>>94298047Are there any programs or websites that have lessons on openings similar to how chess.com does puzzles? Or is there a way to make a chess computer play specific openings so I can practice?I'd like some sort of setup where I'm just given a variation of an opening and expected to fill in the next few moves, repeat as nauseum.
>>94298544You can set up any opening in the board editor an click "continue from here".

Tyler 2.0 has been found: https://youtu.be/PdBRqHxz_YI?si=yxg9WnEsVALYqTOM&t=1500Take a look at the analysis if you haven't seen him already. 25:00-28:15 is a great slice. He plays talking about vague positional ideas but is afraid of calculation. A fun combo to witness, and could actually hit 2k rapid if he put in the mental work. Enjoy!

Playing chess against the AI can create some wild situations.
>>94306819You can have wild situations with humans too if you play Bughouse.
>>94305206That's a closed tournament. Players like Firouzja need to do opens before the end of the year or their FIDE Circuit points will be deemed invalid.
First time playing the Marshall after being exposed to the theory like a year ago. Took me some time to even remember c6 but I ended up playing all "computer" moves for the final moves. It's really not my style, but I can't deny it's exhilarating to win such a game!

What puzzle rating should I aim for before I start learning other parts of the game? And when am I good enough to play against other humans?

I've found a cute web app that let you play against yourself: https://jjjchess.pythonanywhere.com>inb4 black wins every game

how to embrace being bad at chess?
In the future I might make a "chess clone" or a chess variant, kinda wondering what people like most about chess outside the idea of it being pure skill to keep in mind.
