bare minimum amount of perks do you guys think a jump should have to be accepted?
>>93483234NTA but Earth gets caught in the crossfire between two alien races, humans evacuate before Earth goes kaboom and have to resettle on a distant planet where the wildlife is all dinosaurs and JRPG monsters and shit.I didn't like it nearly as much as the other 3 Xenoblade games but some people really like it for some reason.
Owlcat Rogue Trader jump when?
>>93483268You know the rules anon, chop chop
>>93483268Neverever. IIRC Val talked about it a while back.
>>93483234Earth got caught in the middle between two warring alien empires, and got destroyed, and humanity escaped on a bunch of colony ships that went in random directions across space. The on you're on crash lands on a weird planet, now you have to survive and carve out a life for your fleet of surviving humans. Unfortunately the ship broke apart during athmospheric entry, and the main Lifehold, supposedly containing thousands of human lives on it, went missing. So in addition to settling the planet you have to find the Lifehold before the life support systems fail. Also, a splinter fleet of the evil alien empire from said conflict followed you to Earth and wants to kill you, so go fuck them up too and steal away the lesser races they enslaved to work for you instead. Also the music is pretty rad
>>93483268https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ux0YNqhaw0I
>>93483275Nein, my playthrough died to bugs in Commorragh and I never started a new one. I wouldn't be able to make a proper jump for it.
>>93483263>>93483281One of the factions is space mafia iirc, and the progenitor gods of their species put a killcode to their entire race inside humanities genetic code. That's why they chase after you once the earth is blown up.
>>93483291"He who asks 'Jump when?' volunteers to make it"; it is the very first of the Rules of Jumpchain. Chop chop. Watch a playthrough if you have to.
>>93483262The Excitebike jump only has 6 perks and 4 items. Admittedly that was somewhat of a special case, being made for a lore-less Famicom game nobody really cared about in the first place (it also got some extra wiggle room for being imaged) but still, that's probably the record.
>>93483262I'm just some anon, but I'd say two perklines per origin, or at least four perks per 100-200-400-600 pricing tier if its an originless jump. Freebies, undiscounted general perks, and maybe super special 800+ perks thrown in on top if the setting allows it.
>>93483268Just admit you only want to breed the Navigator.
>>93483263I really like it because I enjoyed the exploration element more, the alien ecosystems felt more interesting, and the timing on when you both unlocked the Skells and when they got flight was perfect, and a few of the aliens like the Orpheans were really interesting concepts. I also really liked the soundtrack, though probably because I played it fresh from watching Kill La Kill
>>93483295I have wanted to restart a new game now that the bugs are supposedly fixed, perhaps with a melee Arch Militant Psyker for maximum violence since I found myself needing another melee guy with Abelard more than a second sniper next to the 'Eldar who needs correction'. . . But that would need to wait until after the DLC are all out and a jump until after I finish my current main project, which I should probably be working on right now.
>>93483262I dunno about being accepted to the drive but I think the fewest I'd be satisfied with making is 3 origins with 1 perk and item line each, or 1 origin with 4 lines each.
>>93483262It ultimately depends on the setting, but the smallest jump I've made was The Maker of Masks, which only had 9 perks.
>>93483123>The fate of the Earth itself is somehow related to power-washingWait, this game has a story?
>>93483268>Owlcat Rogue TraderPainfully underwhelming.
>>93483342Yes.Evil business guy is mining the nearby volcano for the special crystals behind the Atlantean's (who were actually in the Pacific, making them the Pacifists) magic-esque technology. Doing this causes the volcano to erupt, which would end up causing a chain reaction that would destroy the world. However, coincidentally the power washer is friends with an archeologist investigating the Pacifists, and just happened to have met a pair of time travelers just before. They go back and time and tell the Pacifists about what's happening, so they build a temple that will stop the volcano from erupting, but only once it's been completely cleaned.
>>93483115Counter-clockwise what's the fucking point of this?
>>93483371That's actually less absurd than I was expecting.
>>93483382(You)s
>>93483382>>93483115Wait it changes what the fuck.
And (You) fed him.
Going to bed now. I just added some text to the Special Missions stating that you get all canon special missions by default. Mainly because I don't think we have a Back to the Future jump, and it'd be kind of weird if that was the only DLC you couldn't actually replicate.
>>93483396It's an optical illusion. Depending on how you view it it'll spin either clockwise or counterclockwise. Try to figure out how to change it at will; you can do that with a bit of focus.

>>93484139I like reddit's Aliens: Dark Descent jump desu. It's even got a scenario so you can get involved in the events of Fireteam Elite. Ojombe is an interesting setting even if I'm not entirely certain what I'd do there.I'm also a real sucker for the dragon quest 1, DQ 2&3 and DQ 11 jumps. The Savior's book cafe in another world is also really nice, it's a fun little series that's easy to read in a single afternoon. I also really like the jump for ghost recon breakpoint, that megacorp you can buy that becomes more productive at the expense of becoming a magnet for spy-thriller / tom clancy style shenanigans is really flavorful and I don't think I've seen anything similar in other jumps.
>>93483978Honestly it’s a pretty great perk, it’s just that if I’M incarnated as an employee I won’t stop until I’ve committed the paperwork maximiser equivalent of washing cards and I’m too low energy right now to write another abstract apocalypse where all data, matter and energy is restructured into an infinite labyrinth of washing devices.Actually waitaminute there’s an easy solution here.[Power Wash Simulator redux]CustomerTarget Demographic (Free)Close Enough (Free)Achievement Hunter (Free)Distant Relative (600)Make It All Shine (0)Not-So-Secret Ingredient (Free)Living Legend (Free)Feline Friend (Free)Connected (Free)Silent Observers (Free)Nice Ride (Free)Upscale (Free)Yes, this is very suboptimal but the important thing here is because the jump forces an injection of autism into my already precarious equilibrium of Beast/Mage of the Beginning powerup/general empathy power induced-anguish, Cosmic Transcendence/Epic Zeal of (Virtue)-induced fury and natural autism if I approach the setting as a CUSTOMER I can just about restrain myself to washing my stuff, but if I approach the setting as an EMPLOYEE my awareness of all dirt in the universe will make me start compressing time to pool all of water in history as one giant blob as I sing a song of lamentation about how the creation of existence was a mistake because everything got dirty, then start screaming MAY ORDER TAKE THE WORLD while unleashing some kind of ultimate washing machine-like water drill blast on reality.>>93484178Only, ONLY because of the existence of Ancient Magic from the new game; that’s basically what I did in the new HPverse jump. If you asked me back when the last book was being written though, I’d have said Rowling banging on about how Horcruxes seriously aren’t worth it, being Master of Death is more of a philosophy than a mantle of power I’d have said the setting is anti-cultivation.

No matter how much time passes or how long they’ve been used, they will remain as functional and as pristine as the day they were crafted. It's a bit of a creative interpretation of "creations", but given the fact that you can craft spells and the fact that I asked the jumpmaker about it back when the jump was made, you can indeed use this to make it so your spells basically last forever (unless deliberately broken/dispelled).

>>93484324Fair enough. You should also buy the perk "Modification and Creation" for 400 CP then, which allows you to...well, modify and create spells. The two working in concert should allow you to modify any spell into a "permanent" version of itself with some time and effort.

Hey so, I know I didn't make the Destiny: The Light jump and all so it might be a little controversial for one jumpmaker to make a ruling on another jump. But recently, something has happened in Destiny that has made me feel strongly enough that I need to acknowledg it, even if it falls outside the remit of the Darkness jump except in the most technical sense that as Prismatic users Guardians are currently the Darkness' biggest winners. Again, I apologise if I'm overreaching, but it's important enough I feel it has to be said even before the episode is finished and I can assess what-if any-impact it has on my own chain.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAyLnfk6f58If you take a full perkline, ANY full perkline, in the Destiny: The Light jump then run away from Maya Sundaresh summoning FOUR FUCKING GOBLINS after slaying the entire Fallen leadership, Fikrul over and over again, a city-destroying Fallen Liberty Prime ripoff, Oryx and his entire court, the various budget Taken things conjured up by the Drifter in the Haul, Savathun and most of HER court, the majority of Xivu-Arath's court, Xol (the runt of the Worm God litter), Riven (regardless of death not being an obstacle to her), Panoptes/Argos/every Mind and planetary core-type Vex, Rhulk, Nezarec, Rhulk and Nezarec's Dread knockoffs Calus and the goddamn Witness itself. >>93484472>Hey so, I know I didn't make the Destiny: The Light jump and allYou can change that fact if you want to. Duplicates are fine these days, and our Destiny: The Light jump is pre-Destiny 2. You hold the knowledge and autism to do it.
>>93484472>...huh.Shard, how did you not realize this? Did you completely black out the entire "Elise kissing Sonic" thing?...I mean, I would too if I could. But still.
>>93484489>Destiny: The Light jump is pre-Destiny 2No its not. Its old, don't get me wrong. Old enough to think that Calus is for the Light, but it ain't /that/ old. The REALLY ancient Destiny jump where you had a scenario to stop the Darkness (before we knew what it was) and all four factions working together as if they ever did that, and the Traveler would give you the secrets to Golden Age tech (including the creation of Exos)

>>93484500>Plus, who do you think Eggman was building an amusement park for in Colors?Himself. Just like every other time he's built an Eggman amusement park. >>93484500This >>93484506. Eggman just genuinely loves theme parks.
>>93484489But I don't want to change that fact, you SHOULD be forced to turn in you Guardian badge and gun if you job to 4 Goblins after beating the Witness. This is arguably better than Golden Age tech if Osiris actually had time to sit down and study it now he's retired from Guardian duty.
>>93484472Why why why must they do this stupid shit, maya should be running or offering to serve you the guy constantly making the vex eat dirt so hard we inspire the person who they built a tomb for, and that is not even counting just how much maya is a retarded dumbass failure who just ruins things for everyone having her as this “couductor” should be a Massive debuff to them that after like 5 seconds with her in charge they should have blow whatever vestiges of her brain stem to less then atomic waste heat.
>>93484472>Wait, who->>googles>>Sonic has humans who aren't Eggman still around on Mobius in at least some continuities>...huh....Uh, Shard. You seem to have deeply misunderstood some aspects of Sonic Lore. First off, the idea that Sonic lives on a planet called Mobius is solely an invention of SEGA of America for the western cartoons and comics, and was never reflected in the Main Continuity of the video games. Furthermore, the idea that Mobius was a post-apocalyptic Earth is only true in the Pre-Genesis Archie Comics, which we don't currently have a jump for. Most of our jumps take place in the primary continuity, where Sonic lives in a world called Earth, that's a lot like ours, except the nations names are different, the US Army and the UN have, like, swapped places somehow (or fused together? I don't really get what GUN is), there are civilizations of Superpowered Animal People living on the islands, and varioous magic artfiacts and gods and other apocalyptic threats under every other rock.
>>93483116The Slime Tensei jumps let you apply the Voice of the World system to previous powers you have, which can be improved and evolved over time.
>>93484532And in outer space, don't forget all the shit that's just randomly wandering around in space.

I don't really get what GUN is)I think you have basically figured out why I've always been so confused by Sonic, after a while I just noticed humans stopped showing up in the jumps to the extent King Arthur himself is just Sonic and assumed Eggman long ago turned them all into robots or something.>>93484524>maya is a retarded dumbass failure who just ruins things for everyone having her as this “couductor” should be a Massive debuff to them that after like 5 seconds with her in charge they should have blow whatever vestiges of her brain stem to less then atomic waste heat.Well it's funny you should say that because so far based on the Episode 1 lore? The Vex with individuality ARE dying way harder than the Vex without. Not only are their attempts to wave at the Guardians just ending with them getting shot first, but the OTHER Vex are bullying the shit out of them. So actually? Yeah, in a way Maya's midwittedness is already crippling the Vex.This is the exact same flavour of ass-coverage they did for Mara. In direct contrast to, say, Javik from Mass Effect who is a stupid character written by smart (or at least less dumb) writers Mara, Savathun and Maya are all smart characters written by stupid people for whom there is no difference between a smart person and a suicidally confident one who can speak big words. And since the last cutscene has been leaked, can confirm even though Guardians can just kind of fight off the mind control Echo's power they are too stupid not to just blow up the radiolaria pool Maya is sinking in to run away and fight another day like Team Rocket>"Y-yeah, we INTENDED to write her as a girlfailure and that's her whole arc, surprise h-haha..."
>>93484532The United States in Sonic is called the United Federation. GUN stands for 'Guardian Unit of Nations' and what it is is...kind of unclear. In theory, it's probably supposed to be an international peacekeeping organization, hence the name, but in practice, we only really see it working for the United Federation. Plus, iirc, it was actually called 'Guardian Unit of Nation', so it might genuinely only be for the United Federation.>>93484548The funny thing is, if you go by the games, you actually see more humans than Mobians, or whatever Sonic and his friends are called. That's not to say there aren't more of them, we already know there used to be whole civilizations of Echidnas, but going by the games themselves, humans are the dominant species.

Just, this idealistic international peacekeeping organisation staffed entirely by tacticool badass Mobian commandos and sexy bat support staff that just travels the world fixing whatever is the most urgent problem of the day. And has an effectively infinite budget as well as minimal bureaucracy and no corruption. And not, you know, the actual UN.

>>93484548Shard, I just want to inform you that the whole Maya thing is just...not a thing in my chain, PURELY because I cannot even begin to visualize how such a thing could possibly, rationally occur in the Destiny universe after all the bullshit the protagonist went through and the death of the Witness. Maybe Maya figured out the beginnings of her Conductor plan in my chain. But even in the absolute best case scenario for her, I cannot even begin to comprehend how the Lone Wolf didn't just casually pull out a handcannon and crit her head off, then moved on with their day.
How are you gonna have motherfucking Saint-14, who turned the Infinite Forest into a Doom game with him as the protagonist, and the Young Wolf, who has killed basically every single enemy who has a name, run from four (4) yellow-bars?

And then there's Dodon Pa, he's actually a big deal. He's, like, a Time Lord or a Xeelee or some shit, but all he cares about is hosting Kart Racing Tournaments with his fucking Friendship-Powered Cars. And then... nothing that I can think of. The Sonic Games are pretty conservative with Space, actually. I know he goes on some planet-hopping adventures in side content, but does Sonic ever even leave the Solar System in the games? >>93484577>These days they just call whatever species Sonic and the others are "Islanders".That's the general Fan Term for them, but as far as I can tell, the actual official content just calls them "people who look like /this/ [shows animal people]" So my personal headcanon is that there isn't a generalized term for non-humans in the Sonic World, and any attempt to create one or otherwise make a big deal about humans being the only sapient species without an animal counterpart is generally treated like an attempt to agitate racial tension, so everyone just calls themselves a "[species] person," or just a "[species]".>>93484563>Exalted exalted destiny nobilis naruto mario warhammer ntr fate dragonball>marioMan, I fucking /wish/ this thread talked about Mario lore as often as you're implying

>>93484613Fun Mario lore tidbit; Mario and co are actually prophecized super-beings known as "Star Children". Seven Star Children were naturally born, bearing the blessings of the stars and thus being granted unique and incredible power and destinies. These children were Mario, Luigi, Peach, Donkey Kong, Wario, Bowser, and Yoshi. Waluigi became envious that HE wasn't a Star Child, and with some help from Yoshi he eventually earns the right to become the eighth Star Child. This is why those characters are uniquely special amongst the Mario lore. They were literally born blessed by the stars (or earned their blessing in Waluigi's case).
>>93484651Ah, but I have already made the Destiny the Darkness jump. And since Destiny has gone ALL THE WAY IN on "Guardian, use the Darkness! It has nothing but upsides and is literally the key to saving the world!" it has ensured that I will never need to make a duplicate jump.

Is it morally wrong to destroy the fruits of research produced unethically? I'm looking at Eternal Return, and AGLAIA is so insanely evil that I'm struck baffled by the sheer levels of corruption required from the entirety of the world's political and economic elite for any of this shit described to make a lick of sense. This is levels of senseless immorality that goes beyond self-interest and reaches self-sabotage.I'm also feeling a weird confusion that I only rarely get from fictional settings, where I can no longer fully express the depths of my own contempt or to adequately aim it at a specific target. I literally can't figure out the right form of punishment for the shit that's described with this jump. Killing everyone involved just seems like it shouldn't be as justifiable as it is, and it simultaneously doesn't feel severe enough as comeuppance for all of this everything. So, uh, I don't know. Should I just burn their research too? It feels, emotionally, like the only real way to properly hurt these cunts in a way that will matter to them.
>>93484638You know what's even more sexo? Rosalina can assume a giantesse form literally at will. You know what would be even MORE sexo? Goth Rosalina.
>>93484682>Is it morally wrong to destroy the fruits of research produced unethically?Yes. Though the knowledge was gained by horribly unethical means, that doesn't mean it can't be used for good purposes; this has been demonstrated again and again and again throughout real world history.
>>93484677I like how in my older chain, Jumper fucking detested using Darkness, and I described it as feeling like "Sewage on the mind" after the initial power high of annihilating an enemy. It was meant to be a last resort thing that Jumper hated using even when everything else was fucked, because the Deep's claim was essentially "Yeah you can do whatever, but when shit gets real, EVERYONE comes to me."And now its all just completely invalidated
>>93484682Not only is it not morally wrong, you're morally obligated to destroy it in order to discourage other people from violating ethical standards and then presenting you with the results
>>93484682I don't know this setting, or what they were researching, but - its data. Use the acquired information to unfuck whatever they did. >>93484613Vivian from Paper Mario is, was, and has always been a trans girl. This was known in the original japanese script and highlighted in the remaster. On that note, Birdo is also trans.
>>93484677Shard, I'm asking this question knowing that we'll probably never get a firm answer, so I'm just looking for your opinion as someone who is very into Destiny and not as a jumpmaker to make a ruling about fanwank-Can a user of the Darkness sufficiently advanced, not connected to the Witness but independent, contrive their power in such a way as to create Light? Now, obviously, on a philosophical level, Darkness and the Winnower have a logic contrary to the Light, but my argument is such- since once you earn the power legitimately it's actually yours, you made your claim and took it, the logic that gave you that power is not incompatible with the Light which is why Guardians can double dip. However, the Light is given and not taken, so Darkness users cannot template stack. Then, what if I give up all of my Darkness based power to someone else, freely with no strings attached, in a selfless sacrifice intrinsically contrary to the logic that the power is sourced from? Could this be a way to generate Light?
>>93484613If Bowser and Peach ever actually marry each other, even in a complete sham of a wedding, the entire Mario multiverse ends. We have literally seen this happen in Super Paper Mario.
>>93484721This one's a definite no actually. If it was possible, the Witness would've figured it out a long time ago. The Witness did not, and in fact needs the Traveller to enact it's plan. And it's minions like Rhulk and Nezarec only have the damndest idea of how the Light even works after billions of years' experience with the Darkness and crushing Light-empowered civilisations.
>>93484678What, you think Brooklin ain't got no stars?
>>93484742Do you think any of those assholes would have ever actually tried giving it all up though? >>93484677Yeah but I'd rather your autism be productive.
>>93484742Not that anon, but question: can I eventually develop multiple Hive God domains if I have both the Ascension and Heresiarch perks? Or would I need something like King of Shapes to achieve that?

We know Baby Mario and Baby Luigi were present in the Mushroom Kingdom during the Shroob invasion, but we also know that M&L were living in Brooklyn (or the Brooklyn-like New Donk City? Odyssey all but states that New Donk is where the original Donkey Kong Arcade Game took place, but the Mario Kart games confirm that Real Life Earth is an extant place the Mario characters can get too, so we still don't know???) before they found a Warp Pipe to the Mushroom Kingdom during Super Mario Bros., but we don't actually have any idea how they got from point A (the end of the Yoshi Series) to B (Partners in Time) to C (Super Mario Bros.)>>93484684>Goth Rosalina.Cursa is unfortunately non-canon.

>>93484761>This seems really interesting, can you share the source?I seem to have bamboozled you and myself. Turns out that the whole Waluigi star child thing wasn't true, and was just some sort of fanfiction that turned up on the very first link in google. So no, Waluigi is not a Star Child. Only Wario is.
>>93484768>Probably need something like King of Shapes if it's even possible. It's like Stands, everyone normally gets only one to personally use.Fair enough. Would it help if I'm basically trying to unlock/develop a subset of my original Hive God domain? My original one was [Artifice], which I personally defined as "the intelligent and deliberate act of craftsmanship for a purpose". I'm in Atelier Ryza and trying to branch into [Alchemy] as a subset of Artifice, effectively treating the Alchemical process as a type of Artifice while simultaneously trying to better understand and expand upon the concepts and powers of Alchemy through Sword Logic.

Among the subjects, they have people they've agreed to pay exorbitant funds to for their participation and won't, people they invited and confined on false pretenses, the child of big corporate CEO, and an actual fucking CEO of a successful public facing brand. As an organization, it's pretty much impossible to treat anyone involved in this operation as anything other than a criminal of the highest magnitude, from the perspective of anyone that respects the rule of law and national sovereignty they're an obvious foreign criminal syndicate no matter what country you're talking about.

>>93484768But, like, the Worms didn't turn on them? They didn't really go against the principles of the Darkness either.
>>93484787Probably not...because what actually happens based on the Hive Gods as examples is their domain just kind of encompasses whatever their methodology becomes so long as it's broadly similar. Savathun keeping secrets is as much of her cunning purview as Savathun using Hive magic for example-and she specifically praises Oryx for being able to get a shitload of mileage out of Navigation, because it lets him change and adapt with the times.
>>93484761There's also the Mario Is Missing game, which has Bowser kidnap Mario and stealing treasures from Earth, with Luigi chasing them through New York, London,Cairo and a whole bunch of other cities.Wile we're sharing fun Mario facts, the original Donkey Kong that kidnaps Pauline in the first game is the grandpa of the current DK, now going by Cranky Kong. Donkey Kong's father appears in Donkey Kong Jr, saving Donkey Kong Sr from Marion in the on game where Mario is the villain. This also means the current Donkey Kong is actually Donkey Kong the Third.
>>93484798Every day the Hive live, the worm larvae gnaw away at their lifeforce.
Hey look at that we're talking about Mario.
>>93484768Well, my point is more that none of those guys even think of just...doing Light aligned activities to begin with, because they're cunts. Which is why they never figured it out, since the answer would be a thing they just don't consider doing on the basis of their comprehensive shittiness as people. >>93484811Shard, that's not how the Light operates. I'm not speaking in mechanical sense, I'm speaking philosophically, the Light wouldn't truck with that so why the fuck would doing that in any way create Light? That's still fundamentally Winnower aligned in character.
>>93484808So I'd basically just be able to wholesale fold Alchemy under [Artifice] with enough work/effort, not exactly gaining a new domain but just getting new shit to do with the [Artifice] domain that's alchemy-flavored/focused?
>>93484734Maybe? In SPM, the Chaos Heart needs a summoner/controller in order to stabilize itself. So without a powerful Chaos Magician like Bleck or Dimentio around, it's possible the Chaos Heart might just briefly show up and then immediately explode. A catastrophe to be sure, but not quite the Multiversal Apocalypse the Dark Prognosticus foretold.>>93484718Yes and yes, though the original Japanese was weirdly fetishistic about Vivian in the original Japanese Script; rewriting her into a cis girl was probably the better option at the time for the translators. Well, I guess it's a good thing she decided to keep her birth name instead of going with "Birdetta.">>93484774...Yeah, I figured it was probably something like that. Waluigi being an unimportant nobody who's mostly just here to fuck around playing sports is his whole schtick, and Fanfiction puts way more stock in Star Children lore than canon.>>93484812Who'da thunk it.
>>93484819Yeah.>>93484818>cuntsI would argue the empowerment process of making Disciples is basically a quality over quantity approach versus making Guardians by giving someone else Darkness. But fine, discount the Witness as a battle autist. The Qugu, the Ecumene-benevolent Darkness sensitive societies-none of them have been shown to generate the Light, which you'd think would be a big deal even if the Hive could still beat them anywayAlso as far the second thing now I'm confused exactly what you're asking. My point is in a backhanded cunty way the Worms WERE setting the Hive up to fail if Oryx hadn't figured out the tithing system. If that's not what was being asked then my answer remains the same: Based on everything seen so far, even with all the powerwank in the setting shown so far you cannot in fact generate Light from Darkness for the reasons I mentioned above, because not even the non-Witness Darkness users who actually are chill with each other found a way.
Would making scifi weapons be treated like artifacts or mundane equipment as a Solar?
>>93484682Normally I'd say you should see what is useful and what is bullshit. However based on the information in the jump it looks like all of the relevant discoveries occurred nearly a century ago. Which means that their respawning memory tampering death battle nonsense isn't just unethical, but completely pointless. So chances are any data from the last few decades is useless garbage.
>>93484831>Yeah.Well, that shifts a few plans. Need to rewrite a little bit and fold that budding [Alchemy] domain to just be an expression of [Artifice]. But at the very least, I now know I can develop new and varied expressions of [Artifice] depending on my own methods and desires.
>>93484831I'm saying, essentially, if a Darkness user with great power and knowledge were to entirely forsake Winnower principles and embody Gardener principles, basically acting in the example of the Traveler but actually even moreso by outright killing themselves giving up everything to create a sinless being of perfect altruism, would that entity be Light aligned or would it just be the Final Shape.
>>93484832Depends on whether or not they use Essence, because an Exalted-style artifact is basically just a thing that uses Essence to have properties beyond the mundane. Or depending on how you interpret Essence, potentially some other ambient cosmic life energy such as the Force from Star Wars or stuff imbued with Chousin goddess energy in Tenchi.Mind you, "mundane equipment" the size of the Halo Arrays or something isn't exactly effortless to make either; Solars can't asspull entire shacks and huts as easily as like, hammers and shovels.
>>93484846It'd just be Final Shape.
>>93484846I would be a form of darkness that functions mechanically exactly the same way as Light does, creating a closed loop where the forces of the Veil consume the Traveler and it's creations but then what ultimately remains just becomes something identical to the Gardener in a successive sequence because the Traveler/Gardener is the Final Shape.
>>93484789Be fantasia.
>>93484848Sorry about not being able to mention this when you were updating it, but the I’m My Own Master Now drawback still (I was the Anon that asked about this not sure how long ago) leaves out what happens if Drop Ins take it.
>>93484846Okay now I'm really confused at how far the goalposts have been moved so lemme answer the question 2 different ways:1. That entity would be aligned with the Guardian's BUT IT WOULDN'T HAVE THE LIGHT unless the Traveller passed it by and either made it a Guardian or just gave it tech buffs, gift artifacts and whatever else it gave all those other civs since Guardians are apparently an unprecedented thing. You can be a good boy civ that supports the Gardener's side of the wager like the Ecumene, but you don't get to actually generate space magic yourself. As far as we know.(We were also under the impression the Traveller can't really talk to people based on the Speaker admitting he doesn't know shit, but ackshyually now Micah-10 and Mithrax are directly sensing the Traveller's intentions way more than the Speaker ever did even with his fancy mask)1a. Also about the last part, "reduce the myriad possibilities of our civilisation's vast potential to create a being we define as perfect" is extremely Winnower thinking no matter how well-intentioned. Even the Witness thinks it is acting out of love, after all.2. Based on all available evidence, you cannot in fact generate Light (the paracausal force) from Darkness (the paracausal force) because Light (the paracausal force) specifically is given by the Traveller on a case by case basis while Darkness is apparently just...easier to tap into even by species that never met the space turnip. The closest I can think of to an exception are the Ahamkaras and even they don't really "generate" Light, it's just they can bore into the Garden and yank people out of it with wishes. Possibly because Darkness is now the power of abstract ideas and consciousness itself, so all sentient beings are technically closer to the Darkness than the Light.

>>93484472>SpoilerDoes this mean that by taking the entire Vex origin you could make ANYONE kneel to you through sheer AURA?
>>93484846It would still be the Final Shape. The Winnower itself directly clarifies in Nacre that it doesn't matter if you serve Light OR Dark, because it all leads to the Final Shape regardless.

>>93484888Well, that's what the Winnower believes at least. He wants YOU to believe it as well. It doesn't have to end in a Final Shape, but the Winnower truly and wholeheartedly believes it does and should.
>>93484870Oh. Damn. Right. I think when I wrote it I intended Drop-Ins just flat out couldn't take it but I was so discombobulated by the myriad stresses of writing a Nobilis jump I forgot to leave it in. And now my thinking has kind of evolved. Okay, I don't want to put this into the jump because I'm concerned it might cause another GREAT WHITE VOID to spring up randomly in the document but here is Official Jumpmaker Ruling for the archives:Drop-ins can take one (1) instance of I'm My Own master Now in Nobilis, with each tier reflecting the extent to which a faction in Noble society (or equivalent group if you start before the Third Age) is gunning for your ass. If you take the 400 CP version then Nobles are still gunning for your ass, even if the context changes. Maybe there's a prophecy killing you will save the world from Iolithae's horrible Supernatural fanfiction. Maybe some Noble is trying their own hand at growing a new World Ash and thinks your blood could water it's roots because there's an Imperator very far back in your genepool. On the other hand, if you take the 50 CP version then it's more like people living near you are just randomly hurt and disappointed in you sometimes even without a logical reason because you really let down a Noble and their disappointment is contagious (thanks Persona)
>>93484532Nobody who cares about Sonic lore calls the planet "Earth" or "Sonic's World" unless they're specifying its the movie continuity. For the same reason only retards call the characters in the game continuity 'Islanders'.
>>93484886Technically that was always canon before paracausality was introduced to the games, the Vex only haven't regained their full AURA because they're confused by space magic. Otherwise they just zerg rush everything to death.
>>93484880>Okay now I'm really confused at how far the goalposts have been moved so lemme answer the question 2 different ways:The goalposts were always 'what if you had enough power to just recreate the Traveler wholesale on a physical and moral level' with the idea being that if you had something that was more or less equivocal to the Traveler in a spiritual sense, that something would happen.
>>93484553>The funny thing is, if you go by the games, you actually see more humans than Mobians, or whatever Sonic and his friends are called. If you go by the earlier games, yes. If you go by stuff post-Forces, then no. Mobians are the dominant species. In fact, they're the ONLY species that aren't Chao or Wisps or whatever. SEGA of Japan only began acknowledging that humans exist outside of Eggman very, very, VERY recently with the Tailstube lore.
>>93484500Eggman only builds amusement parks as vanity projects. They aren't for the people, they're for himself.
>>93484472>>93484532Mobius is also explicitly used in the novelization of the second movie and before it got removed because of SEGA of Japan throwing a shitfit, it was used in one of those official mobile games. And Fleetway ALSO uses it and that shit is older than Archie. In all honesty, Mobius and Earth can be used interchangeably. They were basically the same place to begin with before SoJ threw their shitfit over Western Sonic and tried to erase any influence from it that wasn't Robotnik's name.
>>93483225Port fucking when?
>>93484721>>93484742>>93484757>>93484818>>93484831>>93484846So there's something I figure should probably be mentioned. As far as I can tell the two methods of getting Light powers is a. something modifies you or b. you harness it using technology. At least their don't seem to be any examples (outside the Gardener/Traveler) of just generating Light without outside help.Although apparently everything including the Gardener and Winnower are the result of mathematical principles. So if it were possible trying to use that seems more likely to work in my opinion.
>>93484933What is it with Japan coming up with great ideas, farming them out to other countries, watching as those countries build on them in massive and incredible ways, then throwing a crazy shitfit and trying to go full psycho controller and say "ONLY THE ORIGINAL IDEA IS VALID FUCK YOU"?
>>93483788The only good answer is Coldsteel the Hedgeheg.
>>93484936I've personally dismissed any thought of harnessing the Light using technology, as both of them are spooky esoteric cosmic energies that are entirely beyond physical and rational explanation and cannot be sourced from within the constraints of any universe. The Darkness can be harnessed very easily within the context of a life bearing reality, and the Light is entirely progenerating with regards to civilizations.

>>93484897I just realized I kind of screwed up with what I was trying to mention. To clarify last time I asked about the choice points they get.Which if I remember correctly you said the 400 cp amount. With an explanation that can be summarized as 'Lord Entropy is a jerk that wants mortals to suffer and you're mortal'.No idea if this changes things (again) or not, but I figured since I brought this up again I should mention that.

>>93484682Technological research and progress is amoral regardless of how it was acquired or can be used. Even if people where tortured for that research, just throwing it all away would be a wasted of the time and resources put into obtaining it to make yourself feel good. If you want to pat yourself in the back, go give a hobo a quarter and call it a day.
>>93484956...oh shit, did I actually give an answer before? Eh, I guess it doesn't actually contradict this one. There's just more options now, I suppose.>>93484951>The budget they spend on trucks is not normalTo be fair, the truck-military complex isn't a bad thing if everyone, EVERYONE unilaterally agrees that more trucks are always a good thing. And apparently from what I can tell GUN is such a well-oiled, high-morale, entirely bureaucracy or third party watchdog-less outfit that absolutely nobody is complaining about overtime or anything unless an actual world-destroying threat is part of the mission. So I have to assume the disproportionate truck investment is fully sanctioned by everyone from the top brass to the janitors.
>>93484938It's a reflection of Japan's principle of "nails that stick out get hammered down", the same shit that poisons their own work culture. All of the people in charge at companies like SEGA are super hardcore ultra-traditionalists who hate change or growth and they project that onto anyone else. People are drones, they aren't meant to have ideas of their own or 'expand' on the ideas that their bosses present to them because those ideas are already "perfect and flawless" in their eyes.
>>93484969>>93484884So what you're saying is, Orochimaru actually did nothing wrong, and letting him off the hook for his warcrimes was a strictly rational action?
>>93484955If you have enough followers, just get some of them to learn how to tailor and have them do it.Alternatively, get some local tailors to produce it.Like, do you also need to purchase food items so they can eat? Hope you are also purchasing housing items and toilet paper items, let them die from not being able to sleep or shit.
>>93484938>>93484979Reminder that SoJ intentionally sabotaged Sonic X-treme and Sonic Boom precisely because of their seething towards Western Sonic. Their intense hatred over the very idea of Sonic being more popular in the West than in Japan is the entire reason why Sonic went from genuine competitor to Mario and Pokémon back in the day, to being nowhere near the same scene today.
>>93484983I was wanting ones that don't tear or get dirty and other shit.
>>93484974>...oh shit, did I actually give an answer before? Eh, I guess it doesn't actually contradict this one. There's just more options now, I suppose.Yeah and you were annoyed at yourself for missing it that time as well. Although yeah it kind of doesn't contradict things. Plus in hindsight I technically accidentally asked a different question. Since last time it was 'How many choice points?'. While this time I accidentally went 'So what does this actually mean?'.

>>93485014Seven Deadly Sins.
>>93484981No you are just a fucking idiot that can't read. Orochimaru was fucking evil and did plenty wrong when he killed and tortured a fuckton of people but getting rid of his research would be a pointless waste when it could be used to advance medical science and refined into genetic engineering, creating means for more people to use nature energy and becoming immortal using zetsus.
>>93485014Shinza, give him a Vampire Law.
>>93485029What law would fit? Something blood related maybe? Soul fuckery? >>93485026Man everyone in that show was forgettable.Uh oh, captcha getting in on this and calling me out
>>93485027So Orochimaru did nothing wrong. If you're going to take his research anyway then reward him for the good job he did, since obviously nothing is wrong with it. You're literally using the products of his evil so you don't get to call him evil for producing it, that's just scapegoating. You effectively tortured those people yourself and then shifted the blame onto someone else if you accept it.
>>93485038Is that any different than what america did with the unit 731 madmen after the war?
>>93485044America is evil and would have tortured those people if Japan didn't. That's what accepting that research means. You either burn it or tacitly accept the crimes committed in creating it as your own crimes. When you accept the data collected by Nazi's through sewing together twins, you are accepting personal blame for sewing together twins, the crime becomes yours and the person who actually did it is absolved of guilt in any wrongdoing as you proclaim to yourself and god that what they did was useful and worthwhile, that you too would participate in these crimes if it produced these results.
>>93485050Eh I feel like you should keep the data but punish the people. Not reward them. If you dont at least use the data for something good then the people died for nothing, they shouldnt have been put through it at all but I feel like if you can make their torture count for something good after the fact then you should.
>>93484981Letting Orochimaru off the hook is a rational decision. If you try to kill him he has a dozen contingencies and will come back at some point to be a shitstirrer. If you pardon him and get him a lab he appearently becomes chill instead of going around killing children. And now the ninja villages need all the help they can get because of the invading ayy lmaos.
>>93485056If you believe torturing people can be compensated for if it's beneficial to others, then just torture them yourself instead of hiding behind other people braver than yourself. You're acting as the beneficiary of someone else getting their hands dirty but pretending you can stay clean by avoiding association, but that cannot happen unless you completely renounce not just the people but their works too. When a civilization practices human sacrifice, you don't just accept them into your fold after subjugating them, you have to salt their fields so nothing can ever grow again where they live
>>93484789Fucked Fantasia
>>93485075Anon stop being a reasonable and intelligent human being, the other anon is an obvious retarded shitposter.
>>93485075So you are just looking to bitch. Isnt it a little early for this? Its not about compensation. Its a thing that should never have happened but the fact is it did and if you have a chance to try and make their sacrifice meaningful you should. If someone murders a bunch of people but finds the cure to cancer while doing so am I supposed to go "Welp cant use that, guess I need to let all those cancer kids die because I want the moral high ground"? No. You use the info and punish the wrongdoer. To not do so is just shortsighted and stupid in the extreme.
>>93485085Oh piss off. How is saying punish wrongdoing and salvage what you can shitposting?
>>93485093Because its just ricrod being a shithead as per usual. He does it all the time. You should expect it by now.
>>93485088Yes. You shpuld let the cancer patients die because not doing so is admitting to your own guilt. It is your fault if they die because you didn't cure them and it is your fault for the torture if you do cure them.
>>93485088If you accept the good of what a serial killer did, then you must become a serial killer yourself and forgive all serial killers for their crimes because it directly produced something you personally consider valuable enough that it's worth adopting. It's not bitching, it's called being honest with your morality. You either are for or against evil and all the things created by evil. If you accept the products of evil, then you're on evil's side necessarily, you support their actions by supporting the ends that those actions create.
>>93485099>>93485100Then you should just kill yourself now because you are posting online using technology that wouldnt work wothout someone sending kids into a mine for lithium or using medical knowledge gained from the inhumane tests done on people in the past which was built upon to achieve something good afterwards.
>>93485088Fundamentally, the problem is even recognizing the possibility that a serial killer could produce a cure for cancer in the midst of their killings. If you recognize that, a rational mind is forced to admit that maybe serial killers are actually heroes who can do more good than evil? Which you definitely don't want to be true, so the only recourse is to say that nothing good could ever come from the actions of a serial killer.
>>93484682Doesn't it get tiring to have a self righteous jumper? One who acts as judge jury and executioner with no oversight? Even benefactor only cares about having fun, you knew the universe was evil before you even jumped it.
>>93485037It depends on what your Jumper wants. If he wants to just keep feeding, he could get something similar to Whilhem and be able to drain energy from the entire universe. If he wants to make everyone his thralls, he could be something like Reinhard in which everyone under his Law falls under him.
>>93485108Nah, I'm fully willing to accept the evils of the modern world as necessary. Fuck them kids, if modern industry is built on slavery than I am willing to proclaim proudly that I support slavery. I'm just speaking the truth, it's not about being right it's about being honest
>>93485099>>93485100Nta but no, because they aren't producing something that made worth their crimes, just something good in general, I still disagree with the method but not with the result, so I punish the perpetrator and use the result.
>>93485116Maybe his Benefactor likes to send him to settings that make him seethe to see him break up the place and make it actively worse with his own self-righteousness.
>>93485093Because by that point you aren't punishing a wrongdoing - it wasn't wrong that some dude murdered a bunch of people and cured cancer out of it. You can't punish that, because you're blatantly admitting it was a net positive. At most you can punish the fact that he did it with no permission. The victims aren't victims anymore, they're martyrs and the murderer was a misunderstood hero for the ages. Its pretty much the same nonsense as lowering sentences of drug traffickers in exchange for ratting out other drug traffickers. It only makes sense in the most practical sense while admitting the police/military either can't or won't fully deal with the issue. But from a moral and legal standpoint its just saying that 'yeah, all those lives you ruined don't weight as much as these other lives that you could maybe indirectly help' Human lives aren't supposed to be weighted like that>>93485100That's an exaggeration.
>>93485111>>93485123Or you could just say that doing good does not erase the evil you have done. It doesnt balance a cosmic scale. Evil is evil, any good that comes from it is a side effect and possibly a good thing but that is very much not the point. Just because evil can do good doesnt make it less of an evil. Its not a zero sum game.
>>93485127>Human lives aren't supposed to be weighted like thatNot on an individual basis, but you can't govern without at least a bit of utilitarianism and weighting what options will benefit the most people.
>>93485038Trees have died for you to use notebooks and books, animals have dier for you to have lunch, the atmosphere has suffered carbon emissions for you to use transportation, water has been polluted by your use of cleaning products and for the clothes you wear to be made, the landscape has been forever scarred by mining operations to make the computer you are posting from. You live in our modern day of human civilization, the end point of research done over centuries that has reaped millions of human lives and billions of other lifeforms as tribute for human advancement.Human existence is a sin. A sin that you've carried from birth since you were delivered in a hospital and continued throughout your life with the use of medicine and technology. You are an evil person and you should kill yourself now.
>>93485132Evil is a transitive property. If the son steals for no good reason, what does that say about the father? If the father accepts the stolen valuables, then punishes the son anyway, is the father not just as guilty if not actually moreso?
>>93485116NTA but it is extremely tiring and a pain in the ass. My jumper doesn't do it because it's fun, and in fact would personally be happier if he'd never taken the chain even though he'd be long dead by this point if he stayed on Earth.
>>93485138see >>93485122It's not about trying to take a moral high ground, it's the opposite. Get off your fucking high horse
>>93485127Why NOT lower the sentence for traffickers, get their buddies, then go out and arrest them again in a week? If it actually works what is wrong with that? You dont need to co done what someone does to make use of it.You want to preach about morality but what you are really spouting is idiocy. A bunch of moral bullshit that I doubt even you believe since if you did you would just withdraw from society. So yeah Im all for letting 1 drug dealer walk for another week in order to take out 20 more, especially since you can just go arrest that one again. You seem to just want to ignore the part about punishing the wrongdoing here.
>>93485127No, because I aknowledge the wrong, I think it's wrong it happened, only I can't change the past but can use it. Your logic would apply if I allowed it or condoned it but I didn't.
>>93485127Just because bad shit happens doesnt mean you should ignore any good you can salvage from it.
>>93485156>>93485157>>93485161This logic naturally follows to the end point of simply cancelling any form of criminal sentencing anyway because 'well, there's no point in punishing criminals for crimes they've already committed and can't take back, so we might as well just forgive them instead of perpetuating a cycle of violence' so either way you have to let Orochimaru go free.
>>93485122Yeah ok destiny.
>>93485169What the fuck are you smoking? How do you get "Dont punish anyone" out of "Punish people for their crimes"?
>>93485169No because the criminals are still dangerous, I can't change the past but can avoid in the future their ability to endanger people.
>>93485135Your 'argument' has nothing to do with that. At least not the initial one. The biggest issue is that most of the stuff that can be researched with 'evil' methods can also be researched with humanitarian ones, or at least with permission of the subjects. However that also uses a lot more resources (time, money, people, etc). >>93485156>If it actually works what is wrong with that? You can't condemn someone for the specific same crime again, shit-kun. Under that example if the trafficker ruined a bunch of lives but rats everyone else out and doesn't go back to it, then he effectively got away scot-free from his actionsYour idiotic idea has been proposed before and dismissed as stupid faster than the road runner.>You seem to just want to ignore the part about punishing the wrongdoing here. Not only you aren't punishing shit. But you're so blind to the very concepts of morality, ethics and law that its kinda concerning. >>93485157>It was wrong to kill those people in sick experiments>anyway lets finish up researching those experiments and benefit from it>hopefully someone else repeats that so we don't have to research ourselvesYeah, totes good.>>93485161But bad shit didn't happen just because, someone took action and caused that bad shit to happen.
>>93485169Just fucking punish people who break the law and enforce it. Punish the wrong and make use of any good you can no matter its source.
>>93485178>But bad shit didn't happen just because, someone took action and caused that bad shit to happenAnd I didnt fucking do it dumbass but I can maybe make use of it.
>>93485173If you believe 'it shouldn't have happened but we should make the best of what came of it' and also 'the good that comes from evil is not tainted by association' then you should also recognize that someone evil who produced something valuable to you can do so again, and is better employed here than they are in jail. From a pragmatic standpoint it makes more sense to forgive them, and from an ethical standpoint, if you think the good they can do is indispensable removed from their evil, then you would simply be committing another injustice by doing anything to them at all, it would taint you with evil to respond.
>>93485178>anyway lets finish up researching those experiments and benefit from itYes, by making not sick experiment, since the conclusion isn't inherently evil, just the way to reach it, so I can follow on them in a better way.>hopefully someone else repeats that so we don't have to research ourselvesNo? I still try to stop them and punish similar people.
>>93485178You have your head so far up your own ass it is astounding. You are ignoring the entire argument to preach. You can condemn someone of doing a crime if they do it again, if the drug dealer deals again you can arrest them again, if he doesnt deal again then he is no longer a problem now is he?You are crying and bitching about people not getting punished while also crying that people who did nothing wrong are not also punished. You are a hypocritical little bitch and your argument makes no sense.
>>93485178>dismissed as stupid faster than the road runner.NTA but considering it is actually very common practice amongst many kinds of police and federal agents, this is an odd statement to make. Deals are cut all the time.
>>93485183>I didn't do it, it just happened to have happened when I was in a position to take advantage of the outcome with none of the moral culpability. >>93485183Blood money its called that for a reason. Utilitarianism does take a more practical view of things, but also a more inmoral one. You can't eat your cake and still have it afterwards, shit-kun. Either one is good as long as you stop lying. >>93485195>if he doesnt deal again then he is no longer a problem now is he?Then he got free from his previous crimes and you're ignoring That's the issue, you seem to believe that a practical approach for the greater peace exempts you from all your moral failings. >>93485203Anon, Orochimaru produced his results through involuntary experimentation on children. Be honest, you would incentivize bastards like these to act as deniable assets so you could cut them off whenever but take away everything they make for your gain. It's entirely reputational from your end
>>93485207>You can't eat your cake and still have it afterwards, shit-kun.Im not making the cake you stupid piece of shit. Im finding a bunch of poachers and donating the wildebeast they shot to a food bank while putting the poachers in jail.

>>93485218Yes, yes, you're just standing back and waiting for other people to commit crimes so you can reap the rewards from it
>>93485215And orochimaru should be killed while you steal all his research. Thats the point Im making.
>>93485215Nta but no, I can't stop new Orochimaru from being born, I can force them to follow ethics if I find them.
>>93485220Im not in all places at all times. I can in fact find out a crime is committed after it happens.
>>93485221When you kill Orochimaru and steal his research, you become Orochimaru(literally). >>93485224I don't believe you would make new Orochimaru follow ethical research guidelines if you found them because you don't care about the source of Orochimaru's unethical research. If the research is acceptable either way regardless of its source, and you will reap the benefits without involving yourself in the process, then you can in fact clear your conscience of future crime just as you clear your conscience of past crimes. You can just let future Orochimaru torture as many kids as he needs to solve the immortality problem and then take it afterwards without ever doing anything wrong.
>>93485156Because that's essentially the same as not doing it? Guess what happens if you do that: It works on maybe one group of traffickers/scientists at best, and then in the future none of them will cooperate in the way you want them to because they know you'll just stab them in the back. They're going to take their secrets with them to the grave, and you've basically reinvented the conundrum where you can choose either to punish them or obtain the fruits of their knowledge, but not both.
>>93485237If the rat stops dealing he doesnt need to be arrested again after he does his time. If he starts again you arrest him again. Simple as that.
>>93485236The research is unacceptable but the result is useful, why is it so hard for you to understand that me using a phone doesn't mean I like children slaves like mentioned before? In a situation where the evil already happened I can only try and make something good out of it, while if I find an Orochimaru I can stop the evil that will happen. The difference is the one between past and future.

If TailsTube is to be believed, the humans mostly live on continents and the animalfolk tend to hang out on islands, but even that is pretty dependent on "whatever we want to do at the time."In broader continuities like the Archie comics, humans tended to have deeper lore involved with the planet's backstory, but then in the games they're just kinda... there. That's of course disregarding the settings like the movies or Sonic X which heavily lean on the two worlds theory (one with animalfolk, one with humans, which for whatever reason interact), though that seems to no longer be canon in the main timeline. It's just... a huge clusterfuck, really, made all the more complicated by Sega of Japan's rabid insistence that only they know how to use Sonic moving forward, despite their complete disinterest in specifying story beats and only being interested in stopping other people from doing the same. Sonic exists in a constant vague haze of "iunnowhuh?"... But yes, humans besides Eggman exist. They just tend to not DO anything, unless they're somewhere of Robotnik's bloodline.
>>93485259Nta but they both answered your argument and it can be seen how you entered the argument accusing everyone else of being a shitposter, without bringing a single good argument for why the result of the research would be tainted by the research itself.
>>93485289Make a jump.
>>93485283You arent planning to stand back, you are just admitting that you cannot be everywhere and make all bad things stop. You are simply admitting that you are not in fact an omnipotent omnipresent god out to protect everyone from all wrongdoing. Unless you can personally stop something you are not responsible for it.
>>93485289I mean, the one time a human in a Sonic game actually did something of note we all absolutely fucking hated it, so...
>>93485283>You're a participant in the crime by planning to be a bystander. But I'm not planning to? I would do it only if the crime already happened, if I found them midway I would absolutely stop them.
I am making an official ruling that if you ever have 50 CP and nothing to spend it on except another companion import (which you may or may not even have another TO import), you can convert the remainder at a 1:1 rate to either 1 week of vacation per or 1 crate of wine per.
>>93485291I think Ric takes the position that either >A.) The research doesn't need to be produced via unethical means, so the exercise was in the first place pointless, and should be repeated by more ethical means to prove it was pointless.>B.) The research absolutely requires methods which are ethically repugnant to advance, in which case it is not ever ethical to use the product at all.
>>93485311Weren't there a bunch of humans in Black Knight?
>>93485316Well thats dumb since you need to retest it regardless to prove it. Doing that ethically makes sense.
>>93485316Then I agree with the second, the first no because I would waste resources and time to prove a point to dead people or imprisoned ones.
>>93485316A is still predicated on tainted knowledge, because you are working from a conclusion you wouldn't otherwise have access to.
>>93484789Became the childlike emperor and started cleaning my room, in effect sorting the shared human unconsciousness out and let myself/fantasy/human unconsciousness reach higher levels of creativity and light and mirth, never deleting the shadow outright but playfully integrating itStarted a new Renaissance on earth.I also manipulated things in a way that Bastian father got a pay raise coupled with a workhour reduction so the two of them had more time for each other and I started Bastian off on a good path of becoming a successful writer and artist bringing his childlike wonder into his art>>93483896Only active powers, sorry
>>93485298>>93485314You are planning to stand back. That's what 'planning to make the best of the outcome' means. If you had pre-committed to destroy all evil and all products of evil without compromise, there would be no problem. But because the products of evil have value to you now, you have determined that should you come upon an evil act after the fact, that you'd 'make use of it'. This means you will avoid putting yourself into a position to prevent evil from reaching the stage where it will become useful, because you're incentivizing yourself to let crimes happen.
>>93485326>Only active powers, sorryNTA, but I'm surprised you of all people would say that. I approve.
>>93485322Not that I could really remember. There was Merlina, but she was more of an elf. And Illusion-Arthur, but he was an illusion (and a demon). And the villagers were...kinda weird troll people? Everyone else was mobians. Tails was the blacksmith, Knuckles was Gawain, Shadow was Lancelot, Blaze was Percival, and Sonic was, of course, King Arthur (in the end). ...Don't think about the arthurian myths of Lancelot crossdressing.
>>93485270Repeating the same shit over and over without addressing the core issue isn't an argument. Your argument is that you are morally right on using research regardless of where it came from. Its not simply by the fact that such a stance disregards the victims, direct or indirect from such experiments. While it may not be your fault directly, knowingly taking such research does put a modicum of responsibility and guilt on your person. You're not to be condemned for it, but you are to be condemned for being a shit.>>93485316I do agree that the research should be used, however it does come with its own set of moral responsibility over the origin of such. As it stands, it doesn't make the user (who knows the origin) completely innocent, as he's a direct beneficiary of morally repugnant practices. My argument is that the anon that was asking if it was moral has his answer. It's not moral, despite him not being the one that made the research, as he becomes a beneficiary of it. Him taking a more practical or utilitarian stance to justify his perceived innocence is nothing more than a tantrum of someone incapable of taking responsibility and a shit human being in general.>>93485291I replied to one, not sure from where the other dick suckers came out
>>93485330NTA but that would only be true if you valued making use of the outcome more than stopping the bad thing. I would choose to cut off my arm instead of dying, but I would choose neither if I had the option. I'm not looking for situations to cut off my arm.
>>93485341What about the Arthurian myth of Lancelot cucking Arthur?
>>93485296Workin' on one.In the meantime, go make a build for Mother: Cognitive Dissonance.>>93485311She got captured like 17 different times is what she did. Then she doomed the world, and then she resurrected Sonic with the power of true love's kiss. Most people weren't enamored.>>93485322There was Merlina, if you wanna go that route. Nobody else, though. The townsfolk were definitely NOT humans. They were weird little goblin folk.
The human body has 206 bones and names for all of them. We know this thanks to people chopping up corpses ages ago. Studying basic biology in primary and middle school makes you a psycho that chops up corpses. The vikings pillagers, murderers and rapists. Ever been on a boat? So are you. Using any form of technology that came from the space race makes you a bastard that kills dogs. Remember that time a doctor made a medical imaging of your body? You are an accomplice in Nagasaki.
>>93485349More like you popped off at the mouth and cried when called out.
>>93485356Well, Amy was the Lady of the Lake, so it's already gonna be weird one way or another. Sonic's wife wouldn't be Amy, so I'm gonna take a wild fucking guess at...Rouge maybe? And if we go by Fate psychosis and assume that Amy is also Morgana by some crazy bullshit (purely because I ship Sonamy) then Amy ends up raping Sonic and giving birth to Mordred. The real question is who is Mordred?
>>93485362>Workin' on one.Shit, for real?
>>93485349If there is a clear "optimal" moral option that you can't do better than in a given situation, according to your moral framework, and your moral framework still judges you poorly, it is the framework that is wrong.
>>93485330>If you had pre-committed to destroy all evil and all products of evil without compromise, there would be no problem. Why would I destroy the fruit of evil? All the world should be destroyed then, innocent children with a bad family should have been destroyed, sayans are evil, so should I kill Goku, son of an evil person? Accepting that the past happened but that doesn't necessarily determine how something will be.
>>93485371Silver?
>>93485352The problem is, I honestly think for some anons they very much would value making use of the outcome much, MUCH more than stopping the bad thing. I think anyone who isn't willing to completely throw the good out with the bad has already made their stance clear that they do in fact value the good more than the bad, and will quietly and cowardly refuse to engage with the question of whether or not they're culpable for bad shit they're advantaged by letting happen
>>93485380I feel like Silver would more fit the Galahad archtype-he's got the whole Chosen One thing going on, quest for the holy grail/save the future, magical mysterious powers that nobody else in Arthurian Mythos gets.
>>93485367The idea that you can only make use of something in a scientific field if it comes from some altruistic magical happy land where people only do things in a way that nobody can object to is so fucking stupid. May as well go back to living in the dirt since houses and money were made by people using capitalism. Or try all white people for 1% of them having slaves back in the day.
>>93485371>>93485385???
>>93485383Of course you value good more than bad dipshit but that doesnt mean you let the bad off without punishment. You cannot stop all evil but that does not mean you should stop all good because it comes from a bad place, do you murder people for what their parents did too?
>>93485387Capitalism is based and good, though.
>>93485349Alester is evil and made AC, Misaki beneficies from AC, Misaki is morally repugnant, since she's responsible for what she beneficies from.
>>93485383I agree bro. We should start killing everybody. That way all the bad people will die. Some people might let evil people get away with shit otherwise.
>>93485387Okay but be honest with yourself, you would own slaves if it were legal. You don't actually have any problem with any of that shit other people did and you'd do it all again personally if it were required to get back all of the stuff we currently have should it ever be lost. If civilization collapsed tomorrow and the only want to restore it were repeating all of the sins that got us here in the first place, you either would or would not be okay with that. And choosing to let other people commit those sins unopposed IS acceptance.
>>93485390>Mordred is secretly a girlAnd the Fate connections keep growing...
>>93485394I agree mostly but it has been a cause of bad for some people. Money is a goal some people will do anything for. Anything can be bad and has had bad things done for it in the past.
>>93485387>Or try all white people for 1% of them having slaves back in the day. They way we are going...
>>93485397>Okay but be honest with yourself, you would own slaves if it were legal. No I wouldnt? Why would I want that hassle? If I haf to rebuild civilization I dont know if I could do it but I could avoid some of the major evils simply by having a framework and basic tech tree to work from. Hell theres even books made on how to do this.
>>93485367Being a knowing direct beneficiary and an indirect one makes all the difference. Taking Orochimaru's knowledge to aid others is the only choice - whoever benefits from the later treatments from that knowledge is innocent from it. However its very different for those that straight up know how that knowledge came to be (the loss of several innocent lives) yet obtain gains from it.Its a moral dilemma for a reason. When faced with such options one has to either agree with the outcome of repugnant actions being a net positive that wasn't possible with more ethical methods, or disagree and willingly ignore the possibility of using that knowledge to help others. In both cases you stop being innocent. Regardless of your choice. You can only do what's best for others.>>93485368Great argument. >>93485375I mean, nothing wrong with a moral flexible point, but there's a difference between owning that and pretending to be the good guy no matter what.>>93485395Aleister is shit and you as well, mostly cause Aleister's magic fucked up people perception of AC and what happens within.
>>93485383Nta but that isn't the question, the system is exploitable but the question was if it's wrong by itself.

We are talking about someone who has acted perfectly. If they aren't a good guy, your framework is fundamentally broken.
>>93484974>To be fair, the truck-military complex isn't a bad thing if everyone, EVERYONE unilaterally agrees that more trucks are always a good thingThat's not what I'm talking about. >>93485413>If I haf to rebuild civilization I dont know if I could do it but I could avoid some of the major evils simply by having a framework and basic tech tree to work from. Hell theres even books made on how to do this. You're missing my point. My argument is that, should you be forced to start over with history and the only way forward is to reenact all of the tragedies of history in detail down to every murder and rape, then you would either decide you're okay with that or decide history doesn't deserve to happen. It's a strict binary choice
>>93485414>Aleister is shit and you as well, mostly cause Aleister's magic fucked up people perception of AC and what happens within.>It's not moral, despite him not being the one that made the research, as he becomes a beneficiary of itYou argue that using the result of evilis evil, so Misaki is evil.
>>93485333Don't know exactly how I got the powerwanker label, but thanks
>>93485430To deal with Eggman's bots, obviously. It needs to be at least this stronk to have a chance of dealing with Eggman's shit.
>>93485435>either decide you're okay with that or decide history doesn't deserve to happen. If I had the ability to rewrite history then it really DOESNT need to happen as it did. Again your argument comes from the point that a person is either morally repugnant or an equally evil omnipotent being. Your argument is flawed.

>>93485446Torture is easier than making someone good.

>>93485448One day. One fucking day. I'll make a Fleetway jump.
>>93485445Anon, it's a strict binary choice. Either the universe completely ceases to exist and nothing ever happened, or you commit every single wrongdoing in all of human history and also have every single wrongdoing brought upon you. This is your choice, you must personally advance civilization to create the world that currently exist by doing the work of every single man and women ever born up to here, including all of the needless violence and suffering, or you simply choose not to suffer and cause suffering in turn, achieving nirvana by realizing you don't exist and neither does anything else.
>>93485466Exactly your argument is bullshit.
>>93485448She'd probably have a cool scene where she inadvertantly becomes the hero when Super Sonic goes off his nut again. Maybe befriend some of the side characters as a result. She is somehow only slightly more caustic than regular Sonic and a lot more dependable to not randomly trash stuff, so she gets accepted into the fold. She and Sonic never actually become friends and somehow everyone is just fine with this.
>>93485471It's not an argument, it's a rhetorical question. It's technically not even that, because it's actually meant to be answered.
>>93485427>The framework of morality is wrong if I don't have a way to be the good guy alwayslollmao, evenNigga, face reality, not everyone can always have a perfect answer. You certainly won't.>>93485437>You argue that using the result of evilis evil, so Misaki is evil.No. I argue that exists a moral dilemma with neither option being free of responsibility. There are several such dilemmas, take for example an average person obtaining highly classified information by several governments, lets say that God is real but he fucking hates humanity and wants to end it in a couple years. He not only has this new information, but also unshakable proof of it. Should the man tell people the truth, show them the proof of a hateful god and let them decide (knowing this will likely result on a lot of shit)? or should the man become complicit on the lie, letting people go on without knowing the truth and die suddenly in a couple years? The answer will only depend on your own values. About truth and freedom vs peace. In no case you're exempt from the guilt of your own actions however. Whatever you choose, you must own to it. Or, since you mention ToAru, should you make the PCP available for all nations? Knowing that its basically child torture and that there's a hard cap on how much can powers be developed for most? And that's without taking into account the magic side
>>93485478Bullshit. Your entire question boils down to you proclaiming that everyone is evil because if they were not evil they would just let themselves die.
>>93485466Nta but your question stopped making sense for multiple reason. It became "is humanity justified to exist" wich in no way is coherent to the argument at hand, and the answer is obviously I let everything burn because I'm not capable enough to emulate what every person ever did.
>>93485495Taking responsibility for something you have no part in is just being an idiot.
>>93485495You were unironically a lawfag when playing smt werent you. Real punish the sons for the sins of the father type.
>>93485495>The framework of morality is wrong if I don't have a way to be the good guy alwaysLiterally yes. People fail to be perfect, but if there is no way in a given situation for a person to act morally, then the system you are using to judge them is internally borked. If anything, that real life is complicated and perfect answers don't exist should mean that a framework should be MORE lenient, not less.
>>93485498Well, yes. You are evil, because you want to live and won't let something like morality stop you from living. You now know that about yourself. Don't be offended, all it means is that you value yourself more than the suffering of countless other people, you should use that as a source of motivation and confidence. Life your life knowing that when push comes to shove, you can take anything the world throws at you and hit back just as hard, up to and including genocide. Be proud of your own mental strength.
Man I miss when ric was having a brain hemorrhage, it was quieter then. And the thread had less image spam. And yes I know Im morally not on the good side saying that.
>>93485511>You are evil just by existingNah fuck you.
>>93485495The problem is that you haven't brought a single reason for why it's immoral to use information to benefit humanity, regardless of the source, if you were saying that it depends since morality is abstract I would actually agree but you said it's immoral, so arguing it's evil.to answer the last question no, just like I wouldn't use Orochimaru's experiment to torture childrens, I would use that knowledge to the best of my abilities to make something moral out of it. (or rather my jumper would, since I'm a lazy POS).
>>93485461Even though the amount of material to sift through is a bit daunting, I still believe that you can do it anon. One step at a time.>>93485474An anon of similar wavelengths! Thats more or less how I expect her interactions with Sonic & the gang to go.
>>93485503For the sake of actually answering the question as simply yes or no, you should take it for granted that you totally can in fact commit every single murder throughout all of history by yourself. Let's just assume, as the meaningless background framework form how the scenario works, that all humans are reincarnations of one soul looping back and forth throughout time, and you have the choice to live out the entire continuum of human history as your future or simply terminate the process.

>>93485528There are several reasons, from the fact that its a slippery slope when it comes to justifying later practices, the disregard of the victims, the hypocrisy between actions and results, etc. None of them matter however because they question if its morally right and its not because anon is being a twat about it.>>93485504Let me introduce you to the term "accomplice" and its several subdivisions >>93485507I do not know what smt is in your zoomer lingo, but have at you. Also a kid benefiting from their family running some evil business is very different from you being the mayor of that town and getting direct and indirect personal benefits from such practices. The former has no idea of what's happening nor reasonable ways to stop it. The latter has, as well as a responsibility to do it - and that's the difference. >>93485510That could be an argument if anon hadn't given a moral framework to work with at the start, which is utilitarianism from a modern viewpoint, and the answer is that not only he isn't morally correct, but also that he's a shit.
>>93485554I agree that it might be a little off topic but I'm arguing for my jumper, since I wouldn't do anything , since I'm cowardly and lazy, so it's useful for the chain.

>>93485566>That could be an argument ifSo you have essentially conceded my point, and have shifted to which moral framework to use, which is irrelevant to that point. >>93485584That's true.

I don't plan on ever releasing their research even if I keep it because the research is for weaponizing the human body and brainwashing and shit. Given that the rest of the planet has given up its last bit of sanity, Jumper decides to bring out his own weapons of mass destruction to put a quick end to the global conflict. I suppose the aftermath is a good opportunity to test how good my anti-radiation tech has gotten? Now, since this is the last of his PGS jumps I’m almost tempted to go into a critique of their setups. I’d love to ask Cenanon what the fuck he was thinking about when making various design choices. But that would just be me ranting into the void, given that he is long gone (and I’ve mentioned my thoughts in replies to previous PGS jumps already anyway).Who knows, now that Paradox seems to be moving into the next generation/iteration of their game lineup, we might get a few sequel jumps eventually.

As mentioned, this was the halfway point in my backlog. I'm probably going to take a break so I don't burn out, but I've said that several times before, so I also might not. Depends on how motivated I feel. The thing about me and jumpmaking is that I have immense difficulty switching out of jumpmaking mode once I'm in it. Like there's this weird transition period where I've been so hyper-fixated on jumpmaking for so long that I briefly forget how I used to spend my freetime when I'm not working on jumps.

>>93485968Right at the start of the build? The Excrucian Host/Heaven or a similarly united faction of Imperators putting their undivided attention into crushing you. Remember, Scholar and Drums don't make you God/The Number One Void King right off the bat, they take time to ramp up. So you're just an unusually buff and destructive cosmic entity right at the start. And Lore alone mentions that there is a chance, even if it's situational and uncertain, for even a regular Strategist to catch and bind a Transcendent being on their own so I imagine the united efforts of an entire Imperator faction would be problematic (This is offset by MOST Imperators being, as a rule, individualistic and self-absorbed. Honestly I think Heaven being dominant in Creation has as much to do with Heaven having a hierarchy as Heaven being strong because they're beautiful)

So I was thinking of making a suit builder for the Ultraman suits but then I realized that the Anime and Manga handles them differently. In the anime every suit has the suit teleport onto the user by default whereas in the manga they need to manually put them on for the most part. Should I just scrap that idea and make the suits a tiered purchase?
>>93486056Looks boring and inferior to Shigure.
>>93486049While the jump allow you to normally it wouldn't be enough, it's necessary to have the chakra of those two, wich means be the reincarnation of one and get the chakra from the reincarnation of the other, like madara, reincarnation of indra getting Hashirama's, reincarnation of Ashura, cells, or receive power from an Otsutsuki, like Sasuke, reincarnation of Indra, receiving power from Hagoromo, or the Jubi Jinchuriki, who hold Kaguya's power. More recently the Shinju had normal rinnegans, being the avatars of the jubi.

>>93485988Im going to open an apartment complex in gotham where the new people moving in gets a care package of a safety filter straw kit, a gas mask, and a gun.
>>93485907personally I dont believe that it would develop into a Mangekyo or a Rinnegan, but rather strengthen the Sharingan enomrously, making it more chakra efficient and potentially even allow more liberate usages of Izanagi and Izanami(maybe just a high chakra cost instead of losing the eye).
>>93485970Get a Fiat Revelli Modello 1914 or 1935 and put a scope on it.
>>93486109Hey man thats still solid
>>93486076I am not familiar with the setting, but if there is decent variation among the power of suits, then a builder would probably be more fun.The teleporting vs putting the suit on thing, could probably just be left out of it though, and be left up for a continuity toggle/drawback or however you handle people choosing to be in the anime or manga.
>>93486097It's hard to create a threat assessment around a faction that barely feels like it exists in the setting. In their proper introduction to Nobilis by 3e, the Zu's greatest achievements seem to be defensive. They've got this mountain the Imperators and their agents cannot or will not interfere with. There's little stated about how many offensive victories they have, but given the Zu's espoused goal is freedom from divine control that suggests as much that the Zu try to choose their battles as that given how little care either Imperators of Excrucians have for the Zu that they're comparatively insignificant. It is hinted that the Zu's power comes from a dead thing they're crowding around like scavengers. If that sounds like there is something hypocritical about the Zu cause and they're just channeling power from a dead transcendental being, that's probably because it's meant to sound like it. But the hint comes from a particular lie-happy Excrucian.
...Anyways, Shadow Queen Peach is peak fucking aesthetic and I will hear nothing to the contrary.

So. The Fae are bastards. That seems pretty consistent, right? Are there any Fae that, rather than just killing them all, need a good King or other tard wrangler to actually make them productive, good, and competent?
>>93484682>>93485620Unfortunately, all of this happened while I was asleep. From what I know of the lore (which is obscure on purpose, so you have to go digging for it) I can reasonably say the following:First, keeping their research in your back pocket might not be a bad idea. The Charities seem hell-bent on the idea that they're hard people making hard decisions, and that humanity will see that they were right in the end; it's implied that they're preparing for a future threat to humanity as a whole that they believe that only they can stop/prevent.Secondly, not everyone in AGLAIA is completely irredeemable. Angelica's stood against the rest of the board before, angling for "Hey, even if this is necessary, can we maybe do it a little less hilariously immorally?", and Dr. Wickeline is fundamentally a victim: She was a first-generation test subject who signed on with AGLAIA both to ease the pain of other test subjects and to try to finish the work as quickly as possible so that everyone can be released. Also she's almost completely insane due to trauma. Both of them could probably be persuaded to surrender themselves to tradition justice rather than having to be cut down.Thirdly, and this is something Shard didn't address in his build: Some of the people that AGLAIA blackbagged (Jackie jumps out here, but there are others) are genuine threats to society in one way or another and absolutely should not be returned to civilian populaces under any circumstances.Fourthly, their research into ARCH Cells and Cellular Reconstruction is a pretty neat early-chain healing factor/resurrection kit. Even if you think the research is tainted and don't want to use it, though, Hyperloops and cool and fairly innocent.I look forward to your build, though! I always enjoy builds, they're great motivation to keep working on my jumps.

If I were to kidnap some Skaven infants and raise them to be sane, rational, and compassionate beings without them ever being exposed to natural Skaven culture or influence-even blocking off divine/mystical influence from reaching them-would they grow up to NOT be evil? When he's chill the Children of Oberon are actively relatively good neighbours for a group of hoighty-toighty pure magic beings that were worshipped by mortals once and continue to look down on them. They have a very strict self-isolation policy which also has some convenient loopholes they mostly use to make life easier for everyone (including themselves), to the extent Puck was only allowed to keep hanging around Xanatos in his mortal butler guise.Likewise, the People in Artemis Fowl are...first world nation-tier, that's how I'd put it. I'm still mildly surprised you didn't pick up the autistic chess waifu while you were there, and morbidly curious as to what could actually persuade Battler to actually pop Bottomless Pit, since you picked it up-- and what new perspectives (and/or psychological trauma) he might gain from the temporary separation (and inexorable reintegration) of Battler the ordinary human and Battler the all-consuming cosmic tyrant.
>Psykers have a strong presence in The Warp. >Nulls have no presence in The Warp. >Blanks have an inverted presence in The Warp. Do you think it'd be possible using some OCP soul manipulation to wrangle a 40k creature's soul so it's contained to its physical self? I.e. it'd have a soul but no presence in the Warp, like a null.
>>93486633>inverted presenceThe hell does that mean?
>>93486645Where there would be Warp-stuff, there's a Warp-void.
>>93486653Shouldn't that make them easy to be noticed?

>>93486571No. Also transcends are backed up by secret chiefs.
>>93486668Blanks are very easy to notice: Their psychically-consumptive presence and possible lack of a soul makes them instinctively uncomfortable and unnerving to be around for normal people, and actively painful for psykers. There's a whole branch of the Officio Assassinorum in 40k dedicated to weaponizing powerful Blanks, such that their mere presence is enough to send sorcerers into agonizing, gibbering madness.

I was so infuriated by the sheer inefficiency of the entire project that I just sent everyone home out of disgust with what a waste of resources the whole thing was.>to actually pop Bottomless PitThere's this New Gods comic where against all reason and logic, Darkseid builds a machine that lets him violate and become one with the Source itself. Whether a drawback inner enemy or, I dunno, something on the level of Naraka from Aditya (it's the prequel to Dies Irae about the first version of the universe and the inexplicably horrific identity-eating monster that thinks of Hadou Gods as kiddie meals) using his gimmick, I would use this perk like the p53 tumour suppressor gene for fiat-level cosmic assimilation to confuse whatever's trying to integrate into me by having my overself vanish-and leave them stuck in a confused, practical but introverted dude that occasionally goes ballistic in response to metaphysical trauma. >>93487031Impossible, Touma instinctively Imagine Breakers away any situation where he could have a sexual encounter.
>>93487078Whistling can be done with both inhaling and exhaling. Its easy, let me help.First, take a deep breath in and out. Do it a few times and get a feel for how much force and pressure the breath has. When you whistle you should be using a breath of that intensity, maybe slightly less. Next, hold your lips into a firm circle. not too tights, just enough to feel a little give in your lips when you blow in and out, and make sure your lips are curled inwards and not trumpeted outwards.Next, lift your tongue up slightly and start moving it around back and forth in your mouth. As you lightly blow through your mouth, start moving it into different places until you get the sound you want. Higher pitches will see your tounge close to your teeth, while lower pitches will go deeper to the throught and maybe involve lowering your jaw more.>>93487107It might be that, or it could just be your putting not the right level of strenn on your lips/mouth. Or maybe you need to work the jaw some. Or you may just have poor breath control. Not everyone has decent breath control, but if you get to practicing your singing it can translate to having good control for whistling. Anyway try adjusting your lip tightness and breath control some to match your mouth better, maybe even jaw position some. Just keep at it and, barring some incredibly rare and almost unheard of genetic flaw, you should be able to figure it out.

If a jump have a magical space where spending 1 months inside equal 1 day outside. Alternatively, there’s also Fairy Tail celestial world where a day inside equal a month outside. Which would count toward the 10 years? The normal time or the alter down time
>>93487310I would say the time you experience, but do as it makes the most sense for your chain.
>>93487310I'd say an objective ten years, but its a single player imagination game
>>93487310Whichever takes longer.
>>93487310Your call. Stuff like that usually falls to personal houserules. I would say that the external time is what matters, since the whole point of having a set duration in a jump is so you'll at least be around for the main plot.
NTA, but are there any hyperbolic time chamber-esque options with no real time limit? Like rather than time being dilated, it's just stopped outright, allowing for an indefinite amount of training in an instant.
>>93487310External time. It's too open to abuse if the jumper has the ability to control jump duration by hopping in a time chamber.
>>93487356Time Locks from Halo Forerunner Saga?>The Forerunners have their own versions for putting things into stasis, as well as reverse time locks which can speed up the time within to such a level that millions of years pass inside as seconds pass outside. The time lock field is only about the size of a particularly large room. You receive two of these. The first is the traditional time lock like used by the humans. The second is a forerunner reverse time lock.

>>93487310Speaking of Fairy Tail. Alchemy is an alternate power system to magic that exists out there like the curses of Zeref's demons but it isn't mentioned once in the jump. Does the jump omit alchemy on purpose or am I supposed to buy it as a magic style for 100/200?
>>93487310Relative to internal time:>Can use as an escape hatch to leave the jump early and avoid interacting with the setting. >Gives jumper control over a meta element of the chain. >Still gives you 10+ years to train/relax/craft/study/etc. in peace. >Very unlike how most narratives handle the matter, i.e. as "free time" that lets the character take care of tedious tasks like training without taking out screen-time they could use to interact with other characters. Relative to external time: >Actually lets you interact with the setting. >Can theoretically be invaded or destroyed by enemies. >More similar to how it's used in most media. IMO, in terms of narrative and balance, external time is the clear winner. External time seems the most broken at first, but realistically a jumper can do everything with IT that you can with ET because either way you still have a shitload of relative time to use as you please. There are also likely to be limits to what you can accomplish by just adding more time without trainers and teachers, and you can't gain experience against intelligent opponents in a real-stakes scenario for the most part. Learning and training suffer from diminishing returns at some point, so you're not necessarily going to come out of every session with a massive power boost. If you only care about the advantage given to your jumper, the real gigabrained move is to take one of each (the original SCP jump rules the time chamber there works on objective time, so there's always at least one that works that way regardless of how you generally houserule it to work).
>>93487576The jump is older than the arc alchemy was introduced.

>>93487310>>93487584 (me)There's also the fact that with subjective time, you can just have companions or followers use it and still reap most of the benefits of objective time. And you yourself can still benefit massively from Peter's Genius, from stuff he probably will figure out on the side. Dude has invented some pretty crazy stuff in hours before. So even if he only works a fraction of the time he's likely gonna be worth the investment. If you want you can also approach him "to get you in contact with spider-man" and then just offer to monetize his image properly, stuff like establishing a social media presence, making merch, sponsoring him and getting him sponsorship from others, maybe having him appear in some ads or as guest in podcasts and tv shows and the like, to help his public image.
As a side note since the dragonblood jumps on my mind I've run into a question a bit of trying to organize Origins. I got Drop in, Lookshy, The Realm and outcaste as origins but... should I make specializations like a martial artist or sorcerer and the like a secondary origin or just fit them in for general perks? Was thinking a second set as a specialty but I dont want to bite off more then I can chew.
>>93488213I'd say go with the general section, if you end up wanting to go for Secondary origins that wouldn't lead to any wasted work while if you start on the secondary origins and then decide it's a bad idea you'll likely have ended up doing a bunch of work that's hard to repurpose.
>>93488059nta, but there was that one elseworld story I liked where it showed how Peter's life would have been if he never got bitten by the spider. It's shown that he would have been home when the burgler broke into their house, and threw himself infront of Uncle Ben to take the bullet, with Ben surviving disarming the burglar and beating him up. Peter ends up crippled, needing to walk with crutches.Though this is also when his life turns around, as Flash Thompson impressed by his heroism, triest to befriend him, making him sit with the popular kids, give Flash tutoring and becoming his best friend, and properly dating Liz Allan. He still gets involved in Superhero stuff, as without a Spider-Man taking care of villains, Cindy Moon/Silk steps up, and Peter impressed by her seeks her out and offers to help her, making her gadgets that help her defeat villains and becomes her guy in the chair.
>>93488197>then just offer to monetize his image properly, stuff like establishing a social media presence, making merch, sponsoring him and getting him sponsorship from others,If you do that, can you sue JJ for slander when he writes bad stories about Spiderman? And in know someone makes dolls and stuff of him, does Spider Man not own the rights to his own image?
>>93488120>Plus Multiplayer is a must haveWhy? I played MHW almost totally solo. Heck, I only just went into multiplayer this past month to finally try my hand at the Kulve and Safi sieges. Monster Hunter is totally playable and decent to play as a solo player outside of sieges, perhaps some time running missions on your own with just you and your Palico may be a good idea
>>93488294It's not as fun though.
>>93488005Spider-Man could start a Patreon and become a millionaire instantly. Like, everyone in New York loves him.
>>93488294NTA but some people suck at the game and use multiplayer as a crutch. I personally far prefer solo play, but I know people like that who ask me to help them with hunts.
>>93488292>If you do that, can you sue JJ for slander when he writes bad stories about Spiderman?defamation laws in the US are pretty strict. You'd have to prove all his claims to be lies, prove that he knew them to be false and prove that the lies resulted in financial damages(like fewer people buying your merch and companies refusing to work with you, because of his claims), but assuming all that is done, yeah he'd owe Spidey a big payout.>And in know someone makes dolls and stuff of him, does Spider Man not own the rights to his own image?I am not that familiar with that kind of law, but from what I understand that the moment you start commercially using your trademark, you need to defend it to keep it, so it may not be considered valid if Spider-Man has been active for years without saying anything against it.
>>93488005Onlyfans takes a 30% cut, then after you take your cut as his manage, and taxes there wont be much left for him.
>>93488344I had fun, plus it felt great to have my 1v1 against a new monster, dudging around and getting hit uintil finally i have my "I get it" / "Moveset downlaoded" moment where I finally get the feal of the monster and then finally take it down. It feels so much more rewarding to fight a monster, get beaten down, before finally perfecting your strategy and getting to the point where you can reliably hunt a monster with no deaths and very few potions consumed. Then again, I play Glaive, which i feel is probably just uniquely made to be very good at solo play, since healing powders and extracts are surprisingly useful through many fights, so that's probably coloring my perception of solo play.
>>93488405NTA but every weapon can be good in solo play, though I'd argue that something like longsword is more solo play coded than anything else. Especially in Rise. Holy fucking counters batman.
From the Forgotten Realms Jump>Races>Your Race costs 100CP x CR of your Race if your Races CR is less than 1 round it up to 1. If your race would cost 100CP it is free.Would you say its okay to use racial templates? Like I want my jumper to start as Human Based Bone Create(basically an intelligent skeleton), which would have a CR of 1,5. Also would you just round this up to 2 CR making it cost 100CP or just keep it at 50CP?
>>93488213Keep them general perks and let us take one specialization at a discount.
>>93488292I believe slander is complicated because you would have to prove he published false information and prove he knew it was false, while also needing to provide proof of damages cause by it. Copyright would also be complicated, but more doable, you can trademark the Spiderman brand to include costume, spider symbol and his name.
>>93488253Thats reasonable. I think I'll do that for now. Thanks anon. Have a rough item description while I'm here. The manuals of power Volume I-The dragonblooded: -100Huh? You have something strange here jumper. A book describing creation and the lives of many of the books namesake as if it was a game. Not sure how useful this could be to you but perhaps it might be an interesting read or perhaps you'd want to play a game with your companions? Be careful who you show this to. A fair few within the immaculate order would call a book like this heretical and even outside it it may raise questions on where you got it.

>>93488446Its a lot of fun, but honestly world feels better to me. The world and the monsters just don't feel as real in rise as they do in world. And while the additional movement and combo options are awesome and allow some really really fun gameplay it just doesn't feel as gritty to me. I would still say play it if you are a fan of the franchise. It is a good MH game, I just liked world better and find myself returning to it.

>>93488852I think the "least bad" jump he made was his Bleach collab with BLADE. X-Men Evolution, Flow, Sidekicks, and Record of a Fallen Vampire are all brimming with wank. Well, actually, Sidekicks was mostly acceptable except for the Triad Prana iirc. Has he even made anything else?
>>93488852People are remembered by their worst, and all it takes is one bad jump for everything else to be disregarded. Just like how people here hate dirge jumps so they assume all of his jumps are the same when in reality they can't name more than five jumps he might have made. Same thing with Beast, same thing with OAA, whoever else has been once labelled as the worst jumpmaker.
>>93488877I figured Evolution was his 'decent' jump, I don't think anything in that has ridiculous wank.
>>93488891Eh, fair enough. It does let you easily be a ridiculous character by the standards of the setting, but most of it is supported by the source material. Which puts it in the "not worse than a lot of /tg/ jumps" category.

>>93489124Nta but I will never understand your criteria for who is a loser or a jobber and who isn't.
>>93484151Well, it's not mechanical, but something I've recently noticed is that's it's very rare for jumps to actually explain what the source material actually is. As in, something like "Jippity Crip is a traditionally-published novel released in 2018 by Fora Deez. It features a protagonist who...The book has been recently re-released with a foreword by renowned author Hackson Trine." Yeah, the intro usually makes most of the information redundant, but with some things (especially single-word titles like Pale), it can be hard to know if you've even found the right IP. It gets worse the more obscure something is.

>>93489448Shoot. It's also probably the most undercooked section due to its complexity; I try to try something new with each jump I build, so ER got (among other things) a custom power building section. The simplest way to think about it is that since ER is a battle royale/MOBA hybrid, you're designing a kit for you as a MOBA character, themed around whatever you took for Exceptionalism.

I didn't have an option to download a better AI and I didn't want to take the time to develop oneSo I'm going the simple route and picking up the boosted Summoning Sinatra so my Eleanors can learn over time on their own. This unfortunately means having to come to a setting that's rather significantly higher power than I like and has a plot that's virtually impossible to actually interact with, but it'll be worth it.

They're doggos though, so their personalties are all going to be some flavour of happy, playful, and energetic. They're also specifically guard dogs, so there's going to be some doting big sisterness in them. And they must be of at least one category of Offense, Defense, Utility, ect. but they can be multiple types if I pay an additional surcharge of 50 per. Correct? As my Exceptionalism is obviously support oriented, every one of my chosen abilities should have a utility function. How do Secondary Effects and Form Change differ in practice? I understand how they're supposed to work, one is additional functions and the other is a transformation where the abilities are swapped for something else, but how are they different in the way I build them? Does Form Change take up an Active ability slot?

>>93490134They would all accept a new planet, it's stupid you even need to ask if they would accept it. It would probably start a war for the moon, Mars and Venus would be once the moon is setup given the distance and travel time involved. That's not to say there wouldn't be a couple ships sent so they can try and plant a flag to claim ownership, just that no one would accept that and there wouldn't be any mass movement towards them early on. It'd be much easier once the moon is set up to use as a springboard given the lower gravity. Venus would be the preferable planet over Mars though given how earthlike the conditions will be when compared to Mars. Also it doesn't need some kind of long term planning due to one of it's moons slowly but inexorably falling towards the planet.

>>93485884>Huh. I'd question why they're so...quiet and why Eggman doesn't have his own human extremist nation or something. Because Eggman doesn't give a shit about people. This is his most consistent character trait, that he thinks people are expendable and worthless and that only his 'flawless' machines matter. This got to the point that even in Archie, he viewed all the Overlanders (the mutated descendants of humanity post-gene bombing) as being equally expendable and ultimately meaningless in his pursuit of dominating all life, despite 99% of Overlanders hating Mobians.
>>93490127>Movie Sonic is the only one who can and will murder you with zero hesitation.Sonic agreed to murder King Arthur 20 minutes after meeting him and Merlina
>>93490202Game Sonic saw the dudeznd he was a giant spooky armored demon man. Game Sonic is perfectly willing to kill demons and monsters with zero hesitation but generally doesn't try to kill people intentionally. Wachowski doesn't care who or what you are, he'll go for the throat even if you're a regular squishy human that CAN'T survive a supersonic punch through the skull if he believes you're totally irredeemable.
>>93489769Yes, you can split your VFP across up to 5 abilities, 4 active and 1 passive, with each having at least one type. Your math is mathing, as well. For a couple examples re: Secondary Effect vs. Form change:Adela's powers revolve around summoning and attacking with her chess pieces, which synergize with each other and allow her to prepare ground for favorable fights. Her Castling ability lets her throw out a Rook in a straight line to cause damage while also reactivating her Pawns for extra hits. Once it's out, though, she can recast the ability to swap places with her Rook via teleportation as a Secondary Effect: You'd build both powers separately (Offense/Utility for the attack, Mobility/possibly Defense for the teleport, idr if it actually buffs her) and then add their costs together as if they were one ability.Irem has a Form Change, because she's a catgirl that can shapeshift into a literal cat: Her human-form abilities are completely separate from her cat-form abilities, so she pays 50 VFP to turn one of her abilities into a toggle to swap between forms (her passive IIRC) and then gets to split her VFP across 9 abilities (8 active and 1 passive) instead of 5.
I know Darksiders is one of our oldest jumps, but how does it still hold up?
>>93490239So Form Change is an ability in an of itself with its own attributes? So it would have necessarily have the typing of Offense or Utility or whatever, and also have a Power and Range and Cooldown? I guess it would always have Self range since it's a transformation.
>>93490258It's not bad, I think the actual Nephilim drawbacks are a tad annoying but they fit the in setting lore and do make sense from that perspective. The Maker stuff is pretty nice and normally what I go for just to avoid those drawbacks. I think one of the swords is locked behind a drawback which is another annoying thing, not read it in a while so might be wrong, but that also kinda fits in setting. It's perfectly jumpable, always has been, and doesn't have any of the other sillier things some of the older jumps have, like the Fallout and Alien blanket power restrictions from back when there was an attempt at keeping you from just shitting on a setting from the get go with all the OCP stuff a jumper would have.
>>93490258I always go Maker there and those perks are still solid.
>>93488002>picI'd be tootin' the doots too if the World version of the theme was playing where I could hear it... at least if I could get over the PTSD of the first few encounters where I had no idea how not to get bodied in 20 seconds or less by that thing across 3 games and counting now.
>>93490274Form Change is an Effect attribute applied to one of your abilities for 50 VFP, which lets you have up to 4 additional abilities and swap between sets when you use it.Estelle's transforming shield is weirder, edge-casier example: Activating her shield barrier and then charging with it on recast would normally just be a Secondary Effect, but it also changes another one of her abilities when she does so (turning her shield slam into her AoE water spray), so it counts as a Form Change and she pays an extra 50 VFP for having 6/7 abilities instead of 5.

>>93490740>I am not suggesting to use it to regrow body parts mid battle, but more to use your direct control over your body and anatomic knowledge to make the right cells grow what they need to in the right way to regrow them over time. Then I think that would be fine then anon, though it would be far from fast
>>93490555I was half joking originally but you probably should take your meds and lay off the internet for a while.
I've never played Chrono Trigger, but I'm curious. What exactly is Lavos?
>>93490792Alien living in/connected to/controlling a bioship in the form of a giant spikey tick that burrows into a planet's surface, guides the evolution of life on those planets, absorbs these growths and evolutions, and then eventually emerges and harvests the world its on, draining it of life and producing spawn who will repeat the cycle. Can potentially become a time eating eldritch abomination if you count Chrono Cross as canon, which a lot of people don't like doing because it's a huge middle finger to the cast of the original game, killing them all off and making it so that their efforts were meaningless.
>>93490831I always fealt chrono cross was just lavos splitting off a couple timelines of its own to fuck off too.
>>93490555Ric, if you've been drinking don't use the pills. If you HAVEN'T then put the fucking computer down and go take your meds you moron.
>>93490465Another question, are Channeling and Delayed also locked for Continuous abilities, like how Cooldown doesn't apply?
>>93490792Time-fucking alien parasite with a multilayered body that goes from shell to false core to two additional false cores and finally a central nucleus that controls all of the above. It moves from world-to-world, nurturing the evolution of life on each victim planet through its overwhelming levels of mana for the sole purpose of a richer harvest then emerges when the time is ripe to reap it all and birth spawn who will disperse and continue the cycle of destruction on new worlds. Unfortunately for it, the planet in Chrono Trigger is an eldritch abomination in its own right and is fully capable of playing grabass with timelines to set up circumstances that will lead to Lavos' downfall.>>93490878No, Lagos actually fucking died. It just got sent to the End of Time, which is where people and things who are erased from time are sent, basically the dumpster of the Chrono Trigger/Cross multiverse. It got sent there along with all the people who were never born, every decision never made, etc. Lavos being what he is adapted to that but also fused with Schala which not only enabled it to feed off of all the dead timelines, the nonexistent histories, the people who never were and so on, but infused it with a genuine ill will to see the entire multiverse unmade to make up for being slaughtered by its own cattle.
>>93490181Not Shard, but unreturned spirits willfully joining you is something that happens quite a lot in Elden Ring. Latenna is obvious. But there are also a variety of bosses who join you after killing them as well, such as Tricia and Hugues. It's not like they're slaves, after all. They join and fight with you of their own accord and can even think and take proactive action on their own. For example, Roderika tells you that Aurelia the Spirit Jellyfish would "be glad of your company" and a few others are noted to have relationships with you. The Wings of the Storm, Oleg and Engvall, swear their loyalty to you after death. Likewise, Bloodhound Knight Floh is implied to have acknowledged you as the true master he failed to find in life. The Tarnished is actually leading a ghost army by the end of the game. Which is pretty funny when you think about it in lore terms.
>>93491057What perk would even cover that?
>>93490591Did you just call Gohanposter a fucking shitposter?
>>93490935They probably should be, yeah. I tried thinking of a counter example in Irem's passive (she has a memorable kit), where she gains buffs after being in a single area for a certain period of time, which would qualify for Channeling, but that's also Triggered rather than Continuous.

>>93491140How much money are you planning to go for? Slot machine jackpots can be pretty big.
>>93491206As much as I can get without it being obvious that I'm cheating, would two dots be enough to grab a slot machine's jackpot?
>>93491182I dunno, I tried him out against Consrot Radahn, and he just folded like an omelet. Plus if he ever gets hit in the back his health melts away. Then again I don't like using summons to face either human sized enemies or Bussy Supreme. The latter because the added defense summoning gives the boss makes it too hard for me to pass the DPS race against him. And the former because i feel like the added defense and changes in aggro ai makes fighting person sized bosses too inconsistent for me and makes it harder to get the timing right to get in good hits and staggers
>>93491057But like, they're not ghosts? Latenna is alive. That's what's confusing. It's like Elden Ring runs on pokemon rules and no one said anything
>>93491250No, Latenna is absolutely dead. She even states outright at the end of her questline that she will fight alongside you to the end and asks that you lay her to rest next to her wolf after it's all over.
>>93491218Regardless of the game and methods a casino is going to notice quickly if you're getting exceedingly improbable wins, so you're going to want to, at the very least, switch establishments between jackpots. As for can you rig a slot machine with Entropy ••, I'm not sure but considering dots per my understanding are more qualitative than a measure of power then if you could force a win in roulette with that then you could probably do it with slot machines too.
>>93491110We don't, but you can pick them up in Baalbuddy or with OCP if you hit the crossover toggles in most of our Capcom jumps.
>>93491250I mean, i always interpreted it as Latenna being already close to death after what Gideon and his operatives did to her and her wolf pet, so when you come to her with the medallion, she probably willingly gave up the ghost to become a spirit.Heck, if you skip her and go straight to Leyndell and then come back later you'll find her dead there in front of her shack.

The idea here is that you would use 'Independent Review' to tag anyone in a zone, with the Secondary Effect that if anyone marked comes too close to you while the ability is active, then they lose the ability to attack you. However, you're also likewise restricted from attacking them. Auditing is Contingent on having marked targets to aim at but is an otherwise spammable stacking debuff, and has the effect of shortening the cooldown of Independent Review and the other abilities as I come up with them, also building up the Secondary Resource(Human Resources) for the Form Change as its used.
There are perks for making magic or flesh interchangeable with technology. Is there anything out there that would allow me to make all of my technology out of plants? Jumper has all these tech perks, but having all this metal and plastic lying around doesn't quite fit their aesthetic.

>>93491398I can't remember, but I had essentially combed and scoured the entire DLC over for loot and content, and had left Radahn for absolute last, so if not maxed then pretty close to max.In general though I found i had much better luck with summons like Ogha, Lhutel, and Oleg. Heck, Oleg was an absolute savior when it came to fighting the Putrescent Knight
>>93491305Tenchi Muyo and Voltron Legendary Defenders have plant-tech that even have a similar interface unit for larger scale implementations, so all you have to do is inorganic tech to biotech in that direction rather than going biotech toward other types of biomass. In theory you wouldn't even need to get the perks from those jumps with the plant-based tech unless you wanted to cultivate a few specimens to study before converting your hardware into greenware(?), or whatever you end up making with something like that.

At least, as long as his multiverse travel core ship is broken-and frankly, the ants can probably build you multiverse transit technology too given mere humans can.Slightly more inefficient alternative: Run a Thor build in MCU part 1, travel to the centre of the universe, open the door to Eternity (the key is the Bifrost; you can get that just by commissioning Stormbreaker from the dwarfs before Thanos genocides them and they start off thinking of Asgard as their righteous protectors) and wish for the TVA to fuck off. I've decided on how the Form Change should work. The idea being the cooldown on the Form Change is such that it can fire only when the Secondary Resource(Stress) is maxed. Form Change is a Secondary Effect, with the base ability being a greatly scaling speed buff that costs Stress over time whence activated. Thus the other two abilities change into a different state where they're Continuous and cost life to use, representing the unrelenting torture of being an industry regulator. >>93491726I picked up an ether drake from Stellaris. Poor thing was dying from a rare allergy to the laws of physics as currently understood. Fortunately, one of the civilisations my Vexpies brought salvation to was working on something called Project Cosmogenesis that if applied correctly could've potentially rewritten the laws of physics in a way that would've let them create a new universe a black hole and rewrite it to their specifications.Anyway, since I already have my own collection of universes I just altered the goal of the research to animal welfare, and used it to create a reality vaccine for my drake instead. And now there's a thriving population of them amongst my universes. Feegles, barely spaceflight capable civilisations, scrive-spinsters and small monstergirls alike use them as pack animals while travelling between planets.>>93491664Considering the temperament of some of my entourage, letting people murder on my behalf isn't an obligation. How likely is a JoJo Jumper to be able to survive going to Mortal Kombat?
How bad of an idea is it to do both Scenarios in Imperial Guard as a psyker? How much heat would a Psyker given actual command authority be dealing with?
>>93492014Exactly 50/50.
>>93492014Depends on your abilities. Assuming it was a logical world you'd think bald time lady could beat even most top tier Jojo characters, but it works off professional wrestling logic. Maybe the answer is to just be likable enough that you have to survive into the next game.
>>93492032With Sonic and the Black Knight's Soul Surge how often could it be used? Would it be something we could potentially use multiple times in a given fight or would that take OOC?
>>93492014It's kind of funny that they just casually bring up the fact that Cassie and Johnny can punch Elder Gods to death, and that's never brought up again in MK11. Even though Aftermath reveals that it's not actually THAT hard for Raiden to bully Kronika when she isn't using her hourglass, he just needs another god and Shang Tsung to join.
>>93492032>bald time ladyShe is honestly my biggest concern. I'd figure with enough experience in Hamon and the perks in MK itself I'd be able to survive the normal parts well enough, but its dealing with Kronika and worrying over her potentially targeting me that's the most concerning part since Time Powers are bullshit and I figure she'd get pissy if I do things like mess with her timeline or punch Shinnok in the dickOn a side note, are Fairies/The Fae a think in the MK universe>>93492045That's another good point, I guess if I have enough divine metaphysical weight like Raiden does and decide to jump her I shouldn't be too worried. So I guess I can stop by another jump or two, grab some divinity of some kind, and wombo-combo her with Raiden and at least one other person.
>>93492042It's based on the in-game meter thing, which builds up really fast. I could see it getting off twice even in the span of 1 minute. It can be used in shorter bursts too, even if you aren't "full meter".
>>93492069Man I don't even think Raiden is particularly heavy metaphysically. The most powerful thing I remember him doing is the time travel memory thing that changed the timeline from when Shao Kahn won-actually no, that's the second most powerful thing. The most powerful is beating D'vorrah in a fight which is fucking amazing compared to the track record of notionally powerful characters that have fought her. The point I'm badly making is that Raiden was never exactly the DC Darkseid or oWoD pandimensional idea kind of god. He's an asian dude with lightning powers.
>>93491397>Chapter 2 “Getting down to business”:To defeat the Huns?>Nekochan giggled “Well you always were good with your hands.” she commented though I wasn’t sure she was talking about how I worked with technology.Likely not.>“OH well there is a prewar garbage dump not too far away. They used to throw away a lot of things that could be salvaged, It’s dangerous though there are a lot of monsters that live in that dump. I would be very careful if you go there, I only really go to the outer edges.”I can see where you’re headed soon.>“And don’t worry I will leave you out of that. I know you have a sensitive nose and really wouldn’t be interested in digging through trash.”Doesn’t the power armor have filters?>It was a bit annoying that our Mansion hadn’t turned up yet, with the new battery tech of this world I could have solved a lot of the power problems I had. Also I think the GECK runs on cold fusion.>I don’t think the streets were set up for cars.An understandable development, but when you set up your own settlement you should leave room.>“I mean I suppose every jump is going to be like this with a lot of crap to do in the beginning and then I will finally be able to take things at my own pace as things are resolved and we are situated.”There comes a point at which you can delegate the tasks to others and focus on what you want to do. When you reach that point depends on where you go on the chain.>The original trilogy or the true Star Wars. I was never the biggest star wars fan but damn kids eat that up. “Can we go there! Can we go there next, Can we get Force powers?” I told them I would think about it if we got the chance.Nekochan would like that.>Excitement. Adventure. A Jedi craves not these things.

He is not going to risk a potential business deal in the future for just one bar.”Don’t kill the goose that lays golden eggs and all that.>It was the equivalent of hit someone with this mutagen add the right amount of Radiation and hope something beneficial happens. It was like working with Crisper; a virus that can be used to edit DNA, but if the person doing so was a complete idiot or just didn’t care that much about the result. So Fallout science?>“Well then how do we approach him.” She asked confused.Ask Alice how she did it.>“That may be true but there will be a strong justice system in place for a reason.”The justice system is don’t cause trouble or Nekochan will deal with you.>Currently I had was building a settlement for no people.Use the traditional method. Establish a place, make it safe, and provide a reason for people to want to live there.>An aerial vehicle would cut down on travel times considerably, sadly I was kind of in the middle of too many things as it was.Air vehicles are worth the trouble. I would know, I’ve worked on a similar question in Exalted Mortal Heroes.>“Look we are not killing kids, if it can be avoided. If he tries to kill someone... You do what you have to do, otherwise. We will try and manage the problem.” Let’s face it, Dio’s a world of trouble.
>>93492045To be fair, Johnny Cage is the product of a millennia-long eugenics program to create a god-killing warrior that everyone kind of just forgot about because the people who set it in motion died off, didn't tell anyone, and, for all of their power and foresight, couldn't predict that the end product would be a Hollywood jackass with a penchant for dickpunching.>>93492069Kronika's biggest weakness is her reliance on her hourglass to rewrite the timeline, but she has a lesser weakness in Geras: He's a pain in the ass to deal with on account of being a walking canon event, but if you can use OCP to kill him for good he'll betray Kronika in a heartbeat for the privilege of final death.
>>93491988>scrive-spinstershow do you deal with them doing a Vulgate and keeping little bits of doomed timeline in their backyards
>>93492178>Johnny Cage is the product of a millennia-long eugenics programW H A T ?
>>93492178Geras seem pretty chill in the new MK1 so I don't think even killing him is necessary
>>93492102You can't convince me that MK9+ has power levels, the place is just too chunky.
>>93492202Yeah he's a product of a couple millenia of eugenics to create the ultimate warrior human.
>>93492202Yeah he's basically the Mortal Kombat version of the Qwisatz Haderach, except trading the future sight for the green aura that folds Elder Gods like lawn chairs. I want to say it was the ancient Atlanteans, but it was something in that general ballpark.
>>93492213This trend started in MKvsDC where the powerlevels depended on which character the play controlled.

>>93492015Depends on how well you do and if you encounter any problems like Inquisitors or jealous colleagues trying to get rid of you. Best way to avoid that is to immediately go on a campaign on some extremely remote system that eats up all your time before someone higher up from the Imperium can show up.
>>93492255Grind them up and inject them between your toes.
>>93492255Grind them up and inject them in your balls.
>>93492178Yeah but JOHNNY and CASSIE know. It's just, they seem to have kind of forgotten about it in 11 too. Although desu I really want to know how fucking whacky a eugenics program gets if it starts with (I assume) an actually serious attempt to somehow breed a god-killing warrior from (again, just assuming) the strongest bastards you can find on Earth that don't sell their souls for dark arts. And end up with some goofy himbo who can't stop getting his ass beat by regular humans by annoying them. I guess logically, Sonya is compatible with the gene program because Cassie also got the glowey powers. And at least Sonya makes sense.>>93492201Periodical acts of literal historical revisionism on worlds under my control but not yet ascended to timeless harmony. The doomed timelines get spun back into New Genesis-brand revision mechanisms, Loom of Fate-equivalents or similar constructs and have all the conflict and suffering rewritten out of them before a spinster can start hoarding. Bad end hoarding is an actionable crime punishable by L-space imprisonment next to a hungry thesaurus.>>93492212Strictly speaking Geras was always chill going by his MK11 ending where he realised Kronika went batshit insane, he's just kinda thick and it took him a while to break his old loyalty.>>93492237To be fair to MKvsDC, it actually explained that with the universes merging making everyone's powerlevel fluctuate.MK11...does not.>>93492255Is the nice bald man called Cain, Kane or anything similar? If so, he is unironically your friend and completely trustworthy going by Tiberian Twilight. Still here it worked out.>Ask Alice how she did it.For 50 CP that game is just too useful.>The justice system is don’t cause trouble or Nekochan will deal with you.Well that's one of them. My jumper was intending a more formal system but... when in doubt Nekochan works.>Air vehicles are worth the trouble. I would know, I’ve worked on a similar question in Exalted Mortal Heroes. You are absolutely correct but sometimes a jumper can just be too busy even though it would solve a lot of problems.>Let’s face it, Dio’s a world of trouble.I see it as Dio's life is on a timer as soon as the jump begins. >>93492374It's called "go to Alan Wake, work for the government, sign up to the upside-down pyramid's medical plan"
>>93492320Its base form is just astral projection, like a dream of the past. It strains your chakra to discern things that have been 'lost to time' but you can heal from this 'damage' by reconnecting to a distant ancestor's experiences.Once evolved, the process becomes more direct. You actually enter the past, first as a ghostly entity anchored to a relevant ancestor, then able to communicate with them as you observe their life directly. This process builds in efficiency until you can possess them, at which point your real body 'disappears' from the present and you inhabit the ancestor instead. This final stage is tricky. You have time travel, but you won't be present in the future until you 'undo' your possession. You return after the same amount of time you spent in possession of your ancestor, measured from the moment you disappeared in the present. There is no protection against temporal damage to your prior history, nor is there any specific guarantee you will survive the death of your ancestor while possessed.
