>Great Curse (outside of the Drawback)/Resonance should be removed.
This is already the case and will be in the notes section of the final version.

>Cosmetic effects from the non-Alchemical Exaltation types too.
Your anima banner will not just dissappear, though a lunar's tell or other such things will have an post jump solution.

>>93931066
>Errors I found.
Appreciated.

>>93931082
>For Secretive Cheating does the drm apply to people you teach or is it that once you teach someone it's no longer protected if they get their mind read or someone watches them doing magic or whatever?
Only 'you and yours' are covered by the DRM, if you only teach those you recruit under your banner they are covered otherwise they can be potential leaks. Though their memory of /you/ will still look like esoteric nonsense and they'd need to study the out in the wild student's derivative work/powers instead.

>For Experience would an exalt just get an array of starter charms for their favored abilities?
Experienced wouldn't have much use to an Exalt but they'd get the benefits with the appropriate types of powers should they get any in the future.

>When Smiling Jack says it applies to people with 'Powers' does that specifically mean superpowers or would just having magic or some other special ability count.
Powers of any kind, this isn't a Shard dependent secondary effect of a parahuman power like the guy it's based on is.

>Is [Suppress][Disguise] limited to alchemicals? If not what does it do for other exalts/parahumans?
I should probably also mark that one as Alchemical only, though theoretically an Eclipse caste could have one installed as an cybernetic implant.

>Maybe allow non-exalts to take two or three free level powers for a fee?
A bigger change than I intend to make before calling 1.0 done, though I will keep in mind people are still interested in a multipower option for potential future updates.
>>
>>93931280
>How capable are the minions from Squad finder? Like are you manually controlling them with multitasking or can they use your non-supernatural skills like lockpicking or parkour on their own?
They are as capable as well trained soldiers, with this improving the less of them you have 'in use' up to the point of an entry level brute/combat thinker.

>For the Exaltation power please add a note that either says no great curse or curse falls off at the end of the jump.
See above.

>Add a toggle to the Merchandizing so you can choose which companions get merch?
Sorry but it's random, you can however source it in setting with the upgraded version.

>Humbled Panoply celestial armor is a five dot artifact so can you pick another five dot such as a non explosive Protoshinmaic Vortex?
Up to five dots excluding WMDs as per the description, PSV's are WMDs.

>For Elsewhere Sanctuary how big is the pocket?
About the size of a small to mid size forest.

>And what level of manse is it
The hearthstone gives essence like a five dot manse but it's capabilities in what it's built for is only 4 dots since it's also needing to support the pocket it's kept in.

>Does Factional Gang make it so that you have worm type capes in future worlds or would it be a local equivalent?
Capes will be the same people with the same powers, but shard issues will go away when you leave.

>Do Powers in a Vial come with shard baggage in future worlds such as the conflict drive?
Vials have less shard baggage in general much like those from Cauldron but any that are present go away when you leave (for any companions/followers who drink one) and won't be introduced past that point.

>Maybe bold the +100 for companions for easier noticing.
Noted.

>Are the different fonts in the companion section on purpose?
AGAIN!? REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FUCK YOU WORD! MESS WITH MY FORMATTING YOU BROKEN FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!

Squad Finder is easily my favourite power from this jump. Being a tiny loli with up to ten heavily armed men and women acting like my loyal servants amuses me greatly.

I'm a villain due to doing illegal things, but the illegal things I do aren't generally morally wrong. It's mostly shit like planting gardens and flowers in public, jaywalking, fixing up public stuff, and feeding the homeless. The kind of things that really shouldn't be illegal and which is going to give me a surprisingly good reputation

I'm going to try my best to be a boisterous mastermind! Or whatever I think that is. It's mostly just me yelling rather loudly to the heroes that show up that I won't accept their tyrannical rule, I guess?

>>
>>93931290
Maybe add a note that the preexisting companions start with an attachment to you. Because the Scarlet Empresses cultural response to a lunar or solar should be to just kill you. And she is an elder exalt so something to prevent that would be nice. Same with some of the other companions. Because an essence 8/9 exalt will do whatever they want and if you disagree they can easily blink you out of existence.

Actually it was simple but fixed.

>Martial arts I think. Marital arts would more likely be done by installing Thousandfold Courtesan Calculations.
You would not believe the number of other times I've already fixed that mistake but this one is now fixed too.

>Not sure what but this sentence doesn't sound right when I read it.
Yeah not my smoothest, I think it might be like that for formatting autism but I'll take another look.

>Blastics isn't a word and 'moving as fast as?'
That is actually a word, one that has been largely replaced by alternatives but it means plastic explosives.

>Touch I believe.
Correct, and fixed

>Range
Also correct and fixed.

>Just 'a'
Also also correct and fixed.

>Knowledge of what?
Creation and essence, they were a mortal who attained Godhood they know some pretty useful stuff. Originally they were meant to specifically to be a scavanger lord but the anon who suggested that companion asked for their background to be more open ended.

Well the Alchemicals are getting a line from Autobot and their familiars are getting some from their alchemicals.

Other exalted are Drop-In only for a reason unless you take that one drawback. They're going to need one of several sources offered in the jump (there are a number in the items section including the Drop-In freebie's weapon with a fused in hearthstone) or get really fond of stunting.

Nah, that they eventually go crazy. If you’re a high ranking member of the Immaculates, or just very persistent, they’ll eventually reveal that Solars and Lunars really are the chosen of the sun and moon, but they eventually go crazy and have to be killed, so they just tell everyone they’re demons because it’s simpler.

New scenario section done. It's some weird shit so like I've mentioned previously all the old scenarios just got moved to the bottom of the document and if people wanna use those instead then they're still legal and I say as much in the Jump. I'm vaguely uncomfortable about keeping it secret till it's time to post, but fuck it we ball. I think if it ends up received well it could be pretty fun.

She lacks the ability to remotely detonate it or the secondary powers that would make her [highly resistant] to her own explosions. Bakugo earlier in the series mentioned off the cuff that he'd get sore wrists if he pushed himself too much so the recoil isn't perfectly absorbed.

She doesn't sweat stuff, she just generates things from her skin at will. So theoretically she's even better than explosion boy. She can't remote-detonate her sweat at will, but she can probably figure out some chemical that can detonate with a miniscule primer or the like. And while she doesn't have the training to resist point-blank explosions, that's something that can explicitly be trained up; Bakugo used to get sore and hurt from his own Quirk as a smol child, but regular usage made him grow more and more resistant. It's literally just a matter of gitting gud until Yaoyorozu surpasses Bakugo at doing the one thing that he's actually good at.
>>
>>93931539
That's already true, though.
>>
>>93931466
>(aside from canon companions gained via the generic companion option)
Right on this I've got a question to put out, I'm generally opposed to the idea of having canon companions need to be convinced to join, they generally aren't any more powerful than a well made custom companion.

But writing this jump where there are specific individuals who are actually stronger than a jumper or companion can reasonably start out has me thinking.

The dumbass solution I cam up with is that they become companions and come with you, but it's up to you to get them on side. Which is also a deviation from my normal answer I'd give for a jump I make of if you pay for them you start with a relationship of your preference.

Thoughts on this?

Various reasons:

>"She went that way," said the little girl they asked about the Changing Moon Lunar. Said little girl was, of course, the Lunar in question. She'd been terminally ill anyway, so the Lunar thought it was free real estate.
>"I'm not trapped in here with you, you're trapped in here with me!" said the Dawn Solar when the Shikari cornered him. There were no survivors. Including the Solar, he was only E2, but there was a new E1 Solar a week later in roughly the same area.
>"lol, lmao" said the Gold Faction Secrets Sidereal who hid two fresh Lunars, a fresh Solar, an E3 Infernal, and a whole Circle of Exigents just to make sure the Bronze Faction had more work to do later
>"Ooh, dinner time!" said the Raksha Noble the shikari ran into while chasing an E3 Lunar into a Freehold they didn't know was there
>"KABOOM" went the unsecured First Age superweapon the E1 Twilight accidentally set off while fleeing his pursuers (he was trying to close a door), killing all of them and mutating the next town over; he proceeded to undergo Heart of Tears the moment he found out that second part
>"He-Who-Becomes Is Gracious, are we the baddies?" asks the Immaculate Monk who has had killed five teenagers since he started this job

Being in the Wyld Hunt is not easy.
>>
>>93931556
There's generally no reason to require consent from a Companion. This is a restriction that even the earliest Quicksilver jumps don't have. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to declare Scion or Autochthon a Companion. The one reason to hand out an invitation is so that you can decide on a Companion during the jump itself, and even that has no reason to require the Companion to agree to it.

The funniest thing about the epilogue is that it seems more like the set up for a sequel series or a Part 2 rather than the actual end. Like you'd get Izuku either right out of UA or during his time in Class 2A, trying to figure out if he can still be a hero without One For All, with a mix of people being genuinely grateful for his heroism and/or dismissing him now that he's Quirkless. Plus, even with AFO gone, there's still villains, even if they're not as big a threat as he is. This gives Izuku the opportunity to prove he's still a hero using Support Gear, and the power armor he would have gotten, proving that Quirkless people CAN be heroes.

But no, it's just 'Izuku spent eight years not being able to be a hero and only gets to be one after he gets handed power armor, not even being given a chance to show that off'.

So does the ending to MHA confirm Hori has it out for Izuku? Because the more I think about it, the more I realize just how much Izuku lost:
>Loses One For All trying to save Shiggy, he dies anyways
>Ochako never confesses to him, even after they all almost died in the war and she herself only lived because Toga sacrificed herself to save Ochako
>Doesn't get to be a hero, and doesn't even get to be the greatest hero like he originally said he'd be, because Hori decided on a 'WE'RE the greatest heroes!' line instead
>Spends years as a teacher instead, just telling his story to others to try and encourage them
>His friends are too busy to talk to him or spend time with him, even though Hawks made the new era out to be this time of peace where heroes get to relax
>Only gets to be a hero after being given power armor, and even then doesn't actually get to show off using it

It's like Hori was aiming to make the ending suck as much as possible for Izuku without making it an actual Bad End.

It's not just a matter of tech, it's a matter of battlefield conditions, deployment, tactics, troop quality, logistics and a lot of other little things. Generally yes though if you have a company of infantry with bolt action rifles, keep them resupplied, and in good health and morale they would be excellent as a scalpel, you would still need a bunch of other dudes to achieve anything notable beyond killing a lot of enemies since someone has to capture, occupy and maintain control over the stuff you want.

Conquista over on Fiction.live is quest based on a fantasy equivalent of the conquistadors vs the Aztecs if that's what you're asking for.

It's where all the abnormally tall Electric type specialists seem to originate from.
>>
>Bakugo
Man, even Bakugo got fucked over by the ending. Dude literally burst into tears when he found out Izuku was Quirkless again, talking about he thought he and Izuku would keep competing and fighting together. They mention in the epilogue how he's falling down the Hero rankings because of his attitude, and how Shoto's closer to Number 1 than he is. He then spends what has to be a fuckton of money getting Izuku power armor so he can be a hero again.

Bakugo didn't really get what he wanted either in the end.
>>
>>93931818
Literally nobody, in or out of the universe, was happy with the ending.
>>
>>93931815
I like my headcanon that Surge is so tall because he evolved in the war

I know that it doesn't really match the one example of Trainers evolving since they just got fancier clothes out of it, but the idea still amuses me.

>Congratulations, you're the number 1 hero...because your rival literally can't do the job anymore.
Yep, talk about getting cucked.
>>
>>93931797
I find it vaguely amusing that people were so reactionary about the ending that they either started drawing cucked fast food Deku art, or pairing him with some other girl from the series, or sometimes both where Bakugo and Ochako are a thing but Deku is also a fast food worker that's married to like Mei or whatever.

There should be legal consequences for writing a bad or disappointing ending/story in general. A panel of jurors who aren't familiar with the work should read the whole thing and determine if you're guilty or not.

>the one example of Trainers evolving
>got fancier clothes out of it
Who and when? What did I miss?
>>
>>93931797
I mean, none of the shit that caused him to lose his power was by his own will. It was literally a series of increasingly escalating BS + Hori character assassinating everyone to justify the shit "ending". All you'd have to do is go to the start of the series, make it so OfA can't burn itself out or damage Izuku, teach him that sometimes villains just need to die regardless of whatever UA tries to bullshit him with, tell him to beat Bakugo's face in, then watch him go ape.

Deku can solve his own issues if you remove the biggest problem of Hori sabotaging him at every moment to prop up his actual favorite character.
>>
>>93931845
Human evolution is just a bitch. They've got a friendship evolution that requires you to make friends with a specific breed of pokemon unique to each person, with the only way to actually tell if you have the right partner being the fact that other people think you and your partner fit together.

You also need to personally fight alongside your partner

Then there's people who just outright can't evolve even after that
>>
>>93931498
She has memorized the schematics of tracking devices and PDAs and can make them on the spot. That means making a lot of really small and precise transistors and circuitry and connecting everything properly plus recreating all the coding for the thing to work properly. Copying Bakugo's sweat should be easy in comparison because it'd be copypasting the same chemical formula again and again a lot of times.

>>
>>93931868
>teach him that sometimes villains just need to die regardless of whatever UA tries to bullshit him with
That's not just UA, that's Japanese society writ large. Fuckers are terrified of the death penalty, but torture's A-OK.

Anyway, Deku's pretty bullheadedly stubborn and idiotic about some things, I hope you brought some charisma and oratory perks with you into the jump if you're going down that road.
>>
>>93931767
I mean, if he goes to become a pro hero a villain showing up and destroying his power armor in a fight is almost inevitable. Considering it look a fair amount of a top hero salary to buy it, he is kinda fucked.

>>
>>93931889

>>
>>93931868
I don't think it really changes anything. He was still trying to punch Shiggy's head off, he just also thought about trying to save him. Shiggy was just too strong for Deku to 1v1 and beat even if he was going in with lethal intent. Maybe, anyways.

>>93931876
I vaguely based some of the made up Quirks on the table on characters from other series. Daw Mour is based somewhat off of one of the major antagonists from Toriko named Midora who could do some wild tongue stuff. It's not 1 for 1, just inspired.
>>
>>93931797
>destroy Japanese society

>>
>>93931891
It sucks that they haven't done more with that. It also sucks that the jump itself doesn't have anything for it

Humans in Pokemon Conquest also have Moves. They're pretty much all buffs, and the capstone perks in the jump are just some of those moves
>>
>>93931887
Deku's bullheadedness is almost entirely from getting dumb ideas implanted into him by hero society being retarded. You just need to pre-empt that shit before it has time to grow and settle, and it's very unlikely he'll end up feeling the suicidal sympathy for monsters like Shigaraki. He might still feel bad for him, but won't try to "save" him.

This probably won't stop him from being suicidal lying reckless in OTHER ways though.

The Adventures manga version of S/M/US/UM actually has her husband vaguely recognize Lusamine and his daughter and actively express a need to see them again, even if he doesn't know why. And the end of the arc outright has it so Lily intends for them all to reunite as a family once Lusamine gets better.

At least to me it comes across more as her having changed so much that she doesn't think it would work out. Like a huge, life-changing part of her existence was literally defined by coming to terms with the fact that she would never see him again. Then you drop him back into her life out of nowhere. You'd think she would be ecstatic on the surface level but the reality is that so much has happened without him being there and she's already pretty much accepted and gotten used to the idea that he's not a part of her life anymore. So even if she tried to get back together with him, it wouldn't be smooth sailing by any means. She's a very different woman than she used to be and the scars of losing him are already mostly healed.

>But yeah, fucked up and a stupid. Sure you can fuck her, but then what's the point, she's stuck as a boring CEO MILF recovering from evil behavior (instead of brainwashed behavior like in the original)

probably depends on if the other side even knows what is going on. You open up on a medieval army with bolt action rifles from a good distance and they're not going to know wtf is happening and think they're being attacked by spirits or something and run the hell away, especially if their officers and lords start getting sniped, which is a very real possibility given they've all got big obvious tabards and banners around them to help people recognize them as lords (and thus for capture and ransom rather than killing).

>Shiggy was just too strong for Deku to 1v1 and beat even if he was going in with lethal intent.
Iirc, the problem was less that Izuku couldn't kill Shiggy and more that Izuku couldn't beat Shiggy without killing him. Knocking him out or incapacitating him wouldn't work because of his healing factor, and Shiggy's Decay had evolved to the point where it could destroy Japan and eventually the world. Either Izuku killed him, or Shiggy killed him and everyone else. Izuku sacrificing OFA to reach Shiggy's inner self was him trying to reject this either/or choice.

Other jumpmakers are motivated by hatred, I know, but Jumpmaking has always been a work of loving passion for me. I'm not sure I can do this.

One thing is that given sufficient morale and numbers unless your men have unlimited ammo a dug in position and a bunch of actual machine guns. You can still be swarmed over by a bunch of fearless dudes with spears.
Sure the casualties will be horrific but you can be beaten if you aren't really careful. See the Zulu.

I want to do this though. Kinda. I want a Sonic and the Secret Rings jump, I know there's potential there...but god fucking dammit the game sucks. The dialogue sucks. The leveling system sucks. The controls suck. The combat sucks. Everything about this absolute dogshit game sucks except for the base concept and the music.
>>93932285
See above. I deeply enjoy Sonic as a concept and greatly enjoy many Sonic games. Sonic and the Secret Rings is just absolute horrific dogshit. I have tried to grasp its workings to get a jump out for it, but it repulses me. It's not just an issue of controls-if it was, it'd be so much easier to deal with. No, it's an issue that the ENTIRE FUCKING GAME sucks. I want to like this game. I can't. I want to make a jump for this game. I can't.

Plinking away at builds. Trying to find my motivation. It is difficult.
Somewhat recently I decided to go ahead and do a whole string of Jojo builds, which I don't think I ever got around to doing originally. Not for the specific ones, at least. The major difference this time around is that instead of being Joseph's bastard daughter, instead in the first jump I chose to be related to Dio instead (for the discounts, natch). Although I might choose to have Jojo blood in one of the later jumps, giving me both. I don't know.
Anyway, I'm kindof imagining Jumper talking to Dio near the start of that jump, and being all like,
> Me: "My brother, I don't really give two shits about Jonathan, and if you wish to declare yourself a lifelong vendetta against him, I really don't have a problem with it. But for the love of god, could you maybe be a little less overt about it. You didn't have to kill the dog. It's a fucking dog. You didn't have to kiss his girlfriend right in front of him and then start screaming about her broken chastity. You did not need to squat over Jonathan's bed for two hours while he slept just so that you could rip a fat one directly into his face when he woke up. Just... tone it down a LITTLE. We've got a good thing going here, getting adopted by obscene wealth because their father is a moron. Could you not completely ruin this?"
> Dio: "lolno."

Needless to say, she ended up siding with Jonathan by the end.

I died, then I woke up on a dark tapestry littered with stars, a purple nebula enveloping the horizon. There was nothing else in this realm except for me, and the grinning, blonde woman who sat on a golden throne.

“I've been waiting for this for sooo long!” the woman exclaimed enthusiastically as she rose from her seat and made her way towards a very confused me.

“Oh, yeah. Introductions” she cleared her throat “Rejoice, mortal, for you've been granted the honor of becoming one of my chosen and a hero justice! You'll be empowered by my mystical energies and sent to worlds beyond veil, there you'll purge evil and perform great deeds in my name! The journey will be long, harsh, and dangerous, but I assure you, the rewards and experiences you'll accumulate along the way are more than worth the risks.”

With a snap of her fingers, a stack of papers appeared on my hands “My peers told me to ask for your consent first, however unesserary. I mean, you'll obviously sign the contract, right?”

A journey full of peril and hardship doing the bidding of an entity beyond my comprehension… “I don't know, visiting other worlds DOES sound tempting. But-”

“Did i also mention that there's a very high chance that the chosen ends up acquiring a large harem of beautiful women or a single soulmate, if you're monoboring along their travels? It happens so often it's almost a guarantee!

“Say no more” i signed the contract post haste

Well. The inevitable Multiversus mega crossover storyline is finally happening. The Justice League's most iconic heroes (and Wonder Woman) have started seeing weird omens of other characters and scrawling them in their sleep, they've all suddenly been teleported to Scott Free and Big Barda's house holy shit a writer remembered they exist and they've just found out Scott and Barda's kid (holy shit Scott and Barda have a kid that isn't some sort of depression metaphor or a psychopath from another universe) is hiding Bugs Bunny in the closet. And apparently random Apokolips tech is fritzing out.

So I'm upgrading Waller's Amazo drones with T-sphere tech to function as multiversal traffic control, and also gently remind the Justice League that they HAVE in fact met the Looney Tunes characters in some oneoff comics a while ago.

Went to Ocean Park the day before yesterday. Despite some of the major attractions being closed, it was a blast. I'm also pretty sure the constant exposure to 39 degree sunlight is why my sleep got been FUBAR'd.

“Excellent! We are going to have so much together! Now, Normally I would be sending you to a fantastical world full of magic, elves, and kingdoms perpetually stuck in the middle ages as a training course. Unfortunately, since those types of worlds are currently overcrowded by other returnees, I was told by my peers to send you somewhere else” She sighed, muttering something about lewd elves in a disappointed tone.

“But fret not! I have a world similar in spirit, if not in appearance. A world Full of magic, aliens, and girls in spandex! A perfect place to prove yourself as an agent of justice! You're going to world #S109 More accurately, to L.A” With a snap of her fingers, the tapestry disappeared from below my me, and I started falling to the new world. “Remember to have fun!”

>Three months later

“You… died already?” my patron asked from across the starry table as I served myself some star tea.

“What was I supposed to do!? Dr.Heimer fired off the Japslayermegabomb at Miku-chan! I wouldn't be a true hero if I just stood there and did nothing, especially when I already reached second base with her!

“You could have just, you know, used your magic, which I gave you, to teleport her away from the rocket's path, instead of jumping right in front of it?”

Oh right. I always forget that I can do that. I mostly use it to cast fireball

“Look, I like your attitude, but you can't just die at the beginning of your journey. I've waiting kalpas for this.”

“Sorry” I said, deflating a little on my seat.

“Don't look sad… Okay, this is what we can do. I can resurrect you ONCE each decade, but in exchange you'll have to temporarily work for one of my peers, when they request it in the future, and only for a decade.” she handed me another contract “So please don't die again, i gave you regenerative powers specifically so this wouldn't happen”

“I promise to be more mindful of my abilities” I said, signing the contract.

Just day-job stuff. Which, as a science jumper, I was naturally excessively good at. I never "officially" learned Batman's true identity, so he didn't really treat me differently in that regard.
He was, however, aware that I was a super (or equivalent), even if he didn't know the full extent of it. I'd been kidnapped by villains a couple times, which I would play along with right up until they took me to their boss, at which point I would just start indiscriminately breaking arms and ribcages. Also, I would periodically go up to some normally inaccessible roof during the night and just admire the city. Dig the aesthetics.
Batman doesn't just find you in these kinds of situations repeatedly and not quickly figure out that there's more to you than being some random civilian.

But I didn't really use my powers in an overt manner and was fairly upbeat, so all my coworkers liked me and Bruce never saw a reason to confront me about it. When I left towards the end of the jump, they said they'd keep my desk open for me.

It was kindof fun, both me and Bruce knowing the other was lying about shit, and then just never confronting each other about it based on mutual respect.

Because I found a picture set of a heavily scarred woman that, for many reasons including just her general aura, has rather ignited my imagination. So she'll be a new Companion for Owl. I'm not sure if I'm going to make her a Legionnaire who has been used to the point of being left behind by the Legion or simply a wasteland survivor who has been fighting against them because of some past tragedy that broke her. hOI! I'm ̶T̶e̶m̶ Tammy. Short for ̶P̶u̶e̶l̶l̶a̶ ̶M̶a̶g̶i̶ ̶H̶o̶m̶u̶r̶a̶ Tamura. Just call me Tammy.
You start out FIVE YEARS before the plot, so I ended up squeezing through a crack in the door to the ruins and inserting myself into everyone's lives before the plot.
Joined the human fanclub with Alphys and Mettaton. Became friends with Alphys. Watched a lot of anime with Alphys (her taste is GARBAGE btw). Became the assistant royal scientist under her.

Accidentally gave Flowey a heart with that one perk from Kingdom Hearts, which really fucked up the canon resolution to things. Got stuck in a timeloop for a long, long time.
Learned a bunch of magic.

You can get by with only knowing the gist. You do know Giegue's whole backstory, right? If not, the game will tell you, but it also kindof assumes you know who he is, desu.
It kindof leans more towards Earthbound in tone, though. I think.

I recommend booting up Cheat Engine just so you can make use of the speedhack. The walk speed is so SLOOOW.

>Recompilation Program (W)
>this program is a one-time use which will resolve any temporal and spatial disturbance in the world.

As such, what actually happened was I popped into the underground, weird noises started up and then I just hit the clarktech activation button-causing a very surprised Dr. Gaster to pop back into reality against all the known laws of Monster Science.

I proceeded to spend the rest of my time quietly grilling and building temporal anchoring devices to ensure the Pacifist route wouldn't be overturned. The fallen human probably had a much easier time because all the monsters were surprised and happy at Gaster's reappearance so like-Sans got to greet him late, Alphys and Mettaton were busy trying to figure out where he'd move in (and where to move the Amalgamates), hell for all I know Toriel and Asgore were shocked enough to go investigate.

Flowey probably shit a brick.

> Are they a slog to get through or
They're jRPGs. So there's grinding involved, the amount of which varies based on their time period of release. That said, they're beloved for a reason. I don't even think they count as obscure anymore, the online fanbase made sure of that. They are some genuinely funny, quirky, heartwarming moments in each.

Mother 1 is a SLOG, tho. Lotta grinding. Lotta poorly tested areas. Very much an 80s jRPG.
Earthbound is much easier, but there's still gonna be some grinding and management involved.
Mother 3's the easiest, but also has the most story and dialog you have to sift through, and it REALLY assumes you've already beaten Earthbound before.

I would say, as with anything, to give them a shot, and if you don't like them you don't have to play them. But give them a chance.
My recommended order is Earthbound first, then Mother 3, and Mother 1 can be slotted anywhere and is completely optional.
Do not be ashamed to use guides and exploits, especially for Mother 1. These are oldschool games. You will miss stuff, and there are missables.
But, like. Give them their due chance. There is some real gold in there, as well.

I was a Riolu! Mostly because I rolled the first game, and Lucario was a legendary hero in that game (because they were shilling it as the newest mascot at the time), and I wanted to be special. My partner was an Eevee, creatively named Vee.
This was really before Abilities were a thing, but I said my jumper got her dream abilities. So Prankster / Justified. Vee eventually turned into a Sylveon, which ALSO wasn't a thing back then. So we were special all around.

Ohyeah, and you were asking about CogDis, too. Sorry. It's late, I'm tired, grumblegrumble.
Cognitive Dissonance is an RPGMaker fangame that bridges Mother 1 and Earthbound, with a little bit from Mother 3 thrown in for flavor. It is... a fangame? And it definitely shows. Some parts of it are jank. But it's one of those janky fangames that clearly have actual love put into it, it is not overly difficult, and it has some neat ideas and setpieces. I would definitely give it a shot, if you're a fan of the Mother series as a whole.
Just, y'know, like I said to Yororo, I would also really recommend having some way to speed up the game from the outside. The walk speed is juuust slow enough to be actively fucking painful. 1.5x speed outta fix it, though.

Plus, unlike the various Mother games, CogDis puts you in command of a ragtag group of aliens! That's cool for novelty's sake, if nothing else.

Sadly, I don't know what else to say about it without more guided questioning. It follows Giegue's descent into becoming the Universal Cosmic Destroyer, and it's pretty neat. Definitely impressive for an RPGMaker fangame.

Some perks feel very "early Jumpchain" in their design, like the Undyne perk where you can maybe contend with a serious threat once I guess and then be a cripple for no reason for the rest of your life after that.

The Jump starting 5 years before the plot is also weird. The Murdertale thing is kinda cool, but that could've been baked into the same document. No stuff for Asgore breaking the Mercy button I'm pretty sure. No way to become the God of Hyperdeath. I'm pretty sure you can't even be a flower like Flowey.

To be fair, you could literally unleash a monster in DC by farting in the wrong place and releasing Arghgh'hlhlhl'lhhl the Demon of Cancer. Unleashing monsters is just kind of the default state for DC's main multiverse/omniverse, because it is literally a wound carved into God's flesh by the scream of the Great Darkness when God supplanted it.

(Even though it turns out that the Great Darkness is actually significantly more chill about the whole issue than all of it's hands and lesser emanations, and nowadays is just kind of eating popcorn while watching DC's tiny people occasionally beat up one of it's emanations like the Upside-Down Man. Who may or may not also be the Decreator given his final form)

Pretty sure someone is working on the Campfire Cooking in Another World jump while only having read the manga and watched the anime, instead of read the LN. Just make it clear that you only took inspiration from that in the Notes section. Or try to see if someone who read the LN wants to work together.

Hanging is really hard to get right though, I can see why we changed it since the purpose of the death penalty is 'merciful' killing these days. Part of the problem with lethal injection is we aren't entirely sure it is painless.

>How autistic do you come off in your interactions with other people irl?
Amazingly enough? People generally seem to like hanging out with me. They think of me as "the funny one" or "the one who knows everything" even when I'm excruciatingly analysing every piece of small talk that comes out of my mouth. I'm generally polite to strangers, flash a quick smile after making eye contact and get super immersed in whatever I'm doing. I'm starting to think I maybe make a great first impression and that's all most people have to judge me on before I find an excuse to turtle up.

I feel like part of it was just, formative experiences in middleschool where I realised that most people can't actually tell the difference between projected confidence and someone just trying not to cave like a house of cards. And part of it was the epiphany that most normies appreciate a good listener and are happy to talk about themselves a lot. My control freak tendencies extend to social interactions so I'm extremely meticulous about how I present to outsiders unless I'm at a physical or emotional nadir.

I think people that hang with me do eventually figure out I'm "special". But these days it seems to take a long time for them to figure out, and by then nobody seems to hold it against me.

I used to think it was just because I'm talky and outspoken by Asian standards, but even the whities seem to get along with me.

>Can you suppress your powerlevel?
Oh hell yes, I am the KING of doing that. I have extremely strong discipline when it comes to avoiding any mention of Exalted, capeshit, the current horror podcast I'm listening to or even the MCU unless someone else brings it up first. The one time someone did, I ended up roasting the end of JJK in a way that accidentally made me a new friend.

>>
>>93933924
Not to my knowledge, no. Go take a crack at it.

I wanted to try and take a crack at it myself so I'm watching a playthrough, but all I can think of is two drawbacks so far. The first is "No Death Animation", which makes the Xenomorph unkillable by you specifically-which is a callback to how the Alien Isolation programmers literally forgot to put in a death animation for the Alien because they never expected anybody to be able to kill it. The other is "Deviled Eggs", which is literally just "more Xenomorph eggs all over the place" as a drawback. That's it. That's all I've been able to think up so far.

No. No, not really. It's especially infuriating because DC ALREADY WENT TO THE TROUBLE OF GETTING THE ACTUAL MANHATTAN AND BUILDING HIM UP FOR YEARS and because let's face it, nobody gives a shit about Captain Atom anymore. If you billed King's stupid event as Jenny vs Dr. Manhattan, at least youtube nerds would have a giggle.

The idea Superman fucked an immortal century spirit while he was on a rebound from his mermaid gf and she regrets not picking up his calls after is funny, even if it is very sad this is how King likes to write characters

If that really is what they're trying to go for, it's doubly weird because (theoretically) the other 2 actual Wildstorm characters are buddies with Superman, part of an in-name only Authority led by Superman that it's not even clear Jenny has any knowledge about, and Jenny sure as fuck doesn't seem to have much of a plan to deal with Atom other than walk up and shittalk him.

Seriously at least bring back the whole band if you really want to avenge their useless asses getting spanked.

At that point his finances would be absolutely gutted, people he cares about would come under public scrutiny, many of his contingencies will be exposed the moment the US government gets hold of either actual AI (and Waller starts projecting her empty nest issues on one of them) and most importantly of all it would be very difficult to pull off a Batplan on me WITHOUT adversely affecting large amounts of civilians if I, say, start making a lot of public appearances to talk about how Bruce Wayne is a nasty, nasty man. And imply without ever actually saying it that he’s somehow responsible for COVID.

We’ve actually seen where max Batwank caps out as early as Dark Nights Metal, and it’s far below what I can do. But the thing is-I don’t actually need to flex my Better Dominion powers or invoke the Logos if I set things up right. All i need is to make taking me out of the picture so tiresome it’s more trouble than it’s worth for Batman to slog through bodies just to get his gauntlets on me. In all his years of crimefighting Batman has only ever gone after Ra’s, Vandal Savage and Waller when they’ve threatened something BIGGER than him. Talia and Catwoman have hurt him far, far more personally than this and he’s still willing to hook up with them now and then. It’s not about whether I can beat Batman in a fight. It’s whether I can balance hobbling his assets while positioning myself to do more harm than good to society if I’m taken out.

Also I have Master Planner and Genius from Generic DC, as well as Insane Planning from Arkham Asylum and Hello Gotham from Batman Beyond, and all the Drop-In perks from Batman: The Animated Series. I basically have everything Batkek had after Barbatos was taken off the playing field. It is VERY hard to force me into a direct fight if I don’t want to be in one.

On top of that, I also have Synchronicity Wave Riding from DC Occult and the divine attribute Architect from Chuubo.

this is a setting where every single person is born with an isekai cheat power of different sorts, and then they sort of xianxia cultivate with it, the setting is a very high-tech space opera however it's all technically magitech

Man, the japanese gaming industry confuses the hell out of me. It has it's issues but unlike, say, western gaming where I feel those issues are easy to identify and extrapolate the reasoning behind, japanese gaming fucks up in ways I find just impossible to understand. Like FF14 just completely running out of steam after Endwalker, but there clearly being a huge attempt to pour effort into FF16. Or the absolute shitfuckery that is the Kingdom Hearts plot. Or the FF7 remake being 3 fucking games' worth of incomprehensible multiverse vagueposting instead of just being a fucking remake of the game.
>>
>>93935405
Looking it up, I've learned some weird things, like Square Enix bowing to the Twittard Overlords, and the level of stupid censorship FF7 remake had.
All the while being utterly confused as to why you would take away the Ogre's lips and give them another finger.

I should have taken Endwalker as fOrShAdOwInG.
It also made me understand that after Akira Toriyama's passing not everyone were "It's sad" and stuff, some were actively shitting on him, as if waiting to ruin his work. Holy shit are people shitty.
Here I thought that this sort of Mr Popo bullshit were behind us.
>>
>>93935448
Honestly I didn't even know about the FF7 censorship, because I was being aggressively mindfucked by the insane dream logic of the plot
>>
>>93935405
>the FF7 remake being 3 fucking games' worth of incomprehensible multiverse vagueposting
There seem to be two reasons behind this. First, making games takes a lot longer and is much more expensive than it used to be. The remakes do add some extraneous elements, but even if you cut those the game would still be too much of a game. Reminder that Rebirth is actually considered a failure of Square, in part due to the console exclusivity harming total sales. Second, the first game saying that things can go different is kind of needed if you are going to bank on three massive projects and want people to actually care about what happens in them.

>the absolute shitfuckery that is the Kingdom Hearts plot
It really isn't that complicated, it is just stuff stacked on top of stuff, which inevitably
happens when you have a franchise running that long. Unironically, if you play the games in order you won't be confused except for brief mentions of KHUX in 3.
>>
>>93935452
>>93935453
mfw I just wanted a good remake, but then the Dementor Nation attacked, and characters talking in Kingdom Hearts.
>>
>>93935453
Yeah the expensive dev cycle does help explain a lot of it's design decisions

>It really isn't that complicated
I am, very specifically, aggressively butthurt that having gone through both in the games there is NO coherent explanation for how Sephiroth is hijacking the Time Jannies or what his goal actually is other than implied implications that Jenova isn't as dead as the fucking maker of the original FF7 asserted. And is at least living on in spirit through him or some shit. That, and the complete lack of clarity of what the hell is going on with Aerith.

Sure. A lot of it IS just stuff upon stuff. Hell I actually liked Barrett's arc in the remake, the Golden Saucer looks fucking exquisite and Hojo having game was based. There are certainly things I can appreciate for the sheer artistry and effort put in. I am specifically criticising the main plot for being unnecessarily convoluted and unexplained. If I wanted to play FF7 for japanese Twin Peaks shit, I'd just demand a MOTHER sequel dammit.
>>
>>93935475
And now Rebirth is asserting there is a civil war within the Dementor Nation with Aerith "redeeming" some of them into White Dementors while the black (canon-loving?) ones are not just supporting Sephiroth but with no real explanation as to the mechanism are actively taking orders from him
>>
>>93935491
Why are you quoting my KH response and applying it to FF7? The best I could say for FF7 is that we are two parts in to a three part story, and a lot of revelations tend to happen at the end of a story. KH is much more comprehensible, and isn't stacking a story on top of an existing story.
>>
>>93935509
Oh my bad, I got confused and thought you were talking about FF7's remake for some reason. Probably because those games live rent free in my head more than KH ever did because yeah, like you said there is a plot. It's just stacked. All I'm saying is we're 2 out of 3 games through the FF7 set and they're REALLY going to have to explain things quickly in the last one.
>>
>>93935499
Well I said the Dementor Nation, but it's really just the dev who changed things in general, like. AVALANCHE not being terrorists, or Dyle's things.
I'm not saying I hate all the changes, but some of them are pretty major, and sour the taste of it all a bit to me.

Just because the same guy is in charge doesn't mean he has as much creative control as he did last time. For example, there's no way they're going to let him repeat the cliffhanger ending where it's left ambiguous whether humanity was destroyed due to being bad for the planet. They need to leave the door open to sequels, after all.

how do you feel about those "item" options that some wildly high power jumps have that let you just take a massive and important portion of a setting with you, like an entire city or country, as part of your warehouse or something?

it feels weird to me because on one hand it's destructive to anything even resembling a moderate to low power chain, however in a different sense it feels inevitable, because if once you complete a jump in a given setting time is paused until your chain is over, and assuming that you'll have massive power once your chain is over too, isn't that exactly what happens anyway? the settings that you visited will be like your little ducklings, they're literally yours on a very real level, unless you deliberately abandon them

Does anybody remember what the fuck my specific plans were for the Nomu Drawback? I've been checking multiple notepads and chatlogs but haven't found it yet and my note in the Jump is one line and vague. I think it was basically the harder you went into packing 'multiple' and 'high tier' Quirks into your body the more Nomu-like you'd appear with a High End (someone loaded with multiple Tier 3's) was specifically not something AFO would just let wander around, but help would be appreciated.

>Multiple Quirks including multiple Tier 3's = High End drawback applied (AFO actively desires to recover you and get your Quirks back and will have people assigned to the job.)

>>93935637
Sometimes they feel vaguely setting-appropriate like the mana lands purchases in various MtG. Sometimes they're just an expression of defeat at trying to find literally anything to fill out an items section in a jump with, like in my case.

I guess it depends on the setting, and I feel better about including them if I feel like the overall threat level of the setting or plot agency involves one. But I mean, I don't really think there's much certainty about how to handle 'em. I mean to take the MCU for example, nobody could realistically foresee the setting advancing from "guys in power suits with reasonable concessions to logistics" to "some idiot time jannies are just casually nuking entire timelines to an entropic wasteland ruled by Professor X's evil sister and a giant CGI cloud monster"

>>
>>93935817
i'd pick owod every time because the owod mage antagonisms are much more human, the nwod ones are against weird posthuman magicl boltzmann brains that exist in the next dimension over, while the owod ones are just groups of mages that believe different things are important
>>
>>93935825
It's going okay. Not as rapid as yesterday but I always did hate drawbacks and I don't have the same mood that was driving me before. Still pretty sure I'm sick though.
>>
>>93935817
OWOD mages have gained control over the spark of divinity in themselves and shape the world through belief. They want to control what people think, because disagreeing with them limits their powers. NWOD mages have seen the secret layer of reality and become obsessed with uncovering hidden truths. They want to uncover ever more secrets to gain more power and maybe spread enlightenment to others.

NWOD mages are better, but only because of the ability to enter and control the Supernal world, which won't exist in future settings. OWOD magic is more useful otherwise, I think.
>>
>>93935817
Well. That's. Throwing me for a curveball but lemme think.

>philosophically
oWoD is more about the tension between the fantastic and the prosaic, while nWoD is more about an all-encompassing conflict between generalised tyranny and human agency. The free mages of oWoD fight to be able to do and believe in whatever they want-and as seen in the case of a certain death-obsessed lich, this isn't always a good thing, and can and has led to factional disputes. The free mages of nWoD have broad philosophical differences but mostly just want to NOT be under the Exarchs' boot.

Similarly the Technocracy are shown to have at least SOME good intentions beneath their organisational disorder, fuckups like Friend Computer and (so the setting proclaims) fundamentally wrongheaded approach to magic. The Exarchs, on the other hand, are unambiguously petty and tyrannical in a setting that revels in ambiguity. At best, they are actual symbols of human oppression alien to the human experience. At worst, they are incredibly petty Atlantean god-kings willing to subjugate the entire universe to an Ebon Dragon-level state of disrepair if they can cling to power. They're Gwyn, Lord of Cinder basically.

>It's going okay. Not as rapid as yesterday but I always did hate drawbacks and I don't have the same mood that was driving me before. Still pretty sure I'm sick though.

Eeeeh, considering the fact that you are working on the MHA jump, and almost managed to update the thing in one day, you are beyond incredible. That and you said drawbacks are not your thing.

Speaking of being sick, hope you get better. That or you manage to find time to take an aspirin, and take a nap to feel better. That or be able to get a prescription.
>>
>>93935817
>thematically
oWoD mages have much more direct associations with the spark of the divine, like the other anon said. As in, side materials suggest they have broken shards of GOD or dead angels (which may as well be hsards of God) lodged in their souls. The setting is also a lot more incoherent about the implications of that; the mage books suggest it is mage destiny to unleash either great destruction or salvation by harnessing that spark correctly, while Days of Fire asserts mages are ultimately just another type of monster the rest of humanity needs to root out with the rest.

nWoD mages are more about truth, and the force they handle is...more explicitly native to humanity. In the sense that becoming a nWoD mage is about getting a buff soul more than it is about being twisted by external forces. Interpreting the "truthiness" of the Supernal and reconciling it with the Phenomenal is basically how magic works. In a sense it's sort of the opposite of how oWoD magic works. Instead of imposing a truth that exists only for you and your Avatar, the nWoD mages are trying to harmonise the facets of the Supernal with a "less real" world.

oWoD mages have shards of the God head in their souls and are functionally in a conflict between different philosophies to try and redefine the world into what they think is good, with no right answer in sight. Yes, the Technocracy might be Weaver-aligned tools now, but they were once operating under good intentions and the Traditions aren't really much better than the current Technocracy for the majority of them. They both just want to build a world they view as ideal for humanity.

nWoD mages are caught in the middle of a horrific war for survival against the very platonic symbols of Tyranny itself, trying to hack their way through via their inherent connection to the source code of reality which said symbols of Tyranny already have near-total control over.

>>93935960
The Exarchs being totally inhuman seems to be the interpretation they're going for actually, given even the Seer-aligned archmasters under them cannot fsthom what the fuck they are or what their plans are, if they even have "plans" at all. They're completely alien to anything we'd recognize as human at this point, assuming they were ever human to begin with.

I think that's overselling things. The Exarchs are abstract foes who almost never move on their own. The Seers of the Throne are a moderate threat but don't control the world or even outnumber the Pentacle. The average mage spends far more time hunting for arcane secrets for the own studies than they do "fighting tyranny".

Perhaps, though, you do not want to allow or enable the degrees of inequality that followed? Also, you find it easier to stir up resentment toward inequality that can be channeled to action, should you wish.

Kingdom Hearts has a pretty good wizard origin with all the standard Final Fantasy spells and you can get a snazzy black coat for cheap from one of the other origins.

Thalmor robes in Skyrim also look pretty nice, and the best part is you can get as many as you want by killing Thalmor agents, so that's a win-win.

If you're going to pass on robes though then heavy armor with a cape is a must. The Ganondorf / Darth Vader / Doctor Doom look is a classic for a reason.

The price for my resurrection became known immediately after I left my first world. A trio of deities, known as the golden goddesses, requested my benefactor's help in "purging" one of their worlds and "avoiding further shame" of one of their daughters.

After being sent down to the green plains of Hyrule, and freaking out because I was eleven again for some reason. I took a deep breath to calm myself. Then THAT hit my nose like a bowling ball.

"What the hell is that smell!?" It reeked of swine and... something else i can't quite pin down. The putrid hodor came from the forest, and was getting closer. I readied my bow, for whatever beast was exuding such fumes must foul indeed.

However, it was no beast. A shaky legged, comically endowed woman stumbled onto the green field, trying to conserve some of her modesty with a far to small sheet. Wait a minute. Golden hair, pointy ears, green eyes, skin as fair as porcelain...

"Oh, you must be their daughter.”

After a long and hard journey in which I had to endure the smell of swine whilst defending Zelda's (remaining) sanctity from everything with a dick, I finally stood over the body of the Ugliest Bastard. The source of all calamity, and the creature that ruined hot red headed brown amazonians for me.

As Ganon wheezed his last breath, a blonde twink bursted from inside of calamitie's black mass wriggling mass.

Zelda desperately reached out to her long lost lover, holding onto him for dear life. "He... He's alive!" She exclaimed with tears running down her eyes

Thank you, for everything you've done" I could feel her heartfelt gratitude as she said those words "As a reward, i offer you reign over the gerudo lands. As the first good-hearted male in forever, I'm sure your people will have a bright future ahead of them"

I a chuckled at the proposition "Do you even remember how many gerudos i had to castrate because they they kept trying to rape me, and you, to prove the 'superiority of the third gender' whenever we went to gerudo town? Why the hell why would i want to reign over those people?

"W-well, maybe i can name you chieftain of hateno village? You're very fond of the sheikah" she sighed "i just... want you to remain here, in Hyrule, alongside me." She reached out and held my hand close to her chest.

"But you told me the only man in your heart was link"

Y-yeah, but... I think i have space for you and Mr. Lynel and the entire bokoblin race in my heart" she blushed as she helded her two heroes "i don't care you look like kid, because I've seen the man you truly are."

"Sorry, I don't swing like that."Look, I had fun, despite all rape attempts, and you're a lovely girl but you're just not my type."

"And your kingdom is shithole. I can barely stand here without gagging because of the stench that permeates everything

"Now if you could sign this paper saying how much of a good hero i was, i can be on my merry way”

There's little point in survival if free will, individuality, imagination, creativity and actual consciousness is stamped out to achieve it. We know what a total Technocracy victory looks like, and it's also a total Weaver victory where all magic and fantasy dies and with it the human soul.

Concerning Solars and stealth, I’ve always liked one thing I saw in a commentary about the charms of the different types of Exalts.
>This is also the Solar limitation. It's not that they can't be subtle. But even a Night caste being stealthy or an Eclipse being sly does so in an extremely flashy, perfect sort of way, to the point where anyone in the know can TELL when there's a Solar at work. The nature of the Solar Charms would prevent them from being able to be secret agents like the Sidereals -- when a Solar is at work, it's obvious SOMEONE is at work, as opposed to the Sidereal schtick: "It just happened to turn out that way -- the world was saved and no one will every appreciate we who did it".
>This is why they are an unavoidable part of the setting and the first part of everyone's "other Exalts" section -- of all the Exalt types, they're the ones the others worry about the most because their very nature is to rewrite the world around them, even if their trade is subtlety and secrecy. Even as a secret agent, they'd be less of a Man in Black (Hi, Sid fans) and more James Bond.

How is this thing not brainwashing them?
>>
>>93937030
>How much love and obedience is based on the pokeball breaking them in>
That's literally never been a thing. Disobedience mechanics have been in since the very first game, and it's very much outright said that they follow you because you proved your strength by earning badges

Wait, what value does a badger have to a wild animal? Like, this thing has been in the wilds its entire life and all of a sudden a child shows it some metal clips and it just rolls over to submit? Are they magical?
I know in the games they are magical and each one boosts different stats and in the manga they could be combines to create a super weapon.
>>
>>93937109

(Alright there we go)

(Scenarios)
>Scenario section replaced with new DIY Scenario section with guidelines and instructions.
>Old Scenarios have been moved to the bottom of the document and are still applicable for those who prefer old stuff.

They represent being a gym leader. It's not the badge that impressed the pokemon, its being the gym leader that does. The badges are just for the convenience of the League to make sure you're qualified.
Also, you forget that pokemon are also sapient and still interact somewhat with humans. Enough to reasonable know that the little metal pin is usually a sign of a big dick tough guy human

Badges are mostly just a very visible and easy way to prove how good you are at training pokemon

>in the games they are magical and each one boosts different stats

Alright, here's the updated Jump, the Quirk Table supplement, and the Black versions. Bit of a changelog, conveniently needed to be split up across at least four posts, might have been able to be more efficient but whatever.

Couple things to note. One, I will be updating some of the existing Quirks on the table next update like how Double needs to go up a few tiers or how Homing needs to be adjusted to be more in line with the actual Quirk from canon since it's based on one. Two, I'll be adding the final batch of Quirks in the next update, so if you're sad about that right now, sorry. It will happen eventually it seems, just not right now. Three, I was gonna just post this next thread but since that might be quite a while yet I posted here to start gathering criticism and feedback on what to change sooner.

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy and stuff.

They are not trying to kill you. They let you run away if they win. Catching them is a matter of earning their loyalty. In SV we see that Pokemon could straight up break their Poke Balls, even Master Balls, if they felt like it.

In the Pokemon Trainer jump you can be a fighting type (aura user) or a psychic type thanks to perks. I know in the anime there is a body builder family that would be fighting type

I think my preferred quirk marriage still works at tier 3.

Longevity + High-Spec + Brick + Super-Regeneration

>Augmentative Regeneration:
Enhanced healing (Super-Regeneration)such that wounds close and limbs regrow at visible speed, while slower than other powerful regeneration quirks it is even more thorough to the point of healing the damage done by ageing (Longevity) making them extremely hard to kill without destroying or separating the head and torso. Every time this quirk heals the body it also leads to improved physical (Brick) and mental (High-Spec) abilities, though this growth will inevitably slow due to the body becoming harder to damage and requires a willingness to endure injury intentionally to make any reasonably fast progress.

>Scenario section is a 'build your own scenario' thing
The autist in me is bothered by the lack of structure. The writer in me likes the idea of Dragon Quirk Jumper becoming a Legendary Super Dragon through a Quirk Awakening in a final battle with All For One to claim control of Japan's criminal underworld, the ultimate example of greed against a being as greedy as any dragon.
>>
>>93937705
"Normal" is somehow a type. It's not scientific.
>>
>>93937566
Allow me to say something pretty brave and controversial... But Pokémon is stupid. It's one of those things you're supposed to turn your brain off to enjoy. It falls apart incredibly fast once you start questioning things like types, weaknesses, or even the very setting of the franchise.
>>
>>93937735
The weaknesses are pretty straightforward and the weird ones have extremely persistent headcanon justifications that are constantly parroted as confirmed facts, like the Psychic weaknesses being common fears, or Bug beating Dark because of Kamen Rider.
>>
>>93937084
>can't see the origin of Quirks with your own eyes

You use QP, but then the supplement uses CP as normal.
You shouldn't bother with a separate point system if it is going to be 1:1 anyways.

nta, but the spacing issue from 4 seems to be the result of you usually writing each of your sentences for fluff on their own lines. Depending on the perk you can usually find better ways to lump parts together, like a single quote on the first line, specific caveats and such related to jump mechanics and the like on their own line at the end, or more sparing breaks like only moving to the next paragraph for things like a section with a short list of effects, or when shifting from one major half of an option's benefits to the other if it's a more involved effect.

The user can implant their consciousness into the brain of a very recently deceased person, morphing the target's brain into a "prime health" copy of the user's and bringing the body back to life with an electric shock. The user has access to the quirk of the body they're controlling and possibly some of the remnants of their memories. The body may on rare occasions fight back against the user as a tiny bit of the consciousness lingers inside.

DIY Scenario - Ultimate Lifeform (objective is to create an evolved lifeform beyond humanity via quirk science. The reward is that it's actually super chill and just hangs out).

>>CHANGE: Nomu (100CP -> 400CP) (Obtains 100CP discount on all Quirks) (Associated with a Tiered Drawback)
This doesn't make much sense to me. You upped the price 300 CP in exchange of a 100 CP stipend. It would make sense if it costed 400 CP for something like having 3 or 4 quirks with that initial discount, actually building a canon Nomu, which always display several quirks (in fact, they are only turned into Nomu because normal humans that aren't AfO or Gigantomachia can't hold up multiple quirks without wrecking their bodies). Probably you should make that into its own perk, since you have three characters (four with a Nomu operation) that can handle multiple quirks. Or maybe make the Nomu free perk one that can be purchased outside the of the origin, referencing that same operation.

The tiers in the drawback also don't really fit the canon. Just having one quirk doesn't really make sense from the start, as Nomus are always assumed to have multiple quirks (see the guidebook). The big qualifier alongside with quirks is their physical enhancements preformed by the Doctor.

Also, no High-End modification perk? It is not even a thing that it's exclusive to Nomus, as Shigaraki got his body upgraded to High-End Nomu specs. Seems like you should get this into the Nomu origin, or as a general that they can discount.

I'm an old dog at this point I think. I could spend time polishing my craft and making broad changes to the way I write descriptions, but I think it might be a bit late in the game for me to adopt things like that now. I'll likely move the pic to the top or bottom of the page to help reduce some of the apparent issues.

>>93937924
>Nice update! I'm going in as a quirk scientist who's trying to make a super lifeform.
Thank you. You're straight up playing as Kenjaku in MHA from the looks of it? Seems pretty fun to me at least.
>Was that QP thing a scrapped mechanic? Cuz it gets mentioned in the Nomu stuff but the Quirk Supplement refers back to CP.
Yeah there were options relating to it but I thought it was an over-complicated measure and thought I removed most of the options and mentions. That seems like the last bits there.
>>
>>93937970
Ah, that's fine. Would suggest that pics be at the top of a page if it's the start of a subsection, or the end of a page if it's in the middle of a subsection or after a paragraph describing the way a section's supposed to be interacted with (see: customization tables). Otherwise, you get this jarring sensation because like the anon said putting the image in the middle of a page breaks the flow of information.
>>

>You're straight up playing as Kenjaku in MHA from the looks of it?
Yeah. I was gonna do a Sukuna Nomu build but I'm pretty sure you haven't dropped the new quirks yet and I wanted to goof around with the OP science stuff.

>You upped the price 300 CP in exchange of a 100 CP stipend.
It's not a 100CP stipend. It's 100CP off of any Quirk you purchase. If you pick up Six Tier 1 or higher Quirks you're getting 600CP worth of benefits.
>which always display several quirks (in fact, they are only turned into Nomu because normal humans that aren't AfO or Gigantomachia can't hold up multiple quirks without wrecking their bodies).
>The tiers in the drawback also don't really fit the canon. Just having one quirk doesn't really make sense from the start, as Nomus are always assumed to have multiple quirks (see the guidebook).
See that's what I was originally rocking with until multiple anons brought up Kurogiri as being a Nomu who only possesses one Quirk (as a result of the Quirk granted to him fusing with his original rather than remaining a distinct ability), and so you have the mono-quirk stuff.

>Probably you should make that into its own perk, since you have three characters (four with a Nomu operation) that can handle multiple quirks. Or maybe make the Nomu free perk one that can be purchased outside the of the origin, referencing that same operation.

Maybe. Not sure if I want whatever was done to Shiggy to be in the Jump by default given how freakishly powerful it made him without even needing a Quirk. It'd be hard to balance.

I guess fair on that.
>What?
We have several characters who have an explicit characteristic that lets them have multiple quirks even without the Nomu modification, so it seems that such attitude could be a perk.

>Maybe. Not sure if I want whatever was done to Shiggy to be in the Jump by default given how freakishly powerful it made him without even needing a Quirk. It'd be hard to balance.
You had like 12 High Ends + Shiggy. At least the High End modification seems like something that is seen enough to guarantee a place in the jump.
Shiggy is supposed to be by default around High End, but he can use internal quirks that AfO has accumulated, massively boosting him over that even if under the effects of Aizawa's quirk.

>We have several characters who have an explicit characteristic that lets them have multiple quirks even without the Nomu modification, so it seems that such attitude could be a perk.
Which ones? I can't recall any off the top of my head that didn't have some variation of All For One. I remember Spinner got an extra or two - temporarily - but he completely lost his mind and his cognitive abilities were drastically reduced.

>You had like 12 High Ends + Shiggy. At least the High End modification seems like something that is seen enough to guarantee a place in the jump.
Guarantee is a strong word because it makes it sound like it's a mandatory inclusion that I must write and put a price tag on.
>Shiggy is supposed to be by default around High End, but he can use internal quirks that AfO has accumulated, massively boosting him over that even if under the effects of Aizawa's quirk.
Was that mentioned? I'm unaware of that being the case, and it feels unusual that Aizawa's Quirk doesn't work if the Quirk usage is happening inside the body since it never appeared to care for that before.

>Which Ones?
Gigantomachia is a very explict one. Also, All for One doesn't guarantee that you can hold too many. Shiggy needed the modification to be able to hold many, while Nine with a degraded version of AfO still had a limit on how many he could hold. It seems that All for One had a natural talent for handling that many (and even then he couldn't hold every quirk ever).
>Guarantee is a strong word because it makes it sound like it's a mandatory inclusion that I must write and put a price tag on.
I mean, it seems like a thing that is done enough times and relevant enough in the story.
Obviously you could also make a Hero Academia jump without whatever you want, it just not going to represent the setting well enough.
>Was that mentioned?
Chapter 358. AfO taking root in his body gave him the ability to mutate and made him stronger. Basically he has so many quirks inside that he can mold his body and adapt to things like poison without it counting as a quirk that Eraser can seal.
Unless you mean him having a process like the High Ends done to him, that was whenever Endeavor fought him in the hospital raid.
>>
I'm familiar with MHA but I haven't read it, so I guess I'll stick to the support side of things for a more fail safe approach to the jump.
I gotta give the quirk doc a good read later but might as well ask, any quirks that superhuman intellect could take good advantage of? Utility preferred but combat usefulness is nice too.

>any quirks that superhuman intellect could take good advantage of? Utility preferred but combat usefulness is nice too.
Creation quirk can make anything out of your body fat but requires precise knowledge of the atomic structure of what you're making. It also comes out of your skin, which can be a bit limiting since you can't make deadly neurotoxin or acid or anything like that.
>>
>>93938275

>Gigantomachia is a very explict one.
My bad, yeah, fair.
>Also, All for One doesn't guarantee that you can hold too many. Shiggy needed the modification to be able to hold many
Sure, but just having the Quirk allows you to have multiple Quirks without bodily issues, so the modifications are more just providing a sturdier framework for it.
>I mean, it seems like a thing that is done enough times and relevant enough in the story.
>Obviously you could also make a Hero Academia jump without whatever you want, it just not going to represent the setting well enough.
Three individuals total display what could be described as a completed version of this; the Nomu All Might fights at the start, the Nomu Endeavor fights, and Shigaraki. The first two are treated as bizarrely dangerous and borderline out of context threats, while Shiggy is a borderline invincible juggernaut. The remaining high ends are underdeveloped and can't even deal with Mirko by herself in a sealed room before backup arrives. You're wanting me to put this into the Jump when it's explicitly just stronger than every other capstone and then give Nomu a discount on it. I need you to see why I'm very hesitant about this.
>Chapter 358. AfO taking root in his body gave him the ability to mutate and made him stronger. Basically he has so many quirks inside that he can mold his body and adapt to things like poison without it counting as a quirk that Eraser can seal.
When I originally read this it made it sound like he actually did just have these abilities through the augmentation even without the assistance of any Quirks, which is why Monoma, Manual, and Aizawa were doing their level best to keep the Quirks shut off as this malleable finger monster man was doing all this shit even with all his Quirks shut off.

Unless someone has any other issues I need to address I'm going to stick this to the bottom of the notes and call Alchemical Solutions done.

>A few examples of the initial and future upgrades that Alchemicals might get to their parahuman, Taylor is able to use her charms through her bugs as if they were an extension to herself and after unlocking some dormant modules for it can broaden her potential targets beyond bugs, her power briefly showed its future potential of going full kepri without the range reduction but that wasn’t something she is or will anytime soon be able to use without ‘problems’. Less developed examples include Aisha being able to control her power fully and have it work on machines, a Case-53 being cured and replacing bone control with Adamant crystal control, and a pervert turning a teleporting power with a pocket dimension layover into that plus an exalted grade supermax prison. For some suggestions/examples the powers offered above Power Builder’s charge rate and soft cap might grow with Essence instead of relying only on slow investments, Crossroads Fortress eventually let you have more specters at once and let them out of the dimension, and Dollmaker Poppet will of course be getting more methods to assimilate, empower, and improve her Dolls/Hosts/Selves as she grows into things. Eventually all Shard Charms will give the user full access to their capabilities but that’s a far future matter akin to plot device essence 10 bullshit, in more sensible time frames it will be just upgrades to their initial power.

You're not really getting this. Their stuff is all Quirk based, and you can get some really jacked up Quirks already, and stuff like the scenario section lets you get stuff like OFA, AFO, or a Quirk Awakening on top of that. This isn't a Quirk. It is not mutually exclusive with Quirks. It's stronger than most of them by several degrees and able to work alongside them. This isn't competing against Quirks - and thus all the other top end character gimmicks - when it comes to pricing and balancing.
>It seems that you are still stuck in the original 100 or 200 chapters where the jump was made and that everyone should stick to the supporting character role.
Unless that perk costs your whole budget, you're requesting me to potentially permit builds that just solo the rest of the setting as you assert yourself as end game Shiggy with whatever busted Quirk (or Quirks if you're a Nomu) you prepped for yourself.

nta, but that's precisely why - it's bullyable because it's on one end of the too small vs too big. It's basically resume fluff for when those shits bitch at a bigger IP that they think actually matters. Doesn't help that the series composer was doing his damndest to help dig the series' grave overseas by being a senile asshat that refuses to let the original score be published on non-JP copies because music industry brainrot, resulting in objectively shittier synth sequencing for the PAL versions that only serves to highlight the fact his compositional style hasn't adapted to the post-PS1 era - and that's being charitable. I like the samples the DS games used, but the difference really stands out on stuff like DQ 11 and a couple of the other more recent releases. kind of like the finished OST for BD/SP compared to the 'original' 1.0.0 placeholder tracks for most of the rest of that game with the shitty trumpets that'd make Gen 3 want their meme back.

Anything that doesn't rely on exotic physics, such as essence or shard bullshit, would work aslong as you've got a solid understanding of how it worlds.

For instance you'd need to take a good look at the reciever for a modern rifle to see how the mechanism works, and a relatively comparable level of understanding of other equipment.

Esentially you need to know it as well as a soldier who maintains his own gun knows of that gun.

There's a big war arc where the heroes raid the Monster Association (a group of monsters that have all banded together, which are secretly led by Fubuki's old schoolmate Psykos). During this arc we learn about God, a being that was sealed away in a separate dimension and communicates via cubes, and is the one that empowers homeless emperor. We learn Blast is part of a group of dudes who fight God which is why he's never around, but he shows up to get one of God's cubes. Psykos was also manipulated by God. Garou ends up involved in the MA base trying to save a kid and gets super strong, then God empowers him and he kills every hero passively with radiation except Genos, then kills Genos.

Saitama gets super pissed and rights Garou, having an epic anime fight across the solar system where Saitama is actually growing exponentially to keep ahead of Garou, meaning by the end of the fight Garou is way stronger than Saitama was at the start. Garou realizes the error of his ways and uses his new god powers to teach Saitama how to time travel, which Saitama does and fixes everything by immediately knocking Garou out the moment he gets God powers.

From there there's stuff about the evil ninja village Sonic and Flashy Flash grew up in. The dude who runs the village is a minion of God and absorbed Garou's power, so he can leap out of the universe and attack from outside the universe with a giant space slash.

What is your jumpers tax policy?
>>
>>93938789
Wow, that is both dumb and awful. Thanks psycho
>>
>>93938790
I let some hack TV writers issue my tax policies with no input from me and let them ruin my entire government forever, destroying my motivation to run it at all.
>>
>>93938790
My tax code is thousands of pages long and cannot be succinctly summarized in a 4chan post.

To be more specific being a Parahuman is pretty much the ideal circumstances for the Alchemical Capstone, because the capstone is replicating what Autobot does to Shards.

To eat someone else's shard you'd need to get that shard to connect to and become your power source instead of theirs.

If you can get a being to commit themselves to being your direct power source shard style you can just convert them into your power, but in other cases where a being just breaks off a piece of their power to give/lend it to you you'd just be turning that piece into truly YOUR power instead of theirs. Not eating the entire being.

This means that sadly it isn't so easy to use this to eat Galactus, or the like.

Murata has absolutely annihilated this IP. Jesus Christ.
>>

That's correct, yes. The only thing that's happened is that they've moved documents and Power Lottery is the new way to adjust their level and combine them.

>You are not getting that Nomus are also increased by augmentations done outside of quirks by the Doctor, so it has nothing to do with Quirks.
What? I'm saying the augmentations and their potential aren't Quirks. All the other top characters are strong because of their Quirks.
>High End got killed by Endeavor, though?
Hood was barely beaten by Endeavor supported by Hawks, the top two heroes after All Might retired. Hood barely had any semblance of a mind left, and his best Quirk was regen and everything else supporting raw stats. We're talking about Jumpers with full cognitive abilities and the ability to pick up the most busted Quirk they can think of, or Quirks in the case of Nomu which you previously wanted to get this at a discount. Overhaul, Gigantification, and Meatball is one potential combo off the top of my head to become a borderline invincible meat storm that pulverizes everything it touches on barest contact.
>Just read
Homie I can read and have been reading it every time you link back to it, and read the page when it first came out.

It's like, entirely off base of what it's supposed to be. The webcomic is leaps and bounds better

Is Ready to Rumble 10x strong as the average person? It feels weird we're given an exact number for how strong high ends are without quirks and it never shows up in the doc.
>>
>>93938840
Why does ONE let him do it? Has he just checked out? He clearly always liked that little Beatle boy more anyway.
>>
>>93938800
>>93938832
Why ask if the answer pisses you off so bad?
>>
>>93938853
ONE is literally signing off on all of the stuff Murata does and works with him on other projects too. They do not have the retarded antagonistic relationship you think they have.
>>
>>93938706
You get one scenario homie. With that one scenario I let you go apeshit and come up with whatever narrative and reward you want. This is my way of letting people get the busted stuff, but they get one busted thing and I don't have to answer a ton of questions on what exactly my intent was on wording and pricing. You want One For All, All For One, Quirk Awakening, or something equally as busted? There you go. You're also not asking for this to increase build variety, you're telling me if I don't include this then I'm not doing it right.
>>
>>93938854
Because I asked and my jumper went there

>>93938863
So he wants OPM to be bad on purpose?
>>
>>93938781
Havent been on thread in a few days, thanks for the jump. Im seriously tempted to use it as my new jump 1.
>>
>>93938538
>you're requesting me to potentially permit builds that just solo the rest of the setting
There are plenty of builds that can do that though?

What do you think would happen if Star and Stripe slammed Trigger into her veins?

The writing in the Tatsumaki's legs manga is bad? It has writing? Huh?
