>>94325447So back in the day, Magic actually had a time line with numbered dates. There was even two calenders, one was called The Argivian Reckoning (AR) and the other one was Penregon Founding (PF) which year 0 was dated as the founding of Argive. There were a few more minor dating systems, including one called Common Era. Meanwhile the AR marks year 0 at the time of Urza and Mishra's alleged birth (despite them not being twins). At that time PF was at year 900 or so. This gets mentioned because the lore community wondered where the Reckoning of the Sages of Minorad fall into it. Being pre-revisionist lore only mentioned in the comics, its time scale is different from the late 90s and up time scale. A common explanation in those days was that since Reckoning was used exclusively by planeswalkers, it's a multi-universal time scale, and that's why it doesn't match up with the PF and AR timelines.

>>94325540One biggest crime of the Brady bunch is how mundane most of them came off. I mean I knew kid, outside the tattoo's, who looked just like Jace. These are supposed to be wizards who, compared to a mere mortal at least, were self styled gods. They should on some level, look over the top, and stand out.

>>94325577The Golgothian Sylex is one of the most interesting pieces of lore, returning as late as last year, where Karn tried to use it to nuke Mirrodin from its core. I once wrote a rather long post in my mostly abandoned blog on what the Golgothian (or Golgoth) might be, since other than it was found, nothing about the history of the relic is ever mentioned. https://gunnarsonbag.blogspot.com/2019/02/lore-searching-for-galgothians.html

>>94325780I always enjoyed how quickly MtG was to incorporate Arabian Nights into its own lore. It was a knee jerk reaction in a time when there was nothing before it to get a set out before Christmas, The whole set was designed in under a month (and almost without flavor text). In this recent string of 'We've had Universe Beyond since 1993) posts, I would often remind them that was basically retconned by 1995, and the whole set takes place of Rabiah of the Infinite.

>>94327608With this, issue 4 has happened. The Nightmare appears in its own comic as well, and is in itself, a Planeswalker (I think)

The colorist did a great job on this.
God this is so sick love it.
