Post art of fantasy landscapes
Marvellous.
are you just remaking this thread every time it falls of?
>>93757137Are you new? Or just stupid?
>>93757191why are you being so hostile?
>>93757923Why are you being so sensitive and seeing hostility where there is none?Or do you feel that any and all criticisms are inherently hostile?
I don’t suppose you’ve got any bogs or swamps lying around?

Ogre Lair
>>93762357Looks like a mix of a Japanese and Dutch village, I like it
Is there a setting with plenty of fantastic cities like these? It seems most of them features only medieval/modern cities with maybe one or two outliers. I sure don't remember any with impossible cities like pic.
>>93761369Do you have any more of those "looking down from a snowy mountain view" pics?
>>93763882
>>93751409Kind of a dumb city design. The whole point of building a city on a river is to facilitate trade. What kind of trade happens if your merchants are all dying in a waterfall?
>>93764089Looks like a fortress city during peacetime. It's probably subsidized by foreign powers. Also there are proper towns to either side and a proper bridge up-river but that shit probably empties during wartime.
>>93751440This, but on the back of a giant turtle or elephant or something
Does anyone have nice artworks of a steppe? In my game the players are currently exploring one, but most artwork I have is at best flatland covered with trees.

Would a skull get tidelocked? Which side would tend to face the planet?
>>93800931Hilariously, skulls would face into the gravity well.
>>93762365What would be a reason for a settlement in a place like that? I assume it's a bog and everything is always damp / mossy / rotting and there is no good farming /game / wood / metals, so what does the settlement produce/supply?Preferably realistic. Also preferably something better than "it's on a supply route".
>>93804284it's ai. I didn't notice till after i posted it :(
>>93804284The occupants live in the middle of a haunted forest because they believe it's better to be hidden from the raiders, conquerors and lords outside than the forest whilst they can handle the occasional forest monster or ghost with their rituals and sacrifices. The village is on the bank of a river that passes through the forest, they set out on small boats to get fish from the clearer waters and row back when they spot outsiders. It also lets them travel to other parts of the forest to hunt game or steal livestock from farms outside the forest.
Bump.
>>93804284could be a refuge for outcasts and undesirables that aren't welcome in any of the other towns in the surrounding area. Like a slum that's a fair bit physically apart from the city it belongs to.
>>93800629Based Mongol Steppeposter. I wanted to fulfill anons request but I don't have any steppe landscape art in my folder,
How big is your guys fantasy landscape folder? I'm at 4,3 gb right now
>>93804312>>93804798>>93808250https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PeatSeems like peat can be used for farming, burning instead of wood once dried, and some sort of iron deposits. That seems to make for a more interesting story since there is some interaction with the outside world. Though the outcast trope makes sense too, since it's pretty much undesirable land, so it won't be contested. While I am writing this, it makes me realize how "atmospheric" most fiction is, in the sense that it tries to convey an atmosphere, rather than derive from real historical function like it used to. // end pseudo-intellectual retard rant
>>93804284>What would be a reason for a settlement in a place like that?To hide from people that hate bogs. >so what does the settlement produce/supply?Witchcraft.
>>93820229I'm sorry, this image is bad, it looked better from the thumbnail. My old computer had a lot of great fantasy landscapes I'd saved over the years and my new one just has a fuckton of slop from the slop threads.
>>93814563You aren't being 'pseudo-intellectual' or retarded. You have noticed a real thing.Writers who aren't skilled try to cover that fact with muh atmosphere, muh speshul characters, and such like. And it goes far far beyond writing.Once you've seen it, it's hard to unsee.
Alright imma dump a few
>>93821487This one is cool. It's not bumping, but be my guest, I'm not the only one saving them.
>>93821590Image limit is almost reached anyway. Glad you like it.
Only forests from now on
Image limit reached.
