I had a player during Out of the Abyss who was a Paladin and had the obligatory Paladin warhorse. I also added Malcanthet (and Pazuzu) to OotA. Malcanthet actually wasn’t a demon lord anymore (she’d grown bored with ceaseless chaos and was NE now) and mostly just wanted to fuck with Graz’zt, so was offering to help the PCs out if they helped her fuck with Graz’zt. Anyway the Paladin player was actually kind of into it, apparently, and we were getting pretty close to “fade to black” territory when he added in that he also wanted the horse to get some.

I was the DM, and I was trying to distinguish Malcanthet from Graz’zt since their portfolios otherwise overlap a fair bit.

Malcanthet is all about getting you to indulge in your desires to the detriment of accomplishing anything else, but she isn’t necessarily trying to create new ones, she just wants you to be selfish, hedonistic, and self-indulgent. He’s like the ultimate pusher, the one who gets you hooked on something benign (she’s barely legal!) then pushes you to cross the line (she’s 17, she knows what she’s doing!) and then cross that line (old enough to bleed, old enough to breed) and then that line (you should make sure she’s ready for when she grows up!) and then that line (who cares how young she is, she’s YOUR daughter), and so on.

Every single Demon Prince I ran in OotA was capable of talking and having a conversation with the players - otherwise what’s the point of those superhuman mental stats that they all have? They didn’t all do so, but the fact that I didn’t just have them be mindlessly violent helped to lead to some of the best RPing I’ve ever done. In particular there was a fantastic bit that involved the PCs meeting Yeenoghu as he was setting up camp after a long day of hunting and I had him be actually, genuinely friendly towards them, and the PCs and the Demon Prince of Hunger had a bit of a philosophical discussion about hunger and how it’s a primordial, driving force that can make anyone do anything to sate it

It’s worth noting that OotA has a vague Alice in Wonderland theme throughout and a major element of madness, so throughout the entire campaign I was deliberately trying to drive my players insane.

N.B.: Players, not player characters.

So the entire time I was doing things to drive them crazy - gave them a ton of NPC allies to keep track of, had them run into demon lords way too powerful to fight so they had to try and talk their way out of things, kept telling them “you will need to roll a 9 or a 10 at a certain point” and then when we reached that point 2/3rds of the way through and they actually did roll a 10 on the d100 Maze Engine check I started the entire campaign over (in fairness, this is actually in the book), straight-up just adding the Water Temple from Ocarina of Time and making it the layer of a beholder named Xazax and have all his beholderkin minions have names that were anagrams of Xazax which they repeated constantly, etc.. Adding Malcanthet was another way for me to try and claw at their psyche.

I only did this to them because it’s the same gaming group I’ve been with for a decade and a half at that point (and two decades now) and so I know how far I can push them.

It's important when starting a campaign or joining one that everyone kind of touch base on what they are comfortable with and how far things should be allowed to go in game. If a game isn't an ERP and someone tries to go there, it can be pretty jarring and really change the whole vibe. When it comes to just being a bit perverted, I think there's an element of 'read the room'. Get a feel for whether or not the others appreciate that kind of humor and also make sure you are differentiating between yourself and your character, because it's one thing for your character to have that as a quirk of theirs, it's another for you to infodump about your fetishes at the table.

I don't have a ton of personal experience yet but I was personally really worried my character's sexual trauma in her backstory and her canonically being hypersexual as a result would cause problems. But it didn't, because I didn't push other character's boundaries with her or make it her whole personality. If anything she spent most of the time masking it like a normal person would with it only coming up if there was plot relevant shit or if she tries to seduce an NPC. In which case there was just fade to black and everyone just kind of joked about it all, so it was all in good fun.

I suppose the most negative experience was when a friend who had a crush on me was trying to teach me DnD. I had been making it clear I wasn't romantically interested in him so when he tried to suggest we bring romance and erotica into our DnD I shut it down hard. Normally it wouldn't have bothered me at all, but this guy was really wearing on my nerves at the time so it was different. Hell, I've ERPd with friends online before, no problem, but it was more than that with him and was really feeling like boundaries were being tested instead.

This is one of the most BIZARRE stories I experienced as a DM with a That Guy situation. But this time That Guy was my best friend. And the worst part is the ending.

in 20 years of playing frequently with many friends a few acquaintances only 1 incident occurred that qualifies as perversion. Its was in the middle of 1996 and a schoolmate, we were out of school for a few years by then, that was the jerk that nobody liked but that had gotten attached to us (imagine a large number of friends as US) came to a session. He has previously created problems but not like this one, just angry moronic egotistic fights, and had not played with him for years.

Our guard was down, never played with him after this. Have not had relations with him since end of 1996.

He went out of his way to isolate a farm girl (the one they were supposed to save) and killed her and then "raped her" with an arrow. This was bizarre (we were all WHAT THE FUCK IS HE DOING THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE IN A NUTHOUSE) but in retrospect normal from someone like him. Women did not like him and not even with money could he get laid.

To cut it short, we stopped all relations with him slowly and steadily. And i mean everyone.

He created various, numerous problems in real life as well as the years went by as we would hear from time to time. Seems went genuinely insane.

Seems in real life he could not have sex, not just ugly, smelly, egotistic and carrying every flaw you can possibly imagine but impotent as well. Hated everyone, everything, cared only for money and himself. Thought himself brad pitt while sadly looked like a quasimodo to say the least. It was sad and he was beyond all and any help, let alone friendly advice.

That was it just one. So pretty much almost zero incidents.

the actual reaction when this happened was "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU RUINED THE ADVENTURE, FUCK YOUR MOTHER" and some other stuff. Not in english, by a player not the DM (just looked on the jackass with what we would now call PEPE REJECTING YOU FROM THE LIVING LOOK).

Well the PCs needed the heart of a powerful demon - a goristro or above - for a ritual (to banish the demon princes back to the Abyss, though they didn't tell Yeenoghu that part, just that they were hunting a goristro). The problem is that I had demons discorporate and return to the Abyss when killed outside their home plane (or, rather, dissolve into black tar and ooze, but the point is they left no body behind), so the PCs thought they'd need to head to the Abyss. But as a Demon Prince, and in particular the Demon Prince of Hunger, Yeenoghu was able to actually kill an extraplanar entity even if not on its home plane, via magic flail. So he offered to help them hunt down a goristro the following day when Yeenoghu broke camp. They ended up spending the night buried under a pack of gnoll and hyena fur (Yeenoghu's followers/creations)

The next day they set out, Yeenoghu's gnolls and hyenas quickly tracking down a bunch of demons in the Underdark, including a goristro. Yeenoghu and his pack just had fun with the lesser demons while the PCs fought the goristro and knocked it down to low enough HP that Yeenough came over and smashed its head off with his flail, killing it.

I should pause here and note that while Yeenoghu was "friendly", I was doing my best Tomura Shiguraki impersonation for his voice and really trying to make the players feel that with one wrong move they might set him off.

Anyway, he congratulated the PCs on being able to take down a goristro (admitting his own last blow was pure formality, the PCs clearly had this), and now they should take their prize. One of the PCs decided that that was enough and bolted; Yeenoghu sicked his gnolls and hyenas after the "weakling" but didn't personally pursue him. Meanwhile the rest of the PCs did as Yeenoghu "suggested" and ate their way to the demon's heart. By the time they'd finished Yeenoghu and his gnolls had left. I also told all the PCs that their hair felt a little thicker, and their teeth a little sharper, and for the rest of the campaign I kept bringing up opportunities for them to eat raw meat (especially from anyone they'd killed) and telling them how delicious it smelled. By implication if they'd kept eating raw meat they would have gradually turned into gnolls.

Random stranger in his first session offering sex to get his way was weird, but the fact that the full price of the information was 10 in-game dollars and the character had a sizeable income was what got me. Found out later the dude was a gay furry, so we dodged a few bullets there.

For the record the main reason the encounter happened at all is because in the book, the PCs are just supposed to see Yeenoghu kill a goristro, and then sneak up on the battlefield after the fact and get the heart that way, maybe while fighting some gnolls, but in any event after Yeenoghu has left. Otherwise Yeenoghu is supposed to be continuously hunting the PCs as a kind of menacing clock but not otherwise interacted with directly, since he's too powerful for their level.

But my issue with that was that Yeenoghu has a passive Perception of 24 and Truesight out to 120 feet. I couldn't imagine how the PCs - none of them very stealthy, several of them in heavy armor - could possibly remain hidden from Yeenoghu. His senses are superhuman; he's basically instantly aware of everyone nearby just by being able to smell or hear them. So if the PCs were close enough to actually see Yeenoghu then they'd necessarily be close enough for Yeenoghu to see, hear, and smell them. Direct combat seemed inevitable.

Plus, the whole situation with Yeenoghu seemed pretty similar to another one with Baphomet elsewhere in the book, where the PCs are in a giant maze that Baphomet is in and he's kind of hunting them. So I wanted Yeenoghu to be distinct, and the idea of him stopping to set up camp and be in a chatty mood seemed fun. Plus it seemed a lot more interesting to have the PCs actually involved in defeating a goristro, rather than just coming across an already-dead one.

I've posted every so often about my femDM and her inflicting ryona on every female PC she could. Which wasn't even supposed to be an erp campaign but she went full magical realm on us. That was likely some of the worst, caught the group by surprise but overall no one freaked out and we went along with it like a guilty pleasure.
Now my current group have all agreed to turn things into a lewd campaign, which may not count as the perversion is intended and planned. As for gamers being prudes, I've never encountered them outside of this board. Probably no one wants a porn campaign dropped into what was supposed to be a PG-13 game, but also most people don't care what anyone else is doing at another table.

in TTRPG setting I had a friend who is now out as a gay man rp a female gnome and try to constantly hit on my character and get them to fuck.
